Well it was bound to happen. Finally had a terrible meal at lil Woody's. Ordered 2 of the Cap hill Sandwiches with NO MAYO and it was heavily caked on. Also the meat wasn't very tasty and the fries were super soggy, drenched with oil. Probably just the location. It was my first time at this particular location. Won't be back.

This is my second visit. I wasn’t very satisfied the first time, but I decided to give it another try since my previous visit was right after they opened last year. Both times, I ordered the French fries and the salmon burger. The fries were really soggy and oily, and the salmon burger was pretty dry. Worse, while eating the burger, I felt something hard in the salmon patty. At first, I thought it was a fish bone—but to my surprise, it appeared to be a piece of plastic (see picture). That’s quite concerning. On the bright side they have a lovely patio, so it’s a great place to eat when it’s sunny.

Google
AI synopsis of reviews is spot-on. Long morning, famished, late lunch. Order taker/cashier was friendly. Restaurant is clean. Has a little outdoor seating. They bring the food to you. When I received my food, it was hot, especially the fries. The hamburger (Lil Woody) was delicious. Fries were great. Definitely return when I'm in Seattle again.

Had to give Lil Woody's a try after being featured as Fox 13's Best Burger in Washington. That's a high bar but so glad we discovered Lil Woody's via the publication. We visited the Greenlake location for lunch. Right off the bat, the menu is pretty big, not like some other burger joints who have followed the minimalist trend. No, here at Lil Woody's you will find many menu items to keep you coming back to try something new. At least, that is what we intend to do. We had the Big Woody burger, Lil Woody, and the Cap Hill chicken burger. For sides, we went with Fries and Onion Rings. The Big Woody burger was well worth the approx $10 menu price. It was stocked full of toppings such as lettuce, bacon, pickles, onions etc. The bun was soft, I think a potato bun, and held up well. It did not get soggy. So it was a proper bun. The paper wrap on the burger also helped keep it together nice. I felt like the burger was a good value with it being so full of toppings. Patty had a nice char on it. A person could easily just eat that as a meal and be full. We didn't stop there, however. The onion rings and fries portions were huge. Way more than I expected for the money. Each onion ring and fry was cooked perfectly. There were no "crispy critters" in the basket. You could tell they put care into the frying with just the right golden brown color and consistency. We enjoyed every bite of the fries. The surprise item for us was the chipotle mayo. Man, was that good! Well worth the 50 cents! I would say Chipotle mayo should be a requirement to try if you go to Lil Woody's. In summary, we enjoyed all the items. Service was on par. We will be back!

Google
We ordered Big Woody, Fillet Oh Fish, side of fries and onion rings. Best thing on order was the onion rings, crisp and nice! Burger was fine. McDonald’s makes a better more seasoned burger. Fries were total let down. Hand cut but oily, unseasoned, and limp. Fillet oh fish was fine but bland. Overall. Price fine. Food is unseasoned and forgettable. Wouldn’t return.

Google
Overall, this is a cute little burger joint in the Tangletown/Wallingford neighborhood that adds some variety to the area. I like that they use grass-fed beef, and every week they have a burger special - this week there was a catfish burger that my friend enjoyed, but the bun fell apart so quickly that they had to inhale the burger. I tried the Fig and Pig burger that had preserved figs, bacon and blue cheese. I was disappointed that there were no greens or fresh veggies, and despite the potential for this being a culinary delight, it was drowning in blue cheese and the preserves which made it slightly unappetizing. The fries were good - basic shoestring fries lightly salted.

Google
Inviting atmosphere. Delicious fried chicken sandwiches. Queso fries are a hit! The vanilla milkshake was perfectly blended. Not too thick, not too thin, just right! Superior service.

