The 20 Best Restaurants in Waikiki, Hawaiʻi | Eater

"Liliha Bakery, an essential restaurant in Honolulu and one of the area’s best bakeries, has expanded in recent years, and its Waikīkī location is one of its newest. For locals who grew up with the original diner, it can feel a little incongruous dining at the expansive, open-air location at the top of the spiffed-up International Market Place, but the food — pancakes, Denver omelets, hamburgers — is just as solid. There’s a bakery case of local favorites including mochi donuts and Coco Puffs (not the cereal, but cream puffs topped with frosting). Best for: Families and groups." - Martha Cheng

We visited for dinner this time as a party of four and were promptly accommodated. Our server, Berlyn, was AMAZING—big shout out to her! She was kind, fast, and attentive, refilled our coffee, and offered dessert options with a smile. We loved our food; I had the jumbo garlic shrimp saimin, and it was absolutely delicious. While our dinner experience was great, things completely changed when we went to the bakery. The three ladies at the counter were not friendly at all, giving short and vague answers. I understand they might have had a stressful day, but unfortunately, this isn’t the first time I’ve experienced this behavior here. It’s a shame that the lack of customer service in the bakery area overshadows the otherwise wonderful dining experience.

Liliha Bakery in Waikiki is a must-visit! Aside from their high-quality pastries (which are as delicious as they look), their local dishes are next level! The loco moco was to die for. I honestly could eat it every day! The service was excellent, and what made our visit even more special was meeting so many fellow Filipinos. Their warm hospitality and friendly conversations instantly made us feel at home. It truly reminded us of the Philippines. 🇵🇭❤️ Whether you’re craving sweet treats or a comforting local meal, Liliha Bakery delivers on all fronts. Can’t wait to go back! 🍰🍳🌺

Located on the third floor of Macy’s in sort of a hidden place. There is a bakery and restaurant portion. The bakery is not worth your time, as it is overpriced and not good at all. However, the restaurant was excellent. There is a bit of a wait, so be prepared to not get a table immediately. The food I had was excellent. My fish had so much flavor and not dry at all. Other dishes were good as well, such as the ramen and pancakes. The side of bread was also excellent. I highly recommend this place to anyone in the area!

We took our five children to Liliha Bakery at Ala Moana for breakfast while visiting Oahu, and it completely hit the spot. It’s one of those oldie but goodie places that you’re thankful still exists, especially when you can bring your kids to experience it, too. The prices were surprisingly affordable for the huge plates of breakfast classics, and everyone left full and happy. The kids especially loved the warm rolls with that delicious strawberry jelly—simple but perfect, and a memory-maker in its own way. The diner-style feel makes it easy for families, and the service was quick even during a busy morning. If you’re looking for a solid local breakfast in Honolulu that won’t break the budget, Liliha Bakery is a must. We’re so glad we could take our children to a spot that locals have loved for years, and now it’s a special family memory for us, too.

Food was terrible. Very low quality. I would not recommend eating here. Ordered the loco moco and it has a weird taste. Chicken and karaage was also a bust. Pork belly was decent but overall we didnt even finish our food, that’s how bad it was. Food looks okay but when you take a bite, something taste off, like everything was made from a frozen pack.

We had such a fantastic time dining at Liliha Bakery in Waikiki. Our server, Jay Ar, went above and beyond—his attentiveness, professionalism, and friendly energy made our meal even more enjoyable. Exceptional service like his deserves to be recognized. We ordered a spread of local favorites—multiple Loco Mocos, waffles, rolls, and more—and every single dish was incredible. The Loco Moco in particular was outstanding—hands down the best I’ve had in Waikiki. Flavorful, hearty, and perfectly prepared. Another plus is the easy parking, which made the experience stress-free from the moment we arrived. Overall, this was a 10/10 dining experience—delicious food, outstanding service, and great convenience. Liliha Bakery continues to set the standard, and Jay Ar made it a meal we’ll definitely remember.

It was my first time dining here, and overall, the food was decent—fairly standard for a brunch spot. I tried the fried chicken and waffle. we got mixed chicken, but the breast was a bit dry, and we couldn’t finish it. If you visit, I’d recommend asking for the thigh instead. The waffle was quite good, but the coffee was a bit too watery, almost like drinking hot water. Service was prompt and friendly, which was a plus. Overall, it was a fine experience.

