The Best Chinese Restaurants In Los Angeles

"The Prince of Poultry is back, and not to be cliche, better than ever. After a short break, Pearl River Deli has returned to Chinatown with a brand new space and expanded menu. While the excellent Chinese/Cantonese restaurant used to only do to-go orders, the new PRD comes with a cozy little dining room and dine-in service, which means dishes are served the way they were meant to be eaten—hot and fresh. Glossy char siu is cut thick and placed over a bed of egg noodles. Hainan chicken comes with a ramekin of different sauces, plus yellow rice that’s been fluffed with chicken fat. There are some upgraded old favorites, like the Macau pork chop bun that arrives on a sugar-encrusted pineapple bun that's now made in house, as well as exciting new additions, like the tenshindon, a runny crab omelet served over rice and smothered in gravy. Grab a seat at one of the worn, wooden tables—the energy in here reminds us of a Hong Kong café, where you’ll eat next to friends catching up over dumplings and families trying everything on the menu." - fiona chandra, kat hong

16 Great LA Restaurants You Didn’t Realize Serve Lunch

"Head to Pearl River Deli when you need instant satisfaction for a few reasons: it's reliably open for lunch through dinner, the menu covers a wide range of regional Chinese dishes, and there's a constant rotation of specials that you can track on their Instagram. Our advice: come to the Chinatown spot for the excellent char siu pork, silky Hainan chicken, and incredible dessert menu. " - sylvio martins, jess basser sanders, brant cox

Google
Amazing food. Ordered half roasted duck, banh cuon and Vietnamese. All delicious and fresh. Small takeout inconspicuous but the place looks deceiving. The place has an A from health inspection and food is spectacular. The Google rating is well deserved. Staff was friendly and quick. They speak Chinese and Vietnamese. Pro tip. Go there first hour of opening is best between 8-9am, no line, food just freshly prepared. .

Google
I previously came here about a year ago and ordered their roasted pork and duck. It was delicious especially with the special duck sauce. You can add that sauce to anything (eg. Noodles or rice) and it will make anything amazing. 10/10 I recently ordered the pork again and it still taste amazing. 10/10

Google
A family member picked up some Lien Hoa on the way home. The pork skin was fresh and crispy while the meat was juicy and flavorful. The tenderness was definitely there. Excited about coming back for more! 🤤

Google
Best roasted duck in LA. The price may be a little expensive but you pay what you get. Hands down best roasted duck in LA. Also this place is cash only so remember to bring plenty if you're planning to visit this place. The free parking is nice but it's so small. It's a 50/50 chance whether you'll get a parking spot. Don't chance it trying to parking on the street without putting some coins in the meter. Meter maids have increased their presence in Chinatown.

Google
My go-to place every time I visit LA. Discovered this hidden gem in my 1 week stay in LA. I was staying at the Best Western Dragon Inn Hotel which was about 5 mins walk away from this place. We ordered pork belly, bbq pork and a nice bowl of steaming warm rice. Everything paired perfectly. They also give out sauces to go with your food. I unfortunately could not get roasted duck as you have to call in advance, but I was very satisfied with my food. This place is cash only and they also sell grocery too. Prices are reasonable. Give this place a try if you want real authentic Chinese food made by Chinese uncles!

Great little deli for on the go way food and treats. Homemade egg rolls.

Kind people, one of the best Red Bean Milk Teas I’ve had and the boba is fresh!

Google
Delicious Cantonese bbq. Crispy pork is among the best I have had in LA area, always a good cut ( evenly fat lean) forget about the hipster joints popping up everywhere. Support the OG. Pig intestines ( chitterlings) is also a must try. Also offers a solid supply of Chinese pantry staples like sauces, rice, noodles, eggs, pickles, perhaps a selection of fresh greens depending on the day.

Yelp
If you are craving Soy Sauce Chicken with the ginger scallion side sauce and broth, this is your place. The food is good, the ladies are sweet, the bahn mi style French rolls are sold 3 in a bag and soooo fresh and crunchy chewy! The parking is a bit rough but worth it.

