Lovely cupcake shop. The cupcakes themselves were ok, not my favorite but not the worse that I've had. I'll definitely come back and try some of the homemade ice cream.

My daughter loved her sugar cookie (don’t let her tired, non-smiling photos fool you) and I got the “Hostess” cupcake — delicious!! It was hard to choose among all the cupcake options. Excited to come back and try something else next time. Staff was friendly and patient while we took a while to choose. Beautiful faux flower wall and seating area!

We ordered a beautiful custom donut cake for our daughter's birthday. All of the staff was so kind and our overall experience was great! We brought in some reference photos and the cake turned out better than the pictures! I highly recommend them and would go again for any custom order! Also pricing was great compared to other places as well.

First, pointed out to the employee there was a short black hair laying on top of the mango ice cream. I ordered the strawberry cupcake - which was moist but the cool whip frosting was old. Also got a cup of the strawberries & cream? Or crunch? Ice cream. For in- house homemade ice cream I was seriously disappointed. It was not very creamy - kinda "grainy" or gritty. I also got a slice of the carrot cake; which looks good but haven't tried yet. To top things off, when I took everything out of my bag, I found a small black spider in the bottom of the bag. I should have listened to my gut when I walked inside; which was saying, "this place smells like it has sewer problems. You should turn around and leave."

We've been here quite a few times and each time we've gone it's always great service and many options to choose from. They keep the place nice and clean and they have a cool picture spot with chairs and some indoor seating as well. Today was a quick grab and go visit for a friend's birthday and thank you gift but it's always a good experience at this location. They are always super nice and helpful.

This is a fun place. They make their own ice cream and per the employee they change up the flavors every so often. The atmosphere was very nicely decorated. They also had a fun array of treats, but I only got the ice cream. If you're in the area I recommend you stop here.

We conducted a blind cupcake tasting and the cupcakes from Lil C&C were the undisputed champs! All the flavors are amazing and change seasonally. I don’t care what month it is; my go to is wedding cake cupcake! Just say “I DO” to the wedding cake cupcake!! ***Don’t forget to get pup cakes for your dog! 5 for $4 - it’s a no brainer!***

I want to give 6 out of 5 stars to this place!!! I have gotten cupcakes and pup treats here a couple times and everything is AMAZING every single time. I love that they make treats for my puppy as well!!! He loves them and they are the perfect size for a special treat for him. I love the cupcakes as well! The flavors are always fun and so tasty. I love this place!

I wanted some cookies to treat myself - and others - so I googled and found Lil' Cakes and Creamery online. It delivered exactly as advertised. Walking inside the bakery was heaven. The smell was cinnamon and sugar and spice and cookies and cakes and . . . well, you get the picture. I got a lot of cookies and they were all very good. The service was prompt and polite and friendly. I will definitely go back. There are some housekeeping issues that prevent me from giving a 5 star review. For example, the counter was dirty around the cash register and the door, upon exiting, was so dirty with fingerprints that it was almost nauseating. Sorry but it was. If the cleanliness issues can be solved, this place would get a 5 star from me.

I happen to find this wonderful place about a year ago and I've been happy ever since. One of my favorite bakeries. No matter what time of day I would go or order, the cupcakes are fresh, moist and delicious. They have different flavors almost every week but they have their usual staples. All options are delicious. They also make their own ice cream and the flavors vary as well but I haven't had it because I'm lactose intolerant but my boyfriend has had it several times and he loves it (he will also eat it in front of me taunting me and sing "I got some ice cream and you don't have none" - a song from an old Eddie Murphy comedy skit). Anyway the cake is not overly sweet including whatever frosting they have paired with the cake. Pricing is decent and the cupcake size is pleasantly a good size given the pricing. I've ordered cupcakes from other places (one place even had their own tv show at one point) and I'm not impressed given the cupcake size, amount of cake and frosting ratio. Also the staff is always friendly and smiling. You do not see anyone on their cell phone or anyone who is having a side conversation while you are placing your order. I would take a picture of my orders but I'm usually so greedy and eat one as soon as I get my order so there isn't any time lol. This is hands down the best bakery ever! Side note - my only "complaint" is that the location in Rockville is located in a shopping strip with limited parking as there are other business there (almost a long strip) so expect to park some distance from the store and getting in and out of the parking lot had its own adventure but if you follow traffic rules and all you will be ok. I usually frequent the Gaithersburg location as it's closer to my home but occasionally I'll stop at the Rockville location since it's in the same area where I work.

