This is the most unprofessional experience I’ve ever had from an apartment leasing office. Our very first appointment with them was at 12:30pm on a given Saturday. When we got there (on time), they were out for lunch. No communication with a potential customer, I guess we just had to wait - which we couldn’t. We had other viewings to do that day. So guess what? We rescheduled for the following week at a later time so we won’t run into their lunch time. To our surprise, our 1:30pm appointment was met with the same lack of courtesy. Not only were there no communication stating the time had to be pushed back because once again they were out for lunch, but in seeing one of the reps at 1:55pm it was met with no courtesy. I asked her, “did our time get pushed back”? She said “No”, with the most lack of concern and or care in the world that they were late and people may have things to do. For this reason, there is no care to even interact with this high level of unprofessionalism. If this is the behavior from the viewing stage, we don’t care to know the living stage. To all those who live there and love it, I am happy they have had a different experience because NO ONE should go through this high level of unprofessionalism. I am only selecting a star because I have to in order to write a review. I wish there was a no star option because they don’t deserve it. Two weeks in a row is just despicable.

I have lived in several apartment communities, but the experience here has truly stood out. Thanks to the incredible management team, especially Alvita Rhodes and Julee Chavez. These two ladies are absolutely amazing at what they do! They are not only professional but also genuinely kind and understanding. Every time I have had a question or need help, they respond very quickly and thoroughly to make sure things are taken care of. Whether it be with my fast move in process, resolving maintenance issues, or answering my lease questions, they handle it all with efficiency and a smile. You can tell they really care about us residents and take pride in their work. Huge shoutout to them for making this place feel like home. If you are looking for an apartment with top-notch management, you are in the right place!

I have had a wonderful experience living at The Lido Apartments! The staff here truly goes above and beyond. Jennifer is always so helpful, kind, and professional—she makes every interaction a pleasure. Anytime I have a question or need assistance, she’s there with a smile, ready to help. A huge thank you as well to the Regional Manager, Markeith, for always resolving my concerns in a timely and efficient manner. His professionalism and dedication to resident satisfaction do not go unnoticed! The Lido Apartments is a great place to call home, thanks to the amazing team that keeps everything running smoothly. Highly recommend!

Google
I have resided at the Lido gated community condos for 5 years now and am satisfied with the upkeep of the place. Whenever I need to put in a work order via the office, to have something repaired I always try to work with Julee because of her efficiency and her pleasant demeanor. She always follows up to make sure my requests were completed. Julee has been a huge assist in helping me with other matters when needed. The other office staff offer great customer service and smiles but Julee is a master at getting things done with her kind personality and professional attitude. She's awesome.

I absolutely love my apartment! From the moment I moved in, it has felt like home. The space is well-designed, comfortable, and meets all my needs perfectly. The management is responsive and friendly, Jennifer thank you for always making sure my work orders get done in a timely manner.

Been living here almost two years the new team member mr eddy moreno is The best maintenance man I’ve seen since I’ve been here. he’s polite, quick and efficient and respectable. I wish they hired more maintenance team like him. He’s been an asset to the complex for sure. fixed my closet immediately and replaced my air filters. The Ladies in the office are also very kind.

Well first off my husband and I have lived at Lido for a little over 4 years now, and we started in a one bedroom to now a two bedroom 2 bath. We haven't worked with Julee Chavez for too long but its been about the duration of living at our second unit and boy let me tell you this woman is heaven sent! She has made things so simple for us in times of true need. My husband and I only go to her for everything because she's the most kindness most understanding and goes above and beyond for us. Julee has been in our corner through our ups and downs we hope to stay here for a very long time. I'm happy where I live we have a playground for the kids, and if you need anything Ask for Julee you most definitely will be satisfied every time!!! THANK YOU JULEE! We owe you truly. :)

Absolutely terrible. Anyone who's thinking of residing here, PLEASE DON'T. They have terrible/rude management that won't fix anything but will constantly tell you to pay for random commodities that aren't addressed prior to your move in. They also have terrible/rude maintenance who don't ever know how to do their job. Only one guy actually knew what he was doing but was exhausted because management kept calling him for everything. They charge thousands of dollars only to show a model of the apartment you're gonna get only to lie about certain aspects of it. The washers were broken, the sink draining system was broken, our dishwasher was broken, the A/C unit was broken and was causing a leakage due to faulty assembly, bugs everywhere, dusty and dirty upon the move in, sticky doors, broken window screen, ceiling leak during the rain, and much more. PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE!

