"Lighthouse has all of the prerequisites for a good diner - booths, endlessly replenished weak coffee, and servers with gruff who somehow still make you feel at home. Don’t expect the food to blow you away, but both the omelettes and pancakes are pretty solid." - Jess Basser Sanders

Dog-friendly breakfast with a view? Yes, please! Lighthouse Cafe is the perfect spot to start your day in Newport Beach. The view of the harbor is stunning, and the staff are incredibly friendly — we felt welcome the moment we walked in (and so did our fluffy little Pomeranian!). We ordered the Eggs Benedict, avocado toast, and those dreamy cinnamon sugar pastries — crispy outside, soft inside, and just the right amount of glaze. I highly recommend trying them — they’re not your usual dessert! The coffee was smooth and came with rock candy for stirring — cute and tasty touch. Dog-friendly patio, peaceful atmosphere, great food and service — we’ll definitely be back.

Truly a great place for indoor dining. Welcoming, nice view, and a wide menu. The food was perfectly cooked and made all the needed changes to please my taste. Unfortunately can’t say the same about takeout. Got the wrong sides and the lobster roll was tooooo oily 🫢🤢

First impressions mean the world especially after planning today's trip two weeks inadvance, surprisingly our family's veteran dad on father's day. After a very early, long, hot boat trip his selected this restaurant two weeks prior as soon as we arrived around 1:30pm the walk in group before us (3) was seated immediately. As we were told it would be a twenty five minute wait by Kylie disappointed and exhausted we (3) sat and waited in the heat. Seeing two groups (3-4) after us get seated instantly it was very insulting. I walked back to the check in and after speaking about the issue with Chloe she was very apologetic and very accommodating finding us a seat fast. With that being said the food was fantastic from taste, freshness, and consistency all our meals were nothing less than superb. Even our waitress Tyla had wonderful customer service and attentiveness. The first face people see can make or break a restaurant/company based on how they treat their customers. Huge thank you to both Chloe and Tyla for turning our whole experience around they should both conduct customer service training for the other staff. We come to New Port often although we live 120 miles away 2hrs and 20mins we would gladly make this one of our new favorite stops as long as long as great customer service is there.

Google
Service was nice and atmosphere was good. I can see yachts outside. Parking is available with around 4.5 dollars per hour in the park parking lot using parkmobile app. The food was good but slightly expensive for me. Ahi tacos were $21 (in the picture) and I felt a little bit pricy even if their great flavor. Avocado toast was $18 and it was good but a little bit pricy too. Also, they do not have price for coffee in the menu ($5). If weather is nice, it would be the good place and Newport Pier is accessible by walk. Overall, satisfactory choice for me except price.

Google
I didn’t make a reservation, so we had to wait for two hours. The server was not friendly and didn’t explain the food so well when we asked. If you expect good service, this place might not be for you. Also, the server for our table tried to take away our dish before we even finished, which was really frustrating. On top of that, the food wasn’t worth the two-hour wait. To be fair, the vibe was great as the weather was so nice at that time.

Google
Great atmosphere, food and service. The dishes were quite delicious and there was an interesting selection. Our server was Mary and she was amazing!

Google
Fantastic experience here! Lobster roll was perfect, beignets were out of this world. Environment was incredible as well, it felt calm but still lively, only a few blocks from the beach but also felt in its own world. Service was great from start to finish, and I really couldn’t ask for a better place to be the day after Christmas. Truly a gem!

Google
"Wow! This beachside gem has it all. Stunning views, seriously good food, and an amazing atmosphere. The perfect trifecta for a memorable dining experience. You won't be disappointed!"

Sushmitha B.

Yelp
The ambience and the views are great!! Food is also Great and they we able to accommodate indoors in the last minute. Carlo was really helpful.

Yelp
first ill start with the appetizers, we got clams and calamari, calamari was very good, crispy, amazing texture, clams, good overall, both were a little on the warm side wish they were hotter. entrees, chicken&waffles, fish&chips, mahi tacos, all pretty mid in my opinion waffles soggy, fish and chips mid, mahi tacos solid, i think the appatizers were the star of the restaurant

Miguel S.