David Choi

Google
Half of my chicken sandwich was a thin piece of chicken jerky with breading. The diameter was smaller than the bun, so it was both thin and small. If the piece of chicken isn't large or thick enough, it should be obvious when dredging, so it's not really even a problem with cooking it poorly - more speaks to being cheap. $10.50 for a sandwich like this doesn't feel great. EDIT: Someone reached out about refunding the order, which was nice, but then no refund came thru

Yelp
Lil Woody's is a total gem -- just a nice stroll from Green Lake if you're craving a solid burger. I went with one of their classic burgers and it seriously hit the spot. Toppings are extra, but I definitely wouldn't skip the cheese. I also got a root beer shake which made the burger even better

Yelp
We go for the specials. We love the rotation of burgers and the collaboration with local chefs. Recent visits have included Seafood month and Free Burgers on Labor Day. Hubby and I are always debating if we should get either a side of fries or for $2 more get the basket of fries. Daughter likes the Trotter and any leftover fries. Be sure to get the fry sauce! We prefer this location, less traffic than Ballard and Capitol Hill and better chance at finding parking. Service is consistently friendly and prompt. Lil Woody's continues to make things interesting, which has us coming back.

Yelp
Been to the Lil' Woody's in Ballard a few times and enjoyed it well enough to endorse the latest addition to their chain. After helping my buddy move, food was in order, of the burger variety. I went with "build your own" which is akin to Five Guys. Sure, you can get one of the premade options such as the "Big" or "Little" Woody, but there are plentiful options to make and awesome custom burger, just be mindful as unlike Five Guys, each topping is $1. My personal fav being patty, with cheese, caramelized onion, peppers, lettuce, tomato (if not cut too thick), oh and bacon! Got a lemonade on the side, which is a Lemmy's, slightly carbonated. Split a basket of fries. Fries are very thin and greasy, not the worst, far from the best. One thing is, it adds up quick here - those two burgers, two drinks and a basket of fries was $44.xx! Maybe it was my friends kombucha and my add-ons, but still... So ready to shell out a bit. The burger was good, but if you've read one of my many other burger reviews, a burger pet peeve of mine is when you bite into it and all the contents are sliding all over the place and doesn't hold together well. Lil' Woody's here in T-Town couldn't do it. Maybe in another visit.

Yelp
The food is good when it's hot, the timing for online ordering is again a disappointment. Ordered ahead, got the time to pick up, then as it got close the time was moved 15 minutes later. I got there at the time and the food was ready - and obviously had been for a while. Soggy fries, lukewarm burgers with mushy buns. Food can be good, online ordering a bust.

Yelp
Hurray for the new Lil Woody's location in Seattle's Tangletown neighborhood, sharing space with Darkalino's at the corner of N56th St and Kirkwood Pl N. Great addition to this business district along N56th. Work has been grueling and today was no exception (6/28/24). It's 130pm - no coffee, no breakfast, mega traffic, late lunch, and getting hangry upon arrival. I dragged The Homie along too. This will be the true litmus test of whether a food spot will improve the situation. Decent street parking (1-2 hour zoned) and on a Metro bus route. Bonus versus the Ballard or Capitol Hill sites with expensive and hard to find street parking. Nice interior. Few tables and counter seating. The guy at the counter was very upbeat and welcoming as he took our order. Sat at the two top by the window to soak up some warm sunshine. The Homie ordered the Special, Dutch chocolate milkshake, and chipotle mayo sauce. I ordered the Big Woody and a ginger beer. We shared a basket of hand-cut fries. With tax & tip it was under $50. A splurge, but a worthy and closer destination for us northenders. Tasty, satisfying meal especially when showing up with a major appetite. Great eats & bevs, warm sunshine, and decent tunes really soothed this "hangry-I-hate-traffic-Ms Cranky Pants". Greatly improved my disposition. And The Homie left full. The only thing that was odd was the acoustics. There was some manager or staff member having a loud conversation with another couple. I could hear her from the counter area versus The Homie sitting right across from me. Even "better" when they sat right by us, but thankfully we were about to leave. I would knock off a half star for that, but rounded up to a five because the food and service was great.