Yelp
I pre-ordered the medium sized roasted pig for my boy's birthday party. The sight of a whole roast pig was definitely a crowd pleaser. The meat was flavorful and skin was nice and crispy. Of course the only downside was the amount of leftovers which meant we were eating pork, pork soup, pork fried rice, pork stew all week....

Yelp
I've been living a block away from this place for over four years, and I decided to finally give it a try after seeing such great Yelp reviews. I stopped in for lunch and got a bbq pork over rice, as well as two egg rolls, and a banh bo nuong la dua (from Lamway Bakery). I regret coming at all. Despite being very busy and it looking delicious, the bbq pork was the worst I have ever had. It was extremely hard, and had the unmistakable taste of heavy iron. It was like chewing on a hard piece of liver. This means that the pork quality was absolute shit, and they also didn't bleed the pig properly. Then I bit into an egg roll and was met with the unmistakable taste of rancid oil. This means they haven't changed their oil in a long time. I threw both in the trash. Completely inedible. At least the pandan bread is amazing, but that is credited to Lamway Bakery and not here. This was huge waste of money, and I am sad that I wasted my time coming in.

Yelp
this is my go to spot for all my asian holiday potlucks! this duck here is always so thick and juicy! the pork belly is roasted to perfection with crispy crunchy skin! i've had my share of duck and roasted pork and i would say this place has the best in LA. the staff here are fun, i like to listen to them argue with customers in vietnamese. customers be wild sometimes. if there's no line, they cut up your meats pretty fast. this place also has a grocery section where you can pick up snacks, hot sauce, noodles and asian cookies.

Yelp
We stop in to buy food here at least once a month because their duck is good. The staff isn't very nice though. At least not to us. Showed up today, Chinese New Year, and they looked into the eyes and faces of everyone around us and shouted, "happy new year." They didn't greet me or my hubby at all though. And when we told them, "happy new year" after spending about $150 on food, the dude ringing us up mumbles low and under his breath so we could barely hear it, 'happy new year' Wow laulau. I know we might not look Chinese but... surprise! We do have Chinese ancestry. Anyways, that's my story. Go for the duck and the roast pork but don't expect them to be super friendly.

Yelp
I would stop by this establishment every so often. The owner is like that uncle that you've known your whole life. The egg rolls are fresh and the duck has that nice skin. The shrimp fried rice isn't too bad either. Stop by for that OG Chinatown feel and to say hi to the uncle!

Yelp
My mom's favorite place for roast pork and we have the same taste buds! Ruby's in Rosemead is delicious but a bit fatty compared to this place. Granted, sometimes the pork at this place does have a bigger fat chunk between the meat and skin but Ruby's seems to have the fat marbled into the meat. Easier to peel the fat away at this place. I'm also not a fan of five spice so the light seasoning on the meat is perfect for me. We recently bought a chicken here and it was tasty! Possibly free range? It was the yellow one. It was a bit more cooked than I usually like but the flavor was very good. Please note that I prefer my chicken closer to the "gimme salmonella" side =) My mom also bought some pork bones here and they were the freshest pork bones I've ever seen! -Tip: If you're a planner, call the day before and ask them to save you a piece of roast pork from a specific part of the pig so that you can control the fat content.

Yelp
$11 for rice and bbq pork! These are the masters at Cantonese-style dishes and have the finely chopped meats to prove it. Now tell me, who got the meats?