This is a real sweet spot in the center of a shopping center that may go amiss. But don't worry inside they have the most incredible gourmet cakes, cupcakes, and a huge variety of ice cream selections everyone will find something they enjoy here! The service is very friendly and quick!

It was my very first time going to lil creamery and it would not be my last. I highly recommend lil cakes & creamy for your sweet treats. The store was clean & so cute customer service was so welcoming. Everything looked and smells delicious I purchased five cupcakes because I wanted to taste the cupcakes befor a make a order for my birthday can in a few weeks. And I was highly satisfied the cake was moist The flavors were simple but yet delicious not overpowering with sweetness. I really enjoy my experience I will return I'm so glad that I stop pass

I've pre-ordered via their website for cupcakes and just recently ordered a doggy cake for my dog's 13th birthday. It's really convenient being able to view all of their items, placing an order and having it ready for pick up! Their cupcakes are scrumptious! Not only are they cute, but they're also rich in flavor. I like that they are super heavy but not too light/fluffy either- a good medium. They have a variety of flavors and I believe they're fairly priced. My dogs enjoyed the doggy cake. It lasted a week or so because they're both small. It's made of carrot cake so you can eat it too haha (my friends tried it). I'll have to try their ice cream next! Side note - great customer service!

Tried this place for the first time 2 years ago and it was cool, nothing special just cool. Decided to try it again and for the most part my opinion remains the same. The service was good and pleasant. I had the carrot cake cupcake (pretty good and the best flavor I had), the cookies n cream cupcake (it was alright), and the hot chocolate cupcake (unique and creative presentation but for the most part it was alright).

I recently tried them just because I was in the area. I wish I would've tried them sooner, the strawberry crunch cupcake was one of the freshest most delicious I've had in a while. It took me back to Sunday mornings at my grandma's house when I was a kid. Can't wait to try their other flavors.

We had a bad experience here. The minute you walked into the bakery it smelled like cleaning agent (either toxic Mistolin or Fabuloso) and when we returned home after making our purchase, coats, clothing, and the box smelled like the cleaning agent. The cupcakes that we ordered were moist and tasted fresh, but we were concerned because we could still smell the cleaning agent in the bakery box where the cupcakes were placed. For that reason, we discarded the remaining cupcakes. I tried to call the bakery to get a refund, was put on hold for over six minutes, and had to hang up ( workday hours), and I have tried to call back three additional times with no answer. I don't recommend coming here until they get their act together. When we arrived to the bakery, it was being managed by teenagers, and we didn't feel like we were given straight answers. One of the issues that we were concerned about was the open plexiglass on the other side where they remove the baked goods. We were not given an answer about whether or not the case was closed at night, and where they stored the baked goods at the end of the day. This concerns us, given the health notice about rodents and insects. We will not be ordering from here again, unfortunately.

Service and price was pretty decent. Kids really enjoyed their selections. I plan to return.

3.31.22 The cupcakes are beautifully decorated and displayed in the bakery. I purchased a salted caramel for myself and a peanut butter for my husband. I LOVED mine. Frosting was fluffy, the cake was moist, and the flavor was on point. The staff was friendly and helpful when I asked for her recommendation between two flavors. They also sell cake push pops, pupcakes, ice cream, milkshakes, macarons, cookies, and coffee. I plan to be back if I am nearby this shopping center to try their other treats. Highly recommend. Definitely now among one of my favorite cupcake shops in MD.

After getting my first 4 cupcakes from them recently, I came back a few days after to get this half dozen to share with my family. I adore the presentation and the flavor profiles/choices all make me salivate, making it even harder to choose and execute self-control. The workers there were also very kind and patient with giving me recommendations too. Anyways, the cupcake itself were all soft, moist and not too sweet because most of that come from the icing and other toppings. They have an icing to cake ratio that's visually-appealing but can make it hard to have more than one in a sitting (without feeling guilty). I like their attention to detail, like toasting the marshmallow that tops the s'mores cupcake and even making a whole mini cannoli for another one too.