Yelp
It was my first time having breakfast here at the Lighthouse Café. I made reservations for brunch because I wasn't so sure if it was going to be busy. But I'm glad that I made reservations. I tried their caramel latte and their vanilla latte and they were both very delicious and lots of flavor. And for breakfast, I had a seafood omelette inside the omelette. It was lobster and shrimp. It was definitely so delicious and I've never had something like that before. Especially not for breakfast. I was able to sit upstairs and the view was amazing because you're right by the beach and if you sit closer to the edge, there's a couple of tables available and you can enjoy the scene while you enjoy your food. Every employee that I interacted with was amazing, from when I was checking in to my reservation, to the waiter and even leaving, they were very nice. I really enjoyed the food and I enjoyed the coffee very much, I would definitely be coming back here again very soon with some more friends.

Yelp
Nice place, maybe go during summer when it's brighter out. It's a small place and difficult to find, you also have to pay for parking if you want to park close. Food was ok, I went for brunch, it's good not great and not for the price. Service was fast and the staff was friendly.

E O.

Yelp
Overall food was good. The Staff was very friendly. Reason for 3 stars: Waffles were very chewy and almost as if they reheated it that it was too stiff to bite off. However the chicken that it came with was great. Keep in mind the view is not of the ocean but the Newport channel. Has more of a diner vibe.

Ann N.

Yelp
First time here and as I like lighthouses, he picked this place for a nice brunch for us to enjoy on Valentine's Day. We had reservation so we were seated right away. It was windy and a bit cold outside so we asked to be seated inside. It's a cute concept, a restaurant inside a light house. As it's valentine's day, you had some ppl just casually dressed having brunch and some who were dolled up for a nice brunch. Initially, we felt a bit rushed as soon as we sat down for our drink orders when we really were just given the menu. Not sure if the waiter thought we were regulars to know what we want. At the end of our meal, we were not given a full bill of what was ordered and our total, but was just told of our total while the waiter waited for us to pay him that total. Thought that was odd. He asked if we wanted our printed check after he scanned our card and of course we did. Wanted to make sure we were charged correctly. Other than these 2 things, all were ok. We had a nice brunch. The lobster roll was so good and I could have had another one. The Benedict was enjoyable as well. Nice flavors. And you cannot go wrong with mimosas. From we saw, the place was very clean. There were seatings inside, outside and there's upstairs too.

Yelp
We stopped by and gave it a shot. Ample parking and its by a park and on the water viewing the boats. There is seating inside and outside. The dining area is circular on the inside. Carlos and Francisco, the servers were accommodating and prompt. We ordered the Fish and Chips, a clam chowder and the Caeser Salad. The Caeser Salad was bland, so i returned it and got the Chicken and waffles- which was good. It was 3 waffles high and 2 pieces of chicken. The syrup wad tasty and rich. The fish was crisp and fresh, as were the fries. Wifey had a Bloody Mary. It was great- it had celery, salami and other trimmings. They have two menus - brunch and dinner. We will return soon...

Michelle H.

Yelp
Our server Carlos was amazing! He was on top of it with asking if we were good and filling our drinks. We were seated inside and had a great view of the water. Mahi tacos 4/5 was delicious but the fish was a bit dry. The salad on the side was surprisingly good Lemon Blueberry Pancakes 4/5 super super sweet. The dish is more like a sweet treat or dessert! Chicken & waffle 5/5 everything went well with one another and it wasn't too sweet and savory!

Kimberly D.

Yelp
This was our second time having breakfast at Lighthouse Cafe. The view of the harbor is lovely and the service is good. Parking is plentiful, but it is metered (use pay station or app) but only a few dollars an hour. We've tried the blueberry lemon pancakes, the breakfast burrito, and the steak chilaquiles. All were very good. There were several tables open so we didn't wait to be seated despite it being Sunday morning brunch time.

Hannah K.

Yelp
Pro: food is so delicious The view is awesome. Service was okay~ Con: not free parking. Restroom is outside. Overall great for brunch meetups. The view is great!!

Maria E.

Yelp
I signed up for their waitlist on Yelp and it took about an hour to get seated. The food was okay. I had their specialty for that day - salmon eggs Benedict. It's a bit loud.

Thuy N.