We went there around 8 am for breakfast and it was not so busy. We tried country style omelet, Loco Moco fried rice, guava tea, and coffee. The food tastes ready good, including the complimentary small bread. Would definitely recommend! The entrance is located near the parking lot but only can be entered from a specific side, so it tool us some time to find it.

Yelp
The best guava cake I've eaten. Must grab one for the plane ride home. If you know, you know!

Yelp
So... I may have gotten my family addicted to coco puffs. But when you are looking for a perfect little bite, they are so good! This location is so convenient, and you can enter in their separate side entrance before the mall even opens. They have a huge array of pastries and small bites. While I do wish there were more non-meat savory options, there's still plenty to enjoy. I want to order one of everything every time I see the beautiful display cases. I tried the azuki turnover for the first time during this trip, and it is absolutely delicious. Ordering can be a little bit tricky when there are many customers who show up at once. The cashiers don't always follow the number pull tabs, so when people are all over the place, it can be easy to get skipped over. However, I don't mind waiting a couple extra minutes once I get the first bite of baked goods! Definitely worth a visit!

Yelp
This was my first time here at this location, we got here at a perfect time it wasn't too crowded. The server was super fast in taking our order and greeting us. They started us out with the bread and jam. Super good start to our food. I had to try this grilled pork belly it was super juicy and tender... I also got grilled teriyaki chicken sticks. My girlfriend got a Teri burger this was super juicy and tasty of course I had to take a bite. We also ordered the chicken karaage!! Super tender and tasty. This place has a chill vibe and a diner feel, the staff is friendly and helpful with the menu. Food is great and fast to come out to your table. Don't forget to visit the bakery out in front they have lots to choose from, coco puffs,Malasadas and poi mochi donuts are popular here so go early they sell out. This is just to name a few... Check this location out and happy eating...

Yelp
Update on Liliha Bakery Ala Moana today I bought dessert Cinnamon rolls . Thanks to my sister Deborah .P turning me on to this Cinnamon Rolls . Now whenever I'm at Liliha Bakery I need to buy them it's very buttery with lots of cinnamon and not to sweet with a little cream cheese frosting

Yelp
Just had the loco moco at Liliha Bakery and it was excellent. The hamburger patty was cut thin and had a crispy and flavorful exterior, right amount of gravy over fried rice. Very solid and the service was great.

Yelp
Definitely a great spot for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! We came in on a Sunday afternoon, despite how busy it was I was amazed at how quick we were served and how everything was delicious. We ordered a whole spread of food and I have to say their chicken is the bomb, always so juicy and fresh. The only downfall was the temperature, it was getting hot especially when the restaurant got full, it was a good thing we had a portable fan to cool us down lol.

Yelp
One of my favorite breakfast spots to visit, especially when family and friends are visiting. Liliha Bakery has a nostalgic essence to it that locals love and visitors have to at least try once in their lifetime. Known for their delicious pastries, Cocoa Puffs and poi mochi donuts. This review is for the restaurant located in Macy's at Ala Moana Center. We visited around mid morning so their lunch menu had already started, although I was there for their breakfast items and breakfast is served all day. There can be a bit of a wait since it is located in town and in the shopping center, so just check in on the kiosk and wait until the hostess calls your name to be seated. It can be bustling with conversations but at no point in time did I feel like I couldn't hear myself or my partner speaking. Even with a full house, the service was friendly and we received our items quickly. After ordering and the initial check in once our food arrived, I felt like the service could have been more attentive since the server didn't come back to check on us and I had run out of water so needed to drink from my boyfriends cup. By the time he came back to check on us we were pretty much done with our food. The dishes come with their famous grilled butter roll and sauce to start off, those little things are so darn tasty I wish you could ask for refills lol. We ordered the Loco Moco, Waffard (waffles with custard), side of corned beef hash and a sweetened iced coffee (ice coffee with milk and sugar). The loco moco was delicious and had a nice seasoning and charbroil taste that I look for in my loco moco patty. The waffle in the waffard was crispy even with the custard layers inbetween. With the custard and whip cream, the dish is sweet on its own and I didn't need to add any syrup. The corned beef hash was a little salty but not bad. Iced coffee tasted like watered down coffee with milk. Overall a great spot for local food and am always happy to dine at again.