We stopped in for a little ice cream after going to the Montgomery County Fair. The place is very inviting as you walk in. We were greeted and waited on immediately. Ice cream case was a little disappointing to be honest. Seems like an afterthought. Limited choices and not even just plain chocolate. They had chocolate with Lucky Charms? The ice cream was good but not exact what we wanted. Now as far as cupcakes and cakes, wow! Very impressive assortment delicious treats. Very disappointed that the bathroom was closed. Really unacceptable especially to paying customers. If you are looking for ice cream, I would go somewhere else.

I've been thinking of trying this place for a while, and when we ate nearby for dinner, I noticed that it was open. The staff is very friendly and polite and the prices are typical for this area, so we were overall pleased with our visit. We tried a strawberry crunch and a peppermint bark cupcakes, which were both light in texture and mild in flavor. Although the cupcakes were relatively large and fresh, we preferred the ice cream, which had a variety of cake-related flavors. It's a nice little spot with a nice variety of treats (including doggie cupcakes).

The cupcakes here are very good. The best part, in my opinion, is the frosting - super tasty and the right consistency. The best thing here is actually their ice cream, which many people do not know about. I recommend the red velvet - just the right amount of cake chunks and so creamy. Also they have pup cakes for your dog that seem to be enjoyable for my dog. The line can move a little slowly when there are multiple people in at once though; so maybe not the spot for you if you're in a hurry.

I was craving a simple vanilla cupcake and I'm glad I stopped into this bakery for one! It was the end of the day, so I wasn't sure how fresh the cupcakes in the display were. The cake was moist and delicious. Just the right amount of frosting. Next time I'll try one of the other flavors, they all looked delicious!

Delicious, fluffy, melt in your mouth cupcakes. My goodness it was like love at first sight today. I'm hooked. I want more. I got emotional and that's how good it was.

I placed a pick up order online and it was a very simple process. I bought dog treats for my dog's birthday. They lived them!!!

It was my grandsons birthday and I wanted a special ice cream cake made. They did and excellent job. The chocolate cake was delicious. I also, appreciated the fresh strawberries in the strawberry ice cream. I would definitely recommend this establishment.

Just look at the cover photo. How could I not stop by here when I was only a mile away? The huge parking lot was crazy crowded! It's not like this place is next to a Walmart., nor was it pre-COVID. I got myself a chocolate cupcake with peanut butter cup frosting. If you love lots of frosting, you'll love these cupcakes! I like to cut mine in half then spread the frosting all over. I say I'm only going to eat half, but five minutes later, where did the other half go? Oh right, in my belly! I also bought some tempting baklava because you know, baklava! It was $3.99 for two generous-sized pieces. I only ate one. See, I can exhibit self control. Don't ask me where the other piece is tomorrow.

I ordered a half dozen yesterday for my daughter's birthday - she LOVES the chocolate peanut butter one and there was only vanilla peanut butter - not nearly as good. The other one I was disappointed in was the Nutella one. The Nutella one had only a hint of Nutella. The cupcakes were still moist and delicious - much better than Georgetown Cupcakes. Bring back the chocolate peanut butter.

I purchased a four pack of cup cakes today and they were delicious! They were fresh and well priced. Nice to have in the Gaithersburg area.

Yes, the hype is real my friends. After watching picture, after picture of these delectable and scrumptious cupcakes grace the feed of my Yelp friends, I had to take the plunge! It wasn't a toe dip, it was a full on jump in the pool with a dozen of these delicious delights and 5 pup cakes to celebrate my puppies first year birthday. She loved her pup cakes, which are made from carrot and peanut butter flavor. She chowed her pup cake down and was hungering for more. Luckily, they come 4 to a box. As for our opinion, we ordered the Oreo cupcake, the wedding cupcake, the hot fudge sundae cupcake, the red velvet cupcake, the pink icing cupcake, and the chocolate, the caramel cupcake, and vanilla cake with chocolate frosting cupcake. They were moist, piled high with frosting and toppings. They were not overly sweet, but tasted just right. They tasted as good as they looked. Everyone seemed to love them, but one guest said they couldn't really taste the almond flavor in the wedding cupcake. They enjoyed it more as a vanilla cupcake. My favorite so far is the Oreo cupcake. It has that dark, rich moist cake, and yummy Oreo flavor. It took all of my willpower not to scarf it down in two bites, but to eat it more like a lady. True confessions, it never made it past the 5 minute mark. Service was par excellence! I called on the phone, they took my order and credit card information. I called their number when I pulled up in the parking lot and they brought it right out. I would absolutely order from them again in a heartbeat! So my friends, the hype is real!

