Excellent all round. From the initial greeting & being sat down, to the service, the food, the drinks. Then the Turkish tea & sweet treats. Genuinely impressed & happy to have visited this restaurant. Too busy enjoying the food and company to take many pictures, but I got one photo of my meal. The image doesn’t do it justice, you have to go there and really enjoy it yourself. Fantastic place.

Likya Turkish Restaurant in Golders Green is a real treat! The food is consistently delicious, and I especially love their chilli sauce—it adds the perfect kick. The lamb ribs are absolutely to die for, tender and full of flavor, and there’s a great selection of fresh salads to complement the meal. While it’s slightly on the pricier side, the quality and taste make it worth it. Overall, a very tasty meal and a spot I’d happily return to.

The best Turkish food we had in London..we have become regulars and travel from South Hampstead just for this restaurant. The only disappoibtment is that they don't give complimentary tea and baklava as they used to do in the past and don't do fixed menus anymore and they have increased their prices, hence the 4 stars. Other than that the food is the best Turkish you can get in London and the service is always very kind and friendly.

We came from Canada just today and by great luck we found Likya Turkish Restaurant just 3 minutes from our hotel. Great food and amazing service! Very friendly and polite team. If you want to try Turkish mezes & Turkish raki, this is the place ! We had mixed cold & mixed hot meze plates & raki (Turkish style) today. We will be back there for the kebabs for sure ! Guests' plates looked & smelled amazing !

What an awesome place. Celebrated my birthday with 18 guests. Arranged for cold starters share plates and hot food share plates. Everyone loved it. Staff was great looking after you.

One of our favourite London restaurants. We both had the mixed grill and it was incredible, the meat was soft, tender and tasty. The service was great, highly recommend a visit here! Guaranteed to be a delicious meal.

Great place, just a short walk from the Coach and tube station. Have been in for breakfast a few times. Make sure you're hungry! Excellent, friendly service 😊

I am BEYOND disappointed in Likya. We’ve been coming here since I was a child - I’m 30 now. My elderly mother passed by earlier today to get us two Adana kebabs. Upon getting home, I’m furious to find the following issues:- She was overcharged (one should be a combination kebab, as it’s half chicken half Adana) yet she got charged for two Adana’s. Chicken costs much less so why was she charged full whack? (She was even told by the staff that they won’t charge full price). The portion sizes have HALVED, they used to give a portion of rice/bulgur PER kebab - not anymore as we got one small portion of bulgur ONLY for both kebabs. The kebabs don’t even come with a tomato and green pepper that’s been grilled! Furthermore, there should be a portion of salad PER kebab - they don’t do that either, as we received one small salad between two kebabs that cost close to £35. In comparison, if I walk 2 mins down the road from where Likya is, I can buy two LARGER portion kebabs, that BOTH come with rice, bulgur AND salad PER kebab. It even comes with rice pudding at no additional cost - and pay around the same amount of money than these two kebabs cost at Likya. The packaging - terrible. No two ways about it. The kebab is tossed into a metal container with nothing to soak up the sauces, such as rice/a layer of toasted bread, no tomato, no pepper. Nothing. Just meat in a container that is almost designed to suck the heat out of your food before you’re able to get back home. (She was home in 20 mins, food was ice cold by then). You lost some of your longest standing customers today - and that’s coming from Turks. Likya has gone so downhill in the past couple of years it begs belief. Shameful. Will never be coming again, and never be recommending you to others either. Just look at the picture. Would you pay £35 for this????? Yaziklar olsun!!!

We went to Likya for a weekday lunch as it was only steps away from my daughter's apartment in the Golders Green community of Metropolitan London. This was my first experience with Turkish food, and that's one thing I enjoy about London is the wide variety of international dining. We started off with some of the freshest pita I've had, accompanied by a humongous bowl of creamy tzatziki sauce. For the app, the family shared a Karisik meze cold appetizer sampler. Our entrees were centered on doner (lamb). We had the Yaprak Doner (shredded lamb served with rice), Betyi (seasoned spicy lamb served on a skewer on top of pita and served with fresh vegetables), and mixed doner (shredded chicken and lamb). With all 3 dishes, the meat was fresh, moist, and delicious. The server was very friendly and accomodating (I think he was smitten with my daughter, but in a nice way). I'd also mention that, across the street, Likya also had a smaller branch, more of a bakery. They have a lady who before your eyes, prepares gozleme from scratch at a preparation station. I tried the one with cheese and spinach and it was delicious. For my Miami peeps, I'd equate a gozleme with an empanada. We were stuffed, but we also got excellent chocolate baklava to go back to the apartment with. All in all, I enjoyed my Turkish dining experience with Likya!