Yelp
My family and I (7 of us total) came in on a Saturday night around 7:30 pm after trying our luck at several other eateries in Ala Moana with no luck and were seated right away. Everyone was starving! Our server was very pleasant and attentive throughout service. The kitchen were out of several items but everyone was able to order something that satisfied thier hunger. I had the oxtail soup and it was absolutely delicious! There was a lot of meat, and fat lol but I was very happy with my choice. My previous experience at the Pearl City location left me thinking I would never eat at Liliha again because of the high prices and less than filling portions, but after eating at the Ala Moana location I would definitely return here.

Yelp
Been going to 3 of their locations for years - original, Nimitz and Ala Moana. To me (and not exactly sure why) but the original location in Liliha is the best. The food tastes better and I enjoy the eating-at-the-counter atmosphere. However, I'll review the Ala Moana location. The food is consistently good here, except....the fish and steak. My go-to is either the Oxtail Soup or Loco Moco; however on several occasions, we've ordered the "Mahi" and I don't think it was actually Mahi. It looked questionable and even looked like they stacked 2 pieces of thin white fish on each other to make it look like it was Mahi. Anyways, we'll never order it again. The steak is also not something I'd order again. Even though it's charbroiled, it comes out looking very gray. Today we had the regular fried rice loco moco and the special roast pork loco moco. Both were tasty. Service is always good here and the servers are friendly and attentive. The food comes out pretty quick and is usually piping hot when it arrives at the table.

Yelp
Liliha Bakery doesn't disappoint! The Cocoa Puffs topped with creamy Chantilly frosting are to die for! Good service!

Yelp
Food is yummy as usual. Service was great. Nice place for a get together with friends and family. Perfect location after a long day of shopping and plenty of parking. There was no wait.

Yelp
It's nice to have this liliha bakery in a big department store for shoppers to enjoy while shopping. Once the pineapple room. This restaurant/bakery can get busy during the lunch/dinner rush hour. Food Menu is same like all the other locations but prices might differ. Food tastes the same like the other location. I still think that liliha bakery makes the best hotcake! Small take out container was given to me for a rather large piece of leftover that I had to chop up, which I didn't like. Service here wasn't spectacular but it was fairly clean and nice.

Yelp
The locomoco breakfast is the best! Friendly staff. Open and welcoming ambiance. We visited the bakery area after breakfast to find goodies to bring home and enjoy

Yelp
I came here with my boyfriend and I absolutely love the food here. So much to choose from. I decided to get the chicken 2 pieces. When my food came out, I noticed one of the chicken was burnt a little. I still ate it And didn't want to complain. I was hungry. Service was good. The guy checked up on us. He refilled our drinks. This location seems huge. Come here when it's not too busy because weekends are usually the busiest time to come. I highly recommend eating here. Food is good.

Yelp
Liliha Bakery is a great option for brunch when you're in the mall. They are located on the third floor of Macy's. Access to the restaurant can be either through Macy's (when they are open) or from the ocean side garage. You can place your name on the wait list through the hostess or the tablet when no one is available to help. My usual order for brunch is the smoked pork belly. It comes with 2 eggs cooked to your liking and a starch. I order mine with the 5 grain rice. Service here is ok. I prefer going to the original location in Liliha where the aunties and unkles make me feel like I'm a regular diner.
google avatar

Mikey H.

Yelp
The food is good, but prepared and presented differently than the original location. I did love the kim chee fried rice. The small salad is odd for breakfast but oh well. The staff is friendly but I don't know if it's real or pushed. At least at the original location, you know what you're getting. More like 3.5, so I bumped up.
google avatar

Steve K.

Yelp
The food was delicious. My friend said the burger on the loco moco was salty but I thought it was just fine. I got mines with gravy on the side but it was tasty. The butter roll was good and it came with the meal. I also had the world famous coco puff. This was excellent and a must get each time in Hawaii. The service was good with a friendly staff. The restaurant was clean and well decorated. Parking can be a challenge though. But I believe there is valet but I am not 100% sure.

Ryne T.

