Food: The food was subpar, with the best part being the complimentary bread and olive oil. Cups of water are filled from behind the bar counter and have an off-putting taste. The 'famous' Spicy Vodka Pasta had a broken and incredibly soupy sauce. The tiramisu was old. The lady fingers in the tiramisu were a condensed crumbly sponge mess with an off-putting flavour. Service: Javier did an excellent job. Atmosphere: I arrived at 5 pm for happy hour and was met with a relatively desolate restaurant. Things lightened up an hour after once the regulars came in. This is not a place for younger folks. Most of the crowd were middle aged or older.

My hubby and I had dinner at the bar last night. The bartender was so professional, friendly, and accommodating. He’s been there for years. We met some very friendly locals and had super fun conversations with them. The dishes: so fresh, so delicious, and came out perfectly prepared. We had the ravioli as an app. We will crave it for sure. For our main courses we had pasta and sea bass. Both amazing! We had Tiramisu for dessert. Wow! Everything was perfect. We had to meet the chef! We asked if he could come out so we could thank him which he did. He’s been there for years too. The drinks were wonderful too: we had the house wine and Paloma margarita. There was no wait to sit when we arrived. Lastly the prices are less than a lot of fast food restaurants! We were shocked at the bill being so low. Needless to say, we will be back regularly! P.S. the parking is free and easy, unlike downtown Manhattan Beach.

I came to this location for a company holiday lunch and I was presently surprised. The staff were very nice and professional. The food came out timely. I ordered the salmon and it was excellent. They have some very nice art pieces on the wall. It's a really good overall environment with posi vibes. I'll be back! 👍🏽

I recently hosted a Baby Shower for my daughter on the patio at Lido Di Manhattan. The space fit 32 people comfortably with 6 tables. The food was very tasty and the service by Heidi and Carlos was excellent. Would visit this restaurant again for dinner any time I'm in that area.

The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a stylish but unpretentious vibe. You can tell the team has put a lot of effort into keeping the space clean, modern, and welcoming since the show aired.

We reserved the back patio for 43 people and had an amazing time at Lido Di Manhattan. The service was outstanding and the food was amazing! I changed our menu items and number of people numerous times and Lisa was very flexible and understanding of all the changes. The patio was big enough to fit our group, but still gave off a warm, cozy vibe. Our group is from AZ, but if we lived closer, Lido Di Manhattan would definitely be a staple for us. Highly recommend!

Food was not impressive, the cheese plate looked like it came from Costco, the roasted duck was just a breast and was gritty. A step up from Olive Garden but not a big one.

Just watched Kitchen Nightmares and am shocked this place has survived unlike many others from the show that has closed down! Congratulations to the beautiful owner Lisa and her staff! Well done with keeping your restaurant alive! Haven't visited here yet to eat, but leaving a review since I just finished watching the show! Proud of you Lisa!

I want to give a shoutout to the Lido team, particularly Lisa (owner), Carlos, Hailey, Kaley, and Jose who helped create the perfect reception for my engagement party earlier this month! The outside patio was the perfect setting for my party of 37. Lisa communicated well while we were in the process of booking the venue and made sure we have all the information before we signed the contract. Carlos was very gracious with his time to ensure that the set-up is comfortable for all my guests and allowed me to come in early to add decor and backdrop. The team was very accommodating with my vision (from the linen to the menu header to vibe to the champagne welcome drink to the surprise birthday dessert for my fiance) and helped create the vibe I want for my engagement. Hailey, Kaley, and Jose provided amazing service throughout the evening. My guests had a great time and it was so much fun. I really appreciate that they made sure everything flowed smoothly. Decent enough local Italian eatery. Good portions and service. Sitting at the bar before dinner was a disappointment with poor service.

I had this restaurant bookmarked for a while and I'm glad I finally made it in. Its in a shopping center, plenty of parking and nicely decorated inside, with dim lighting. The food was yummy and the service was great. Our waiter was very attentive to us and helpful.

Sunday nights is Salsa night. I enjoy dinner there and Salsa Dancing. Friendly Manager and staff

Haven't been to lido in years. In Manhattan beach is a gem in disguise. My wife made reservation for us. Staff was super nice and tentative. We got seated on our arrival. We ordered risotto which is the best in the area. One pasta and one ravioli plate. She got soup of the day clam chowder which was delicious. The decor is old charm lets modern chic. It wasn't a busy night when we were there it used to be super pack house. Place been more than 30 years of service. Recommend for family gathering date night and corporate events. Parking isn't an issue for private lot.