Yelp
I like this place have a parking lot, however, they get really busy on the weekends because of their location. Then you end up with street parking. Vibes and scenery 10/10, food was like a 3/5. It was ok, but you're going there for the overall atmosphere/ experience. I love that once you're done eating you can just troll along the beach. They have a nice little play area there for the little ones and the water is shallow and no waves.

Stephanie D.

Yelp
Went here today to get a gift card and some beignets of course! I actually called a couple days ago and asked if they have gift cards available and if they would mail it to me, to which the lady said yes but we would absolutely not mail it. Not sure why the attitude as I've called around other places and they mail it to you, but a simple no would be fine. Anywho! Drove down with my kids and made a day of it. Went and got my gift card and ordered my beignets and man were they delicious! So airy and light with the best drizzle of cream. The ladies who were helping me were the best! I forget their names, maybe Maddie? And another lady with braces, super nice.

Andrew J.

Yelp
We came in on a weekday for brunch and we were seated immediately. I made a reservation but honestly, it wasn't necessary. We sat outside which had an amazing view of the beach and Newport harbour. It was so nice and relaxing. The menu options were extensive but the lobster mac and cinnamon sugar biegnets. Even though the lobster mac was supposed to be a starter, the portion was generous. It was cheesy, rich and had plenty of lobster chunks for the price. I enjoyed it. The beignets were great too but weren't the typical ones I'm used to. They were flaky and crispy which was interesting. I'll definitely come back for the good food and ambiance.

Gerina O.

Yelp
I came on a Sunday afternoon with a large party that had a reservation. Parking in the lot was relatively easy, costing 3.75/hr. Two hours was plenty of time. It took a little while for them to get our table ready, but we had a really nice spot on the second floor. Service was friendly and efficient. And we got our food in a good amount of time. I ordered the lobster mac and cheese and cinnamon sugar beignets. The mac and cheese head a good amount of lobster in it and was a good portion. It was super cheesy and very delicious! The beignets was fluffy and sweet in the best way. I appreciated how light and airy they were and also how many came in an order. This restaurant always seems quite busy but I would definitely recommend giving it a try. It has really great beach date vibes!

Mona A.

Yelp
The waterside view at Lighthouse Cafe in OC is gorgeous, but the food didn't match up. The chicken and waffles were soggy and way too sweet, and the coffee was pretty bland. The coconut shrimp tasted frozen, which was disappointing. On the plus side, the steak chilaquiles were actually really good and saved the meal. Service was slow but friendly--they were busy, so I get it. Overall, it's a nice spot for the view, but I wouldn't come back just for the food.

Johanna V.

Yelp
This restaurant is so cute and has the perfect location next to the Newport bay. My friends and I ordered an array of items. Our favorites were the lobster Mac, the calamari, and the beignets. Mimosas here are always a hit and the service is amazing. Our server was incredibly helpful and kind and provided us with exceptional service. A few notes: My friend thought the lobster rolls were too buttery to touch which made it difficult to eat. I say the eggs in the chilaquiles were under cooked, but that is my personal preference as I requested medium hard and they came more sunny side up with the white still runny.

Priscilla T.

Yelp
A hidden gem in Newport! I have been wanting to check out this cafe. Love the outdoor seating by the water. Bloody Mary's were tasty and all the seafood was fresh. Range of comfort dishes worthy of an upscale restaurant is so hard to find. Service wasn't the best. Not uncommon for wait staff to switch mid-way during service. Our replacement waitress wasn't super and sort of left us near the end. She made us pay the bill early, mumble some sort of excuse so she wouldn't forget us later, and forgot our to-go coffee. Would definitely come back and try again!

Carola S.

Yelp
i love the Lighthouse. I came here for a dinner and brunch. The location is beautiful. While you wait for your table, you can walk around the walk path and enjoy the beach views. Parking is easy too. You do have to pay per hour, but the price is not bad. Restrooms are outside the restaurant, kind of like in the front side facing the parking lot. The service is great. The servers were so kind for both of the times I went. For dinner time, we went to celebrate a birthday. We got steak, fish, pasta, drinks, beignets, and it was all delicious. For brunch, I got fish and chips and it did not disappoint.

Michelle L.