Damien C.

Yelp
Absolutely worst apartment complex in San Bernardino. The staff is trash rude don't tell you the right information they want to take your application money their policies about the application have never heard before. I am telling you stay away from these people and apartment complex.

Yelp
I have lived here for over 8 months. I I have never gotten a pool key nor the gym key. They kept making excuses of why it's taking so long to fix the key cards. I think it's so unfair that I've been having to pay for amenities that I cannot use. it's been eight months. LITERALLY. I pay way too much money to not be able to use these wonderful amenities. Very disappointing.

Jose S.

Yelp
I don't really recommend people living here, I've been here for almost a year and I'm planning to move out already, they keep cutting water out for hours, you can keep calling the office and they never going to answer back. Everything is dirty, gym was closed for like 3 months and they were charging for it. All kind of pests around here and the pool area have too much to say I really feel bad because is a nice place to live but all those errors are making look so bad, maybe changing the management would make a little difference on it, but I really don't recommend people moving here.

Yelp
ZERO STARS! Ashley and the rest of the front office are so rude and unaccommodating. They're dismisive and unreasonable, i can't imagine hating my job so much that I try to make everything for the residents so difficult, they have no class or respect for anyone. This company is awful they discriminate against people with disabilities. How does a complex that houses thousands of people only have 6 handicap parking spots? Do they even have enough parking spots for the number of ADA units they have? They have maybe 3 guest parking spots, and bost about the reasoning being so their residents have somewhere to park. Yet don't even give all their residents a designated parking spot. My aunt has lived her for years. She is handicap and legally blind. So because she can't drive due to her disability, she doesn't deserve to be treated like every other resident paying rent and can not have a parking spot close to her residence. She has people coming and going to help care for her during the day. Where are we supposed to park to care for her when they refuse to give her the 1 parking spot she should be entitled to like every other resident. All handicap spots are ALWAYS full. My aunt had to go to the emergency room one night, when I brought her home later that night I drove around for 2.5 hours looking for a spot to park then had to push her in her wheelchair from the absolute furthest parking spot possible down a hill while carrying all her things in the dark at 4 in the morning. I'm not sure if you've seen the sketchy people out at that hour, but it doesn't make me feel very safe. We asked about getting a parking pass due to her being sick and needing care daily so our family could take turns coming to check in on her, Ashley refused and denied the request. She then threatened to report that she was violating her lease because we asked for even just a temporary 6 week pass while we were here to care for her. Nowhere did we say we were living with her or staying with her, just that we were here (San Bernadino) from up north helping with the check-ins, cooking, cleaning, and running errands for her. Ashley also refused to give us the information for the owner of the property, she just smirked and told us to look it up google. Are we supposed to park in some random neighborhood 3 miles away and Uber here just to take care of our family. The people who designed this place had poor planning, and the company who owns it just lets the chaos continue. The few handicap spots that are available are hogged up by residents who swap cars from their 1 designated parking spot to save the spot for when they come back. It's not like you can park on the street. It's like they expect people to never have lives where they need guests or family to visit for any reason. Is this place supposed to feel like home or a prison? I shouldn't have to add myself to her lease to an apartment I live and work 8 hours away from just to ensure someone can take care of her and park without fear of being towed. And the maintenance is lacking, this place is full of black mold and falling apart. It took 3 months to fix a leaking faucet. The ceiling was dripping and caving in ON THE BOTTOM FLOOR. Again, it took months to fix. This place is a health violation and discrimination lawsuit waiting to happen. If anyone else is experiencing similar issues, please let me know so I can forward your issues to my attorney. I would like to respond to the "business manager," and it seems the only way to do so and get a response is where the public can see online. My mom, aunts, and cousins have been in and out of the office all week trying to get any type of assistance or response. After days of trying to catch anyone with any sense of what they're doing in the office, the response they received was a denial. Also, I'm not sure what assistance you would be able to give. As a person with 20/20 vision, common sense, and the ability to LOOK and READ SIGNS, I'm completely capable of seeing the lack of parking. As I've said, i drove up and down every inch of that place for 2.5 hours looking, i definitely didn't miss an available spot. I will gladly walk around the complex with you at 6pm any day so you can show me the adequate parking available to guests and ADA that you think I may be missing. Please let me know when you're available for that.

