Lighthouse Coffee Roasters & Cafe

Lighthouse Coffee and Roasters is one of the many independent coffeeshops in North Kingstown. You can find it on Route 1 on the northbound side of the road, as if you're driving up towards Providence. The coffee and service are excellent. The sandwich menu has a lot of choices, with some gluten free options available. Staff were knowledgeable about allergens and what ingredients were in the baked goods. It was a comfortable place to order food. One thing about Lighthouse is that they have a book club that meets every first Sunday of the month at 4 PM. Places that host third space events are wonderful additions to a community. You can tell the locals like it because there are a lot of police and fire patches adorning one of the walls. Support your local business. There are so many little coffeeshops in this area that you can gently explore all of them. Lighthouse deserves your curiosity, and your appetite, too!

I was in store today to purchase coffee beans for my husband and a friend that I’m gonna visit in California. The gentleman at cashier was very informative since I personally don’t drink coffee so I needed some guide. Not only that, he also was very kind to give my little one an espresso coffee cup with a lid (empty cup no coffee, she’s energetic enough) which made her day! She was so excited that she was officially getting a ‘coffee’ from a cafe! What an experience! (Plus that’s the cutest cup ever) Coffee cake was delicious! Will definitely be back for more calories! Thank you!

I was excited to find this place while up here on an overnight trip due to the fact that they offer a pour over coffee. The House Blend certainly did not disappoint. It was very flavorful and made for the perfect tasting coffee for my trip back home! The only reason I didn't give this business a 5 star rating was due to the fact that there was only 4 bags of coffee on the shelf for purchase. I was really hoping to take a bag of the House Blend home with me but there were none available even after I asked the staff. Seems kind of odd to be so low stocked for your customers.

I ordered a French Toast Latte, and it was delicious. The coffee was very flavorful. I shared a cinnamon scone with my husband. The scone was very moist inside. We will definitely visit again.

I had a very good experience about one year ago and was in the area so I thought to stop by today for coffee. When I arrived, there were 3 customers waiting for their coffee. I waited at the counter for almost 4 minutes without any acknowledgement from the two employees working and talking about personal matters. Not terribly busy at all. I decided to leave. If I were the owner of this business, customers should always be acknowledged even when busy, which they were not.

This is hands down the best cafe I’ve ever been to. The staff is incredibly nice and attentive. Every single thing I get here I dream about when I get home. The chai is to die for and the pastries leave me wanting more!! So delicious, I love this place. Definitely a hidden gem!!!!! 10000/10

My wife and I have been sort of regular customers since the opening. We have been very satisfied with our food/ coffee purchases in the past. Today was different. My order was for a pork roll sandwich and avocado toast. I received a chorizo sandwich ( which I wound up eating) but my wife's avocado toast should have never left the kitchen. The avocado was brown and actually black on some of the ends. Serving this to a woman who actually grew up in the tropics where avocados grew in her yard is a insult. I knew the owners were not there for the day. The staff offered to make me another but we asked to be reimbursed in which they did. Please for local business sake try to be more consistent with the product. One bad experience goes a long way.

Elegant local coffee roaster and cafe. Atmosphere is simple and relaxed... Not pretentious at all. Comfy seats to enjoy your absolutely delicious brew. Menu has the usual coffee options, including in decaf, plus a a few yummy breakfast and lunch selections. Ample parking.

Quite possibly one of the best light roasts I've ever had. Came into this humble coffee shop expecting a basic black coffee but when you see the bakery, you know they're legit. That white chocolate, raspberry scone was so tasty and soft and moist inside. But the star was that pour over. Pour over so good I bought a bag and received multiple compliments from TSA as they had to check my bag. Pour over so good parents were complimenting me at a PTA event. Pour over so good I'm day dreaming that aroma and flavor. Pure perfection on that light roast my friend!

So sadly, I didn't take any pictures however, I will say that this place is a hidden gem because I had no idea it existed until today. We had a military spouse event here and I'm glad I went because I discovered that this place makes an amazing French toast coffee. I cannot wait to go back and have another one because Service was amazing. They're seating inside and it has a very chill vibe. I think the hardest part was parking and getting out of the parking lot. If you like flavored coffee, then you need to stop by and have some here..

Definitely one of my favorite coffee shops in the area! I love all the variety of interesting food/drink items they offer. Pour overs are definitely the hot order here, I haven't tried it yet, but as the weather cools down I definitely will. I love their flavored cold brews. They had a neapolitan one in July and the chocolate peanut butter one is also tasty. They aren't insanely sweet and yo9u can actually taste the coffee as well. Food wise they have a small bakery case, the banana bread is tasty! My favorite thing to get here is the chorizo breakfast sandwich. They use a ground chorizo patty which is delicious. I also saw on their IG they have started making their own croissants. Perfect for a breakfast sandwich. They have a solid variety of toasts and lunch sandwiches as well. The employees are always friendly and work hard to get your order out as soon as they can. Not a ton of table seating, but they do have essentially a counter and more couch/cozy seating spots.

