Google
Lidl is a bit more upscale than its sister Aldi...bigger, more brand named items...bakery has some good breads at great prices and Lidl has many more housewares, tools and miscellaneous odds and ends as well as wines and name brand beers.

Devon M.

Google
Love shopping here. Aldi-like savings with a cleaner, more spacious shopping experience. Great place to do your weekly grocery trip. Pick up a freshly made treat at the bakery!

Cade L.

Google
This Lidl is always so nice. It's right near everything and they always have tons of stock. Clean and the fruit doesnt have flies or anything gross. I love going to the bakery and getting some super fresh pastries! The best part is this Lidl is always a speedy checkout as long as you don't get stuck behind a super slow customer. I always go here when Lidl is having a good sale.

Google
My favorite grocery store. I wish it was closer to my house. Low prices, tons of special buys and you just never know what new thing you'll find to try. As a former Maryland girl I also love every time I find favorite flavor or treat that I haven't seen down here.

Wendy W.

Google
Love the prices, selection and holiday items. Plenty of parking and never too busy.

Google
GREAT FOOD PRICES. Very good quality meat, fish, and chicken. Excellent selection of cheeses and dairy. Nice variety of uncommon specialty foods, spices, sauces, and pasta products. A nice bakery. Nice munchies, cookies, candies, cakes, muffins. The staff is nice and the store is always clean

Google
Awesome place for great deals and variety of foreign foods. If you like Aldi’s you will love Lidi, with there fresh baked breads and pastries. Lidi has weekly specials and has food country events, for example Greek, German, French, Asian, Italian to name a few. Lidi also has special cheese, meats and olives from different countries…it’s a really nice and clean store, give them a try

Google
Not too impressed, let down!!!...I visited the store the Tuesday after it opened....they had not finished setting up the store and more than two areas were not even stocked with grocery or produce. Prices are roughly the same as Aldi's. Very disappointed to find roughly the same if not slightly less organic options as Aldi's. Had such high hopes for a more economical Trader Joe's like store, it is no where near that!

Tracy P.

Yelp
The self checkouts are AWFUL. You can't put the bag down first and you can't put it down at the same time as the purchase because the machine thinks you are trying to steal. You can't remove an item from the checkout before payment. These self checkouts are the worst and no one. comes promptly to help There could be a dozen people in line and they won't open a 2nd line. Horrible!

Craig T.

Yelp
I love the store. I shop here every week. However, this location is always a mess outside. It always has trash outside Especially around the sidewalks around the building. Sometimes the entry area and near front of the store near the bakery the floor stays dirty. Maybe the area manager can make a difference.

Yelp
For those of you familiar with Aldi, it's a little bigger and kind of similar. Bring your own shopping bags or grab one of their empty boxes to put groceries in. Finally a grocery store that isn't pricey! One thing to remember... if the tag that is yellow and on sale says 2 for $5 ( you MUST buy 2 to get discount) I'll be back again!

Danielle R.

Yelp
four years I would have given this place a five star review, but no more. I left two stars, mostly just because I feel like one star reviews are being overly dramatic, and it was still a store with food, but it was honestly probably only worth one star. Upon entry, the store smells awful. The price of their produce has gone through the roof, with quality greatly diminished. The disappointment didn't stop there as I walked through the aisles, something seemed off until I put it together. Lidl used to have a different selection of items than were normally found in American grocery stores. Now looking around, I see it's almost all typical brands that you see here, filled with all of the same chemicals and additives. It's basically like Walmart now, but with way less selection. Nothing here is unique. The prices are terrible, just like every grocery store these days. Are used to absolutely rave about this place, but it's gone completely to hell
google avatar

Lori L.

Yelp
This was my first time at this location. The store is roomy and they have a good bit of items but depending on what time you come in the produce section can be pretty empty. I love shopping at aldi because the prices are good and most of their stuff is good quality. I do like the self checkout for the most part but hate when I there is an issue you have to wait for the cashier to get done with a transaction before they can come over and help you. Overall, it's a good store with good prices.