Yelp
Do not recommend to live here. Lived here for 5years they took forever to repair anything. I would call the office and they would be like there is no record. So I had to start memorizing the reps names to follow up on work orders. Management has horrible management skills. Didn't return my deposit. No wonder everyone was moving out. Now they have a sign for first month rent free. Don't fall for it. Horrible horrible. Change your management maybe you will have better retention.

Eric A.

Yelp
Staff Especially Elvita & Maria are the best. They make you feel welcome and no matter how busy greet you with a smile. Moving in soon and the process was flawless and stress free. Thank you Lido at Shandin Hills.

Yelp
This place is out of control. They beg for rent but can't even let the tenants know about when and why they are turning the water off... who does that!!!??? People have lives and things to do where they need running water everyday and not having to have to wake up to not even flush the toilets... This is insane! It takes almost three months to get anything fixed around here after calling and begging calling and begging. Paint peeling off the cabinets bathroom tub falling apart the vents the dust... etc They can demand that rent but won't come fix what needs to be fixed when needed. The managers need to do better when communicating with people and maybe the reviews would be better. Just be honest about things instead of giving people's hopes up.

Rebecca N.

Yelp
I have been trying to get in contact with the office for week now after sending in my information to see if I can get an application I still even apply and they do not return my call. I work in rancho and I miss there hours of them being in the office. The front desk said she'd call. I emailed and no response it's insane tbh

Eric M.

Yelp
Work orders! Rat infested place! Homeless walking around all the time! They stay in the Landry mat! Security only takes care of the condo side! Worst management ever! Also they never I mean NEVER answer the phone! Don't waste your time or money! If I can I'll give this a -5 starts.

Larry ..

Yelp
All set up to move in. It would take 2 and a half weeks for them to clean up a unit I was looking for. Okay I could deal with that. About a week before I was allowed to move in, one of the furniture deliveries showed up. I was texted about it and went to the property to see if it was there. No. No furniture, just trash. A bunch of trash at my new front door and along the walkway from the parking lot. Saw a picture from UPS showing the package laid in with the trash. I was approved to move in. That is NOT going to happen. Management never apologized.

Miguel M.

Yelp
Not surprised on the reviews stay away don't even think about coming here staff is not trained well office mangers are lazy don't move here

Yelp
I been living here for two years and I have no issues property is clean and people are friendly

Jay G.

Yelp
WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. PLEASE READ IF CONSIDERING MOVING IN. These people are crooks. Let me start with our move in date. We moved in and did a walk through the day of our move in due to our work schedule. This apartment had shelves falling off the wall. It was disgusting and dirty inside and the washer had built up hair and dirt on the inside of the drum. The water heater did not work and the dishwasher was falling apart. The sinks on both bathrooms had dirt, grim and toothpaste caked on all around. It had termite poop all around the window seals with water damage. Windows didn't close all the way and whenever it would rain I came home having to mop and clean. They had holes in dry wall in multiple rooms with moldy insulation that had gotten wet popping out. We were constantly getting sick and the did a mold test in the apartment. Sure enough mold started to grow on our test in every room. We had to put so much into this apartment ourselves as far as cleaning. They had a new person doing our walk through with us and I'm surprised she could even spell her name, she didn't mark nearly half of what was wrong with the apartment to begin with. Mind you they had 3 months to clean and prepare this apartment for us and did absolutely nothing. They only have one maintenance guy in the apartment so don't plane on anything getting fixed in a timely manner. We had power loss due to them wiring outlets wrong in HALF of the apartment and it took 3 months for someone to come fix it. The breaker box in the apartment was arching and could have easily started a fire but apparently it wasn't a concern for them. We had holes left in dry wall that weren't ever patched. After power loss we knew we were not going to renew our lease. Final walk through the with Ashely and she was the rudest "manager" and was talking as if we were already not getting any of our deposit back and she hadn't even seen the apartment. She was pointing out problems with the apartment that had been an issue and never got fixed and of course we were blamed for it. There is a reason ASHLEY works in San Bernardino her a** attitude and extremely poor people skills were unbelievable. We left that apartment in such better Condition then we got it and out of our $1000 dollar deposit we got less then 200. These people are absolute crooks so DON'T plan on getting much of your deposit back. The only reason someone should choose to live here is if they are going to be homeless. It's at least a roof over your head but nothing more than that. The prices that they charge and what they charged us with things for example painting the cabinets which were brand new and had no scuffs or paint damage. Well you guessed it we got charged. Charges for reference below. 2 bed 2 bath cleaning-$260 Full paint of the apartment-$350 Full paint cabinets-$120 Parking stickers-$25 each sticker

