**CASH ONLY** First time at this particular location. I’ve been to two other locations. This one has all male workers and they’re not as rude as the other locations. Still loud but not rude rude. But then again, it’s not intentional, it’s just how they communicate. Aside from that, I don’t taste any difference and found the recipe to be consistent in all locations. You can rest assure that your roasted duck from any location will taste the same. To me, they have the best roast duck and their items are affordable. You can also bring your own turkey to get a roasted turkey for thanksgiving. You can also order a whole pig for a party.

In today's economic climate I try to support as much as possible local businesses to help them stay in business. I went to this location of Lien Hoa BBQ today and very much disappointed. I have to say, I have no intention of coming back. I ordered a two-item combo with rice. Usually you can order two items from the BBQ menu but now I was told you can't order roast pork and roast duck with rice. You have to order one roasted item and one from the hot counter. Fine, so I ordered as told. Mind you, there was no sign around stating that, in fact there was no signs at all saying they even offer items with rice. Story short, tab was over $13 .. I'll let the pictures speak for itself. Worth it?

Good food , quick service, and decent price, I recommend it for lechón, the chicken and duck are also good, but thw pork is the best to my taste. Recommended

We been love lien hoa since the first time we eat, but it's very heart broken that today we buy the duck with this bad quality. We are shocking and can't believe this. Why , why been so long for good and now just one time you guy ruining this name . I don't want to hate something when we love it so much. But this time I need to say is like we just done with this. We want to support you while the world is going wrong, but please don't treat us stupid. Thank lien hoa.

Bland, bland, bland . Absolutely no flavor . Bbq pork skin was not crispy and there’s no flavor at all. It was under seasoned. The char siu looked like it should be good but it’s not. It tastes like nothing. The color is there but there’s no fragrance nor flavor . What happened to this place

Avoid hassles in finding a parking spot & long lines by getting here a little early. Everything tastes great and prices are reasonable, too!

These people will lie to you just to make a dollar. We asked for 2 separate orders of chicken, 1lb each. The worker responded we have to get 2lbs each with total 4lbs. We told them that would be too much food, we won't be getting it. They immediately said how about 3lbs total, 1.5lbs per order. I agreed!! When we went to pay, each order was 1.9lbs total 3.8lbs. We don't mind the extra money, but it's just too much food and it will be wasted. These people are the worse customer service, and very unethical. Im all about supporting your locals, but these people need to be out of business.

This Lien Hoa has the cheapesr pork xasiu. Roast ducks are fime. Soysauce and salt baked chickens are delicious too.

Service was great, quick. Had the bbq pork shoulder without bone, Liver and gizzards, and the quail. All were great with banh mi which they also sold. Would return to this location as parking is better here.

Always a good stop and say hello to our friend at Lien Hoa BBQ Deli. Did I say delightful ...? Of course it is as you enter, and you are in awe of what hangs in the display case and what you notice in the serving of meats and prepped foods by the counter. No background music, just a good flavorful fragrance of a Chinese type deli hole in the wall. I came for the BBQ Pork, and he knows exactly that two pieces all sliced up make about a pond. All is good as the actual was $4.60, and sure, the fiver I handed over requires no change. I have to say that the BBQ Pork was very much, as expected, a savory mouthful of chewy sliced Lien Hoa BBQ pork. I will be back..

I absolutely hate this Lien Hoa location. Had a few bad experience here, one time I ordered the Roasted pork belly, the pork belly had so much fat in it, the skin wasn't crispy, but rubbery. Another time I ordered roasted pork belly, but I got charged for roasted pork belly, but gave me regular roasted pork (heo quay). How did I know you ask? because the price tag that was on the box says roasted pork belly, but the inside my box was just regular roasted pork (heo quay) with no skin. I am done with this location, I'll just stick to the OG lien hoa location on bolsa and bushard.