Yelp
Hadn't been here in about 10 years and went to grab breakfast on a weekend and was promptly seated an hour after opening. Our servers were prompt when needed and food was still of great quality and extremely filling as I remembered. Can't wait to put this spot back on regular rotation for weekend breakfasts now!

Carree W.

Yelp
Came for brunch with my girls while visiting. Got the lobster roll and it was delish! Had a mango margarita too and it was good. Service was great! Our server was nice and funny! The vibe was nice specially it being by the beach!

Bernadette T.

Yelp
This a cute little restaurant in Newport Beach! It has a nautical theme and interesting building shaped like a lighthouse. Being right next to the water, it has pretty nice panoramic views of the marina. I came here on a Saturday afternoon to celebrate a friend's birthday. They have a neighboring parking lot but requires payment (about $4/hour). The inside of the building was on the smaller side, but it never felt crowded, which was nice. We made a reservation and they did not seat us until our whole party arrived. The food was pretty good - the menu had a good amount of seafood and non-seafood options as well. I got the chicken sandwich. The chicken pieces were a bit on the smaller side for my liking, and the bun kinda fell apart, so I had to eat it with a fork and knife lol. But I was still satisfied with my meal overall. They gave our party a free plate of beignets since we were celebrating a birthday! They even decorated it with sprinkles and a candle. It was a very generous birthday treat!

Kayla U.

Yelp
Here are the 5 Star FAPS: Food (F): Everything was tasty! The chicken for the chicken and waffles were more like the patty in the chicken burger than what you normally expect. The star of our meal was actually the FREE beignets that you can get with checking in on Yelp! They were soft, hot, and perfect pillows of happiness on a cold fall evening! So good, we forgot the photo. Breakfast/ lunch menu ends at 4 PM before dinner menu starts. Ambience (A): It was beautiful to sit on the upstairs balcony as the sun was setting on a cloudless day. They have heaters outside to keep it warm as the air is very cold and crisp in the fall. Perfect for some time with friends, a partner, or family! Parking (P): Paid parking lot with ample parking. I believe it was around $3.50 an hour? Service (S): Everyone was friendly and attentive!

Laurel T.

Yelp
Saw their happy hour menu and decided this was the perfect place to kick off my birthday month I came on an absolutely gorgeous day (this would be a beautiful place to come Watch the sunset) Obviously I picked to sit outside. I loved people watching and looking at the gorgeous sailboats (and cute dogs walking by) I did make a reservation so I didn't have to wait even though there was a good amount of people here. But it wasn't packed. It didn't look like it was necessary for one I started off with some appetizers. I ordered the chips and guacamole and their taquitos (which let me tell you, the taquitos were absolutely amazing. Both were on the happy hour menu) And then I had to try a couple different drinks. I had the espresso martini and their strawberry mojito Also ordered their steak and eggs and their burger and fries. I do want to note our food came out extremely fast. Which is always a plus in my book The atmosphere was perfect. I loved the location and the inside was beautiful with great open lighting (I didn't eat inside but I did take a peak in there) They offer a few perks like a free order of beignets for checking in. Which this is a huge order. AND, I have spent some time in New Orleans, which everyone knows it's known for their beignets. These were better than any I've ever had. They were soooo light and airy. When I told the waitress, Wendy, she said so many people say the same thing. So check in and get some free ones They are dog friendly too if you want to bring your pup The menu boasts about having vegan and vegetarian options it is very wheelchair and handicap friendly. I didn't have to walk far or go up Any stairs. I do have a handicap sticker though. But even without it you don't have to walk far Their happy hour is actually one of the best that I've seen And they also have a military discount Dinner menu starts at 4 PM. So today was lunch / brunch / happy hour. I definitely want to come back for their dinner Our waitress, Wendy was so friendly. Everyone here was. I believe the person that checked on us a few times was the manager. I love when managers are very hands on. Wendy did tell us a few things. Like they only have the upstairs patio open on the weekends. I asked if you have to walk up any stairs and she said no, they have an elevator. So I definitely have to come back on a weekend for that great view from upstairs. They also had a lot of heaters and fire pits going. It blows my mind this place doesn't have a higher rating. I didn't have one single complaint

Aziz Z.