Yelp
2/8/23 7:40 am Had my friend stay the night last night,,she parked in the visitor parking ,,NOT PAST THE 24 HR RULE. AND THE DUMB TOWERS TOWED HER DAMN CAR. Lido, do better with this. I've been noticing that your incompetent towers have been taking cars left and right,,morning AND late at night. Office doesn't open until 9 am. Incredibly ridiculous. Lido I will most definitely not be renewing my lease due to multiple issues living here near the past year. (They also have a nasty habit of turning off your water without warning or letting you know in advance!!) Don't let the pictures online fool you. You also won't be getting a washer&dryer if you have a 1bedroom,,and not guaranteed fora 2 bedroom. It mainly goes for the condos. The gates are always broken,,either wide open or the key pad never working. I regret moving here.

Salina M.

Yelp
I recently moved in to the Lido apartments I love the safe environment controlled gates. Mailboxes contained to a controlled area as well. Staff is super friendly. I ran into some issues overflow of mail from previous residents the ladies in the office addressed it right away helped me label my mailbox so I only receive my mail. I had an issue with parking some confusion and miscommunication on where I can park my car got towed although I was upset Jennifer white the apartment manager stepped in right away got involved heard me out listening to my concerns and comments she went out of her way to help me get my car back due to the miscommunication. Although the tow yard couldn't take care of the total issue she still request I send her a email so she can help me with the balance. She spoke to me with respect at the end of the day she was willing to ensure my issue was addressed professionally and in a timely manner with myself the resident being a priority an ensuring I was taken care of. Overall I absolutely love how she handled the situation. And how she is willing to go above and beyond to ensure the residents are satisfied with the community and how they manage as a team. I have already referred others to move to this location due to the management, staff, location being maintained and the safety.

Millie B.

Yelp
I have attempting to contact the property manager since 3/5/24. I was told by the, I'm assuming, Leasing Agent that I would receive an email back from her. I have gotten nothing. They sold my information to Debt Collections. Did not attempt to contact me, and have done absolutely nothing is helping me understand what is going on. My deposit was $875 and I have my lease to prove this and they are saying it was only $500. They are attempting to charge me past my lease termination, which is illegal. This is ridiculous. And even while living there, it was a nightmare. They constantly shut off the water for days without and notice, no phone call, no text, no email, no paper to the door and no mailed letter to explain. My friend's car was towed wrongfully and the place at the time they used and for of it, and the "team" there hardly ever answers the phones and when they do they always had a attitude problem. Get it together. Email me, as I have left my email information with your leasing consultant. It has been too long. Thank you.

Yelp
We lived at Lido for 13 years and always had wonderful service, staff is great! We received most of our security deposit. We were very sad when we had to leave! I would highly recommend renting or buying from Lido!

Yelp
Happy to finally be out of this roach infested apartments. I started getting roaches , and I keep a clean unit, everyday my day more and more, the apartments never sent in a pest control for me even tho I kept requesting one. I had to do my own pest control, but the roaches kept coming , even my neighbors where complaining. The apartments are so quick to put a notice on your door when they see something they don't like, and they tell you to fix is asap. But yet they don't fix their mistakes. My washer and dryer where broken for 2 years, they did not work properly, and they said cause of Covid they couldn't fix it, I told them it was broken since before Covid, as well as my stove would turn on by itself and they never replaced it, fire hazard waiting to happen , ohh and let's not forget the luxury of getting your car towed if you park on the wrong spot or don't have a sticker, or even with a sticker they tow you . Give your money to another place .

Alexandra R.

Yelp
4 years on the property well maintained and clean. The manager Jennifer has been great. Affordable living

Yelp
0 stars is more like it !!!!!!!!! If you want your car towed within 30 minutes this is the place to go , came here to pick up an item from my mom who's a resident and soon as I left looked out and my car was gone. Stranded with a 9 month old in the heat because I was parked in the visitors parking area . 20 saved spaces

Jamin M.

Yelp
They are very good at reminding you to pay your rent and over charging you for it too. But they won't fix any damages in your apartment that are their responsibility to fix. I have two leaks in my children's room. All they said was that I would have to wait for the rain to stop to get it fixed. two days with no rain and they still didn't come fix it. Now it's raining again and these leaks are getting out of control.

Giovanny M.