Absolutely loved the Atana kabob - the salad that came with it was also so great! I definitely want to come again if I'm ever in the area.

Are you on a low-carb/high protein diet ? Then you should come here, because they offer you just the right dish - amongst other fantastic - more calorie-heavy - options, of course! Anyway, I've been to Likya a couple times now and during both visits, all of my three pet-peeves were ticked: 1) Atmosphere: the smokey grill in the font of the atmosphere creates a warm welcome and the meaty treats on the grill right away make your saliva flowing. 2) Service: the staff has always been very warm and friendly. I asked them for recommendations both times and they readily gave me a great choice of dishes. 3) Food: Very tasty indeed. In fact, I was so happy with my food after the first visit, that I came back with a group of friends soon after. And they also really enjoyed their food. ((If you're with a group, I'd pick the cold meze plate for a starter!) As for the low-carb/high-protein option I mentioned in the beginning - go for the spiced lamb shish kebab - that comes with a huge portion of salad instead of the usual rice! Afiyet olsun!

First visit to this restaurant. Came here for a birthday party. The menu offers a wide choice of Turkish cuisine; the food quality is excellent, as is the service, and very reasonably priced too. The restaurant was packed with diners which says it all. Altogether. a very good experience.

It is a very good restaurant. Don't expect just kebab and baklhava! It has got a large choice of turkish dishes... I took the chicken dices with vegetables...amazing! The portions are huge and the quality excellent. My friend took a very big fish with crisps and vegetables. He wasn't able to finish it! We also tried hummus. It is very well done and it really tastes as chickpeas! The prices are fair enough, and they reflect the quality of the food. Why don't i give 5 stars? Because of the staff. Sometimes we had the impression of beeing not welcomed as costumer as there were those two waiters who were walking up and down near our table, and if you put the fork on the table for a second, your dish would disappear in a breath! And some other times (like when we wanted to order coffe or dessert) they were not listening to us calling or they disappeared. The place has to be more focus with its staff regarding the quality of the service

Likya is a gem and I am so happy to have found it!! It is the perfect place to go when: - You are craving meat -You are very hungry -You want a cosy and warm evening with friends (or without) - You don't want to break the bank And most importantly: - You want yummy food! The hummus appetisers at Likya is very good, it may just be the best I've had in London (this will need further research;). It comes with some really amazing, fluffy and piping hot bread that is just heavenly. I found the tabuleh a bit chunky to eat as I am used to the kind where everything is cut extremely small, and so I didn't like it that much. The stuffed vine leaves were also so-so, but the mitite kofte appetiser was very nice. The hummus and the bread were so delicious though that we were very happy anyway. Likya has excellent doner meat, cut off a huge rotating skewer just like it should be. I ordered the half chicken, half lamb plate and both were delicious although the lamb flavour maybe wins by a tiny bit. I like having the balance of both in my plate though, as maybe an entire plate of either would be too much of the flavour, but they are both really yummy! The grilled chicken here is very good too. You can order it served on yoghurt, which is delicious, or by itself. I wouldn't recommend the musakka, as it was not good at all, but I don't' think that is what most people come to Likya for. They also have a takeaway section, which is very useful, and the service here was very helpful. The decor is warm and inviting and the location is a very short walk from the Golders Green tube station, so score there too. I am already planning what I will try next time I go (which will be very soon!). Love this food, Love Likya!

A perfectly respectable Turkish restaurant. Awesome very impressive sauces that come out with the flat bread. The flat bread itself is first rate. A tabouli like eggplant appetizer was ho hum. Grilled lamb liver on a skewer was quite acceptable - but this dish is marvelous at other places. Grilled fish on a skewer was much the same. However the rock-your-socks-off starters suggests that there is some talent in this kitchen. One plan might be to go for the more elaborate dishes and avoid the grills?

