The nine most-anticipated restaurant and bar openings this fall in Las Vegas | Eater Vegas

"At Area15, I read that Rise — An Elevated Bar Experience will be a cocktail bar built around a ride that lifts customers 131 feet in the air for seven minutes for a 360-degree view of the city, and riders may bring a cocktail or nonalcoholic beverage aboard from a full-service base bar called Oasis." - Susan Stapleton

Google
This was fun. We did this for multiple reasons My nephew's 21st birthday, my brother's anniversary, and we got my dad to go up .. So here's the scoop - you go to Area 15. There's no entry fee to get into the area 15 . So then you can buy tickets at a little kiosk or online like i did my tickets were $19.00 each and then if you want to buy a drink to take up in the lift ride then you go to the bar and purchase a cocktail/beer soda that's a separate charge . We all had a blast the experience was fantastic. My niece had taken me and a few others just a few nights earlier so I was excited to share the experience with family. After the ride , some of our group went into the MEGA MART while my bestie and I explored and went in the music area where we put on a headset to listen to music of our choice and had fun cocktail 🍸 I'll try to post photos .. Area 15 is a must visit if you like a little crazy fun ..

This "ride" was AMAZING!! In my opinion it was the only thing worth a visit to Area 15 for!!!! We had a VERY small frozen margarita, while it was good it was $19 + tax and tip. The bartender was not friendly or helpful AT ALL! The guy who controlled the ride was VERY nice!

Google
Omg I loved it even tho I was scared to look at the view I still enjoyed it the workers were really nice also.i did t want hem to take me down and ruin it for others Vegas don't owe me nothing

Google
Came here for the first time on vacation, online it’s advertised for $37 per ticket for Mega Mart but it’s $60 per person inside. I booked the Lift off Bar outside, the bar was closed outside And drinks are not included as advertised. I paid $40 for two tickets and didn’t get to attend the attraction due to them stating it’s 4 minutes in the sky as that was not advertised as well, which there’s no point in being in the sky for 4 minutes without a drink. Huge disappointment I would not recommend!

Google
Had an amazing experience!! Ride is about 10min long you are able to take drinks purchases at the liftoff lounge. The ride is slow and relaxing great views of the city the ride host was very nice took our pictures. Family friendly and safe! I would recommend this as a great option to see the city in an open air observatory :)

Google
Must try dole and Pina colada, both are non alcoholic drinks but delicious. Only 6$ per drink. It's affordable and delicious! The waiter there is super nice. Other mixed drinks like margarita or the lift off drink is good too. Alcoholic drinks are less than $20 Depending on time, can be very crowded. Pretty empty around midnight For the Omega mart. But there are a lot of adult bar areas which means only 21+

Google
Definitely worth doing once, fun date night idea! Worth the view!

Google
Worth the ride for the price. There is NO BAR on the ride. You must buy your drinks at the bar b4 getting on. Oh, a bottle of water is $10 because it comes in a metal bottle that can be reused. But still!

Yelp
Liftoff is in Area 15 where there are many other activities as well but I only came for this and had a limited schedule so couldn't explore more. I've been on dinner in the sky in another city which was a bit similar only this was shorter. Sunday after Thanksgiving was a less busy day - a friend and I had our ride to ourselves. I want to say the prices for drinks were a lot more expensive than advertised (we paid $60 for just 2 drinks - they were ok but not worth it). The ride was ehhhh ok for what you get but if you've been on similar in other states - it's ok to skip and only do the high roller - I did both for fun. I'd have been fine to pass it but we had a nice time, staff were cool too.

Yelp
Liftoff Bar & Ride was pretty cool. When we were there, we had a weather alert for Thunderstorm & Sandstorm warning. But after a few hours, the weather cleared up a bit and we were able to checkout the ride. Everything in your pockets needed to be placed in the provided lockers. You could take a drink up with you if you bought it from the bar. Pretty cool views of the surrounding area of Las Vegas. Unfortunately, the operator helped put the required safety harness on my camera, though it was on backwards so my camera was at a odd angle. Oh well. He did help.

Yelp
The concept seemed like it would be fun but I guess the employee just wasn't feeling it tonight. We went at about 5pm and he seemed so bored and annoyed, it killed the vibe.

Yelp
This was a pretty cool experience. It was included in the Area 15 pass and we were happy to check it out. There's a bar at the bottom and you're able to bring your drink the lift. It's a decent sized circle so a big group can fit. I want to say the whole thing was maybe 15-20 minutes? You do a few slow circles at the top and get a nice view of Vegas.

Yelp
Fantastic views, affordable prices, informative staff and a nice drink! Liftoff Bar & Ride is a must try experience that our group really, really enjoyed. The pricing was more than fair, we had a great time talking with the staff and great "helicopter-esque" views for a fraction of the price.

