Lil V Bar-B-Q

Omg the cake I literally took one bit in threw it in the trash old not fresh n had some type of mint taste to it . Greens is giving some type of medicine taste to it. Potato was stuffed with a generous amount ppl were nice place looked disturbing but I figure food will make up for the looks. NEVER AGAIN this was a waist of $30

So if I can be honest, I did come when they were about to close. I think I got there at 730p, and they close at 8p. I was not impressed at all. I spent $33 on a rib plate and a short ribs sandwich and small chop beef sandwich. Because it was last what the guy did was cut the top off of the ribs, made the shirt ribs sandwich, the put the bottom part of the rib on my plate, which became mini ribs, that was about the size of my middle finger, not super smoked or seasoned to me. The Mac and cheese was not seasoned, they could have added either aded a little bit of salt or chicken bullion and crack pepper to give it a little flavor, same with the cabbage, corn bread was extra and I got a small chop beef, that was the size of a McDonald's cheeseburger. Although it was a small bun, he could have but enough meat on there to see the chop beef outside the bun and the sauce was watered down. I might go back earlier in the day to see if it's different.

$29 for 2 sandwiches and 2 sides. Sliced beef served on white bread. Sauce was good, beef was tough. Overall disappointing. Stopped here because it had high reviews.

So today we wanted bbq and wanted to try something new. We googled and found Lil V and it was black owned so I far was a plus. Well I gave them 2 stars for quantity but other than that thumbs down. I could not believe they sold this bbq. I had the chicken plate with yams bc they were out of potato salad with baked beans. Yams were best. The chicken was over cooked to the point it was not edible. Seem like they cooked that chicken last week. My boyfriend har the ribs with green beans. He says yeah we ain’t going back there. He is very easy to please. Waste of money. I really hoped we had found a bbq spot.

The customer service is amazing! They’s so nice and they made sure to repeat the order to make sure you ordered the right thing. This is my first time ever being here , I usually go to soulman’s bbq. This is so good. I got the chopped beef sandwhich small that was $3.50. Baked potato , all the way with pulled pork was $10.99. I love the price wasn’t expensive.

Ordered a catering order for 15 people. Charge was $250. Brisket was way over done, like pot roast. There was maybe 3lbs of brisket, and maybe 4 whole chickens. Would not recommend.

My experience was not good I ordered a rib plate was waiting on it then thy say the rib’s won’t be ready for two hours after you have took my money, then ask if I wanted the end piece, then my brisket plate was not even brisket the sides were all from a can overall I will not be back👎🏽