Yelp
I came in with low expectations, but ended up really liking this store. Was wondering why I saw so many people holding pineapples in front of the store, and then first thing we saw when we walked in was whole pineapples for 88 cents and watermelons for 2.49. No wonder! Nice first impression. Then, we walked directly into the bakery section and it kind of felt like Ikea. Not that it's set up similarly, but maybe it was the scent of the cinnamon rolls. They actually had cinnamon swirls for .59, so we grabbed a couple of those along with a chocolate chunk cookie and an oatmeal raisin, both chunky thick and only .49 each. Super delicious, by the way. The store has mostly no-name items, along with a few name brands here and there like Aldi. The store is bright, open and large, modern, and can handle the crowds. Lots and lots of employees everywhere even on a Friday evening. There's a large wine section with their version of "two buck Chuck" in red and white, which is $2.79. Like Santa Margarita Pinot Grigio? Lowest price I've seen anywhere. Staple item prices are really good, as well. I didn't find everything I needed but will definitely stop back in for the items I know I like, the same way I do with Aldi. Great addition to the area!

M G.

Yelp
Beware of misleading information about pricing and angry management members as these boxes are ringing up at $2.99 as I was loading my cart, I was scolded by a member of management that told me they were $2.99 a gallon. None of the boxes were open and the sign clearly states 128 fl oz. at $2.34 per ounce (are you confused yet?)After show the manager that he proceeded to argue with me as ifI was stupid and did understand how 64oz Make a gallon. When Walmart is right across the street I asked myself why am I wasting my time, energy and money at a place that clearly doesn't have there store together. I uninstalled the Lidl app on my phone as I won't be going back.

Yelp
Well I think I like this place a tad more than Aldi. It's the selection of produce here I prefer over Aldi. I shouldn't compare the two I guess but there so dang similar it's hard not to. Basically because after shopping here, I'm not going to shop at Aldi. I don't see any reason to. It's the produce I'm looking for and Lidl takes the cake hands down. Tons of fresh choices and herbs too. They have fresh flowers too and a small bakery area to purchase desserts. They have a good beer and wine selection also. They also have bulk nuts you can buy. Just fill up your bag and weigh it. They also have a couple of rows with household items. No quarter needed for a cart. So as expected carts are in the parking lot but at least you don't have to remember your quarter. You do need to bring your own bags unless you purchase theres and they also have brown bags for only 7 cents. And yes you bag your own groceries just like at Aldi. I think I will miss Aldi but I'm only here for the produce as I think I've mentioned too many times now. I got that whole cart full of veggies, fruit, nuts, beer, wine and flowers for $113.

Yelp
I visited the store up on Wade Hampton in Greenville,SC. Bought some items Not a fan. Prices were that of any other store, product was mostly generic brand Strike one Chicken patties were slider size,Strike two. Opened up a package of Gouda cheese to fine it was moldy ! Strike three. Worst shopping experience ever. I WILL NEVER GO BACK!

Yelp
Updating my review... As a frequent customer since the store opened, and as someone who pays A LOT of attention to what they eat, I've noticed this store has slowly been lowering their standards of food. This is most likely to meet the consumer base of the area. This is disappointing. This store has been a great place to get quality foods at a lower cost than some of the other big box health grocers. They do still carry a good deal of household staple vegetables at a lower cost and higher quality than stores like bilo or Publix. They also have shifted to only "lidl" (unknown brands) of alcohol. Previously it was a mix of mainline companies and lidl brands. They do not carry much in the way of meat alternatives or vegan options. Their self check out is often unmanaged and will leave you sitting for quite some time, if something doesn't work right.

Yelp
I actually went to this store to check out their pastries and whatnot. But decided to do some regular grocery shopping while I was there. First off, it's like an Aldi but better. Many more offerings. Prices were also very reasonable, too. While it was very crowded, the wide aisles made it easy to navigate. First thing you notice upon arrival is the donuts, croissants and other baked goods. While the quality isn't top-shelf, the prices are fantastic. So you get what you pay for, which I'm okay with. I actually thought the buttery, warm croissants were incredible. Donuts were pretty good, especially at 33 cents each. Bagels were meh. My only complaint really was that a few of the staples of my regular diet were not available: soda water and half & half creamer. Guess I'll get those elsewhere. Also the only reason why I gave them 4 stars instead of 5. I read a couple of 1 star reviews before writing mine and thought they were unreasonable. But tomatoe/tomato, right? Truthfully, I'd go back just for their pastries if nothing else.