Yelp
This has been one of the worst places to live and I've only been living here for 1 1/2 years. I can't imagine people who have lived here for 5+ years. There's always kids running around and leaving stuff wherever they want. One time a kid was running around with other and he decided it'd be a good idea to kick my brothers car for no reason not knowing he was in his car. The "gym" is just sorry. It's so small and half the machines there don't even work or are just really old. There isn't even 2 of the same weights sometimes. Inside the actual apartment water was leaking from the upstairs into our apartment and it got some stuff wet. Nothing has been done about the leak, the leak stains are even there still. The washers and dryers are from like 1926 or something. I've dried clothes for 1 1/2 hours before and it still wasn't dry in the highest temperature. The maintenance does nothing it seems like they just drive around in their little golf carts half the day. There is so much more but I don't even have time to cover everything.

Yelp
I am Mrs.Grant and I moved into the Lido two years ago. I like that the grounds are always kept up The office staff is polite and I always get great customer service from Krityonna whenever I call in .

Yelp
Wow didn't realize the reviews for this place was so Bad! Wish i knew that before we moved in!! It's been 4 day in the middle of summer and our AC is out usually Lido is great with getting stuff done but the rep i talked to on the phone gave the worse service ever!!! I quote "Having the ac is a luxury" , "It can't be 80 degrees in your apartment it's not even 80 degrees outside", "By California law the apartment complex doesn't have to supply a AC" (Which i looked up yes they don't have to put AC in t but if it breaks and it's not the residents fault they have to fix it) WOW!!! She told me all of these things after i explained i have a 5 month old who can not stay in my apartment because it's too hot she was argumentative, talked to my as if i didn't know How to keep my apartment cool to make it worse we live upstairs she must not Understand heat travels up and it is 83 degrees in my apartment so long story short my husband called the office again ( this had to have been the 20th phone call because they never answer the phone) with my 5month old screaming and they finally got someone over to take a look at it currently waiting for a vendor to come out to get fixed!!!!
google avatar

Anony A.

Yelp
Don't live here. It's ghetto, loud, dirty, and old. The office ladies are lazy and unprofessional. This place has terrible communication skills. Kids are running and screaming and leaving their crap all over all the time. You can hear everything your neighbors are doing and saying. Only half of the apartments have assigned parking (wtf???) and if you don't have assign then good luck getting parking near your apartment at night.

Yelp
1 star is EVEN TOO GOOD FOR THIS PLACE!!!..To start off I moved in Jan 2021..I lived on the Condo side so this review is about the incompetent owner.I knew that when she said to me.." If you are going to complain this will not work" there was going to be problems and the complex has some responsibility as well I was told that I was the only one who complained about roaches..REALLY??? then the other tenants must have them as roommates and the Roaches need to be charged rent, I have read many of the reviews with tenants saying that roaches is a major problem Does not even take half a brain to know that you don't spray the unit..u spray the whole building..regardless of which side you live on..But" Jamie "and that's not her real name is the about worst owner / landlord that I have ever met in my life..She did her own so called remodeling herself or had her friends do it for her posing as legitimate contractors..The wiring is a fire waiting to happen due to her fixing things herself..the flooring is wood throughout..even in the kitchen.Where water can cause damage..she listed the apt as having AC..(she has since edited the units description) I lived there for 1 yr..NEVER had AC/Heating..yet there is a unit but broken.( NEVER REPLACED NOR REPAIRED WHILE I WAS THERE) her version of heating is a low space heater that she let's you use...Oh let's not forget the 100 dollar charge she threatens you with for any repairs..and labor..which she does all herself...I gave 1200 as a deposit..she charged me over 800 in fake charges I left the place Move In Ready..She even had the nerve to show the place while I was still living there. This is the worse place ever..I headed to court!!!!!.She has admitted to being cheap..and fixing things herself because it..The HOA/ management is full of it too I have complained to them about her/ the unit..they simply said..if it doesn't involve the other units..it's not their problem.

Eric R.

Yelp
Showed 5 minutes early (1:25) to an appointment that was made face to face 2 days prior for (1:30). Other people showed up and didn't know it was closed still that lived at the apartments. Super unprofessional of them as a leasing office, Me and my girlfriend ended up leaving at (1:49). Still nobody showed. Won't be living here that's for sure if nobody can do the job right to move people in then who knows what else is wrong with the place.

Kiki B.

