Udon Favorite Yume Ga Arukara Opens Second Location in Boston | Eater Boston

"Founded in 2012 as a Jiro-style ramen 'dream workshop,' this ramen spot cultivated a deep relationship with its regulars, drawing loyal customers from the local area and beyond; its founder, Tsuyoshi Nishioka, later moved to Japan in 2018 to expand the brand." - Valerie Li Stack

Less than typical Japanese flavor ramen. The server was very nice and polite. The cook, however, is very stupid. He told me that I can only take a picture of my ramen and not other’s. Why would I take pictures of other’s order? I stopped taking pictures and just watched him assemble precooked ingredients. It made me lose my appetite and so got very critical on tasting his cooking. I ate less than half the ramen and I can’t really finish it though I’m not full. There’s something missing that I cannot pinpoint. Maybe it would taste better if the cook is Japanese. It’s like he’s not enjoying what he’s doing. I don’t really like taking pictures but for a boring place that makes you wait long for your simple ramen, why tell someone to not take pictures? Yes, they take too long to assemble precooked ingredients. It was not worth going to. We took a long walk from the station going there and there are only 7 seats inside a cramped and hot place. It was good that we got there during opening but they open too late for lunch. Not good to go on a summer. It’s really hot inside since its just a kitchen full of hot boiling soup and a bar. I wanted to go out as fast as I can. This is definitely one of the worst experience I had in my Japan travel.

Honestly one of my favorite hidden ramen spots in Tokyo, little off the beaten pass but totally worth the trip! Yume is a great comfortable space to order as big of a bowl you could possibly imagine. The menu and ordering are so unique and make it easy for anyone to order. Never had mayo on ramen but man that was a great choice.

One of the best jiros I’ve had. Soup had a deep umami that permeated through the whole bowl, wasn’t too fatty, wasn’t too salty. Pork felt clean, not super fatty or super lean. Noodles chewy but firm.

amazing food and atmosphere! the owner is really cool and you can tell a lot of heart and soul goes into the broth and chashu, you can also write your dreams on paper and they read it aloud on their IG live!

Recommended to me by a friend as the 'best jiro ramen he's ever had'. I'm glad to say it didn't disappoint. There was SO MUCH RAMEN but I cleaned the bowl. That good.

Great food and nice service. If you like ramen you should cheak this place out. The portions are large so you get alot for your money.

The serving size is really big, but it's too salty and fat to be enjoyable all the way through :/

Not terrible, definitely not anywhere near the top though.