Yelp
Went here for brunch. Managed to accommodate a large group us on a side by side booth inside. The staff was very patient and nice. The food was good but it's a bit expensive. $20 for pancakes. I had the fish tacos and they were good. It's conveniently located next to a large community park. We had the kids orders in first. Parking is paid. Once they ate we sent them off to play while the adults could eat in peace. I'd go here again.

Erick J.

Yelp
The food, the view, the service, the people, the vibe can't go wrong at the beach right? I had a great start To my morning. Lighthouse Cafe, it gets crowded so we came at about 8 am. Walked across the street with a nice walk on the beach, couple hours parking is about $5. I'm going back for more pics and more information about the menu. But to be honest, some places you want to keep for yourself and this is one of those gems!

Lita Y.

Yelp
The food was amazing! Me and my family especially enjoyed the lobster mac and their special apple cinnamon french toast.

Andrew N.

Yelp
Came to this beachside restaurant for brunch and made a reservation via Yelp. We sat inside but we're still able to see the ocean. Beignet (5/5): Don't forget to check in on Yelp for a free order. I thought this was as the perfect snack. I was very fluffy. and crispy. The sweet condensed milk and cinnamon made me feel like a kid again. Seafood Omelette (5/5): They were definitely generous with the seafood. Great if you love seafood. I enjoyed my time here.

Cheryl C.

Yelp
Ive been wanting to try this place simply for the view of the dock. It's a little bit small and quaint indoors, with limited outdoor seating. It was also pretty chilly due to being by the water. I noticed they do have heat lamps which is good. I ordered a Bloody Mary which came with pepperocinis, cornichons, and salami slices. It had a nice kick to it. I also order the fried cod fish which came with slaw and fries. Over all, the meal was presented well and tasted fresh. Hubby order the chicken and waffles which came as a chicken sandwich between 2 waffles. The syrup was rich and spicy. Not sure if we liked that combination. My hubby sent back the Caesar salad because it had anchovies in it. Clam chowder was really tasty and thick with bacon bits. One thing I did notice was the limited menu as we went during lunch time. I think I would prefer dinner as there is more to choose from. I shall return to see what dinner has to offer.

Martina A.

Yelp
Very good vibes. The food was overall pretty good, but nothing special for birthday other than beignets.

Fresh M.

Yelp
Brought my parents here for their Anniversary Lunch and I'm so happy that I did! Plenty of parking beautiful marina. Greeted right away fast service . This review is for Ignacio R. He was absolutely fantastic! Best service to make my parents day special. Ignacio was delightful. Thank you so much. I got the lobster roll $29 tasty My mom got the fish and chips she kept saying it's so yummy. My Dad got the mahi tacos which was best one on menu. Restrooms located outside of the restaurant and no it's not a real lighthouse but feels like you're dining in one. Fire pits and outdoor seating available but I sat inside with beautiful views. Will definitely be back

Kelsey A.

Yelp
Went on a Tuesday evening and it was still busy at 6:30pm. They had outdoor seating with fire pits and heat lamps available. It was a bit chilly but the view was nice. The patio runs right into the harbor. Would suggest going at sunset. Had a few drinks to start, both very delicious. The scallops were cooked perfectly. I had the clam chowder bread bowl and I wasn't impressed. But I'm a stickler for a good chowder. And the serving size was underwhelming. However my friend got the wagoo burger and it was huge! Large portion of fries and a decent salad. Everything on the menu looked good and you're paying for the view for sure.

Abel A.

Yelp
What an experience! This is our new spot for breakfast/ brunch. We weee able to walk in Monday morning with a reservation and kinda surprised that there were already a good group of people. Our servers Wendy and Carlo were simply amazing. Very attentive and both were able to help with a birthday ice cream that early! Drinks were very good but a HIDDEN GEM were the beignets! So delicious and 100% better than Disneyland! Chilaquiles were on point with flavor BUT personally my steak was a little over well done, I wish they would have asked the level of doneness for the steak but the flavor made up for it. I'm looking forward to being back and also trying their happy hour menu.

Wadih C.

Yelp
Great views, great food, great drinks, great service! Have been here a couple of times!

Lexus W.

Yelp
Bomb!!! Pregnant and loved the food. Eggs Benedict was delicious and their potatoes are PERFECTLY SEASONED. I need that seasoning please!!! lol. Blueberry Ricotta Pancakes are a perfect addition for the savory dish and are just the right amount of sweetness. Not too sweet at all and the pancakes are nice and dense.