Very delicious kebabs, big portions, not expensive. Make sure you make a reservation during the weekends because its always full.

This is our go to Turkish restaurant as it's around the corner from where we live. From the first time we arrived to our last meal, we have only had great experiences. The staff are very friendly and quick to help. You start off with an assortment of breads and sauces which they will keep replacing for free. I would suggest ordering the hummus to begin as it's amazing (plus, you have all that bread to dip into it!). Next, you move onto the main. You just can't go wrong! My personal favourite is the yogurtlu sis. Creamy, tomato and meat. Nom, nom! And we usually order the Efes beer, which goes perfectly with the food. This is such a fabulous neighbourhood find, where you become part of the family. It's so popular, that even Mesut Ozil was there one evening. And yet, it's not expensive at all. All in all, this is the restaurant you want to come to time and time again.

I can't write about just one eating experience here, as there have been so many - and that speaks for itself more than i ever could! you get looked after from the moment you walk in the door - warm breads and pittas come to the table with delicious sauces (all complimentary), and the bread is so soft and tasty! There is so much choice on the menu - like i said, we have eaten here many times, I have never eaten the same thing twice - and i have NEVER been anything less than delighted with the food you have to finish this meal with a traditional turkish tea/coffee - with which they bring you delicious sweets. i didn't even like turkish delight before i tried the stuff they serve here! this is definitely the best turkish restaurant in london!

Affordable, filling and delicious! Alex and I shared two beers, a cold mixed starter and two mains for £30 (not including tip), and they threw in some complimentary baklava and turkish delight as well! We had to roll home we were so full. The staff were great too. Highly recommended.

The best Kebab ever , so fresh and delicious , nice and friendly staff , great atmosphere and great value . I think everyone who loves kebab , should try this place .

Food is good but not a fan of the serving staff. One of them was a complete smart ass when I asked what the wait time for a table was.

This is a great place has a nice ambient nice staff but is in a hurry all the time though The restaurant has fare prices I have paid £16 for a very nice meal and a drink. The restaurant gives you for free pita bread and two kinds of sauces

spacious space, warm & family oriented atmosphere and good foods for affordable prices! sometimes meat could be dry from overcooking or whatever any reason there, but most of times you can't fail on any choice. also attentive staffs are serving! one star missing from me because of sanitary condition in toilet....well, could happen to busy restaurants but please don't go too filthy.. :( sad for a nice restaurant!

Been here on 3 occasions and each time keeps getting better and better. Their chicken wings are heavenly with a generous portion of rice and chips. It's heaven for meat eaters. Their lamb is very moist, falls off the bone, juicy and tender just the way I like it. Reasonbly priced too, perfect for lunch or dinner. Very filling! Would highly recommend!

This Turkish is one of the best that I have been to in London and the surrounding counties. I went here on a Friday night for a "work get together" and it was heaving, it soon became apparent why. The food, oh where to start. For starters we had sharing platters, that were cooked perfectly and had a great selection. The hummus was one of the best I have ever tasted and I wanted just to get a pot of the stuff to take-away for later. The mains feedback from everyone (18 people) was extremely positive. I always go for chicken shish and I was not disappointed. As a dish I go for be it Persian, Turkish, Iranian and so on, I'd like to think I have a good benchmark to place it against. It was yum yum yum. Cooked and seasoned perfectly. No rubbery just on the borderline of being cooked, it was sooo good. The service was extremely attentive and you didn't have to wait long for whatever you requested. The was a happy buzz about the place of people which made for a great night. The facilities there was immaculate, which is no mean feat on a Friday night. It's not the closest Turkish to where I live, there are about 6 others in between, but it is definitely worth the few extra miles. I have no hesitation in going back here with work, family or the boyff. Top place!

Great restaurant with authentic Turkish food! They just need to improve their Turkish Wine variety....very limited.

Awesome food fresh salad and service with a smile. Get there after 10pm on a sat and you will get a table. Main meals are huge and leave you filled up. Fresh bread good chilli sauce and well flavoured meat.