Yelp
First let me say I'm 100% chinese. I look Chinese and fluent in Mandarin, Teo Chew, and English. So my ability to communicate is above average. Apparently, not good enough for the people working at this store. I also look suspicious enough for them to target me. I walk in and they automatically ask me, "What do you need?". She spoke over the person she was helping and the man stopped his restocking to address me. They treated me like I was there to steal. Mind you I was waiting after the customer they were waiting for. I politely say ask for a bag because I'm buying four bags of rice noodles (becuase it is greasy). I said it four time in Mandarin and then in English. She didn't understand and kept barking at me. The customer then told her in Cantonese she wants a bag to get noodles. At this point I was annoyed at the rudeness and how she assumed I was upto no good becuase I'm younger. The guy from the back walked up up to the front to give me a bag. I paid and they said nothing to me after cuz at that point I was extremely upset and was on the phone in every dialect expressing how irrated I was for them being so rude. I said it in Mandarin, English, Teochew, and my broken Cantonese. If this was the first time, I wouldn't be so upset. However they have been rude to myself and my husband in the past. The only reason I came back was cuz my typical place ran out of noodles. Culture norms of being abrasive, rude, and discriminatory need to be stopped.

Yelp
I only come here for special occasions/Asian holidays so I can't comment on this place's day to day, but even though I personally dread stopping by, I do keep coming back for the roasted pork. Parking is non-existent. There's a free tiny, tiny lot next to it that fits maybe 4 cars legally, but it's shared with the equally popular, fresh poultry place next door. The only way out of this lot is to back out past a busy sidewalk into a busy main street. Good luck if you plan to use this lot. I recommend having someone drive around the block while you try to run in and grab whatever it is you want. They'll be circling a few times though. The store itself is pretty small and cramped full of stuff. On busy days, the disorganized line goes out the door and it's hard to tell what's going on. Service is as quick as they can be, but there's no real attempt at maintaining order. It's chaos. To get out, you need to be firm with the other guests about your place. Sadly, don't be afraid to use your elbows. They WILL be all up in your space. You also need to be loud to get the workers' attention, or they will move right over you to the little old lady getting grumpier by the second. Normally, all that would be enough to turn me away. I dislike being in rowdy crowds, but this place has decent roasted pork for the lowest price I can find. The skin is actually crisp, the meat is still flavorful, and the small whole pig is only $280 --$40 less than other places I've tried!

Yelp
Roasted pork- 5/5 The outside was crispy while the inside was juicy. I think it could have had a thicker crispy layer but the meat and the flavor was delicious anyways. Duck-4.5/5 The duck didn't have much fat so the meat ratio was great. The savory flavor was also delicious. Overall-5/5 Would come back!

Yelp
I am not an expert foodie, but I know what is authentic and what tastes good when it comes to Cantonese style roasted Pork, Cha-Siu, roasted duck, etc. This place is a small shop which do their roasting on site. I went there in the middle of the day and ordered a two-items combo with roasted duck and roasted pork. The skins of both meat still retained some crispiness despite being hung on the self for half a day. Not too bad. The meat of the roasted pork is more on the lean side, but yet it is still soft and tender in your mouth. The duck is almost succulent good, not too fat which is what I like. To my surprise they cut me the legs and thighs from a new whole duck for my two-items combo. I have never seen things done like before. Chinese restaurants always give you the chicken/duck breast first and keep the legs and thighs for later. If you are a Chinese you will understand. This place is definitely a 8+ out of 10 and I rate most bigger Cantonese BBQ places in Los Angeles a 6 at most on average. I am sure I have had tasted better, but this place is definitely good. I will definitely come here next time when I visit Chinatown.

Yelp
Very classic Chinese bbq. Nothing fancy. And you know the drill at this kind of spot: cash only. If you want roast pork or a roast duck, this is the place! I come for roast pork. It's my dad's favorite. One day I was picking up pork for my parents and planned to visited my mom's friend on the way. I knew their adult kids were visiting that day too so I decided to bring them a roast duck. By the next morning, all three adult children texted me to ask where I got the duck. They loved it. I got a duck for my parents and I next time I was around. It was so good. Crisp skin and super juicy meat. The "duck sauce" is really just the drippings, all the spices are in it and and it's delicious over rice. I'd recommend calling in your order so they can set it aside for you since parking is a little difficult in Chinatown. There's a yellow curb in front of the business with room for two cars, so if you're lucky you can park for a minute and run in to grab your food.