Yelp
This store is not for everyone. Good thing there are a variety of different grocery stores around to please people. For us, Lidl works. We also do our shopping at Aldi, but I do prefer Lidl. We tend to come early on the first day of the week to avoid the crowd. We like their selections and while we cannot find everything we need as a family it is ok. If you are on a tighter budget then this place is great. I always get the Lidl flyer (except for next week, because I forgot) to circle sales items for the following shopping trip. Checkout has never been a problem for us. Overall we are pleased with this location and will continue to shop here. Bring your own bags!

Yelp
I'm thrilled with my few Trips to look and shop and sure wish for one closer than two hour drive. I buy when I visit Virginia. Everything is fantastic prices, plenty of variety in good wines, good quality fresh food which I love. Bagged sauerkraut is beyond delightful. Please bring one closer to franklin nc Nina
google avatar

Yelp
When you hit it just right they will have all the items you like. I like their produce section but find the rest of the store rather messy or unkept. The checkout system is always challenging with only 1 or 2 registers open and as many as 5 customers in each line.
google avatar

Yelp
Cashiers are wearing masks but they are habitually pulling them down to speak. Three times, I asked my cashier not to move her mask below her nose and mouth to talk to me. She refused to comply.

Bad B.

Yelp
Maybe people need to visit again because I'm a huge fan of Lidl. First visited them in Sweden and my trips to the stores in the US have all been positive. I think of them like Aldi on steroids with a real bakery & better overall selection.

Madelyn A.

Yelp
HEY IT'S ANOTHER ALDI, JUST BIGGER! While driving down the road, we noticed this new German import and knew that we would have to check it out on the return trip. The first thing you will notice is the free carts that you don't have to rent but are not as neat as the Aldi carts. Upon entering, I immediately noticed the blinding lights. Whoo!! These lights could actually light up a city! They have a bakery department where you can get freshly prepared cookies and pastries. The treats are behind a glass window but there are open holes that allow you to reach in and serve yourself. It is the perfect set-up for mouth breathers, unsupervised tots and the unwashed masses to contaminate the lot. I simply need a more sanitary situation when it comes to my food. This store is larger and more open than Aldi's with better signage. It carries many of the same brands and more organic options. Some of the prices are lower, (bananas at 35 cents per lb, extra large eggs for $1.09 per dozen) but others might be similar or actually higher. The check-out process is the same and yes, you will need to bring your own bags. If you like Aldi, you will probably like this store too.
google avatar

Clara S.

Yelp
I always look forward to the new non-food items that they bring in. The latest item I purchased was a silicone spring form pan that was priced very attractively. It was a steal, I could not resist. To those who are as weak as me, I implore you...stay away! How I wish Aldi would carry more SKUs.

Yelp
This place has great value and it's bag-free !! It's very similar to Aldi but I think that the prices are better and the bakery is WAY better. Fresh pastries and bread, great wine section, and many cheese, meat, and frozen varieties.

Yelp
I had read about Lidl coming in and taking America by storm willing to lose money for the next 2 yrs if that meant taking market share. Lord knows we could use some deflation everything has gone up in price the last 5-6 yrs. Since I didn't need to do all out shopping but just get a few things I can't delve into everything price wise. Perusing the aisles the place is clean, and big, open windows and brightly lit areas, your staples bread, milk and eggs were on par with WM or Aldi. They have a bakery dept that was nice. Craft beer selection, nothing I recognized, plantains, and fruits were a good deal, coffee was a decent price as well. Bag your own or buy, same as Aldi, organic prices were comparable. Take America by storm, I doubt it, would I shop here on a regular basis, I liked it but can't seem to be overly excited about it. If we had one close by I could get a better feel for it. With trucking costs exploding I have a feeling Lidl is not going to be able to make a go of it just being low cost. I enjoy competition we'll see in the next few yrs, check it out.

Bill H.

