We had the pleasure of being guided by Joey during our Aurora Chase tour in Abisko. On the first night, the weather conditions were unfortunately not in our favor and we didn’t get to see the Northern Lights. However, Joey remained professional, positive, and fully committed in trying to find clearer skies for us throughout the tour. What we truly appreciated was the initiative and sincerity — Joey personally suggested that we contact the admin team to arrange a discounted redo for the following night. We decided to join the tour again the next day, and thanks to that opportunity, we were finally able to witness a truly beautiful Aurora display. It was an amazing experience and definitely the highlight of our trip. Thank you, Joey, for your outstanding support and dedication to ensuring guests have the best possible chance to see the Northern Lights. We would gladly join another tour with you again and highly recommend him to anyone visiting Abisko.

I went on the 4-Night Customisable Aurora Holiday Jan 12 - Jan 16 and it was amazing! From beginning to end, the people of Lights Over Lapland made the trip so special. When planning it, Rachel was in constant communication and she was so nice and supportive to someone who hadn’t traveled solo before. She gave me the confidence to book it. And I’m glad I did. My tour guide was Gavin and he was great! Very knowledgeable about the area, the Lights, and photography - all things that helped make the trip unforgettable. In addition, he was very nice and understanding and helped me navigate in weather I wasn’t used to. Every day was detailed and immaculately planned. I never felt concerned about the logistics - it was very calming. The day-excursions I chose were the Sami/Reindeer open air museum, Dog Sledding in Abisko, and the Landscape Photography tour. All unforgettable. Can’t recommend this company enough. Thank you!

We stayed at one of their guest houses for several nights, seeing aurora every night! We did activities during the day such as the Ice Hotel, Sami Village and Morning Hike. All the excursions were excellent! The house was fantastic, and fully stocked with food, plus recipes that could be made with the provided food. We could even see northern lights from our living room or out the door! What made the trip extra special, though, was our guide Sara. She is a gem! She picked us up in Kiruna, and was then our guide/companion for the rest of the trip. She was so informative, and her enthusiasm for both the area and the aurora were contagious! She was there whenever we needed her, always willing to go the extra mile. She even went out in the freezing cold to retrieve a lost glove! We found the whole trip to be so easy to organize from start to finish. Their email support beforehand is great. Rachel or Jeanette always responded quickly to any questions we had. I highly recommend Lights Over Lapland, and ask for Sara to be your guide!

We booked 4 tours with Lights over Lapland during our winter vacation in Abisko. The company is very professional. The vehicles were all new and clean and the provided equipment is also of great quality. 5 stars also go to our guides. They all put great emphasis on the safety and happiness of the group. Joey was our guide on the Aurora chase and we had lots of fun. Joey entertained the group with jokes and stories and took very nice photos of everybody with the aurora. Marco was our guide on the photography tours. We took beautiful pictures with his help and he found the perfect photo spots in changing weather conditions. Cecilia was our guide on the morning hike and was very knowledgeable about the region, flora & fauna and local history. We even saw two moose. Thank you to everybody for the great experience!

We had an absolutely wonderful experience on the Morning Hike with Lights over Lapland, and a huge part of that was thanks to our incredible guide, Matteo. From the very start, Matteo created such a warm and relaxed atmosphere that made the whole tour feel effortless and enjoyable. His knowledge of the area, the landscape, and the local environment was truly impressive. Throughout the hike he shared fascinating insights about Abisko , the nature surrounding us, and the unique beauty of the region. It felt like we were discovering hidden stories behind every corner of the landscape. Matteo paced the hike perfectly, making sure everyone felt comfortable while still allowing us to fully enjoy the scenery. He also took us to some absolutely breathtaking spots that we would never have found on our own — truly magical corners of Abiskothat made the experience unforgettable. One detail we especially appreciated was how thoughtful he was in making sure we captured the memories. Matteo kindly helped take photos of us at the most beautiful viewpoints, which meant we could relax and enjoy the moment without worrying about missing the chance to document it. Overall, Matteo made the entire experience feel special, seamless, and genuinely memorable. His passion for what he does really shines through, and it made our morning in Lapland all the more magical. We couldn’t recommend this tour — and Matteo as a guide — more highly. A true 5-star experience!

We joined the Ultimate Aurora Photo Adventure with Lights Over Lapland on February 22nd, and we were very lucky to have Marco as our guide for the evening. Quite honestly, he was the best guide we could have wished for on our final night in Swedish Lapland. From the start, Marco made sure we would have the best possible experience. He was always supportive, incredibly professional, and patient with all our questions. What really stood out was how dedicated he was to making the experience special and unique. He carefully chose the right spot to maximize our chances and ensure we could fully enjoy the Northern Lights in a beautiful setting. Throughout the entire night, he kept us informed about conditions and what to expect, which made the Aurora chase even more exciting. On top of that, we had a very nice chat while he was driving us to the viewing spot. He was extremely friendly and easy to talk to, and that personal connection truly contributed to making the whole experience enjoyable and relaxed. The Northern Lights on our last night were magical. We joined the Morning Snow Hike in Abisko National Park organised by Lights over Lapland and Matt was our guide. He arrived early to pick us from our hotel then when we reached Abisko National Park, he ensured that the rest of the guests who were joining were all accounted for. During the snow hike, he stopped frequently to share stories and the history of the location. He was also very attentive to ensure we trekked safely in the snow as some parts were quite slippery. He also suggested great spots to take photos and he took great photos for us too! Thank you Matt for the wonderful snow hike!

The tour was amazing. We were very lucky with the weather, and our guide Joey made sure we found the best locations to see the auroras and made the best possible use of the conditions. The fire and the warm lingonberry juice made everything feel even more authentic and memorable. Everything about the tour was 10/10. Joey was super friendly, funny, and lovely, while also being very helpful and professional with the camera, taking many photos of us without hesitation and making the whole experience even more special.