Yelp
This was a tough post because I really want to support the community here but when I paid $12.95/lb for what should've been some good roast pork, I ended up with a product that was mostly fat and therefore largely inedible. Compared to most places I've been, the spice rub wasn't very strong and certainly not enough to penetrate and make the fat worth eating. I ended up throwing 2/3 out after nibbling on the meat. Bummer. Will have to find another BBQ house.

Yelp
This place should be called "The Pork Market". I imagine a night where someone would want some roasted pork for dinner, and would stop by here to get it. Or like, if you were to be going to a potluck or house party and wanted to bring some ready-to-eat pork, then this would be the best place to get it. It is pretty darn good! Crispy skin, tender and flavorful meat. Their BBQ pork option is very similar to what you will find in Chinese restaurants. You'll also find various hot sauces, some baked asian sweets and such, asian chips and wafers, Roasted duck hanging in a glass case, and a small produce section. I'm still on the hunt for the best Banh Mi sandwiches in Chinatown and Lien Hoa Deli does them in their own way. They only have three options, and the day I went they were out of the other than pork one; so pork sandwiches it was! Oh glorious pork! Pork sandwiches galore. They were very satisfying pork sandwiches; but didn't hit the Banh Mi sensation I was looking for. The bread they use is very crispy and will leave a mess if you don't have your technique down. It's a good bread, but some may be weirded-out by it. Next time I want a pork sandwich, I know where to go.

Yelp
Great duck, BBQ, and stir fried noodle awesome dishes. We ordered 2 ducks and two stir fries. Sausages were sold out today, sigh, wanted to try it. We'll go back for that.

Yelp
Ordered duck, it was okay. I have to keep writing b/c Yelp won't let me post this as a review unless it's long.

Yelp
Once upon a time I was very sick and felt very queasy walking along Chinatown's busy street of Broadway. Maybe it had to do with the high stench of sewer smell. All I know was that I couldn't take it any more and duck right in to this shop. Lien Hoa was like a like a lot things going smashed into one tiny place. It can be a deli where they served those banh mi sandwiches. It does some action of bobba tea drinks. You can also shop for some delicious ethnic snacks or you can also buy many different BBQ meats on your way out for take-outs. Of course without failing, they also do Chinese & Vietnamese dishes in there as well. It's very small of a place with a lot of different options you can order from. Based on the choices I gave you, obviously they are opening up for tourists and trying to cover all bases to entice people to come in. The place is very small with only a few tables for dining in. I don't think you wanted to dine in anyways with the tables being sticky and not very clean. That's the unfortunate part about dining in places like these are that cleanliness is not their most appealing attraction. The drinks are not bad at as I have one of their bobba tea drinks. It did sooth my uneasiness along the streets and refresh me a bit. However, it didn't make me want to stay too long at this place as I noticed the trash was piling up on the trash bin. Apparently you have to throw away your plates and boxes in that open trash can. There was no lid on it to shoo away the flies. It's one of those place where you come in at YOUR own risk. It's worth getting something fast and out. You just don't want to wound up staying too long.

Yelp
Great plc clean and delicious my husband got the fried whole crispy pork for my B-Day all the family love it
google avatar

Lily T.

Yelp
3.5 stars, rounded up to 4 because the guy making my sandwich was super nice :) This tiny place is a mixture of oddities. They sell limited groceries like fresh fruits and vegetables, fresh noodles, pre-packaged vietnamese desserts and such, BBQ pork, roast pork, fried and salted and soy sauce chicken, some other meats i cant recall, banh mi sandwiches, boba, and other drinks. I also saw fried rice on the menu. From reading a past review, I think the prices of the banh mi went up. BBQ pork was $3.75, roast pork was 4.75 i think? Pretty average banh mi. It wasn't bad but it didn't blow my mind away. The bread was crispy and crumbly (is that a word?). Crumbs got all over the place as I was eating it. ANYWAYs, cash only. I didnt see a parking lot for it specifically but you can find one of those lots in chinatown or metered parking. I will be back to try some of their meats! There's no seating in there so order ur stuff to go. oh and... why is "Seafood Market" in part of the store name? I didn't see any sign of seafood.. unless I'm mistaken?
google avatar

Kathie M.