The chef who cut the roasted duck, stole all missing white pieces of meat . I encourage everyone opened your eyes wide and watched it carefully. The chef became a thief.

We always get the roasted pork by the lb here and recently I just found out from a foodie on IG that they have lunch combos. I stopped by and got the pork belly (which is served with rice & picked vegetables) I loved it and it definitely hit the spot! I would definitely come back again. Roasted duck was amazing! So thick and flavorful. Great price too! Minus one star because it's cash only. Minus 2 stars because they were so rude and very impatient. They were nice if you already knew what to get without asking questions and especially if you could speak their language. But it was our first time, we asked questions and they just didn't like that at all. They answered very rude and even tried to ignore us and was about to skip us to take order the next customer! Unbelievable! I was about to just give 1 or 0 star because of this but my wife said that the roasted duck was so good that it was worth it. Lol.

Dishonest business practices. They over weight the foods. The meat quality is also meh. With this kind of practice, no wonder they are mad slow on a Saturday

Went there on Friday before CNY and got stiffed on my roasted duck. They were busy and had pre-packaged "half full" "whole duck" ready for us. Hardly any breast meat and scrapings. My wife knows the show and tries to watch them chop it freshly. I was solo and got stung. Cash only so they can pocket even more.....$$$

Small shop but the roasted duck was good! Roast pork was crispy skin & tender meat. To go only, cash only, can't beat the prices. I would buy again.

I'm refraining from giving too bad of a review. Saw a Reel/TikTok about using this place for a peking turkey. Great concept but big fail on the execution. First. The person taking the order wasn't friendly. I think it would have helped if I spoke the same language but not sure what language to even try. Spoke some English, enough to place the order. Picked up the turkey 5 days later. Excited about the idea and couldn't wait to try it. The turkey was barely warm. Asked for the sauce and response was "no sauce" brushed me off. Brought it home and started to cut it up, it was dry as can be. Looks like I'll be making soup or throwing this out Would NOT recommend.

Delicious food with the worst service ever! The people here are extremely rude and if you have questions or are not sure what to order they immediately skip you for the next person in line. I found our Baos Hog, the restaurant next door gets their meat from here, but they have way better service. I suggest going to Baos Hog if you want delicious food and good service, not whatever this place is. Rudest customer service ever.

Came here and got a pound of the sweet pork and roasted pork! My boyfriend loved it so much! We're definitely coming back here for more and the price was also very reasonable! Also, Cash only!!

I was dieting (Keto) and needed something to get me through the 3.5 hour lecture I was about to do. Decided that I just wanted some meat, specifically crispy pork belly. After some searching I settled upon this place. It's exactly what you would expect of a BBQ Deli. A little run down, nobody speaks english, with people cutting all over the place. The roasted pork skin was perfectly crispy. However, it came with a little too much bone which made eating a pretty unpleasant. I think this place is also a little pricier than other places I have gone to. The sauce that came with is was good and they gave it to me without any asking.

If you are looking for a delicious peking style duck, yes, come here. But remember it's a cash only place. Do not expect good customer service though, but the food is good here. I really don't expect good service when I come here, but the last interaction was a little heated. Nevertheless, the duck is worth coming again. The duck is on the fattier side, but stays juicy even to the next couple of days.

Got one whole soy sauce chicken, one whole duck and a pound of roasted pork. I usually like to debone the chicken for my kids to eat more easily and so glad I did just that. Upon deboning I found a piece of metal which is usually used for cleaning grills in the chicken meat. This can be extremely dangerous if ingested. Not sure how the hygiene of this place is but the service and attitude of the man working at the front need adjustment also. I asked for sauce to go with my meat and he gave me a stare with no answer. He spoke to me in Chinese to pay cash but I didn't speak Chinese so he yelled cash only! If this place wasn't in my direction of home I wouldn't have dropped by. Next time, I will drive further and go to another shop.