Caroline L.

Yelp
This was a cute little stop as we explored Balboa island. We sat outside and service was prompt and attentive. I had the steak chilequilas - I really enjoyed the meal and felt comfortable as someone with celiac as the menu was labeled with GF for GF options. My friend had the chicken and waffles and enjoyed the way the chicken was fried. A little pricey for what it was!

Elo S.

Yelp
We came to Lighthouse for a birthday celebration. We didn't have to wait for a long time, we were greeted right away. Our server was Ada, she was friendly and pleasant. She had smile on her face and was patient with us since we had questions about the menu. Food tastes really good no complaints. Everybody in our party was satisfied with the food and portions. This place is walking distance from beach which makes perfect to burn the calories. It can crowded by noon and I would recommend reservations, if you don't like to wait. I will be back for sure since I really liked the food and ambiance of this restaurant l.

Dana M.

Yelp
Recently went here to celebrate a friend's birthday! The servers were helpful and checked in on us often. They were very sweet to bring us beignets to celebrate! The views are very nice here, as well. We got the breakfast burrito and lemon blueberry ricotta pancakes. I think the food is just okay. The I had the burrito which was solid, but not the most amazing breakfast burrito I've had. Overall, a nice experience. I'd recommend coming here for the views and vibe.

Yessica C.

Yelp
Such a cute place right by the water! Went here over the weekend with my friend and enjoyed patio seating. My favorite item was the Mini Tuna Tostadas they were fresh and the avocado was perfect ripeness. Service was excellent the waiter was super kind and quick to accommodate. The wait was long, but the Yelp waitlist reduced that. So definitely would recommend that or reservations. The food was good, but not my favorite (aside from the mini tostadas) The lobster roll was a bit dry and I have had better and the lobster mac was good, but nothing particularly extraordinary. Will come back to try more of the menu items because of the location I would like to see it at night :)

Taylor T.

Yelp
Great location great food !! Super cute on the water will definitely be coming back Great location great food !! Super cute on the water will definitely be coming back

Marisol V.

Yelp
I've been coming here for years. The view is lovely, so beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. I order the same dishes every time, avocado toast with a side of country style potatoes that never disappoints and a delicious French toast(no longer available, wish they bring it back soon). Service is always nice and welcoming.

Darrell P.

Yelp
We left Dana Point Harbor at 0630 hours and arrived at Newport Harbor at 0838 hours. We docked briefly at the guest dock right in front of The Lighthouse Cafe. I was assisting another Aventura Sailing instructor, JAK, with his ASA 106 course. It gave the students a chance to stretch their legs, grab a coffee, have a bite to eat, or step ashore before continuing the voyage to Santa Catalina. JAK had mentioned that The Lighthouse Cafe served a good breakfast burrito, so naturally, I had to give it a try. It's not every day I get to dock in Newport for breakfast. JAK also noted that The Lighthouse made a great avocado toast. As I placed my order and waited for breakfast, JAK had the students practicing touch-and-go maneuvers, pulling up to a side dock and docking the vessel. We were aboard "Marilu," a beautiful 42' Beneteau. The Lighthouse had a pleasant crowd both upstairs and downstairs, with customers spread throughout the restaurant and out on the patio overlooking the harbor. The hostess was friendly and helpful. Along with the breakfast burrito, I ordered a coffee. I appreciated the generous pour, though it was filled to the brim--so much so that small amounts of coffee leaked over the edges onto my hand, which was uncomfortably hot. I've got the blisters to prove it! HA! The breakfast burrito was well-loaded, and for $16, it should be! I've been to places where a $15 burrito is filled with $5 worth of filler--where's the beef? - Big Aloha! Food: 4 Ambiance: 4 Service: 5 Value: 4

Viviana P.

Yelp
The wait time to be seated was very fast since I put my name on the waiting list online. The service was horrible. It took someone over 20 minutes to acknowledge us that we were there. The gentleman that was cleaning the tables was nice enough to bring us some water. I was able to see him talking to our waitress telling her that she had our table. The two groups that got seated after us we're greeted and served before us. The food was great. I would totally recommend the blueberry pancakes.