Yelp
I used to love the roasted pork banh mi here! Roasted pork was amazing alongside fresh cilantro, jalapeno, cucumbers, and crisp pickled carrots and white radish... Yummy! It was also super affordable at $4.50! Alas! It is not the case anymore . I went in today and was charged $6.76. I was surprised at the price hike but since the sandwich was so good I didn't really mind.... At the time. As I was eating the sandwich, I noticed there was no cilantro, no cucumber, the pickled veggies had this strange off putting flavor and the bread which always used to be so fresh was now stale. The pork was still good so I just picked the pork out and are that alone instead. Really really sad but I don't think this will be my go to banh mi spot anymore. The guys behind the counter are still super friendly!
google avatar

Yelp
4.5 stars. Lien Hoa appears to be want to be many things to many people, but to me, it boils down to a good Cantonese-style BBQ joint. Currently, it tops my list for take-out roast pork (siu yok/siu nam) in L.A. Their roast duck (siu ahp) isn't bad either. The place doesn't have much of a storefront, and it's easily overlooked, but it does have the obligatory glass case in which roast pork, duck, and chicken are hung for display and access to the cooks. You can also get Vietnamese-style bahn-mi sandwiches, boba/tea drinks and a variety of snacks. They also sell pretty good baguettes for $1. There are some tables to sit-in, but the "dining room" is small. This is a cash-only joint. Verdict: gotta try their BBQ, take-out is the way to go.
google avatar

Eileen K.

Yelp
They have whole roast duck here for $20. Other places in the neighborhood do as well for similar price. They don't have bahn mi here anymore. A few grocery items.
google avatar

Jessie M.

Yelp
This will now be my go-to banh mi place. SO good. Only $4. Closer than San Gabriel. Friendly owners. This is how it should be. The bread is really good, the sandwich is large, and the fillings were great. I tried the bbq pork and was pleasantly surprised by how much they put in and how tender it was. I've read other reviews that say they've skimped on their fillings, but I didn't experience that. Plus the jalapenos where cut big and thick which made it extra spicy and delicious. Parking is always tough around here during the day, but it's possible to find a metered space not too far. They sell whole roast duck and chicken, as well as BBQ pork and roast pork, all of which I will be returning to purchase! It really feels like south east Asia in there. They also sell a big selection of boba as well as some Vietnamese snacks, sweets and fresh fruit. I will be craving this again in no time.
google avatar

Kara S.

Yelp
2.5 stars. The bread is really good here. Very fresh and tasty. I think they might be putting butter on it, but I'm not sure. But whatever it is, it works. The rest of the sandwich, not so much. They really skimped on the filling here. I found myself biting into empty pieces of bread more than a sandwich. In fact, based on this sample, I can't really recommend this place. But if they sell baguettes, I'd try a few from here. They seem to be more of a bbq/boba place so maybe those things are better here. Also, the service was really awkward. I was the only one in the shop for awhile and for the most part, I was pretty much ignored. I'm used to that stuff, though, but this was unusually awkward because it seemed to take a really long time for the food to be ready. Also, one of the guys seemed to want to hose down the interior and he kept getting into my personal space with his hose. At one point, he actually dropped the hose and a little of the water splashed into my face. Pretty gross, I'd say. Overall, I'd get the baguette and make some sandwiches at home. Or maybe come back here for some roasted duck hanging in the windows. Skip the sammich and call it a day. Oh, and it was the most expensive too, coming in at $2.71 after tax.
google avatar

John Kenji H.

