Hello, Brooklyn! It's everything a hipster cocktail bar should be, but done so well that I can't find a reason to complain.
Drinks were diverse, contemporary and well executed. I've had worse at some of the best cocktail bars in New York, Seattle, and SF.
Service was efficient, friendly and helpful, but he had to run to the restaurant next door to get an egg, which seemed odd since there was a refrigerated case right behind the bar.
There was a DJ on a Monday night! The room was essentially empty, but he was still putting his heart into it, and it was totally appropriate to the vibe of the space - fun tunes but so unobtrusive that you could forget he was there if you were having a conversation.
The interior is of course the big draw. It has the feel of a classic fern bar with lots of cozy nooks to secret yourself away. There are several dozen vintage lamps hanging, but the lighting is still appropriately soft.
We didn't eat, but if ordering from the adjacent street food restaurant without leaving the bar were an option, this would probably knock the Daily Planet off the pedestal as "my bar" when I'm in Vermont.