Yelp
Very excited to try best burger 2024. Disappointed. Fries greasy, soggy inedible in my opinion. Had the fig, caremalize onion, blue cheese burger and non descriptive to say the least . Also had the classic that my son says was too heavily layered in lettuce and tomato and burger didn't provide enough nice flavor so tasted like lettuce and tomato. Shakes pretty good but not as good as a Kidd Valley shake. Would not not go back here to try other items. Pricing however, very reasonable

Yelp
I was in town visiting family in Green Lake/Tangletown. I ended up having a ton of work to do so had to stay in one day while the rest of the family was out exploring around Seattle. I was in the mood for a burger when I took my break and Saw Lil Woody's had good reviews. I ordered online and then walked over to pick up the food. The service was prompt, and my order was waiting when I got there. The restaurant was clean and well maintained. There are a couple tables, but not a huge space. There wasn't much of a crowd, but it was a weekday and I stopped in before noon. It was a pretty good burger and the fries were a great side. I wish I had gotten a milkshake. Overall this is a good, quick burger stop that hit the spot.

Yelp
Honestly, I liked it. The chocolate shake might've been some of the best I've had--I believe they use tillamook ice cream for the shakes. Burgers are pretty fresh and not overly greasy. The buns are on the softer side. I didn't mind, but my partner was not a fan. We ordered takeout on a weekday so the order completed quickly. When we arrived at the restaurant, it was quite empty. Interior seemed clean. Service was good. We popped in and out quickly, so not sure how easy it'd be to find parking nearby.

Yelp
It's Fast Food Month at Lil Woody's and we're in the final and 4th week which features "Woody's Style" version of the famous double double In 'n Out burger. I gotta say that Woody's Style is just as good! Not to mention, a little saucier and messier. So, make sure to grab extra napkins. I love how generous they are with their yummy fries. I think one order of fries is enough to share between 2-4 people. Last day to try a Woody's Style is December 2nd.

Yelp
Got takeout here on Saturday evening. Service was friendly. I ordered at the front and the food came out pretty fast. Casual and nice atmosphere. Indoor seating and clean bathroom. Food: Big Woody Burger - soo good! This was a solid and delicious burger Vanilla milkshake - also very tasty! My huge disappointment was the fries! They were way too salty and a little sour for some reason. Even with the extra side of ranch I ordered, I couldn't eat them. Felt like such a waste since we got the basket of fries. Other than the fries, we thought it was a solid burger spot, but then again fries are kind of a big part of the meal lol...

Yelp
Glad to see our neighborhood space, that's been vacant for years, get a new tenant, and with teenage boys in our house right now, a burger place is a pretty good option. After eating here, our boys were comparing this to Red Mill (definitely not in the same league as Red Mill, but not bad) and Dick's (a more reasonable competitor but Dick's is cheaper and, by our kids' assessment, Dick's is better) and 206 (compare about the same). My wife and I had the trotter and it was okay, but something about the mixture of the horseradish they chose, mixed with the apple and caramelized onion, was a little funky. Not bad, just funky...I'd order a different burger next time, but it was fun to try. The buns here are good. The basket of fries is a good deal, and you will definitely want to share it with someone, and frankly two people should share it with a third. We didn't try their shakes.

Yelp
Stood at the counter for 10 minutes waiting to order. There were two employees putting supplies up and another in the kitchen who kept ringing a bell but no one ever spoke to us or came to take our order. We left and went to red mill.

Yelp
Despite not being able to accept cash my guy Jack working the counter did more than a phenomenal job serving me and my family. This place is a vibrant welcoming community oriented local burger joint that is a must have when in Seattle. Exclusive excellence is always the vibe!!

Yelp
Went to Lil Woodys 4+ years ago and was disappointed because everything was soggy. Thought we'd give it a try again and was disappointed round 2. Sad because it just opened in our neighborhood! Fries - wet and greasy with no salt Burger - both the lil and big woody tasted like a burger I would make with Costco supplies in my kitchen, maybe better than Dick's but twice as expensive. Milkshake - good but I give the credit to Tillamook

Sherri C.

Yelp
Best lettuce wrap burger I have ever had! They use a special part of the head of lettuce so it created a "bun" and feels like eating a burger!

Jana M.

Yelp
Very basic place, no ambience. Hamburger was decent and large, fries are similar to Dicks just not quite as yummy.