Yelp
Due to the fact that this location is in Macys Ala Moana there is lots of parking and you can shop after. Like killing two birds with one stone. Friendly staff and clean seating area. I like it because the tables spaced out. I think they can accommodate a large party. Just gotta ask. Food It's Hawaii's comfort food. Ono because we know what to expect and they still give you a good portion of food with every plate.

Yelp
Arrived at 9 am now it's 10 am finally got our food. After having the host desk, forget our check in. Who said it would be 10 or 15 minutes. But turned out be 30 minutes after I asked if they still had our name in the the books. Wait staff was not very attentive or flexible on ordering the food how I liked it. Would not come back to this location. It's noisy, crowded and loud. I would rather go back to the Nimitz location.

Yelp
This updated review is for the bakery portion only. I came on a Sunday afternoon and the case was filled with delicious items. Pull a number. I usually have to wait a long time but today as soon as I pulled the number I was called. I was so excited to bring these home but was disappointed in a couple. I picked up the haupia malasada and it tasted sour. I'm not sure if the haupia had spoiled but it was disappointing. The same thing with the long John. My kid was excited to eat it and she said the filling was also sour. I told her to stop eating it.The Chantilly donut was good. The onion roll was wet and mushy. As great as all of these items looked, they were a disappointment for me and my family.

Yelp
Liliha is a staple in your next Hawaii visit. I absolutely LOVE their poi donuts. The texture is amazing and way better than any mochi donuts on the main land. It's not too sweet, it's perfect. We ate in the cafe at Ala Moana and they have a huge menu for breakfast lunch and dinner. I love the fast casual diner vibe. We devoured all of the food we ordered. Service was incredibly fast even with our larger group of 8. The cafe is located inside of the Macys at Ala Moana. Love this place!

Yelp
i love liliha bakery. the service is top tier, food is always great, and portions are huge! they're also mostly in accessible areas with decent parking. this ala moana location is spacious and has easy access. the butter rolls are my weakness i could eat the whole basket myself if no one was there to stop me. the loco moco is classic and super well cooked with lots of gravy. they're flexible with adjusting your orders however you like.
google avatar

Matt O.

Yelp
Liliha bakery is always a staple. I haven't been to one in a while but who can resist their butter rolls with jelly! We ordered breakfast and it came out pretty quick. It was empty at opening time with about 10 tables full when we went in and when we left maybe a third of the restaurant was full.
google avatar

Maggie S.

Yelp
Saw this spot on TikTok and had to try it! Finding it was a little tricky (our Uber dropped us in the parking lot, and it took us a minute to figure out where to go), but once we got in, things turned around. They were busy on a Sunday, so service was a bit stretched, but they still brought out these delicious bread bites with a red sauce--such a nice surprise! We both had loco mocos (one beef patty, one pork), and the portions were huge. Definitely a heavy meal, but packed with flavor and totally worth it. Overall, a solid spot--not sure if it worth the hype.

Yelp
A must try bakery in Honolulu- famous for their coco puffs (gigantic cream puffs) and their ube mochi donuts. We got 3 different flavors of coco puffs- chocolate, original, and matcha. My favorite flavor was the original coco puff We got the ube mochi donuts- it was alright. Not terribly unique or more delicious than other mochi donuts I tried. We got a pack of ube bread rolls - these were really dry with no flavor and we couldn't finish them If you come, the only things worth trying are the coco puffs and mochi donuts. There's also a cafe/ restaurant on the other half of the bakery where people were sitting and eating

Yelp
I always love coming here! The food was great and service was fast. I love that they have space good for strollers since we have a baby. Always a nice time going to Liliha Bakery
google avatar

Yelp
Always a line and always worth the wait. Fresh baked goods here. Fast and clean service. Pull a number and look at what you want to order. Many favor the filled puffs. I enjoy the twist glazed donut and scones. The pizza pastry was a bit oily and oddly sweet. Ambiance: 3/5 (It's in Macy's) Service: 5/5. They work hard here. Food: 3.5/5. Depending on what you order.

Stefanie T.

Yelp
The food was amazing, very fresh and delicious! We took some baked goods home to try as well- everything looked so yummy! I do wish they had real maple syrup instead of high fructose corn syrup. Janice our server was very attentive. We would definitely come again!