Yelp
The management team has done a great job with the facility renovations! I visit a family member often and have seen improvements over the last couple of years. The complex is beginning to look upscale!

Robert J.

Yelp
I recommend this complex with high reviews!!I have lived here for 2 years and the leasing office is very friendly and responsive. My experience has been very positive. The manager, Jennifer is always professional, and very helpful. There are many improvements and the complex is well kept. It's a great place to live! Rob J.

Yelp
I've been waiting to review this place even before I moved in 4/2015. I hope I don't miss anything, and I'll try to be brief, yet explicit. Don't let the extremely nice main office and surrounding few feet of the property fool you - walk around all the buildings - there is no grass, trash everywhere, unsupervised kids damaging property and leaving belongings everywhere. I set up my electric a month and a half prior to moving in, but management wouldn't let them in to turn in on. After moving 2,400 miles I needed to be moved in the day I arrived, but it took at least four days for management and the electric company to coordinate and fix the issue. At a cost of $100/night for a hotel, it wasn't ideal. I live in a 1 bed/1 bath in the 'condo' side in an upstairs unit. The unit was not painted two-tone like it was supposed to be, so all of the walls are just white primer. Management said it was because there was no power; however, the painters use their own generators. The apartment was not cleaned before I moved in - there was human hair all over the bathroom, dead roaches in the kitchen, and dirty appliances. The apartment was not the proper layout I was told it was going to be, so my furniture did not fit as expected. The fireplace mantle is falling off and the tiles are mostly broken as well. There was a ton of water damage near the front door; obvious repairs beneath the carpeting; and the outside storage closet is totaled (water damage on all the walls and the door). Apartment sites list the property as having ceiling fans... It does, there's one in the apartment in the 'dining' area, none in the bedrooms or living room. Not very helpful. It is also listed as being a gated community. It IS gated, but the gates are only closed from 7pm - 7am and if anyone shows up when they're closed, they just park in front of the gate until a resident needs to get in and opens the gate. The 'gated community' adds no value to the complex. It also lists the complex as having a private security firm. It does, but management has not authorized them to do anything to residents breaking laws or community rules, other than asking them to stop... In at least every building there is at least one group of individuals that does not seem to work. Instead, they stand in front if the stairs of their building and talk loudly, drink, do drugs, let their infants cry, and listen to music playing from their apartment. This happens all day, every day, and nothing is done by management about it. If the complex's security is called, they talk to the group who follows the rules until security is gone, then its party as usual. Using http://sanbernardino.ca.crimeviewcommunity.com/default.aspx, you can see how many incidents the police have responded to at the complex (29 calls from 1/1/16 to 6/16/16). There have been numerous aggravated assaults, burglaries, family assaults, intimidation's, and larcenies. I know there have been more calls that the police never made it out to.... I've had to call on one of my neighbors numerous times because he abuses his pre-teen son, and has extremely loud parties often. What else? You have to pay $25 to have an access card to get into the mail room, otherwise you can use the complexes on Friday only. There is no business center at the complex, as listed on apartment websites. There is some assigned parking, but there will be someone parked in your spot or blocking you in/out of your spot, and you have to call a tow to have them removed. And trying to find open visitor parking is almost non-existent. There are not stainless steel appliances in the units, only in the model they show you to make you think that's what you'll be getting. The dishwasher leaves a white chalky film on your dishes, and is near impossible to removed once it's baked on. Yes, I even hate the kitchen sink! The faucet is too high and un-movable and the sink is so shallow that when the water is on and hits anything water splashes everywhere. I'm sure I will think of other things and update my review accordingly. I will also try to respond to comments about Lido, that's how much disgust for this complex I have. It has not been a pleasant, safe, quiet living situation to say the least.

Yelp
very bad experience w/ these. No visitor parking, never answer phone, maintenance takes forever.

Yelp
I have lived @ Lido for 8 years. I moved out for a year & moved back in & Jennifer was still here. She is really nice & helpful.Kim the grounds keeper takes really good care of the outside & it looks really nice all the time . Louie has been here a long time & is really good about making sure my work orders are done .

Yelp
I moved in as soon as Covid hit hard so I've been here a little over a year. So far I've had a good experience. The staff are pretty friendly. Lauren V. from the office is amazing. She's very patient and always willing to help answer any questions, which was really great for me since I moved in during Covid a little bit before the lockdown, so now that things are opening up again I have plenty and had many when I first moved in and she was quick to get back to me. They have a new parking system that can be a little annoying but honestly it was worse before in my opinion since you were lucky if you got a spot. The new system is more beneficial for the people living here seeing as before that parking was really hard to find for everyone.