Went here for the first time today. Lien Hoa BBQ Deli is your typical Asian hole in the wall to-go spots for bbq pork (char siu), bbq duck and steamed chicken, etc. You'll see ducks hanging down from the heated lamps and roasted crispy pork too. It's located in a relatively large strip mall so it's hard to miss - plenty of parking. We ordered the bbq pork to go - $4.49 per pound which is relatively cheap considering you're getting a pound of meat. They'll ask if you want it chopped or leave it whole. We got it whole and tried it at home and was very disappointed. The meat was tough and dry (char siu should always have some level of fattiness to it) and the sweet flavor wasn't all there. I tasted the five spice and that was it. Really disappointed at this place but I should have known better considering all the other negative reviews. We'll stop by one more time here to try the duck and steamed chicken - maybe they'll taste better than the bbq pork.

This review is for their honey bbq pork. Overcooked as the meat was very chewy. Tasted like eating a bbq leather mitt. And the men working there, it feels like I'm on a soup Nazi skit for Seinfeld. And I'm not basing this review on their customer service. The pork was really overcooked. If the pork tasted better, this would've been 4 stars review docking 1 star for the service.

Came here this morning to pick up a whole roast duck, got me 5 dipping sauces too. Efficient since I was the only customer at 9am. $21

Sent my daughter to get ba roi today as we were craving it for lunch. As soon as I opened the box, I knew they jacked her. (See photos uploaded) The meat were hard and stupid fatty! It's pretty sad to take advantage of kids when they don't know any better. I've been going to this place for years and I can truthfully say I will never go back.

This is the go to place for my parents. They like to the Roast duck, roast pork, and BBQ pork here because of the flavor...so anytime I'm in the area, I buy these goodies back for them.

Best hole in wall i found while looking for some solid Asian food 8am. Only accepts cash and speaks Vietnamese. Fantastic pricing ! Duck wings small size is $2 but it's packed and filled in the to go cup and feels like a large, approximately 20wings... Roast pork I love more fatty and I got exactly what I wanted. Oh man, juicy!

$5.00 per pound for their roasted pork, an excellent deal. A little bit salty but I mix it with a ton of veggies. I tried their duck with lunch plate and found the pieces of duck I got were not the breast or thigh but the back. A little too boney and "where's the meat". I won't buy the duck plate again but go back and buy a ton of their roasted pork to mix with my vegetables.

Yelp indicates business opening until 7pm. Call the establishment to confirm and notified them were on our way there. Arrived @ 6:22pm, and the store already closed. Why did they confirmed their opening hours, told us to come, then punked us?

Located in a huge Asian strip mall, just east of the 405 freeway is this Chinese/ Vietnamese BBQ deli. Their specialty is the duck and the roast pork. Normally I visit the other location off Bolsa, which is much larger, but I was heading toward Westminster and this was on the way. I had a craving for the roast pork, and at 5:15 pm, I walked in and all they had was 3 hanging roast ducks and roast pork spareribs. As I was the only one in the store, I wasn't sure what to do. Do I buy something? Do I walk out? I kept asking the old guy "No more roast pig?" He replied "No more, sold out. Next time, come early". But... it was 5:15, not even dinner time. Sighing I took about 1/4 of a pound of the spareribs. I actually took it back to my car and scarfed it down. The meat was delicious, but a tad salty. I want to give the place 4 stars for the excellent food, but it was truly slim slim pickings at 5:15. Perhaps it was a Monday and they know its not as busy? I don't know, but was so disappointed that I left without my roast pig.

What's Good: a whole Roasted Duck (Vit Quay), a pound of Roasted Pig (Heo Quay), and pound of Char Siu BBQ Pork (Xa Xiu) will be a great meal for a family of 4 or a couple with leftovers for the next day. If you don't specify a choice for the Roasted Pig, it'll be an assortment - ask for the Rib Belly (ba roi) for the good stuff. Don't forget the French Bread (banh mi) to go with the meats. The Rice Vermicelli (Banh Hoi) and Bao Buns (Banh Bao) are good pairings as well. All are found on the storage racks while standing in line. Carb + Meat + the orange sauce they give you or the Roasted Duck sauce = Vietnamese soul food. I drool just thinking about it. Other Notes: this is our go-to spot for Vietnamese Roasted Duck and Pork. No place else. It's cash only, so come prepared.