Yelp
OK, used to have no experience with a "self-help" type grocery store. However, I LOVE LIDL!! most items are at the lowest prices around. Meats are good. they ever have lamb!! how cool is that? I have enough bags saved that i will never have to spend the dime it cost to get them. Please experience this place if you have not already - you will be delighted to hear the price once you check out and how little you just spent.
google avatar

Yelp
We had never been to a Lidl until the other day. It's basically an Aldi on steriods. All the great prices, twice as big, better selection and a better looking store. We loved it!

Yelp
First experience at Lidl this afternoon and I have to say I'm a fan. I love that it's only 5 minutes from my house too. I'm a big Aldi lover and when Lidl was announced it was opening in Greenville, I'm not ashamed to say I researched it heavily. I was also excited about the bigger store and more offerings. Mostly the self serve bakery though, girl loves her bread ok? Flash forward today when I actually shopped at Lidl, it was packed but that's what I get for coming on a Sunday. I made a mental note to try other days of the week. The store is huge and they have a wider selection than aldi which is nice. From the bakery to the deli there was a lot to choose from which I enjoyed. The prices are great as well so that will certainly keep me coming back. I have to comment on the extensive wine and beer selection, it's awesome and you seriously can't beat the prices.
google avatar

Chad S.

Yelp
Random...but not bad. It's like IKEA and Costco had a little baby. German grocery store that feels like you're in IKEA, but Costco style with large boxes of goods. Very reasonably priced, but a lot of non-branded food. They have a very random area called "surprise" where you can buy shoes, pressure washers, and all sorts of random goods.

Yelp
I've shopped in the Goose Creek location and was so bummed to leave the area because I won't have my nightly Lidl run...then bam! Right there snug in front of the high school it sits! So of course I go in to check it out and it was identical to the GC location! It has all of my favorites...Chocolate Chip Cookies and their Take Home and Bake Pizzas!! I've written a similar review for the GC location but I will let y'all know here in the Greenville area that has not shopped here yet...Indulge in those Cookies and Pizza! They are amazing and one pizza will fill a family of 4 up!! One thing to note is if you want to get produce and more bakery selections, don't go looking close to the end of the night. It's pretty much all picked over! I look at as less food waste :) Great selection of cheese, beer, and wine! Great prices on everyday food items and love the aisle of misc. clothes, kitchen supplies and more! If you're looking for name brand that's limited but the quality is good. Lidl does not use plastic bags unless you purchase but they offer boxes all around the store for free you can use as an alternative. I bought my own reusable bags for $.99 each, they're great quality and hold a lot. Friendly customer service and the prices are just right!

Yelp
This was a last minute decision to go , wish I had thought about it more . Thursday afternoon at 4 was a bad idea . The store is gorgeous and very clean. I can't comment on the Bakery as people were 3 deep and not moving although it appeared to be self serve so that was odd . I continued you on , nice fruits at good prices, descent looking veggies at fair prices. I was turned off by the meats as some appeared brown . I did find some great deals on "off brand" allergy meds and Tylenol. The soda was really high , no deal there . Toothbrushes seem to be a good deal . Was impressed they had some organic items and different kinds of flour and baking items . I would only go back if I was near and it wasn't crowded . I am going to download the app and see what "deals" are offered . Good and Bad here guess it depends on your needs . Take your own bags or pay .10 each .
google avatar

Carolyn K.

Yelp
I'm only giving a 3 star and that's for the fresh bread. They even have a slicer so you can slice your bread the size you want. As for as prices it's the same as Aldi stores. I just didn't care for it. Now if I'm in the area I would stop for bread but just go and shop no. The meat looked on the brown side. Which was a major turn off on me buying any. My advice is to go see for yourselves. You may love it but not me. Sorry

Yelp
Overcrowded for the size of the grocery store Prices weren't as cheap as they advertised. Store lacked organization. Couldn't decipher what price was what based on the location of the labels. Seasonal and hardware items were stocked near the frozen foods???? Another grocery store trying to be green with the lack of bags to pack your purchases. Highly inconvenient. I wouldn't recommend this store to anyone other than the weekly Aldi shoppers