...This place USED TO BE GOOD when I worked in the area... but I don't think my meatballs were legit. They looked and tasted like frozen. Spaghetti craving satisfied, but really disappointed. The garlic sauce for the bread was VERY GOOD, but the bread was less than adequate, especially for an Italian restaurant. It lacked flavor and didn't seem fresh. The salad was good, but had a few wilted pieces. The dressing was a bit too vinegary as it made us cough.

I simply love this restaurant. Lido Di Manhattan is a restaurant located in a shopping plaza which is amazing since there are numerous parking spots. When you walk into the restaurant, the ambiance is so cozy and romantic. It's a good sized restaurant for anyone looking for a beautiful restaurant for a large party or even a date night. When I came here with my friend, we were pleasantly welcomed by the warm hostess. We sat at the bar and had great conversations with her while she told us the history of the restaurant and everything it has to offer. For food, we ordered the calamari, another dish we shared and a few red wines off the menu. We also ordered the tiramisu which was hands down the best tiramisu I ever had. Each food item was so fresh and you can tell was home made. We will definitely be back to try more items!

I decided to make the trek from Orange County to Manhattan Beach for the day. I admittedly have been watching Kitchen Nightmares and learned that this restaurant has stood the test of time. My server was kind and made an excellent suggestion. I enjoyed my Chicken Sausage Rigatoni and then made room for the Tiramisu. A lovely glass of Syrah and an abundance of solitude in a lightly filled restaurant on an easy Monday night. I had a great time enjoying my meal and look forward to reheating my leftovers for tomorrow's lunch. Thank you

Everything about this place is perfect! Best (real) Italian food in south bay! Carlos is standup and sweet - always lovely to see his face when we walk in.

This place is insane!!! The food had so much flavor, the pasta tasted and felt so fresh. The waiter was on top of it. We had the Calamari, truffle Mac and cheese, gnocchi &steak Ragatoni pasta. Everything was 10/10. We can't wait to dine in again here!! Definitely suggest this restaurant!

The dishes were outstanding. I highly recommend the Heirloom Burrata Caprese and Seafood Combo Linguini. We also had the Manilla Clams Linguine and Italian Sausage Lasagna. They use fresh ingredients and you can tell because they tasted amazing! From the moment we arrived, we received a warm welcome and were attentively looked after by our gracious hostess, who made us feel right at home. The staff's attention to detail was impressive--they even replaced our candle to ensure it was perfectly lit. I almost didn't notice it, as I was admiring the rustic and cozy, coastal-inspired decor. I also appreciated the kids' menu, and my children happily finished their plates, proving they loved the food as much as we did. Their tiramisu is a must-try and the mango sorbet was such a treat. We'll definitely return!

I wanted to take a moment to share my feedback on my experience hosting a baby shower at Lido di Manhattan this weekend. Carlos made sure the patio area was set up to my liking and allowed me to create an ambiance that was to my liking. Everything was wonderful! The food was tasty, well-timed, and beautifully presented. A huge thank you to your staff--especially Carlos, Kaley, and Jose--who were all incredibly attentive and made my guests feel special. My husband and I have been fans of Lido di Manhattan for many years. Recently, we hosted my sister's 50th wedding anniversary party there in the patio. I cannot speak highly enough of the extraordinary service and attention to detail that Lisa and her wonderful staff provided to us. The venue, the atmosphere, the service, and the food were all outstanding. I highly recommend Lido for your next party or family gathering.

The food was okay, not better than that. The service was good. We had reservations and they reserved a table with our name on it, Very good customer service by manager or the owner! The place needs redecorating as it is old and a bit run down. I was sitting in a booth and the light fixture on the wall was very dusty. The patio was full with a wedding reception and they were having fun but very few in the main dining area.

Solid mostly traditional Italian food in a serene atmosphere with character. By-the-glass wines are mostly listed with the grape but not the producer - I haven't seen a menu like that in ages. Good local spot at a reasonable price.

Just had the greatest meal with a Frank Sinatra singer. Very cool event and great food as always. Veal osso buca was the best ever and great sea bass meal for the wife. We look forward to more events like this.