I usually visit the location off Bolsa, but my mom told me to go to this one because it was easier to get to and the parking is much better... My family go to is their roasted duck. Ordered 2 ducks today. They were delish. Tried their pickled cabbage. It was tangy and sweet. It was okay. A bit pricey here. Chicken Feet was okay. The guy also insisted I try their chopped ears and tongues. It's okay. I wouldn't get it next time. I think I the annoying part is... I told him 1lb... Instead I was given more. He just filled the little box up! I will only come back for the roasted duck. That's what I like here and I plan to skip the other stuff...

Don't know why this place got such low review. I went get roast duck around 9 am on Sunday and the owner let me choose whatever duck I want. He showed me which rice vermicelli is still warm and new, and put a lot of sauce in the duck for me without me even asking. The duck is so fresh and yummy. Definitely come back when I'm in a craving for roast duck.

Usually, when i go to this place.. the guys working are nice. But when i went thursday morning. The guy working in the front was so flipping rude. And their thit heo quay was not good. I ended up having to go to a different place for better thit heo quay.. he was getting upset with me because i ordered small amounts of all their dishes. I just having buffet style. It was slow, i dont see the big deal... steer clear of their thit heo quay though. Just bite the bullet and go to the one of bolsa. At least the one on bolsa has an atm machine... he literally threw my change at me at the end.... i wanted to curse him out... i get its a vietnamese place and their customer service is not that awesome. But this dude was extra rude. Never coming again.

Worst place ever! Come here if you want to be ignored and disrespected. These old asian men treat women as second class citizens and will help the male customers first even though they saw you waiting in line ahead of the them. My mom and I were completely ignored while they helped another male customer who just walked in the door after us. Completely disgusting and discriminatory based on gender. We will definitely not ever go back again! Pork was cold and tasteless. Never again!

This worst place to buy duck or anything .they give old rice and poultry. I can't believe it. Other places with the same name better Fuck this place and it dirty . Health inspector need to check this place. I'm going to report it

The guys working there are sooo rude. I went to buy a roast duck and bbq pork. I usually buy these items in Alhambra but was in the area so thought I'd try a new place. Wow, the level of rudeness was ridiculous. Overall it's just mind boggling. I am a friendly easy going person. I gave them zero reason to bark at me as they did. During this time of covid and I know businesses are struggling, initially I wasn't going to post this. However, I was just talking to my aunt and she said that she went there one time too and that is exactly how they treated her as well.

Roast pork (heo quay) was cold, stale, and dry. People buy this meat for the crunchy pork rinds. I didn't get any crunch on the pork skins. The pork was slightly more bearable after tossing them in the oven for like 20 minutes... Can't believe they serve this to the customers.

Cashier cheated food prices. I won't come back. Be careful, every body! check carefully your box cover before leaving this.

If I can give this place a negative review I would give this a negative 5 stars. The meat tasted old like it was cooked in old oil or either it has been sitting there for a while. The service was even worse. The guy (boss) who rang me up was rude. The last time I came here, I only ordered $7 worth of meat because it was only for me. The guy scoffed at the "little" amount of money I spent. He rang me up and didn't give me any sauce. So I went ahead to ask if I can have a couple of the sauce to go with my food. He then had the audacity to say, "Why do you need the sauce when you only spent $7 dollars on your meal." I was angry and said "....to go on the bread?" Like what else would you use it for? I was going to call him out and say that he needs some manners and I am a paying customer. I decided to let it go and come on Yelp to vent about what went on. I think this review will help the Yelp community even more. He just lost a customer who normally orders about $30 worth of food whenever I order food here for the family. I will be finding another BBQ place to go. I hope you will as well.