Yelp
Todays Grand Opening here was very unprofessional and the store was Chaos. Wait a few weeks and then hopefully you can enjoy your visit. Today was a one star day! I know the stores in Europe, and that is why I drove 100 miles each way to go to this Grand Opening. I like grand openings and find them exciting, so I didnt want to miss it. I realize I take a chance doing this and some are worth it and some are not. Unfortunately this wasnt worth it. There were many problems here. First off...they usually have greeters that smile and greet they crowd, NOT HERE. The help wore blue or yellow shirts and huddled together as if they were afraid. Obviously they are unprepared and untrained. In the store if you ask a question they seldom had a clue and you got the deer in the headlights look. Once a gal went and got a Supervisor. I said I made a list of the sale items online, why are the store prices different. I named the 2 items. He said oh the signs havent come in. So that means you just leave them marked wrong? The prices will ring up right he said.. Well they did not. Reason was their flyers mix the different sale day prices on the same price and jump back and forth. So he hands me a flyer, the one I saw online, and halfway through the page are sale items that start MON. Its confusing. Id rather they make separate flyers! But they list all the sale stuff for different time periods in the same flyer and on the SAME PAGE. If you read the fine print you can avoid it but when you see YOUR dates at the top of the page you shouldnt have to keep looking on each item. BE CAREFUL with this. They help was fooled too! There were items that were not priced at all. Not a lot but some I saw. When I see that I just dont bother with them. Why ask? A day like today? Good luck! A price of $8.99 was over a stack of 24 bottle cases of a wheat beer Ive never heard of. Hmmm Some were taking a chance on it at that price. Later I find out ooooops, that is a six pack price. Someone at check out noticed and said NO--take it off and leave it, on that one! Pity all those that did not notice and went home paying 4 times that. In addition to no greeters that actually were greeting customers, they had little crowd control. Some people got there really early and waited in a long line to get in, while others are just sneaking in and not a single one of the Yellow or Blue shirts cared. People in line were angry yet were trying to hold back our anger. One after another people get out of a car and walk right in ignoring hundreds in line and they help lets each and every one do it as they were totally useless and standing there like bumps on logs. Most grand openings have free samples OUTSIDE-something to give to people as they wait. No here they had some inside the store, which many couldnt even see as the crowd was so thick. Why that table was not outside is amazing! A competitor always does that at grand openings. They had a table where you can go up, and download their app. If you do and show them you have downloaded it you got a canvas bag. Well it didnt come up on a search. All the stuff that came up on my google play search was for other countries OR Lidl employees. So...forget that! Inside the store I always look for place of origin of what I eat. SO MANY of these just say distributed by Lidl, with NO CLUE as to where this comes from. I dont like this at all, and I often just leave it. Trader Joes is now doing this too. So guess they too think customers dont need to know where their food is coming from Beware on that one if you care! The croissants and donuts are average at best. The baguettes were very good. Their European stores I have been to have a more sanitary way of bagging your items without touching. Here its more open air. Eeek. Why not bring the European way over? Overall this store is like an ALDI but larger. Many similar features. It offers more selection. Like ALDI its a mismatch of things. Mens shoes just a few yards from chicken and ice cream. Go figure! Guess it works. There should have been more people from Headquarters or Germany here. I think they said there were 2 from Germany. A competitor Sprouts used to send out a team of like 15 to 20 to a new store to make sure it opened right. 2 people is nowhere near enough for a store this size. They had loads of professional picture taking going on. That was what they felt was important. The rest of it didnt seem to matter. I spent over $171.00 I regret those purchases that I thought and they thought were effective today. Im solidly against these mixed up multi date flyers! They do take visa and mastercard but no AMEX. Im sure everyone will find something they like but the chaos today wasnt worth it but if you dont go you might have kicked yourself for not going. So I can just kick myself for going. I was hoping for much better. The brand was certainly tarnished today.

Yelp
Don't expect to be coddled like you would be in a normal grocery store. Prices are great, offerings at great, and this is a must stop every time we come to the area. Bring your own bag and be prepared to bag your purchased items up. They have specials and different neat sales going on weekly and on different days. This is a great place to check out online and plan before going so you know what is happening there that day!
google avatar

Sarah N.