So you know its real talk when an Elite Yelper changes their review from 2 stars to 5 stars!!! I got a box of 4 cupcakes this time..and 3 out of the 4 cupcakes were fantastic...Im in complete shock!! My box included two versions of their strawberry shortcake cupcakes; the cake portion in both those two cupcakes were simply perfection!!!...soft, perfect texture, perfect density, and flavorful (insert standing ovation here). Their respective frostings were delicious..not too sweet. My box also included a marshmallow "mel-o cream" cupcake, which was a lovely and creative take on that flavor, and the cake portion was also flawless. My remaining cupcake was a red velvet cupcake..which was pretty decent in flavor, however magnificent in texture..but overall pales in comparison to the other cupcakes. So, in all fairness, my first experience did not include any of these flavors, except for the red velvet cupcake. I also decided not to try any of the macarons this time. My first experience wasn't great, and I don't know why those cupcakes were tasteless and stale, but lil cakes and creamery definitely get a high five for the level up!!! Unfortunately, I did not try the homemade ice cream because two moms with 4 small kids were too busy sampling every SINGLE flavor. I don't mind waiting and being patient with little children, but once I realized both moms were deliberately avoiding acknowledging my wait and presence, even after lil cakes servers more than once apologized for the wait, I decided I'll come back another time to try their ice cream. The only reason why I mention this experience with those moms, especially in this climate where we have to remember to treat ALL people like human beings, the lil cake servers were so gracious and courteous in repeatedly acknowledging my wait and apologetic for the circumstances....bravo!! Overall, I highly recommend this cupcake place..and definitely try their strawberry shortcake cupcake..and please let know me know how you like their homemade ice cream too ;)

Really nice guy working at the counter who told me about a cookie special so I ended up buying more cookies but we're delicious and also about five dollar milkshake Fridays. Will be there Friday!

I love this place! I got one of the cupcake and cream cups, where you get a cupcake and ice cream all in the same cup. It was super tasty and went together really well (like ice cream cake, but better because it included actual cake). I got the cannoli cupcake with cookies and cream ice cream. Their ice cream was really tasty and I could tell that both the cupcake and ice cream were fresh. The ice cream flavors rotate, but tonight they had several standard flavors like cookies and cream, chocolate, coffee, cotton candy, strawberry, and vanilla. They also had a sorbet option. I'd definitely recommend this place!

Amazing customer service! I learned about this bakery on social media during covid19. We had a friendly conversation on Facebook Messenger where menu was shared along with recommendations. I preordered a dozen cupcakes to be picked up at the shop during 12-1 on a Sunday. Cars lined up outside for curbside delivery or you were welcome in the shop with your mask on. We prepaid on Venmo. I ordered 6 for a friend who recently had a baby girl. She commented that the cupcakes were gorgeous and had tasted 3 as soon as we dropped them off. My husband and I kept 6 for us and ranked them here Lemon Drop Red Velvet Oreo Strawberry Shortcake Peanut Butter Strawberries and Cream Sinful Caramel I look forward to visiting again to try the ice cream!

I'm just keep this review 1,000 percent honest ok. And I'm not trying to get this place closed or anything but sheesh $3.65 a cupcake that tasted like a box I could make from Giant? Very disappointed on these cupcakes I got for my kids birthday. My oldest and I love red velvet and that was basic!! The icing didn't even have that cream cheesy flavor I was looking for. The cookies and cream cupcake and hot Fudge sundae the cake part was dry. And had the same base for both cupcakes. Nothing authentic about them. The only cupcake that was pretty ok was the mm candy cupcake. And they were nice enough to put a birthday candle. The 3 stars was for excellent customer service! Seriously! The ladies that work the front are very nice. The store is cute on the inside and they ha e ice cream too that I didn't try. I was just upset that if I'm going to spend $22 for 6 cupcakes?? (Which is ridiculous!) they better taste like Georgetown cupcakes or something from food network. My kids like cupcakes like me. And if the red velvet ain't good? Then you should already know the other ones is a no go too! If you got money to blow? Just go here lol They need to lower their prices for sure and then the reviews won't be so bad because then in my mind I would be like "ok these prices make sense " lol

I had an emergency birthday cupcake situation and when I called the ladies were super helpful. They were so sweet to set aside what I needed as I paid for the order by phone. They went above and beyond and I really appreciated the service. And the icing on the cake were the cupcakes because they were absolutely fun and delicious. We had a variety of flavors like sea salted caramel, Oreo, and other incredible flavors. They were huge and we split one for two people. I can't say enough and I can't wait to order more for future occasions. Highly recommended!

