Yelp
Amazing.
I didn't find have the best impression walking in, the host was meh, not smiling and just sorta stared at us. Awkward. The restaurant is modern and open, relaxed upscale vibes, but not unique.
The food tho. Omg. I was so happy. The sweet potato with whipped caesar, crispy kale, sun chips and everything else in that dish, was a perfect fall dish. It woke me up, and here I thought it was going to be boring.
The pastas - rotolo and chitarra, I was so pleasantly surprised. The rotolo, little golden nuggets, were decadent, rich, and earthy. My favorite. The chitarra was beautiful and had so much flavor, and the octopus was crazy tender. The chili crunch in the chitarra had that numbing effect, I hated that, but I still appreciated the bites I had.
My husband is the carrot cake fan, this had a miso caramel that piqued my interest, but it was just alright. Did its job.
Our server was very friendly, but food came pretty slow once the place got packed.
I can't wait to return to try more pasta!