Yelp
Lived here for a couple years and it was decent until time to move out. They were completely helpful in scheduling a date for me and my roommate to move out and explained some of the security deposit will be used for basic repairs. Fast forward a couple months, no return of security deposit, so I called the "corporate offices" they referred me to, left four voicemails and did not receive any returned call. Months later I received a bill and recently found out they sent a $55 fee to collections! Just an awful way to treat tenants considering we were never late and kept our place nice. It appears they do this often, AVOID RENTING HERE! If they do the same to your security deposit, please report to the Better Business Bureau...

Yelp
This is literally one of the worst places to live. I don't even know where to begin. We moved in and there was hair everywhere. Seriously looked like pubes all over the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. We had a washer/dryer that we paid extra for that only fit 4 towels and NEVER worked. It made the apartment smell like mildew. We asked multiple times for maintenance repair and they did nothing about it. Once we decided to ask them to remove it they refused to stop the extra $75/month charge for it. They call it a gated a community but the gate is always open and you get people just loitering the complex. Constantly had people smoking, drinking and hanging out in the parking lot. Security would do nothing but walk by on their phones and ask them to stop and of course they didn't. We were woken up at 5am to SBPD letting us know there was a man stabbed and killed only 100feet from our door. I had a woman come to my door at 10pm asking for money, yes panhandling at my doorstep. Kids run around with no supervision, when my fiancé would barbecue little hoodlums would come up and sit on our porch trying to poke their heads into our apartment and when asked if they needed something they would start arguing. CHILDREN. We had one boy come up to the door asking if he could come play video games and we were complete strangers. Management was terrible. Whenever something was brought up they would immediately get defensive instead of fixing the problem. When we moved out we cleaned the apartment for HOURS and they still are trying to charge us. Apartments are required to be painted after each resident moves out, not the residents problem. They are trying to charge us $600 for something they are supposed to do anyway. That was sent to us six months after we moved out and we trying to receive our deposit back. I had to call the management company several times. It is one of the most unprofessional companies I've had to deal with to date. Although you get assigned parking, we had more than one vehicle for our home. The visitor parking is extremely limited and you end up having to park extremely far from your building. And of course the tow company's more than happy to tow anyone. They had a space clearly marked "future resident" that is supposed to be available to park in before and after office hours and they towed so so many people because they said it wasn't properly marked (As if that's our fault). We were on the "condo" side which has slightly different rules than the rest of the complex. However we got written up for having Halloween decorations out the day after Halloween. Although Halloween was a weeknight so there was no time unless we took them down during Halloween. They send them through the mail so we got the notice about a week later. We did take them down the day after Halloween and we were written up TWICE for the same violation. Same date, different times. This place is ridiculous. Although affordable and the office appears relatively presentable, don't do it to yourself. ** update they not only tried to charge us for paint, but said we did not pay the last months rent which I happily showed them the bank statement that said we did along with a formal letter sent to corporate. KNOW YOUR RIGHTS AS A RENTER.

Yelp
Fine neighborhood but poor maintenance. My apt is on second floor and i noticed the first day i moved in that the stairs were little loosened. I was worried about my wife (was a pregnant that time) and asked if they could fix it. They said they put it on a list but then they havent come to fix it for a year. They did probably 6times of water maintenance last 7 month and bathroom water looks like milk. They fixed my front door twice but still not working well.

Yelp
Ive been in town for 2 months visiting a college friend before I move, i was thinking of signing on the lease with him or maybe even getting my own place here with my brother but NO MORE. Ill keep this short I parked in a supposedly OPEN spot and woke up to find my car GONE, i called the police and they said it was towed, i missed 2 days of work and went to get my car back, it was $400 (and no im not rich so thats alot to me) A month later i parked in an actual open spot and wake up to a note on my car, "This is my spot, if u park here again im calling the (expletive) towing on you!" IM DONE WITH LIDOS. If you want your friends or family towed when they visit you then go ahead and live there. YOUVE BEEN WARNED.

Yelp
Been living here for almost 6 years, started out as a very quiet place with security and a good screening of the type of people they let move in. But slowly with time it seems like they just do not care. Management does nothing and allows people to do what they want. People are out being loud at all hours, having parties and i even had someone urinate on my air conditioner, my licence plates were stolen and my car scrathched. Security( hahaha) they do nothing so much for gated community. We will be moving as soon as we can, its a shame to see this place turn into such a horrible living environment. Paying such high rent to be kept up all night by parties and kids that dont give a crap. My advice is just move past this place when looking to rent!

