Lilibet’s - Review - Mayfair - London - The Infatuation

"We respect any restaurant whose design ethos is simply: “upholster everything”. Lilibet’s is a chintzy, glam restaurant with powder pink, fringed bar seats and the most florals you’ll ever see in one room. Queen Elizabeth was born in this grand Mayfair building—hence the name—and this fun-looking seafood restaurant is one pack of corgis away from full fan girl mania." - Sinéad Cranna

Wow! Not often do I leave reviews but when a restaurant gets it this right it’ deserves to be applauded. From the moment you Step in and are greeted with the gorgeous scented candle and the impeccably dressed hosts you know you’re in for a treat. The restaurant has been stylishly designed, you really do feel at home. We had a cocktail at the gorgeous bar and our mixologist Sai was incredible, nothing was too much trouble, he really went above and beyond. Cocktails were well priced, around £8-10 cheaper than neighbouring hotels. My husband and I chose to shed many dishes and our highly knowledgeable waiter made sure that the course ms were well spaced through the evening, again nothing was too much trouble. Every member of staff were charming. Sadly we didn’t have room for dessert but loved the complimentary truffle at the end and the story that was told with it. Food, service, atmosphere and decor get a 10/10 from us. Definitely the best fish restaurant now in London.

Exquisitely designed, intimate restaurant with outstanding service. Located on the site of Queen Elizabeth ll's birthplace, Lilibet's is as regal as her late Majesty, yet seamlessly cosy and most welcoming. Everything about it has been well thought out - from the signature scent on arrival in the reception area (the choice (we were told) of the wife of Restaurateur /Founder Ross Shonhan who we had the pleasure to meet on our visit) and curtain placement to allow for the reveal of the exquisite interior, through to the delightful menu, subtle decor with nods to Cookie (their late pet dog) and the (Instagrammable) toilets. The team were great - friendly, knowledgeable and helpful in walking us through the menu to explain the items that were unknown to us (so THAT's what Dog Sauce is). The main dining room is split into separate areas each with its own design and feel (we dined by the fireplace and observed the goings-on in the kitchen). This design choice allows you to return (which we certainly will) and experience the venue as if dining at a different place on each occasion. The drink menus feature over 10+ red/white wines by the 125ml glass and 375ml carafe, which is a welcome choice post partaking in one of the many delicious cocktails - we tried a few of the 'classic & elegant' "tini's which did not disappoint. Food highlights from our choices: Anchovy éclair - we shared one of these small yet delicately formed snacks and enjoyed the salty treat so much, ended up having another. Lilibet's mash - (we practically wiped the bowl clean) - creamy, butter laden mashed potato, surrounded by a moat of rich seafood bisque topped with lobster - LUSH! Prego - a fillet steak sandwich (served rare), which was a fantastic alternative to cheese as a savoury dessert option. Overall if seafood is your thang - heck even if its not as they have a range of alternatives, go visit - you will not be disappointed! Update 05.11.25 - Have been back since my original review and the service and food standards remained the same. This time, I also visited the impressive looking bar (located in the front half of the dining room) which is run by a friendly and engaging team. Was pleased to see all cocktails made fresh (no premix here) and our Boulevardier's and Negroni's tasted delicious. Nb. They also offer the full restaurant menu at the bar which is great if you fancy a bite as you sip your beverage.

We celebrated my friend’s birthday at Lilibet’s in Mayfair, and it was an incredible evening from start to finish. The private dining room was beautifully arranged and created the perfect setting for our celebration. The food was exceptional, every dish was creative, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. Ciprian and Abishek were both wonderful, ensuring everything ran smoothly and taking great care of us throughout the night. It also felt truly special to dine in a place with so much history, knowing that Queen Elizabeth II was born here. An unforgettable experience that I’d highly recommend for any special occasion in London.

Two visits, two amazing evenings. Lilibets is the real deal. It’s rare to find a restaurant that delivers such a consistently brilliant experience on every front. The food is exceptional—creative, beautifully presented, and delicious. We tried different dishes on each visit like the ricotta agnolotti and the chrysanthemum salad and everything was outstanding. The atmosphere is elegant and relaxed, perfect if you want to just have some great food or for a special night out. What truly stands out is the service. The team is professional, warm, and incredibly efficient. They remember you and make you feel valued. I cannot recommend Lilibets highly enough. A truly great experience, confirmed by a second wonderful visit.

Outstanding, delicious food in a stunning, opulent yet cosy setting. Highlights included the seafood platter, the lobster mash, bomba rice with red prawns and the princess cake for dessert. We loved every part of our experience and look forward to visiting again soon.

Fabulous on so many levels! Stunning interiors, welcoming, friendly team, and delicious food. Would recommend every dish we had - crab salad, baked bomba rice with prawns, raw tuna belly with gazpacho, & the showstopping crepe Suzette for dessert! Don't skip the snacks - the anchovy éclair is are a must try. Can't wait to return.

The best restaurant in Mayfair! Incredibly gorgeous with attention to the little details. The room itself is stunning. The food even more so. Little chef touches— fried prawn heads on the seafood tower, sauces packed with so much flavor, a cheeky cute little beef fillet sando for dessert… my fave bites are the crab tart, garlic focaccia (which is more like a flat bread), seabass crisp, ricotta agnolotti…. And the veal Holstein. Every bite full of flavor and freshness. This will become my regular.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Lilibet’s on Bruton Street is a true Mayfair gem — elegant, welcoming, and e polished. The food is beautifully crafted, especially Anchovie eclair ! The service impeccable, and every detail feels thoughtfully considered. A perfect spot for a refined yet relaxed evening. We shall return.