We came here for a graduation party in a private room towards the back. I have to say that this is one of the best parties that I have ever been to at a restaurant with amazing service. I have been here before for another party and it was the same with great service. I have to say wow to the Caesar Salad. I am all about salads and I have to say that this place has one of the best I've ever had. If you like Sword Fish, Lido is spot on. The last time that I had swordfish, it was dry. I have to say that this place had it on point. It was such a great experience and everyone in our party was content and happy with their meal. Delicious dinner ! Ordered the chicken parm, it came with fettuccini Alfredo and bread with garlic oil , I've only been here once , but the prices are reasonable , service great , definitely recommend

Our Hughes Aircraft Retiree Assoc. Octoberfest luncheon was fantastic. The menu prepared for us was incredible. The restaurant bends over backwards to accommodate. Thanks to Lisa, Carlos, and staff and we will be going back in 2025! Joanne

I hosted a 70 person private event brunch at Lido Di Manhattan and everything about my experience was amazing. Starting with planning the event, both Lisa and Carlos were communicative, friendly, and extremely accommodating to all of my requests. Even though it is an Italian restaurant, Lisa was able to provide all of the brunch foods that I requested for my event including egg scrambles, waffles, yogurt bar, pastries, and a mimosa bar! Multiple of my guests shared with me how great the venue was for our Holiday Brunch and more importantly how delicious the food was! Carlos and the staff provided very attentive service and made sure the buffet and drinks were constantly stocked. Heidi helped with the mimosa bar and was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Such a wonderful experience from start to finish and I would definitely host events here in the future!

We've eaten here before. They have both inside and patio dining which is nice during warm weather. We shared a small Caesar which was plenty to share for two people. I had the special halibut and risotto entree and my husband had the eggplant parmigiana with asparagus. They serve bread with a potent garlic herb dressing. These days it's hard to find a restaurant that offers complementary bread. Although the serving has shrunk it was plenty for us. In the past when I've ordered fish it came with a light sauce and I could taste the fish. This time the fish was drenched in a heavy sauce that overpowered the fish. My husband's asparagus was oily and overly seasoned. The eggplant parmigiana was ok but underwhelming. The wine was good and very reasonably priced. I ordered the key lime pie for dessert. It wasn't overly sweet which I prefer. The service as usual was attentive and good. The rating was based on our overall experience in the past.

Okay so I'm going tomorrow cause it's my birthday, but the last time I went there was last week. I went early so the service was excellent from Carlos. It was quite and the atmosphere was excellent sitting next to an original painting. The house wines are great along with a salmon chowder to start. I had some wonderful sea bass for dinner and if you can't see sea bass you never will.

Food was wonderful and flavorful. Workers friendly and always checked in with us to make sure that we were doing alright. The room was a bit too dark but the atmosphere was great and the place is really clean. Found this spot on yelp and only found out after I ate here that this restaurant was featured on tv. Shows that the food alone was great without entering the place knowing it was featured by Gordon Ramsey.

The good: I came here for a private event where the entire restaurant was booked just for my friend. It was cool that you could do that and the service was great. I tried fried mozzarella cheese balls, a deliciously saucy and complex pasta dish with spinach, a chopped salad, a spring roll, a flatbread and some cookies. I also tried their guava juice and lemonade. There is an outdoor patio space that's enclosed with heat lamps. There's plenty of parking because the restaurant is in the same plaza as a grocery store. The bad: It was dark inside during the daytime. The spring roll was too sour. The decor was a bit messy and random. The patio had lots of unused votives outside, plastic garden butterflies, and jars of corks. Inside, there were placards of people's names (customers who frequent the place?). The interesting: The buffet was setup in the front corner for the event but it wasn't great for flow. I'm unsure where else it could've been placed because the restaurant's long and narrow shape limited the flow a bit.

Food is well prepared and always tastes good. Good selection that changes seasonally. Prices are a little bit lower than other high end restaurants in the area. Service is friendly and excellent. This is a regular in our restaurant rotation.

I was surprised to "discover" this place. I know it's been around but just didn't ever have the chance to visit. Service was really good. Very attentive host and wait staff. Water was brought when asked and bread kept coming. They provided recommendations and had a very positive attitude. Food was great. Although I would say the main dishes were what were the highlights of the night. Every dish that was ordered was loved by our entire party. I had the Lido's Famous Vodka with shrimp and that was tremendous. The shrimp were huge! Others had a large variety such as the seafood risotto, gnocchi, fish, seafood pasta... not a single complaint. My only "disappointment " were with most of the appetizers. They were just average at best. The exception were the mussels. They were so good and I don't really like mussels. Everyone was slipping up the bread with the sauce. Restaurant itself is fairly big with some dark decor. Plenty of parking since it's located in a strip mall. Definitely coming back.

Tried this place after watching kitchen nightmares. It seems to be in a new location, but seems like the owner is still the same. Ordered eggplant parmigiana which was ok, but the lamb rack was wonderful. Also ordered a few appetizers, but sadly nothing worth mentioning. They had poorly decorated patio, which added to the experience not being worthwhile. But once again, great lamb rack and also pretty good service.