Yelp
[Located on the 3rd floor of Macys and can be accessed from inside Macy's or from the parking lot] I came for breakfast on a Saturday morning and it was pretty busy but only a 20 minute wait for my party of 2. We got seated quickly and the staff were nice. I got the Steak & Eggs (I'm not sure if they ask out of courtesy how you like it cooked, but it was pretty much a thin slice of beef cooked well done). The dish was underwhelming and the salad was more of a garnish with small drops of dressing. I don't think this was the highest of quality and was not worth the price. I regret not ordering a different dish. I'd give the food 1/5 but the service was de

Yelp
I need to update my review for this one item alone... If you are unsure which menu item to try, or if you're new to the LB scene, try the SMOKED PORK BELLY FRIED RICE LOCO MOCO (see pic). Zero regrets. The gravy marries beautifully with the two grilled pork strips, fried rice, and eggs over easy. My gosh, and if you wanna grab a drink to wash it all down, Plantation Iced Tea caps it off nicely! Their buttered sweet rolls and jelly are a great starter. I take home any extras since my two young boys love it. Happy eating Yelpers!

Yelp
Similar to last visit, service was not good. Took awhile to flag down our server to take order. The table next to us got attention super quick. Need to ask multiple times for our server and when he came, he took our order and took awhile to bring the butter roll and drinks. He only gave us one basket of butter roll (4 pieces) when we have 5 people in the party. He only stop by one time and second time was to ask us if we ready to pay (that part he is quick). They should put more servers on the floor because it seems like only one or two are servers and the rest is bussers. Food - garlic shrimp was alright, the shell is hard to peel, wish they could do half shelled. Matcha lemonade is good, I would recommend this.

Yelp
This place has always been a hit or miss for me. I had date night with the hubby tonight and everything was good. The complimentary butter rolls with raspberry jelly is alway a delight. We ordered a loco moco with fried rice $19.95 and a three piece fried chicken $20.50 with fried rice +$1.69. I like white meat and was so happy that I could get two piece of wings and a piece of breast. The chicken was crispy and tender. The fried rice was tasty. It paired well with the greens and corn. I loved the gravy on the loco moco and over easy eggs. Definitely get it with the fried rice. This plate was huge. The service was spot on tonight. The waitress came around constantly and filled the water cups. She also cashed us out quickly and brought me a take out box.

Yelp
Came in for a family lunch on a Saturday. As expected, the place was pumping! At least you can shop around Macy's while you wait since it's connected. It's a loud restaurant with a whole lot going on at once. There is a small bakery section at the entrance if you just need something to-go. Food was well flavored and the famous rolls were good as always. My biggest concern is the price point for what you're served. I'm assuming it's because the mall rent is very high, but $25 for a cobb salad with tiny chicken and no blue cheese??? Another small issue is they only have vinegarette or ranch dressing. At least the chicken had good flavor and three half avocado was nice. Definitely not a top choice for places to eat. Better bang for your buck elsewhere.

Yelp
When you just don't know... Taking mom out for dinner and it's the usual answer..."I don't know how about Chinese..." gah! Then she throws out how about sandwich...or soup..."I don't know!" Not feeling like choosing I came to decide on Liliha Bakery as it's at a convenient location on the upper level of Ala Moana Center right inside Macy's. With offering breakfast all day the selection here is endless...from pancakes to lobster tail or how about their fried chicken with their famous butter roll I think choosing here made I harder to decide on what's for dinner lol! Mom had the Steak & Eggs while I got the Mushroom Chicken with macaroni salad though they brough it with greens which I informed the server and brought out a scoop...never have I seen a macaroni salad with raisin and parsley mixed in uuhhhh nah! I also ordered their Matcha Tea Lemonade which actually was really good the right blend and not too tart, the food took a bit of waiting though we enjoyed ourselves and I was shocked that mom ate almost everything. Going outside of our usual is a refreshing break and though there was a bit of differences variety is definitely the perk of our local biz. Thank you!

