The 15 Best Restaurants In Copenhagen - Copenhagen - The Infatuation

"A good day in Copenhagen starts with a simple sourdough bread roll. It’s usually served as a deconstructed sandwich with a slice of cheese and a swirl of butter, and then maybe a boiled egg, a piece of ham, or a dollop of jam. You can find this morning platter at almost every bakery in the city, but one of the best is served at Lido, along with other baked goods like kimchi crepes and pistachio-filled pastries. Lido is just a short walk from one of the dedicated swimming areas in the harbor, so when then the weather’s good, you can go for a post-breakfast dip after your meal—another way people here like to start their day." - mary holland

I visited on Saturday and really enjoyed the Eggs Florentine – they were delicious – and the matcha was good too. Sadly, they don’t serve chai latte 🫠. I also tried the cardamom raspberry bun, which was nice but nothing special. I came back on Sunday and ordered the folded eggs, but this time it was quite disappointing. The eggs were dry, especially on the bottom, which was unexpected. They were served on a slice of bread that wasn’t even toasted – a bit of butter, cream cheese, or some greens would make a big difference. On the bright side, the cookie was absolutely delicious (I may have eaten three 🙈). The crêpe wasn’t really for me, but I have to say it looked amazing.

Lido is an amazing place with space for all your needs. You can sit by yourself, with your lover, your friend, family or a serious business meeting. The staff is always sweet and friendly and makes you feel welcome. Martino, Anna and Valentina are absolutely incredible people and makes you feel very much at home. The coffee and matcha is to die for and the food changes regularly and is so comforting and mouthwatering. Literally my favorite place to be!

Aesthetic spot for a good breakfast or brunch. I got the yogurt bowl with granola and it was delicious. Tables are pretty limited and it does get a little loud when it fills up. I got a seat looking out the window where I enjoyed my coffee and food and it was lovely. They've got water you can pour yourself too.

Lido bakery in Copenhagen served us the best cardamom and cinnamon bun with a cute iced latte and the best window view of the streets of the city I lived the cafes aesthetic and the little Aesop products around the cafe. The coffee was bittersweet in the most delicious way but I wish it was served with a straw

Food was good level, nothing outstanding but super aesthetic which makes it nice😊 Service was super friendly and the table freed up in under 3 minutes. For us it might have been a bit too loud on a Sunday afternoon but okay for just a simple lunch.

Thought the food was great— the spicy egg with the bread was delicious and really beautifully presented. Also the coffee was good. I think the only reason why I cannot give Lido a 5 star review are the prices. In my opinion, coming from nyc prices, it’s really just too expensive for an everyday place. The pricing definitely scared me off to come back, which is a shame since the people working there seemed nice and the vibes/food/drinks are great. Something to consider. -G

Lovely pastries, friendly service - a lot of stuff was sold out when we came (around 13), so seems like you need to be there early to get the full experience

Great breakfast - the folded eggs with chili crunch and estragon are incredible! Probably best omelet’ish dish in Copenhagen. The honey/pistachio-bun was also very delicious. The coffee was also very good, but it must be the absolute smallest flat white you can get in copenhagen. I thought they gave me an espresso at first, it was kind of that size. The service was friendly although somewhat slow, but the place is also completely packed so that is sort of expected. So it’s the most delicious breakfast in copenhagen, but prepare for a wait and to pay quite a bit for it