Yelp
Love this grocery store! I'm always picky about my fruits & veggies. They get fresh daily which I feel makes a huge difference taste wise and lasting also. Great baked goods, meats and cheese along with a weekly selection of various home goods!

Yelp
I have tried Lidl on Wade Hampton numerous times and each time I ask myself why I even go there! I sometimes shop the weekly special buys for sewing items, tools, tech items, etc. I have found the food items to be overly priced. Recently avocados were priced at $1.19 each and Aldi had them for $0.79. That's a big difference! Also, the layout of the store is confusing and whenever I ask for help the person is often clueless! I have a concern with the bakery area because today there was not any tissue paper to pick up the items. Who knows who else wanted a donut or croissant and then changed their mind after touching it without the paper. It's a sanitation issue! I was also in line when the announcer came on the intercom saying that station #1 was closing. The cashier looked at me and told me the line was closed even though I had been standing in line. Then the announcer came over the intercom saying that station #9 was opening so I went there only to wait with another customer wondering if anyone was ever coming to check us out. Cleanliness has sometimes been an issue, especially in the produce department which is the first area seen when one walks into the store. I lived abroad and shopped both Lidl and Aldi and I was looking forward to Lidl coming to Greenville, but I'll return to Aldi. Their stores are cleaner, customer service is much better, and prices are much better.
google avatar

Erock F.

Yelp
The produce is pretty good for the most part. The bakery is excellent. Most of the dairy products are on point, fresh and prices can't be beat. Sometimes missing on selection, but I love saving money then hitting some place else for a couple specialty items. I do despise the check out process: not usually enough lanes open, the bagging and conveyor process...insane...wrangling groceries, and payment, and kids...I'll just have to make sure I'm medicated next time! LOL
google avatar

Janice Z.

Yelp
The LIDL in Eatontown NJ is ALWAYS out of the advertised weekend items and most times the weekly ones too. Overflowing garbage, long checkout lines, poor quality produce and unavailable specials make me wonder why I keep giving Lidl another chance.I never make Lidl a special trip but always stop in on my way home from church or a meeting when I'm in the area. I've been disappointed every time. I think I'll give up.
google avatar

Harry A.

Yelp
Best prices in Greenville excellent store cheapest anywhere unbeatable prices and not scratch and dent...all brands and imports very cool place. Everyone else might hav3 to adjust their pricing could believe it...God Bless

Alan H.

Yelp
Very dissappointing. If price is all you,re interested in, this is thep lace for you. They have no fresh slice deli, no fresh seafood, no on site butcher. Everything is pre-packaged. I've never seen a supermarket bakery where you can't get a fresh Italian bread. The cold cuts are a brand I never heard of. In fact, they have very little name bramd products. Nearly everything is their own non-brand. The produce is pretty much the only safe bet. The Best Markets they replaced were far superior in evey way. Another inducement for prople to leave Long Island. Let's hope Meat Farms and Shoprite don't leave us.
google avatar

kate g.

Yelp
I thought I would try the other lidl but same thing!! a ton of people in line and not only is there only two lanes open, but the third one that was open , the lady turned her green light to red and told me to go to another line cuz she was closing!!!! I just don't get it ! I see several associates thru out the store. To me , making people not wait is the best thing!! so this store is great- if u have time to stand in line

Yelp
I was disappointed with this place. There are mixed reviews for this place so I decided to check this place out. The produce is offered at fairly low price but it got difficult for me to select good produce. The bakery was okay but we there are grocery stores that offer better bakery products. Frankly I was lost with the way the store was organized. I dont think I would be going to this place anytime soon.

Yelp
I came for the grand opening on the 15th. As expected, a lot of people have showed up. Unfortunately, Lidl either didn't prepare for this, or the store is disastrously mismanaged. The items are better prices than some other stores, but still shadow in comparison to Aldi's prices. They have some name brand items mixed in with their version of goods, but I'm not impressed at their prices by far. Customer service is where this store is REALLY lacking. I've been standing in the same checkout line with 6-8 customers in front of me for the last 25 minutes, and am continuing to wait while writing this review, yet haven't moved. Meanwhile, the managers have been huddled up in the front corner of the store laughing and chatting on their cell phones the ENTIRE time. Complete and utter disregard for customers, and poorly managed overall. The only good thing about this store seems to be the pristine location. Two thumbs down, I'm sticking with Aldis.