This is a popular local spot! The seasonal strawberry matcha was fantastic, and the homemade croissant toasted with butter was so delicious! There is cozy seating indoors, with a bookcase for a cozy cafe feel. Service was quick and we love that they roast their own coffee!

Some lost luster over time. Little , "what are they thinking?" Issues. A small cappuccino with added shot (for total of 2 shots) is MORE expensive than a large Capp that comes with 2 shots. Tiny protein balls the diameter a little larger than a quarter is $3 each. I know this because ordering other foods will require the same amount of time as reading the first section of the Wall Street journal. And the cappuccino? Big bubble foam without texture, steamed to the temperature of lava. But...it's still a local place, so find something you can love and support them. Personally I'm going to search out some other locals since I'm in town every two months on business.

Ordered bagels and breakfast sandwiches to go. They look great, but taste like Fabuloso. You can smell it on the tops of the bagels and taste it so strongly that we couldn't even eat them. I've experienced this at other restaurants and I'll never understand why they'd use scented cleaning products near food. So unfortunate.

Chic yet cozy spot with a fantastic selection/menu. Hands down best cold foam I've ever had! My lavender latte got me through our chilly busy day just perfectly. Next time I'm in the area, I must try some of their lovely food options - the locals tell me I really missed out this time!

When asked to order breakfast for the corporate leaders meeting for our office here in Quonset, I decided to once again use Lighthouse Coffee Roasters & Cafe Robert and his (family) team put together a lovely spread of fruit, pastry, bagels and cream cheese- along with their delicious coffee and also delivered it to us. Serendipity strikes. I was on my way to get coffee and an egg sandwich at a spot in NK and they didn't answer the phone for my take-out. So I pulled a u-turn and found myself in front of LightHouse Coffee. Wow, as a coffee snob, it was with true delight to watch them make coffee ONE CUP AT A TIME. The taste difference is clear. This is one of the finest cups of coffee I have had in a long time. Elizabeth was friendly, smiling and helpful. I believe her sister in law owns the place (whom I met briefly.) If a great cup of coffee is what you are seeking - head straight to Lighthouse Coffee for a reminder of how good a cup can be. I wish these nice folks great success. Paul

Friendly and hardworking staff. Place was super clean including the bathroom. Coffee and hot chocolate tasted great as did the breakfast sandwiches. Great service!

i went here this morning with my boyfriend we head about it from a friend! it was absolutely amazing, i got avocado toast & he got a blt and we got some hashbrowns! it was amazing the bread was so so good. we will definitely be back soon, def a hidden gem

My boyfriend lives right around the corner from Lighthouse, so it's quickly become one of our new faves! The drip coffee is miles above competition, and they always craft each drink to perfection. Our true favorite, though, is the breakfast sandwiches! Served freshly made with two eggs on a bagel or croissant, they are far beyond better than anything else in the area. The staff is always pleasant, the pricing is fair, and the shop itself is decorated so nicely and makes a great place to enjoy your morning coffee. If you haven't been to Lighthouse yet, you're missing out!!!

Absolutely fantastic wraps and sausage egg and cheeses a little bit on the price your side if I could give them a 4.5 I would but overall fantastic food the banana bread is a little dry, but when you have a little water balances out Nutella toast is out of this world. It is made on shlty bread, but the shlty bread makes it taste even better. A lack of strawberries pisses me off sometimes, but overall I did give it a 9/10. Their location is very nice and the inside is very well furnished. Service is great. Seven minutes tops to get your food. I don't drink coffee or tea, so I can't talk there but overall the food is very very solid and would highly recommend them. People are also very nice.

I have only been here once and I cannot wait to go back. Their pumpkin expresso cold brew was unbelievable and I am not typically a pumpkin kind of person. I also grabbed the last Halloween surprise cookie and it was delicious. I highly recommend!

I love the coffee here! The staff is friendly and their breakfast sandwiches are really good. Not to mention they have a rewards program you can join to get money off your order (5$,10$, etc) after reaching a certain amount of points. The chairs & couches are really comfortable too

Great spot for breakfast or lunch, made fresh daily items. Had the blueberry muffin and a chicken salad sandwich which were excellent! Try the special coffees and teas, individually brewed, today i went with a raspberry hibiscus iced tea and it was awesome. Great service and seating area.

Espresso is good and overall low key, local atmosphere. The only have a couple of vegan milk issues just fyi. Service was quick and owner was friendly.