Honestly, this was unexpected visit. We went to Halal guys next to Chuck E Cheese and when we went in, we saw advertisement of this place. We walked outside after our meal and saw this place. Their advertisement worked. Anyways, we went in and we saw the first thing we saw, which was ice cream and a cupcake crammed into a cup. Obviously, we were intrigued and wanted to try it out. It ended up taking a while to prepare and we got some toppings in there. The cupcake and ice cream cup came out to about $10, which is a bit steep. The flavor wasn't special or something I really craved. In the end, it was an okay experience. The ice cream had a pop of color which shows that a lot of food coloring was inside. It's great for photos, but takes away from the feeling like it was naturally made. If you're craving ice cream or something sweet and you're in the area, it's worth a try. Not something I would travel specifically for this place.

There are so many cupcake places but this little gem have both cupcakes and ice cream. What a perfect marriage. The store has few seatings to enjoy the delicious ice cream. The staff is delightful. The place is clean. The display is simple. This little place has 20+ flavors of ice cream and a dozen or more flavors of cupcakes. So what's the verdict? I sampled many flavors but ultimately settled on the tradition strawberry ice cream. It was delicious. Since this is new to us, we had to get a dozen cupcakes. They were all amazing but the BEST was the tres leches (which need to be refrigerated but never made it to the frig.) Other favorites of mine were the lemon cupcake and the strawberry cupcake. Overall a great experience, great tasting cupcakes and ice cream, and great staff.

It's Grand Opening Day at Lil' Cakes and Creamery. As you knowable through the door they greet you with a hello. They offer a whole array of cupcakes, ice cream, cakes, milk shakes, pup cakes, drinks and more. As it was their opening day, they had prizes, raffle, balloons and a festive atmosphere. They certainly were very charming and good spirited with all their customers. If you bought 4 cupcakes, you got the chance to spin their prize wheel...we won pup cakes, which we declined as we don't have a dog. I also bought this delicious cupcake treat combination with two ice cream flavors and toppings. It was truly delicious. I waiting until I got home to try the cupcakes, which were tasty but the frosting was a little overly sweet. Glad we got a chance to visit, we hope they will do well.

This is one of the best cupcake shops in Gaithersburg in terms of presentation and flavor. After seeing other reviews, I came in to try one of their strawberry cupcakes. After noticing that they had two strawberry cupcakes that were very similar, they explained to me the difference and helped me narrow down my choice based on whether I want something that is lighter or more sweet. Good customer service. There are a few tables outside where you can sit and eat, but no seating inside. They also had great variety and also sold cakes, macarons, and other treats.

First off... I had no idea where this place was hahah. For some reason I thought it was in Washingtonian Rio... Guess where it's not... Washingtonian Rio. I think I was maybe thinking of Lilly Magillys or something. I'm not TOO up on the cupcake places... but I'll try to get better. I promise. The location is inside of the shopping center on 355 in Montgomery Village that has CVS, Halal Guys, Boston Market, Chuckee Cheese, Panera, Habit Burger etc. Hopefully you know the one. So I went to pickup some cupcakes for Mother's Day. I already knew there cupcakes were delicious as my boss had them sent to me for my 8 year Yelpiversary present :) They were so so good. It was REALLY hard not to eat all of them in like one sitting. I was a little afraid that I was gonna get there and they'd be out of cupcakes tbh. It was like 4:30pm on Mother's Day. But they had a VERY nice selection still out. Let me see if I can list all the ones I got. *Cookies and Cream *Lemon Curd *Strawberry Shortcake *A vanilla cupcake that said Happy Mother's Day *Salted Caramel? Not sure what it was but it had a pretzel on top *Wedding Cake *Fudge Sundae *Can't remember the last one. I tried a little bit of the lemon curd. I also grabbed 4 of the macarons as well. Coconut, hazelnut, orange cream, pistachio. This is where they lost me honestly. The macarons were just not to my taste at all. I tasted the hazelnut and it almost had a bitter almost acrid taste. I also tried a piece of the pistachio and was not a fan. In conclusion: DEFINITELY recommend the cupcakes. The cake is moist, the frosting delicious and supple, the presentation is beautiful. The cupcakes are legit great. I'd avoid the macarons if I went again. But I will say that the woman who helped me was as friendly as can be. Honestly, they really deserve like 4.5 stars. Definitely a solid place to pick up a variety of beautiful cupcakes. Oh and one other thing. They were packaged into two 4 packs for me - and 1 cupcake in each box fell over. The sundae one fell over it one of the boxes which was so upsetting cause the presentation on that one I think was the most impressive. So if I did go back, I'd probably just ask them to put in in a 12 cupcake box, to ensure they it stayed flat inside of the bag. But warning: A fallen over cupcake is still as delicious as a standing up cupcake. Don't you worry.