Yelp
Intro: After doing quite a bit of sightseeing, I stopped by Liliha Bakery for to refuel. Liliha is one of the most reviewed restaurants in Honolulu on Yelp. They have several locations in town. This one, at Ala Moana (the largest outdoor mall in the world), is located on the third floor and has its own separate entrance. Service (N/A): While they do have a sit-down restaurant, I ordered from their grab-and-go-bakery. They also have a bench and some standing only tables if you'd like to eat your dessert inside. I ordered from the bakery so service wasn't a big part of my experience. I ordered what I wanted, the lady working gave it to me, and then I paid. Done and done. Ambiance (2.5/5): Since it's connected to the mall, and it isn't enclosed from the mall by doors, it's not the most impressive of dining experiences. The same can be said of the decor. I haven't been to their original location (where it all started a long time ago) so I wonder how things compare to the mall location. Drinks (N/A): I didn't order any drinks on my visit, dessert only. Food (3/5): Liliha Bakery is known for its coco puffs. No, not the cereal. This is a dessert invented in Hawaii. Think of it as a cream puff but with a chocolate filling inside. And be careful eating it because the filling may ooze out unexpectedly and get all over you. I narrowly avoided this. While their coco puffs are famous, and a lot of people love them, I wasn't terribly impressed. The chocolate filling had a peculiar taste to me. With that being said, they have a ton of baked goods so there's a lot to choose from beyond coco puffs. Overall: Liliha Bakery didn't live up to the hype for me but I may be in the minority here. No WiFi either (it seems like most restaurants don't offer free WiFi on Oahu for some reason). And if you're looking for a sit-down meal, Liliha offers that experience too.

Yelp
Have been to all LB locations except Waikiki and find them all consistently hospitable, responsive, and impeccable in terms of what a dining experience is supposed to be. Oh btw the food is always excellent too. Importantly, staff in general seem to be treated well (by LB and guests) and reflect that. Recommend visitors enjoy LB to experience local flavors so the Waikiki location should do that. Compliments to Peter Kim for what he has accomplished...quite remarkable. Maybe not as spectacular or satisfying as kicking a field goal to win a national championship, but darn close. P.S. - Offered the LB in Pearl Highlands my recipe for an epic breakfast omelette and offer still stands...lol...

Yelp
My mom made this place her mission to find after coming two yrs ago with her sister. She continued to rave about potato macaroni salad for two days prior. We finally make it here and she forgets where it's located and how to find it. A random worker finally tells us the "bakery place" you're thinking of is in Macys You have to find this place hidden in the corner of the Macys. A full bakery to the right and restaurant to the left. They sat us immediately, only a couple customers eating. They do serve breakfast all day and get points for that. We got here around 3pm and got to get breakfast We both ordered the French toast because of it saying there was a special kind of bread. The meal is served ala carte and minimal sugar sprinkled on it. My mom ordered the Portuguese sausage with it tha she'd never had before. They brought over bacon instead. I was finished with my French toast by the time my mom's Portuguese sausage came over. I was starving and did scarf those 3 slices down though. Even in my state of hunger i can't say they were great. They were just "meh". The sausage was really good once it arrived. Savannah apologizing for the time it took and being attentive is why i gave a 4 instead of 3 stars. She also made my moms coffee free for the mishap I didn't make it to the bakery to get any baked goods which could be amazing. I'll edit this once i taste this amazing potato macaroni salad my mom needed in her life

Yelp
Went for a weekend lunch. Sign in on the electronic tablet. Surprised that the wait list moved pretty fast, under 10 minute wait time. Dining partner had the garlic shrimp with "brown rice", mac salad, corn, and dinner roll on the side. Garlic shrimp plate - habit of counting the shrimp, 7 pieces of shrimp, the brown rice was interesting as it was more like red bean rice which was way better than regular brown rice. The main thing I wanted to point out after eating at so called specialty burger joints, is that the hamburger ordered here was way better tasting than next door food court place, the downtown place and the place near UH. This burger has lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and pickles on the side. It also comes with potatoes slices and choice of mac salad or green salad. Plantation ice teas where tasty, wished they came with refills. Prices - little on the high side. Ambiance - is like old time coffee shops which are getting harder to find. We were seated next to kitchen grill serving counter area, which I liked as could observe the food from the grill getting ready to be taken to the tables. Service - wait help were busy but could have been a little more attentive for water refill. Hint to owners of burger joints - you should eat a hamburger here and see how your burger stands up to here.

Yelp
I love Liliha Bakery! My friend turned me on to the creme puffs years ago and now every time I'm on the island it's my first stop! This time we got matcha croissants and it's a winner! The waitresses are fast and friendly. This location has a big area to sit but it's also the busiest. Parking on the top floor of the mall.

