The 38 Best Restaurants in Santiago, Chile | Eater

"A colorful facade, red- and white-checkered tablecloths, and paintings covering every inch of available wall space make Bar Liguria an endearing space for traditional Chilean comfort food with a side of bohemian vibes. Sopaipillas (classic deep-fried breads made with pumpkin) served with fresh pebre (traditional Chilean salsa) are a great way to start the meal before moving on to traditional dishes like ossobuco stewed in black beer or pastel de choclo chilote, a classic sweet corn and beef pie. Loved this place! The decor and vibe of this place is really special. Ask for a table upstairs to be near the bar and/or library. Food was fairly priced and they had several wine options. Was not the best food in the city, but the service was excellent. And the kitchen is open much later than most places in the area (at least during the week), so you can have a later dinner and enjoy the space. Highly recommend if you are visiting Santiago and/or find yourself in Lastarria.

Wow, this place was awesome and really hit the spot after a full day of travel. I got to hit up the restaurant with a new friend and we got to split a lot of the menu to try everything! The pisco sour was a great start to the menu and was dangerously refreshing. The vegetables were very fresh and my favorite appetizer was the baked scallops. The gnocchi were well cooked yet still soft, and I love the added pesto to the marinara sauce. My asada polenta was tough to cut but incredible juicy and as a whole it really rounded out the meal, but would be too heavy on its own. The vibe of this restaurant, including the wall art, was great and the surrounding area was very cute. I would definitely return, and maybe get the same thing on the menu!

Decent but not amazing food. The scallops were on kinda small but tasted ok. The beef brisket was quite tender but rather dry. Crab cake was quite tasty with a generous amount of crab meat (it was more like a crab gratin) Drinks were good and service was friendly (even as I tried to communicate in my broken Spanish). And a bottle of water cost 5000 pesos. For this quality of food, I think the price was on the high side.

We ordered beef brisket, pork ribs, crab cakes, and scallops. I have to say, the appetizers — especially the crab cakes and scallops — were excellent. However, the beef brisket was quite dry and hard to swallow, and the pork ribs were similar, rather dry and lacking flavor. Overall, the experience was acceptable, but below our expectations.

This restaurant looks great — just not that great. The cocktails are priced beautifully, and the fried fish came with a surprise extra ingredient… a hair. Not a big deal, though — maybe that’s just part of the local ‘texture.’

As an American 🇺🇲 in Santiago 🇨🇱, if you are looking for a bar where you can sit and enjoy a couple cocktails 🍸, a glass of 🍷, a 🍺, and some good food, please stop in and enjoy Liguia. The bar is old school. The vibe is a 'proper' adult bar with no pretentiousness. Mable floors and great tunes in the background. Really, stop in and enjoy!😎

Great place to visit while in laStarria, Santiago, Chile. It is a hybrid for local Chilean food and Italian dishes. The seafoods were Wonder, well prepared and properly seasoned, and the most important of all, they were fresh! Also, love their version of the Sopaipilla, great texture.

We had a very nice dinner in Liguria: The food was very tasty, the selection of the food was big and all our dishes were mouthwatering. Including great wine recommendations - of course Chilean! The restaurant is also very cosy and we were enjoying a great evening.
