lil sweet treat

A fantastic addition to the UWS. They have candies from all over the UK and they have season exclusives. There are two sizes of bags and you take a scoop to pick what you want. Then bring bag and scoop to the counter to pay. Highly recommend the sour mango belts, lychee berry blasts, and sour Dracula teeth! Only thing that was questionable was them asking for a tip at payment. Like… what am I tipping for when I did all the work LOL tipping culture has gone out of hand. Don’t be afraid to say no to tipping.

i was visiting from out of town recently and decided to stop by. while sweet lil treat had a great selection of candy that i thouroughly enjoyed, I was very disappointed as a wheelchair chair user by the fact that an employee had to come to the door to help me open it because of how hard it was for me to push. once inside, I noticed that even though i had my coat on, it was freezing. I enjoyed the candy there and the staff were so incredibly sweet and helpful, but was not impressed by my full experience in the store.

This place is my paradise. My once a week lil sweet treat. Bury me in strawberry bricks and sour rockets.

Great, except for just now when I left the house to get some treats at 10:45pm because they close at 11pm, to find the door shut and they have already closed.

This review is solely on the lack of customer service. The store was not busy (just me and another couple) and 2 workers were standing behind the counter, leaning against the cabinet looking incredibly bored. I asked for a specific candy and she replied “they are all marked”. There isn’t a lot of candy there but it was pretty tedious having to read each label especially when the staff was just standing there not offering to help. Didn’t offer a sample either, like most candy stores do. I ended up leaving with nothing even though I fully intended to buy. Will stay with BonBon across town.

Please fix your front door! This is an ADA violation. I have been planning to send my students here for a Christmas treat/counting exercise. However, the door is inoperable for those who are elderly or wheelchair bound. This is preventing three of my students from participating.