Yelp
Mikaela was awful. She honestly made the whole experience dreadful. We had purchased the large drinks and according to the bartender, it was a special if you got those and you got free entry for the tower. The bartender told us to go tell Michaela that we were coming to get on the tower and wait for us and she told us we could get on the next one so I had to go back over and tell the bartender. Then we came to get on the tower we told her we didn't have tickets because we did the drink special. She said what drink special? We stated the one with free entry and slammed the door on us and then came back and was very rude. When when left she was giving us dirty looks. I gave her my drink back and said it was not worth it. Very unpleasant for a high price

Yelp
This observatory ride was fun but definitely not my favorite experience at Area 15. We visited the Illuminarium on Aug. 26, 2023 without even realizing that Area 15 had so much more to offer. The Lift-Off ride is hard to miss, so we were curious and decided we would return to try it out, so we came back on Aug. 28. There isn't much info available on their website about the logistics of the ride. We weren't sure whether they switch out riders in certain increments (e.g., every 20 minutes), what time the ride shut down for the night, etc. However, we still purchased tickets online and decided we would inquire when we visited the other Area 15 attractions. We discovered that you basically just walk up to the ride and wait your turn. There's no set time for the ride to...lift off. (See what I did there?) Our timing was perfect as a group was getting off as we approached the ride. There was only one other couple present around 8-something o'clock at night. Safety first. Buckle yourself in, secure your cell phone in the neat little rubber lanyard they provide, and then slowly ascend. The ride doesn't go up as high as it appears to from the ground. I was hoping we could see the sphere from the top, but nah. The ride does rotate so you at least get a 360° view. I don't recall how long we were up there, but it seemed sufficient. The view is nice, but again, you're not very high up. Our hotel room was probably higher. They have a bar directly next to the ride and even allow you to bring your drink with you, but as specified in their rules, they don't allow intoxicated persons to ride... Lol. I didn't order anything though. Beside the bar is an enclosed courtyard with the bean bag toss game thingy, a birria food truck, and some seating. They were having a weekend block party both nights we visited. Nothing huge but pretty cool.

Yelp
We went to Area 15 for date night and checked this out. You order a drink at the bar and then get into line. The drinks are overpriced but hey, we had to cheers in the air. We went on a weeknight and there was 2 other people in front of us. They sent us up with 5 people and one staff member. One person in a separate party started to panic a bit so we lowered back to the ground so they could get off. We then went back up and enjoyed 5-8 minutes in the sky. It was a cool experience. Tip: wear secured shoes: otherwise you will have to take them off. They have lockers for your items.

Yelp
They served my drink in an aluminum cup with a paper straw! I love to see an eco conscious business! Despite the Vegas heat, the open patio felt in the 70s with shade and mist fans over the seating and bar.

Yelp
FEAR. We all have experienced it at some level. Fear holds tremendous power but you know what's greater than fear, is overcoming it. You can Forget Everything And Run, or you can Face Everything And Rise. The future really does revolve around the choices that we make, and what we do now changes everything. LiftOff is a new attraction at AREA15. This is not a fast thrill ride, it's more of a gentle lift that ascends up to 100 feet above ground level. The ride in itself is quite unique and offers a chance to experience a 360 panoramic view of the surrounding area. As Dale Carnegie once said, "Do the thing you fear to do and keep on doing it... that is the quickest and surest way ever yet discovered to conquer fear." Once I got on the ride, the fear of heights all of a sudden came out of nowhere, and there was no turning back. The ride doesn't have a harness, what's holding me securely was a seatbelt. It takes about a minute to reach 100 feet and once you're up there, the ride rotates for about 5 minutes giving you a bird's eye view of AREA15. You'll also see a glimpse of The Strip. This ride was a little scary for me, I went during a time when Vegas was still encountering strong winds. There wasn't anyone else on the ride but me and the attraction operator Cara, and we both felt the shake. If you can imagine an upside down pendulum, that's how the ride felt like against the wind. It may not be a big deal to other people but the fear was real. As soon as the ride descended, I felt a sigh of relief. At least I know now what it's like to be up there, and seeing things from a whole different level was an awakening experience. Just a note: Any loose items like wallets, keys, and bags must be placed inside the lockers. Unless you want to take photos with your phone, they will give you a lanyard. Also, if you happen to purchase a drink, they do have cup holders on the ride.

Yelp
I enjoyed it but my girlfriend didn't care for it. I bought a margarita flight that was terrible. I ended up drinking it by myself because nobody else liked it. The ride itself was fine but once is enough. We won't be going back.

Yelp
Pros: What a fun experience. We went in the daytime, but I bet nighttime would be amazing. Cons: None I can think of.