Yelp
I'm giving this place 5 stars based on the tastiness of their meats and Banh Mi, value and friendly family style service. it takes awhile for them to make a sandwich so expect at least 5 minutes. there's also no place to really sit and eat... well there is but it's really awkward. I just take my sandwich home or sit outside on the bench. Definitely one of the places i look forward to when eating in the area.
google avatar

Hector H.

Yelp
Cash only. No nonsense. Order. Pick up. Type of place. Their food is delicious and exotic. The Chinese fast food items are not so fast food tasting but rather good. The Pecking duck is succulent and crispy. But that Banh Mi is always why Im here.
google avatar

Anna S.

Yelp
CASH Only! Bahh... at least I came prepared... My BF and I had to go to a BBQ later that day and wanted to bring something. We happened to be down the street at another event and decided to wander around and find a good Chinese deli to pick up some yummy goodies... We wandered in here and ordered a roasted duck, a pound of bbq pork, and fried rice. For 40 bucks, we got a great amount of food and found the quality to be pretty darn good. The service is about average for a place in Chinatown, but they spoke decent English, which allowed us to order and choose easily. I definitely would be a repeat customer and look forward to ordering a Banh Mi next time!
google avatar

J A.

Yelp
$4.50 BBQ banh mi had TOO much meat in it. I couldn't finish it was so fatty and meaty. My mouth was coated in that gelatinous/fat yuckyness. Knowing that I am picky about food and more of a healthy eater, i realize that MOST people would PREFER to have too much meat in their sandwiches. Bread was on point tho! Where's the pate? I like a lil' smear of it, but haven't found that in LA yet.

Yelp
This place can be a bit hit or miss depending on day and what you order, but the Peking Duck has always been outstanding. Only reason I go. Worth the parking headache. The duck jus they serve it with is fabulous and it's still juicy and moist when you get it home (you won't want to eat in). The chili oil they sell is outstanding as well. Based on other reviews I tried roast pork his time. Wish I hadn't. The pork was moist and good, but the skin was crispy and hard to the point of possible tooth breakage. Ended up wishing we'd gone for the full Peking duck instead. On that-their rolls are sold separately-not that crazy about those, and you'll need your own scallions at home. They will give you salt picked scallions in oil that are very good. Place won't let you take pics, so just FYI as of June 2019 half duck is $11.95 and full $22.95. Up quite a bit in the last years, but definitely worth it and better than many restaurants.

Yelp
Go to place for Chinese BBQ in Chinatown, sometimes even willing to drive down from SFV. Food: Roast pig, roast duck, roast chicken, chicken claws, sausages and others of the like, that is what you will find here. They also have bread, sandwiches and boba drinks but never try them because there are better places to get it. Prices have gone on the up and up the past couple years. Roast pig and duck used to be great deals but now can be a little pricey. Still delicious regardless. Best thing you can eat is the crunchy skin on the roast pork, just simply delicious, unfortunately you can't just purchase that by itself. Everything is sold by weight here besides whole roasted pig and roasted ducks. Service: Quick and easy, just stand in line and wait your turn to tell them what you want. They get it, chop it up and then you pay. Can get busy and crowded and people will try to cut so you have to stand firm. Location: Like many shops in Chinatown, there is no parking. Luckily there is a big and cheap lot down the street from Lien Hoa, max amount is $4 I think, not sure if it's gone up in price. *Side note, theres this oldish Asian lady that sells rice cake and meat out front. $1.50 get's you a serving of deliciousness. Usually place an order before I enter Lien Hoa and pick it up on my way out.

Yelp
Go To Roast Pork Place. BBQ Pork. Packages rice giant noodle. Foods taste Toisan. But stroefront name Vietnamese. If you a Foodie. Drop in. Order sample small sizes first. Get fork. Sneek in bites. Then Foodie Up buying more for home. I've been here many many times.
google avatar

Gamward Q.