Yelp
First time to try their LocoMoco in their Ala Moana mall branch- loved the taste. The gravy is not salty, but it was seasoned well. We also ordered the mini pancakes , the syrup made it even more delicious. Service was great, the orders were delivered efficiently. The place is big and well maintained. Great for big parties.

Yelp
This was the first time eating at Liliha Bakery inside Macy's. We took the escalator upstairs and found the small sign leading us to the restaurant. The family and I were close to the last ones seated as they were getting ready to shut down the kitchen. We had already decided on what to order on the drive over from the airport. Our server quickly took our order and later dropped off a basket of sweet bread. Those buns were buttery, a little crisp and so good. The side of jam was delicious even though it looked a lot like cough medicine to us. The loco moco was hearty with the flame grilled burger, lots of savory sauce and two eggs. The oxtail soup was a mixed bag as my daughter really liked the rich soup but had to peel that whitish stuff off the oxtail. Once removed the oxtail was tender. Very good service that evening from all staff.

Yelp
The miso butterfish was cooked perfectly but the sauce was too salty. My husband says his hamburger steak was good and had a good char flavor. The dinner rolls were excellent - very light.

Yelp
Dined here again during a recent trip and like all other times, the food and experience was worthy of an updated post. This time instead of what I would typically order, I went with a spinach salad with garlic shrimp! It was delicious especially with sides of fresh strawberry slices, sliver of almonds, cranberries, and some light vinegar dressing (see pic). This is pretty huge restaurant and practically all tables were full. Service is attentive, fast, and pleasant. Great location if you want a convenient location in Ala Moana shopping center, great ambiance, and tasty food.

Yelp
This bakery is located in the third floor of Macy's department store. The staff was very friendly and welcoming and the space was clean. We came and enjoyed a snack and the ratings are as follows: Boston cream donut $3.29 = ***** Ham and cheese croissant $3.95 = *** Overall, we give this establishment four stars.

Yelp
There's something about a bowl of comforting oxtail soup that just feels like a warm hug--especially when you're feeling a little under the weather. It had been a while since I stopped by Liliha Bakery, but I knew exactly what I was craving. Don't get me wrong--I love their fried rice loco moco just as much as the next person. That rich gravy over perfectly cooked rice, the crispy-edged burger patty, and that runny yolk? Absolutely delicious. But this time, I needed something soothing, something nourishing. So, I went for their oxtail soup, one of my all-time favorites. The moment it arrived, steaming and fragrant, I knew I had made the right choice. The broth was rich and full of deep, slow-cooked flavor, infused with the essence of ginger and star anise. The oxtail was fall-off-the-bone tender, and the side of rice and dipping sauce brought it all together. It hit the spot! With Liliha Bakery expanding all over Oahu, it's easier than ever to get your fix. This time, I stopped by their Ala Moana Mall location--convenient, cozy, and just what I needed. If you haven't been in a while, it's time to treat yourself!

Yelp
I didn't know this place had a sit down breakfast/brunch spot which was a nice surprise! We sat down with a group of 6 for breakfast. Service was good and food was brought out in a timely manner. I appreciated our server taking the time to help with their menu and refills for our drinks were pretty quick! The bakery had a lot of nice selections. We ended up trying a couple of their malasadas. My favorite was their apple. It had big chunks of cinnamon apples inside and the ones we took home were still good the next day! What confused me about this place was finding it. On Yelp all it says is that it is on the third floor of the mall. The sign is hard to see because it is under/in macy's. All in all, this place is worth checking out if you are looking for a breakfast/brunch place with a group of friends. Definitely stop by their bakery and get some goodies!

Yelp
Ordered the croissant sandwich with bacon and avocado yesterday and sandwhich was horrible. The croissant pastry does not taste the same so sandwich was not good. The bun just had a bad taste to it and it did not have a crisp fresh taste to it. The croissant was soggy and the bun smash with no volumn. This was my favorite but not ordering this again.

Yelp
I decided to give this place a chance again. I'm still waiting for my food, but service is so slow that we are leaving. It took 10 minutes to get waters. When they brought out the bread, it was the refuse, and only got a dab of jam. Maybe I'll be back in a couple of years and see if service has improved.