Yelp
This place is not a great place to live. They finally fired the gang member maintenance guy. His son isn't going around the complex stealing or smoking Philly blunts. We lived in this apartment for 3 years and our appliances never got fixed. Our toilet broke and they replaced our toilet with a toilet that is too big. Therefore, we went without a toilet lid for 8 months, they never replaced it. Our car was broken into and three of our neighbors were robbed. Needless to say, they moved. There is always someone smoking weed in the complex ( You can smell it) and gang members are always there. Finally, when we moved, they tried to screw us on our deposit saying we only lived here 1 year instead of 3! BEWARE!!!!!!!!

Yelp
The beautiful entry way is so misleading!!! Lived here for about 8 mos when I started getting roaches. They were everywhere and my daughter was under 1 when we lived here. The roaches never stopped and I began to feel unsafe (greasy forehead prints left by some one peering in windows.) Overall management couldve cared less. I handed them my keys rather than rent on the 1st one month and it ended up costing me over 3 grand to keep derogatory marks off my credit. No one and especially not a small child should be living in those conditions!!

Yelp
I'm actually being kind giving this place one star. It actually deserves about half a star. I've lived there for a little over a year and it was the worst place I have ever lived. I lived in an area where it felt like I was in a zoo. People would have their dogs on the patio to bark at every person that walked by. The noisy neighbors were rude and had no respect for others. Parking was horrendous and security was a joke. Needless to say, I'm so glad I moved out of that place. Save your money and move somewhere you will feel comfortable.

Yelp
Don't even think about visiting your family or friends that live in this apartment complex! They have 3 visiting spots per 6 sections of apartments. How the hell can anyone ever find a open visitor parking?! Then when you go to the office to ask where your'e supposed to park you get handed a map...when they know dam well there is no parking and must get compensated for allowing your car to be towed because they don't care that you can't find a parking and don't go out of their way to work with you at all. Rather will tell you you can park outside the apartment when they also know dam well that the whole street is marked RED and there is no parking permitted on the streets. This place acts like there running a place in Newport Beach when it's dam San Bernardino! I get it that they have had issues with parking before and have made it convenient for the people that live here but come on what about family and friends?! Open up some more spaces and or close visiting hours after 8:00 or 9:00pm instead of letting the tow truck come and tow your car during the day. I walked into visit for 30 min and my car was towed! And to top it off they never answer the phone....

Yelp
At first we were very excited to finally get a bigger space...an apartment here at Lido specifically because we were bringing home a newborn baby so we needed the space of course we were excited. honestly it's not as luxurious is how they mentioned on the phone when you first called to see if there's any units available it's just a simple apartment units, sure the location is decent but so many roaches no matter how many times you call someone to come in and spray no matter how much you clean, not to mention you have to do most of the work inside the unit yourself...it was going well until everything wanted to fall apart, they don't show you the unit you'll be moving into, they give you a sample unit and make it look like the best unit ever, but they give you a unit that's been having problems such as roaches, stuff coming apart, breaking, stained, I have about 2 couples here who are my friends from work and they can say the same. It's nice living here don't get me wrong but it gets frustrating having to deal with everything. My advice, look into something a bit more higher than your price range, it's worth getting a little more expensive unit elsewhere where you don't have to worry about roaches and everything coming apart. Can't wait until we find a house to buy and leave here. It was nice Eunice it lasted I guess. Also, they don't really answer he phone in the office

Yelp
I can honestly say moving into Lido was one of my biggest regrets. We checked it out during the day, grounds are nice, everything quiet. We move in and come to find out its a major hangout for Cal State students. It was like living in a frat house. I would call and ask security to come tell them to quiet down and they did. But then 30 min later parties all night. It was so hellish we broke our lease to get out of there. Run! Do not move in here. I am so happy I moved out and would never want to revisit that place again

Yelp
I been living here for 10 years and the only thing that I am sick of is the water being cut off every month more than two or three times out off the month with no notice most of the time...it's a very big inconvenience for me when I work and can't take a shower and on top of that my mother who's has a disability that needs running water and can't get it.. soo with that being said we moving out because of it.. I'm soo disappointed as of today enough is enough