Yelp
I have been here a few times now. The grand opening was truly an incredible experience. Despite the fact that the place was completely packed, there were almost no people standing in line at the check outs. This place is the very portrait of efficiency. Sure, there are still a lot of people coming here, but they have clearly figured out how to handle the crowd.

Yelp
Good food and great prices however their lack of a customer service desk to deal with returns, issues or questions about the receipt can really bog down the lines when only one register is open. Also their failure to wait on the next guest in line when they open an additional register is an issue for me. After waiting a good ten minutes for people with problems , they opened an additional register that the 4 people at the end of my live jumped into. I had an appointment and couldn't wait an additional 15-20 minutes and had to leave without my food. Will definitely rethink shopping where there is no customer service area.

Yelp
We walked in expecting options and instead our intelligence was insulted. From the prices on chicken (almost double the price of Aldi's) to the lack of options for pre-made foods. For a market placed in front of a huge high school one would think that they would have food options for those kids. Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Not a sandwich or a salad not even cut fruit?! Now if you want to buy little trinkets and non-food items they have some great options. But why would I spend 1.49 for a can of corn when I can get 2 for that price elsewhere. Went into the rest room and was disappointed again. Only one working stall and I couldn't even get the paper out. So all in all not a great experience and I will not be returning.

Yelp
I've been here several times already and I love this grocery store! I've saved a lot of money shopping for groceries here. Great meat and produce sections and the bakery area is fantastic! Not to mention, the wine section has a lot of variety at great prices. The store is always kept clean. It's easy to find what you're looking for and other things you never thought you needed. There is an area of the store that's filled with the most random things like home goods and clothing but at "hard to refuse" prices so it's very possible to walk out with eggs, milk, and a tool set.

Yelp
I like this place enough to go back. Great deals here. I don't like the smell in the store very much. Lol might be weird, but it smells odd to me. Besides smelling weird this place is cool.

Yelp
I would give 5 stars if the bagging process was different. I about had an anxiety attack while checking out. There were a few other people behind me in line and having to bag your own groceries, pay and get out of the way of others is very unsettling! Products and prices are great. I love their selection of organic produce and prices on those are wonderful.

Yelp
Love the Wade Hampton store, prices, and the ever changing items of non food. I don't like that there are about 14 registers to check out at and I have yet to see more than 3 open, often times 1 open register with 7-10 people waiting in line. I can get in, shop quick, but then waste a lot of time in line. Sure hope they can start using the employees to man the registers. I've heard that all employees are cross trained for all jobs so lets get those lines moving. Ed

Yelp
This is my go to grocery store now. I love the rosemary Olive Oil Bread. But I am extremely please with the service, the cleanliness, and the food that I have picked up in Lidl. And the prices and quality of food is excellent. I highly recommend shopping at Lidl and I have found that all the stores I have been in the area are the same level of excellence.

Yelp
I looked forward to Lidl coming to Greenville because I had read great things about it online, but this store is just dreadful. I felt like I had gotten trapped in the Ikea clearance section--just not worth the angst to save a little money on a mango or can of beans. Costco and Trader Joe's are infinitely better in terms of product and atmosphere.

Yelp
I was neither wowed nor disappointed. It is an interesting store concept catering more to people who like surprise finds. There always seems to be a deal in play, but you may not know what it is until you visit the store. For example, I got free roses after my purchase. The store is actually loaded towards surprise finds. Shoes? Yup. Their "staple" items are typically house items and brands. Many are unique to Lidl (btw rhymes with needle). I found some sugar free dried mangos that are quite good. The bakery section was quite impressive. The loaf of bread I took home was awesome and I would go back just for that. The downside is that the things I typically need from a grocery store may not be at Lidl. So, I will stick with my Ingles and Publix shopping and perhaps visit Lidl again when I'm in the mood for a little impulse shopping. But, it will not become a regular place for me. Just a fun place!