I'm so glad I came to Lido's Di Manhattan. Ever since watching them on Kitchen Nightmares, me and my boyfriend wanted to try all the new changes. I ordered the Spicy Vodka pasta and it was the best pasta I've ever had. My boyfriend ordered the flatbread pizza and he truly loved it. The server was very sweet, funny, and welcoming. The ambiance was very quiet and peaceful, but beautiful and very well remodeled. We are definitely coming back again soon. Thank you Lido's.

Anyone looking for a party venue for birthdays, showers, etc., please consider Lido Di Manhattan. I am planning to have my mom's 100th birthday party at Lido and they have been so helpful and accommodating with everything - food and wine choices, table arrangements, bar requirements including a mimosa bar, entertainment space, audio/visual needs, table linens, etc. I couldn't have asked for a better spot for our party. Plus their food and wait staff are excellent! And last but not least their prices are very reasonable.

We come here every time we can escape for a date night. I love their food and that they have a full bar and are not a massive chain. Delicious every time.

Great service and great food! Never dissatisfied or disappointed when I come here :) The restaurant is a hidden gem, I actually hope more people don't find out about it, because I don't like waiting in lines But! It is located in a plaza, next to Bristol Farms. Super close to the beach if you wanted to walk off your meal afterwards :) The food! I've had the pasta, lobster tacos, calamari, salads, gnocchi, flat breads, steak... all of it. Not one bad dish. Amazing menu. OH AND THE CREME BRÛLÉE!!! AMAZINGGGG. The service is great! This place was so yummy, we forgot to take pictures! The service was quick and friendly. They have a huge parking lot set up. It's really cute and the ambiance is perfect for date night. We sat on the cozy back patio. The food was yummy. We had the mussels and clams, the spaghetti, and the vodka ala penne. Their bread was also really fresh and fluffy. .. I was sad they do not have garlic bread though.

I hope they had a bad night cause anyone cooking italian food like that should be ashamed. The only thing edible aside from the free bread on our table was the kid's mac and cheese. The duck was overcooked, chewy and stinky for some reason. The chicken piccata had 2 capers and tasted like it was more of an alfredo sauce than a lemon cause there was barely any lemon taste at all. What's worse is that every bite seemed to taste worse than the previous one and that by bite 3 I was too disgusted to eat any more or want to eat anything else. Over an hour later the nasty taste was still lingering on my tongue like an hour later. I don't know what they did to that sauce for the spaghetti and meatballsbut it was so sour no one at the table would eat more than a bite. I ordered the broccolini. The menu said broccolini. The waiter confirmed I wanted the broccolini. He came out with steamed and barely seasoned broccoli florets and it seemed like he hoped I wouldn't know the difference. I pointed out this was not broccolini and he agreed it was not. They took off some of the bill, but the overall meal was not good.

Visited when we were staying down the road at Belmar hotel. We found via Yelp and am so glad we tried this place! The staff was very attentive and friendly. We ordered ravioli and Caesar salad to start and then individually got the chicken with prosciutto and chicken sausage rigatoni. Both were delightful! We felt the portions were perfect to be full with a little leftovers. I felt the price point was right for the quality and amount of food we got - especially after looking at other restaurants in the area on Yelp that were more expensive.

Was gifted a certificate, so I took the fam for Happy Hour. Javier greeted us and was outstanding the entire time we were there. We had never been and didn't know what to expect. Lido is not very big, but homey. We ordered just off the Happy Hour menu which was yummy. The highlights were the meatball skewers, calamari, and especially the mussels. The house red at less than $8 was decent enough to order a second glass. The dinner menu looked really good, and the prices seemed reasonable, so we will be back.

If you want tasty Italian, you have to try this place. First off, the complimentary bread they give you tastes fresh & was warm. It came with a dipping olive oil mixed some spices & herbs which was just divine....I kept wanting to eat more & more bread just cuz I couldn't get enough of this special olive oil. We got the margherita flatbread which was pretty yummy. For main, chicken parm was very nicely done & it came with a side of fettuccine which wasn't the best but decent. The spicy penne alla vodka was delicious and one of the best I've had in awhile. If you like Italian food, def give this place a try.

Nice happy hour for a group. We had a group of eight guys. Mostly draft beer with a good selection and shared bites. Service was excellent.

The food was so good. Came for my very 1st Mother's Day, and the food and ambiance were outstanding. From the garlic oil for the bread, to the delectable calamari, and OMG the seafood risotto everything was EXCELLENT. We will absolutely return.

Plenty of convenient parking. Service is always friendly and attentive. Low noice level allows for comfortable communication. Bread with oil and vinaigrette at no cost. Very nice selection of appetizers, salads and entrees. I've had everything on the menu and each item has been delicious and the potions are large enough for take home leftovers. At the price, makes for great value!