There are a few Lien Hoa BBQs around Westminster, this being the smallest and doesn't have as many different types of items on sale. The one off Bolsa is bigger. Still, the BBQ pork and roast duck are both pretty good. They understand English fairly well. If you buy a whole duck and you're a little wary of having to chop the thing up, just ask them and they'll do it for you. Same goes for the cha siu. There is also pre-packaged fresh rice noodles (fun) on sale too. Try to go in the morning. There isn't as large a selection come afternoon.

Having been regularly going to those Chinese BBQ delis in San Gabriel/Rowland Heights area for years this place was lackluster. The Portion of the meat was kinda small for duck actually very small.. pork portion, however, was acceptable. Other than rice and the meat they only gave pickled cabbage which did not go along with the everything else.. I had expected some bok choy instead which is the more common side in other Chinese BBQ delis. Also, no soup was provided. Summary Comparison Chinese BBQ delis I have been going to vs Lien Hoa ( Lien Hoa is pretty much opposite of the list below ) 1. The Portion is generally better for both Duck/Pork 2. Have more varieties and also have lo mein option 3. Side Bok Choy and usually provide a soup but soup isn't anything spectacular, it is just nice to have on the side It is an ok place if you are in the area and craving this type of food because there aren't many options in the area. I personally would not come back again unless I have no choice at all.

Quality of meat is okay but service is the worst. Ordered 2 lbs of heo quay, 1 lb of xa xiu and 1 lb of pha lau. Tell me how I left with 3.7 lbs of heo quay, 1.4 lbs of xa xiu and 1.6 lbs of pha lau. I even asked the butcher to stop chopping the heo quay when I noticed there was more than usual and he had the audacity to say it just looks that way but it's really not. When it came time to weigh the meat, the guy didn't even mention how much it weighed at and just gave me the total $$ owed. NEVER AGAIN. If you come here, make sure to order less than what you really want since it's their practice to over-estimate.

**** Chinese BBQ goodness **** This place has some great BBQ roasted pork, duck, and chicken. The roasted pork is juicy with a crunchy outter skin. You can even ask for a specific cut with more or less fat depending on your preference. The BBQ duck is also soooo flavorful with the same signature yummy outter skin. These are always delicious entree items to add to any meal of the day. One thing to keep in mind is that this food is not cholesterol friendly. If you're ready for a triple bypass this may not be for you :-) The older gentleman at the front is always friendly and upbeat. Here's something I have noticed a few times I've been here. There are a few people that treat him with such disrespect (and you know who you are). Just because he may have suffered a stroke doesn't mean that he should be talked down to. So please, get your head out of your *ss and find yourselves some manners. Food = great Service = friendly Ordering area / eating area = clean Restroom = unknown

Cheating. When I showed the sale person I wanted to buy one piece of port roast. After he weighed and turned around cut another piece that I didn't like put into the box for me. I was very disappointed. I'll never buy from this store again.