This place was amazing! Friendly staff, delicious and gorgeous desserts! The cupcakes are divine but the Boston Cream Pie ice cream won me over. So creative and seriously so tasty!

I found this place from the FB Group (support Moco Restaurants). It is in the same side where the Ross store is. They had many cupcakes on display and features some that are not usually in the your standard cupcake offerings. Price is right and had a sweet tooth, after picking up lunch at Halal Guys couple stores down. The cake portion of the cupcake has to be twice the size of other cupcake places, but man, it was the most moist and fluffiest cake I had even taken a bite into. I mean wow. First impressions right? The frosting was just delicious too. Not too sweet and perfect amount of it. This is a great option for those looking for that special treat whether you get just one for you, half dozen or dozen. I wonder if they also do cakes? I will have to ask the next time I am there.

I did a pickup order for Mother's Day. The ordering experience on Yelp was super simple. And they had my cupcakes packed up and ready when I got there. The woman at checkout was really nice to meet. Even complimented my nails! As you can see from the photo, I couldn't wait to eat the salted caramel cupcake! Will definitely be back to this spot.

This place was great! The service was amazing, the young people working there were super nice and efficient. Ordered a custom cake here and they were quickly able to create an outline for my cake and send it to their baker. The baker responded back fast asking for more details like color along with reference images to make sure everything was perfect! An all around fast and easy custom cake creating experience. And the ice cream was bussin

A friend received a recommendation from a coworker, so we decided to try this place out today. I got chocolate brownie ice cream and my daughter go carnival ride. Due to the toppings, she couldn't tell it was chocolate ice cream, so she wasn't a fan. The brownie pieces were too hard (possibly frozen before adding to the ice cream), so I couldn't finish all of it. I also got the red velvet cupcake and my kid got the cookies and cream. The red velvet was a bright red, more dye than what I am used to. The icing was very sweet, but didn't taste too much like cheese. The cupcake was very moist but it had a weird aftertaste and I couldn't finish it. My daughter wasn't pleased with her cupcake icing. It wasn't really her taste. She thought the cupcake itself was ok though. Overall, it was ok. It's really far from where I live, so I doubt I would return. SN: the little doggie desserts were really cute.

Kudos to fellow yelper Carroll N., her review led me to this bakery review. Some cupcake bakeries are overrated and with the cupcake craze, finding a perfect cupcake from texture to frosting, not to mention sugar consistency can be frustrating. No need to worry though, cast your cares away and let your taste buds roam free. Flavorful cupcakes, macaroons and even ice cream (didn't try) can be delicious and indulging here. I had the Rocky Road, Tiramisu, Strawberry Crunch, and Canoli cupcake which are pound for pound (size, quality, taste, and cost) the best cupcakes in the area. Each cupcake was filled with a cream filling. The buttercream /cream cheese frosting taste wise make these cupcakes stand out like a peacock. Buttery good! The Orange-sickle Macaroon had a delicate texture and the flavor was unique. I've had Ladurée macaroons in Paris and I would come back for these anyday! Treat yourself!

If you want a tasty moist cupcake, this is the spot! They have the best cupcakes I've ever tasted! Absolutely recommend this place for cupcakes! They never disappoint.

