"You could bring just about anyone to Lighthouse, and they’d have a good time. Most of the food skews Mediterranean, with plenty of great vegetarian options like sprouted hummus, burrata with toasted sourdough, and grilled escarole topped with tahini (a Lighthouse classic). But the menu doesn't always stay on theme. During brunch, you can also get chilaquiles, ceviche, or an egg sandwich. "“Lighthouse is more like Lighthome, for me, and if you live in the near vicinity of this restaurant, I bet it is for you, too. Somehow, it feels like both an extension of my living room, but also an escape from it and the pile of laundry I have been avoiding folding. "In the summer, our default still-haven’t-made-a-plan-but-want-to-be-outside move is Lighthouse. What it lacks in views (the big picnic tables outside look out onto the street), it makes up for in incredibly good food, incredibly nice servers, and an excellent oyster happy hour that runs until 7:30pm nightly.