If I could give 4.5 stars that would be more truthful. I researched Lien Hoa BBQ while looking for places that could serve whole roasted pigs. With several locations, I knew I had found the place. The party was in Fullerton, and this seemed close enough. I actually had planned on going to the location on Bolsa, but earlier in the week, my dad brought me to this shopping center for lunch at the vegetarian Vietnamese place there. That's when I saw the sign for Lien Hoa. Recognizing that this was the same biz different location, I walked in. I met Dat, who told me I should order from him, since I was already there, and so with a deposit of 40$, so it went. So here is where the .5 star deduction comes in... I came back on Saturday at noon, as instructed with my receipt in hand. An older gentleman was there, I told him that I was there for a whole pig. Showed him my receipt. He looked puzzled, looked thru a drawer, then found the copy of the receipt. He then proceeded to to the back of the restaurant. The next few minutes were followed by yelling and screaming in some form of Asian Dialect, could have been mandarin, could have been Cantonese, back and forth, back and forth.... then the Older Gentleman comes out to the counter and holds up 2 fingers and says ..."OK... 20 minute".... I entertained by the what I had seen and heard, I had no choice but to wait. When the Pig was ready out comes the younger man from earlier in the week, apologizing for the long wait and admitting he was at fault for not having my order ready. Bottom line the Pig was well worth the wait, Skin crispy and full on DELICIOUS. I Believe we converted a few little children into Pig skin loving kids... Shout out to Olivia Anzalone who could not stay away from the Piggy before the party got a full swing on.... And there was plenty left over after the party for me to fry up with eggs in the morning and later on put in a crock pot with veggies for Pork Sandwiches.... They had Peking duck in the display and while I waited, several families came in to pick up what can only be assumed to be dinner for that night. Good stuff, fair pricing... ALL GOOD!!!!

Lien Hoa has got to be my favorite place to get crispy pork! Their selection of meat is always good quality and never seems to disappoint. I often come here for lunch because it's just so easy to pick up food from here. I'm in and out within 5 minutes! Also super affordable! The 2 older men that work here are super adorable and friendly! They always know exactly what I want. I would give this place 5 stars but their liver and gizzard is very inconstant. Some days their liver could be super dry and not enjoyable while other days it could be soft and perfect! Also sometimes when they run low on gizzard he would just scoop me more liver.. but besides that only con I will always be a returning customer. They do offer Duck tongue on the weekends!! Highly recommend trying it!

Worst BBQ place I ever went to, the duck taste old and the pork as well, Came home ate a little because I was so craving it. Threw the rest in the trash. Must buy from Sam Woo BBQ, they are the best.

We were going to visit the parents and I wasn't sure what I was going to bring. Hmm, it's Chinese New Year so we should bring a roasted duck! The Lien Hoa BBQ Deli on Beach Blvd. is smaller than the other location on Bolsa but offers the same tasty roasted duck. We walked in the small, take-out, CASH ONLY deli and Hubby told one of the servers that he would like a roasted duck which cost under $20. The server takes one of the ducks hanging in the deli, butchers it into nice even pieces, and arranges our roasted duck in the to-go container with a couple of containers of sauce. Very Nice! We'll continue to return to Lien Hoa for their roasted duck which are reasonably priced and for their quick service. 4 Stars!

Been craving some deliciously crispy roast pork and had my boyfriend swing by and pick some up. The roast pork here is soooo tasty! Tons of flavor and is very juicy. I ordered the pork belly meat so it can be a little fatty but whos counting calories anyways ...?! The combination of the fat and juicy meat just melts in your mouth. The sauce is not needed! OH and the skin...is just heavenly goodness... *droolsssss* CASH ONLY! I came here the first time without any cash on me only to be teased with the aromas.

This place had Peking ducks on Thanksgiving, unlike the other bigger location on Bolsa. I was told to come to this location after unsuccessfully securing a Peking duck for my family. The other location had plenty of roasted duck but no Peking-style roasted duck. What gives? This place is only 2 miles from the Bolsa location so it was no biggie to drive over. The parking lot was a lot larger and off of a less busy street. The Peking duck was only $15, not bad. I only bought one but the lady who came in after me bought 3. Holy cow, happy Thanksgiving to her family. They also offer to roast your turkey Peking-style as well for $20; of course, you need to provide your own. If you don't then the turkey is $65. This place is cash only which is a slight inconvenience only if you are plastic-inclined. The prices are cheap and the BBQ is good, so I can't really complain.

Never fails to disappoint. So they offer a lunch special deal for rice with 1 or 2 items of meat. Last 3 times I've come to get the rice with bbq duck and roast pork they conveniently give me the ducks neck with bone only and driest piece of roast pig. If you want to suck on bones and choke on cardboard meat give them a try.