Leonard S.

Yelp
The Lighthouse is a perfect spot for brunch. We decided to sit outside to enjoy the scenery. Our server offered us the cinnamon sugar beignets. We decided to try the clam chowder, mahi mahi tacos & a lobster roll. We also had a pitcher of mimosas. The food was so delicious but those beignets were to die for. Our server was super friendly & helpful. It's always to get good service. I suggest putting your name on the waitlist prior to arriving since they get busy.

Andy K.

Yelp
Had a very poor experience here. Service was fine but the food was mediocre. Not worth the parking cost. Steak and Eggs Asked for medium rare and it came out raw/rare depending on the thicker part of the skirt steak. Some of the potatoes were raw in the middle. Scrambled eggs were overcooked and had brown edges. The English muffin was the best part of this dish. Breakfast Burrito Flavor was decent but it was covered in garnish and sauces. Had to eat it with a fork and knife to avoid having saucy hands. Bacon was extremely salty. The tortilla was dry. Salsa was the best part of this dish. Chowder in a bread bowl Tiny sourdough bowl with a very small amount of soup. The bread was good. The chowder was mid. 13.99 is atrocious for the serving size. Classic Breakfast Eggs came out well but the sausage was extremely salty. Overall, this place reminds me of a hotel restaurant. Mid food, contemporary atmosphere with ok service. I heard other tables around me complaining to one of the supervisors. Will not be back.

Yelp
finally made it to lighthouse after almost a year i had saved this restaurant back when we were here at the marina park to watch the newport christmas boat parade i mean, who doesnt love a lighthouse! just like my girl laurel, i came here to kick off my birthday month! made rez via open table for sat brunch at 2pm after the manager checked us in, he said "happy birthday" and walked us to our table in the patio area. our table was in the back which was perfect, bc ofc i had my dog stroller! ignacio, was our waiter during our visit. he was nice and friendly. the service did seem a bit slow, it looked like he was manning the entire patio section. regardless, he was present and attentive. ordered: CRISPY CHICKEN SANDWICH Spicy Slaw, Sambal Aioli, Pickles, Spring Salad, Fries MAHI MAHI TACOS Cilantro Lime Coleslaw, Chili Aioli, Queso Fresco, Spring Salad i really wanted to order the calamari but we were kinda still full from our light breakfast the food was really tasty. the chicken sandwich was def different, it had like a sweet and sour spin. delicious! welp, then it started to sprinkle then rain .. we took all our stuff and moved to the table over we were kinda done eating anyways so it was fine so glad they had the patio heaters on! beautiful views, def recommend this place! parking: i believe there is street parking but we parked in the lot across the way. its a paid lot. you can pay by using the app or the use the pay machines

Yelp
Everything here is phenomenal, from the food to the drinks to our server Mary's exceptional hospitality. Ordered an aperol spritz, crispy calamari, seared ahi tuna burger, and a spaghetti cioppino which were delicious. The tuna steak was very thick and seared very well and paired well with the coleslaw and avocado. However, the highlight was definitely the spaghetti ciopinno. There was a nice mix of seafood: clams, mussels, shrimp, and mahi mahi. The sauce is very flavorful and paired really well with the aperol spritz. Definitely coming back again soon.

Yelp
Lighthouse Cafe is okay, not bad. They don't take reservations on the weekend, so my tip is to join the Yelp waitlist. If you are parking at the restaurant, my tip is to download the ParkMobile app beforehand. Note which zone you're in (there are signs around the parking lot), and then add your license plate number and car model via the app. For 3 hours, we paid $11.25. Service was meh for our party of six adults and two kids. It also took quite a while to get our food, a little too long, to be honest. We got there at around 12:30 p.m. on a Sunday, and ordered around 12:40 p.m. and didn't get our first appetizer until 1:00 p.m. Our meal came around 1:15 p.m. I ordered the Steak Chilaquiles, which was all right. Views are beautiful, of course. You're mostly coming for the ambiance, lol.

Yelp
Came here recently for a bday party. It was kind of hard not being able to sit down until everyone was there but I get why they have that policy. The calmari and oysters were really good. I also liked their roasted artichoke especially with the dipping sauce The view here is beautiful.