Yelp
This isn't something I'd go well out of my way to do - but I had a bit of time to kill before the NYE party at Lost Spirits I was there for, and I'd known from my previous visit to Area15 that there was a secret drink menu at Oddwood, one of which gave you a free Liftoff ride ("free" other than the drink was $22, but still, regular drinks here all being $18+, that's still a great deal). So I had that drink (not bad), then I tried the ride at a "discount". (Of course, then I also bought another cocktail at the bar here while I was waiting, so joke's on me there as far as the "discount" went. (Actually, the namesake "Liftoff" cocktail here was probably the best cocktail I've had from a bar inside Area15 so far, though I still wouldn't really recommend it at *$19* for any reason other than you're already waiting here to go on the ride.) I was definitely a bit proud of myself for making it to the end, as I am *absolutely* terrified of heights, and you are absolutely just dangling off a chair with 100 feet of nothing below you... but it is a pretty nice view of the strip (well, the west half of the strip - the strip itself blocks your view of, for instance, the sphere), also a great view of the mountains off to the west, and it rotates slowly so everyone has an equally good view of everything. I'm just annoyed I didn't see until I'd already gotten buckled in, that they have drink holders for each seat built into the table, so I could've taken the drink up with me instead of chugging the last bit as the previous ride was being lowered. (Or you know, gotten another one - probably would've helped with the fear.) Also slightly annoyed I didn't think to wait another half hour or so - I imagine it's *quite* an impressive way to see the sunset.

Yelp
Cool outdoor venue with a ride. Nice decor and a good drink menu. No food but you can bring your own. There's a good truck opposite side. I ordered a mojito and a canned beer. A bit pricey but when it's hot outside anything will do. The ride was fun and priced reasonably. Great views of Vegas.

Yelp
Had to stop by again at night to see the lights soooo much better at night in my opinion. Always fun to do highly recommend! Views are truly amazing.

Yelp
Liftoff was an awesome experience - I'd definitely recommend checking it out! Parking at Area15 wasn't too much of an issue for us. The ride was about 15-20 mins long. It takes a minute or so to get to the top and then rotates slowly so you can get some great views of the strip before it starts descending. There are holders for drinks. They provide a small locker to put belongings in, and they even give you little cell phone holders to place around your neck (the holders were a bit annoying and kept getting in the way of taking pictures/videos when you're at the top, but good to know they're there for safety and to protect phones). The drinks by the nearby bar were a little pricey, but I was pleased they had a non-alcoholic option available for those that don't drink. Overall, a really cool spot to check out when in Vegas!

Yelp
I love this little ride. It is located in area 51 outside. I knew that I wanted to do something that would give me a bird eye view and a night time view of the strip. All illuminated at night and I did not want to pay the price for the link which is 30 minutes for starting at about $40 and all the way to 65 if you want to open bar. I just wanted to view which it was accomplished here. For 15 and you can also bring your drink for the ride

Yelp
My husband and I were recently in Las Vegas. Each time we go, we like to go somewhere new. I love great views so I have had Lift Off on my radar for quite sometime. The small outdoor area of Area 15 that is allotted to Lift Off is actually quite cute. It all has sort of a steam punk feel and they were playing new wave music when we were there. They had a small bar and comfortable places to sit. It was a hot day in July when we were there so they had misters all around. We were able to find a seat that was shaded and not too hot. I ordered the Lift Off signature cocktail and it was quite good. My husband ordered the mule. I had thought about getting advance tickets online, but am glad I didn't. We arrived and paid $10 each and only waited about 10 minutes or so for our ride. That was about enough time for the bartender to make our cocktails, and then we were on our way. We were there in the late afternoon and there was only one other couple on the lift with us. They have a locker area where you can put your things. Maybe because it wasn't crowded, I did not have any concern about my things being stolen. I went on the lift with only my drink and my phone. They also let you use lanyards that keep your phone attached so you don't drop them. Anyway, we went up for a bit...probably just 10 minutes or so, took lots of photos, sipped our drinks and enjoyed the view. I wish it had been a bit longer, but I really enjoyed myself. I don't think it's something I would do often, but definitely good to go once. I probably would go back if we came with friends next time so that they could experience it as well.

Yelp
Last night we went on Liftoff and had the best experience! Zander was super kind and helpful! Definitely recommend!

Yelp
Stopped in this spot on a hot Vegas summer afternoon while waiting to go see a show and what a fun vibe! There was a dj playing, misters keeping it cool and tasty drinks available at the bar. The bar tender, Haley, was great and took exceptional care of our group. Top notch service, fun and atmosphere all around!

Lachelle Y.

Yelp
No. I was never contacted back. The website requires you to send a message to schedule a reservation. But no one ever called or emailed me back.

Yelp
Great cocktails and ambiance. We visited during the day and the views from the top were great. I can imagine at night would be epic! Super fun experience and highly recommend if you're in the area.

Pam L.

Yelp
All I can say is they need a better system. You buy your tickets and then get in line.. only to find out you are handed drink tickets to get you drinks and then you have to wait in line again. Waiting again with your drink in hand! Of course you're going to drink the drink you are suppose to be enjoying on the damn ride. Then you go on the ride with no drink in hand! Ugh! There is also a person that stands in the middle of the ride. And wow as well! Not friendly at all! Will not be returning to this attraction EVER!! Now irritated and not enjoying the experience.

Erin H.

Yelp
Lift off--what a rip off!!! Tiny cocktails for $20? The view is nice but this thing is way overpriced.