Yelp
Best roast pork in Chinatown. It's just salty enough to be tasty and fatty enough to crisp the skin. The meat's texture has a snap to it that is satisfying, not mealy or dry like some other places. Their whole chickens and whole ducks are fantastic too. It's take-out place. There is absolutely no reason for anyone to presume it's a restaurant.
google avatar

Yelp
Foods, bbq sandwiches and roast duck are on the money! However, this place doesnt get a 5 stars from me is because the drink-Thai Tea with boba: very old boba pearls, boba hard to chew not fresh and the Tea is also old and u could taste that it has been sittting around for too long almost ranset.
google avatar

Yelp
My family has come here for years! The duck is delicious 20$ for a whole duck, the pork is yummy as well! Must come in and try it out, it's too good not to

Yelp
This is a pretty unassuming joint on Broadway right in the heart of Chinatown. Although they are really more known for their duck and bbq offerings, this day I was on a mission for some tasty Is the Bánh Mì. The prices here are pretty good so I took home all three of Lien Hoa's selections and sampled a piece of each. There three picks are: #1 Vietnamese Special (pretty much cold cuts Viet-style) $2.50 #2 Roast Pork $4.00 #3 BBQ Pork $3.25 So, although the bread wasn't as crispy as I would have liked on the outside, it was super fresh. The upsides of the meal were the #1 sandwich (arguably the best I've had in down) and the plentiful fillings. I mean, there really is a lot of meat and vegetables in each sandwich so that's a plus. The downsides (for me) was that the bread didn't have a crust up to my standards, and the stems of the cilantro (I think) were way too tough and long and seemed to flow out of the sandwich with every bite like that magician's scarves trick. Overall all though, great little spot and I will return to try the BBQ.

Yelp
They sell turkey at thanksgiving for $43.00 (tax included). You can request to have it chopped for your convenience. It is actually good, taste almost like chinese fried chicken for non turkey eaters. Meat is very tasty and tender.

Yelp
Upper tier bbq pork banh mi. Bread was fresh and they weren't stingy with the meat. BBQ pork had lots of flavor and the sandwich cost like $3.75. Lots of places to eat in Chinatown but definitely worth a quick stop to maybe split a banh mi and head to the next snack.

Yelp
I love this joint. It's a really weird little mish mash of a place mainly dedicated to take out roasted meats. Their BBQ Pork is killer and like $9 or so a lb. they sellfresh noodles and their Banh MI is divine, fresh made to order . Their french bread is crusty and soft on the inside perfect texture. They also occaisionally sell organic asian veggies & fruits. Their Taro Boba won the Official 2008 & 2009 Los Angeles Chicana Boba Tournament that my sister and I host through out the year. Seriously it's our favorite Taro Boba.

Yelp
Sandwich was better than expected. And I got some ribs, too, all for $4.73 tax included! Going back for another lunch sometime.

Yelp
After reading most of the reviews, no one mentions the BBQ Fried Rice! It's the most delicious that I have tasted so far. Try it!

Yelp
Recently started to eat their crispy pork which has just the right about of saltiness, fattiness, and crispiness to it!!! I can eat it alone or with plain rice or the french bread that they also sell. BBQ pork is also good here too, but I still prefer the crispy one!

Yelp
The butchers are very friendly, and I really like their hot takeout dishes. My family has been getting Salt or Soy Sauce chicken here for ages, not to mention the roasted skin pork. Very good prices, and you can get fresh baguettes for your bahn mi sandwiches, and large flat rice noodles. They sell traditional Chinese fare as well, like intestine, and bbq sausages, or bbq chicken wings. Please don't be squeamish: you can get a roasted pig's head for $2.00 with as much meat and cracklin as the other parts of the pig, but for much less. It is...my favorite thing to get there.

Yelp
The BBQ pork over rice they have is great! The boba I've had there lately has had a little bit firmer texture than what I've had when I posted about it in my original review, but the drink itself is still very good.

Yelp
Stopped in for a water whilst on my walking field trip of Chinatown. They have some produce but mostly what seems to be the appeal is the the roasted duck and pork, all of which are prominently hung for your pre-purchase viewing.