I tried this place for the 1st time but not a big fan of it. Got the following four types and they were all too sweet for me... really can't handle the level of sweetness, if your sugar tolerance is high you might like this place as those cupcakes were indeed cute. I've been getting their cupcakes for a while-- definitely the best in the area. My absolute favorite is the strawberries and cream (the one with the whipped cream)- so fresh abs light, yum. All the others are delicious too. I recently got them to make a specialty cake for my husbands 40th. Custom design, with some printed logos of his favorite things. They did an amazing job and very helpful in discussing via email. I highly recommend!! It was chocolate with chocolate buttercream, vanilla buttercream and Oreo frosting. We are still eating it 3 days in and it is absolutely delicious. I made one small mistake - when picking up the cake, I thought, why not get a cappuccino for the road. My advice - don't! It was really very meh. It is after all a cupcake shop not a coffee shop lol. Keep up the great work bakers!!

When Lil' Cakes and Creamery first opened, I browsed the store but didn't buy anything. During the pandemic, I wanted to surprise my boyfriend with a milkshake and cupcakes so I decided to order from Lil' Cakes and Creamery, which is located in Gaithersburg Square. They specialize in cupcakes, ice cream, pup cakes, cookies, macarons, milkshakes (with and without cupcakes), ice cream cakes and custom cakes. I wasn't sure what standard milkshake meant so I asked for clarification. Apparently, it's just a milkshake without the cupcake bits. You can choose from 24 flavors. I couldn't find a list of flavors so I went with Cookies n' Cream. Living less than 5 miles from the store, I was surprised that the milkshake was melted and not frozen as expected. The melted marshmallows at the bottom of my milkshake added texture (in a good way) to the milkshake. I bought a box of six cupcakes, which consisted of Strawberry and Cream, Cookies n' Cream, Red Velvet, Peanut Butter Cup, and Hot Fudge Sundae. In the last week, I had cupcakes from three different cupcakeries in the Gaithersburg area, and I'd say these are the best cupcakes I've had in awhile. All of the cupcakes were moist and those with buttercream frosting had the perfect texture and balance of butter and cream cheese. I loved how the Strawberry and Cream cupcake was made with fresh strawberries, filled with strawberry jelly, and topped with whipped cream frosting and halved strawberry. I was surprised that their version of Cookies n' Cream consisted of a moist chocolate cupcake with Cookies n' Cream frosting and Oreo cookie. My boyfriend expected the Peanut Butter Cup cupcake to have a stronger peanut butter flavor. It was just a moist chocolate cupcake with light peanut butter frosting. I can't wait to return to try more cupcake flavors including Birthday Cake, Wedding Cake, Pink Vanilla Cupcake, Lemon Drop, and Sinful Caramel Cupcake. I wish that they had more fruit flavored cupcakes or cupcakes without chocolate.

I found out about this place on IG and was wowed by the delicious looking cupcakes. They offered preorder when things were closed, but I waited for them to open. The bakery is a cute little spot located next to Ross off of 355. It's a cute small spot. They offer a variety of cupcakes and homemade ice cream! They also have macaroons, which my daughters love! We stopped by and picked up 6 cupcakes and macaroons on a Monday for my birthday. Everything looked and tasted amazing! The staff are so nice and friendly. I had ordered their special for the day, which was lemon meringue, as well as red velvet, caramel, PB and strawberry crunch. We loved all of them, but I have to say that the strawberrycrunchwas the best! The cake itself is so moist and perfect. The icing is amazing as well; not overwhelming in my opinion. Since I loved them so much, i decided to order a dozen to share with friends. I sent a message through IG and they are very responsive. I needed them for 11 today. Although she didnt open until 12, she was super accommodating and was able to have them ready for 11. She said she wanted to ensure I had fresh cupcakes. Can you say amazing customer service! She accepts zelle and venmo, which makes it super convenient. I picked up the cupcakes this morning and the were beautifully packaged. Can't wait to share them because they are honestly the best cupcakes in the area!!!! Next time I will be trying their ice cream.

Wow! Wow! Wow! I'm so glad I finally was able to make it here. Everything about this place during my first visit was excellent!!! Customer service was impeccable and the business itself was exceptionally clean. My party was able to try different flavors of ice cream and the employee was patient and knowledgable about the products. Let's be real....the cupcakes and ice cream were BOMB!!!! I can't wait for a reason to purchase a personalized cake from Lil' Cakes. This place is dangerous considering it's so close to where I work too. This may be my new "go-to" for sweets. Definitely a must-visit.
