The 20 Best Restaurants in Waikiki, Hawaiʻi | Eater

"Liliha Bakery, an essential restaurant in Honolulu and one of the area’s best bakeries, has expanded in recent years, and its Waikīkī location is one of its newest. For locals who grew up with the original diner, it can feel a little incongruous dining at the expansive, open-air location at the top of the spiffed-up International Market Place, but the food — pancakes, Denver omelets, hamburgers — is just as solid. There’s a bakery case of local favorites including mochi donuts and Coco Puffs (not the cereal, but cream puffs topped with frosting). Best for: Families and groups." - Martha Cheng

We visited for dinner this time as a party of four and were promptly accommodated. Our server, Berlyn, was AMAZING—big shout out to her! She was kind, fast, and attentive, refilled our coffee, and offered dessert options with a smile. We loved our food; I had the jumbo garlic shrimp saimin, and it was absolutely delicious. While our dinner experience was great, things completely changed when we went to the bakery. The three ladies at the counter were not friendly at all, giving short and vague answers. I understand they might have had a stressful day, but unfortunately, this isn’t the first time I’ve experienced this behavior here. It’s a shame that the lack of customer service in the bakery area overshadows the otherwise wonderful dining experience.

Liliha Bakery in Waikiki is a must-visit! Aside from their high-quality pastries (which are as delicious as they look), their local dishes are next level! The loco moco was to die for. I honestly could eat it every day! The service was excellent, and what made our visit even more special was meeting so many fellow Filipinos. Their warm hospitality and friendly conversations instantly made us feel at home. It truly reminded us of the Philippines. 🇵🇭❤️ Whether you’re craving sweet treats or a comforting local meal, Liliha Bakery delivers on all fronts. Can’t wait to go back! 🍰🍳🌺

My server, Lisa, was so helpful and kind! Breakfast was great and filling! Got the 2-egg breakfast with corned beef, highly recommended. The hot butter rolls toasted are so good! Perfect location for eating and shopping at the center. Just know you have to go in at the 3rd level Macy’s mauka side if you dine early before the store opens.

Food is good. Service is more about MONEY than taking care of a customer. Atmosphere, be aware of BIRDS. Birds fly over you, near you and pick food from your table and your PLATE see my pictures. In my opinion, this is a health issue. Suggestion: The birds issue can easily be solved by putting up netting / screens. Detail about service: My wife ordered vegie omlette. As in picture, the omlette was all torn up when it was served. When my wife addressed that the omlette is wet / not cooked all the way and all torn up. So, my wife told the waitress that the omlette is not cooked well, waitress said she have to call mgr. Surprisingly, the female manager did'nt want to adddress that to their kitchin BUT ONLY INSISTED THAT "THIS HOW THEY COOK IT", AND SAID THAT "YOU ORDERED IT THIS SO YOU PAY". THE MANAGER DID NOT OFFER ANY SOLUTION, SHE ONLY WANTED MONEY. My wife suggested mgr meet her 1/2 way on bill. she could pay half for this meal seeing how she had order orange juice and that she had ate the rolls served with the meal. THE MANAGER ISSISTED THAT YOU ORDERED SO YOU PAY. My wife told mgt you cant force me to pay for something I didnt order. This female manager made a big scene for USD $18.00 BREAKFAST OMLETTE and did not care to provide a customer service to a customer who is unhappy with a meal. Thus I stated above, that their service is focussed to collect money and not focussed to take care of customer. I hope the management will read my review and put a little more focus on providing good customer service.

Located on the third floor of Macy’s in sort of a hidden place. There is a bakery and restaurant portion. The bakery is not worth your time, as it is overpriced and not good at all. However, the restaurant was excellent. There is a bit of a wait, so be prepared to not get a table immediately. The food I had was excellent. My fish had so much flavor and not dry at all. Other dishes were good as well, such as the ramen and pancakes. The side of bread was also excellent. I highly recommend this place to anyone in the area!

Google
The food was good. I had one of their items listed on the menu as one of the “crowd favorites” for breakfast (eggs over KimChe fried rice with pork sausage). I also tried their new strawberry tea lemonade. It was fresh and tardy if you like tardy drinks (which I do not). Overall, the food was good, not impressive but definitely good. The food is also overpriced but that’s also to be expected since it’s inside the mall next to Macy’s.

We went there around 8 am for breakfast and it was not so busy. We tried country style omelet, Loco Moco fried rice, guava tea, and coffee. The food tastes ready good, including the complimentary small bread. Would definitely recommend! The entrance is located near the parking lot but only can be entered from a specific side, so it tool us some time to find it.

We went to @lilihabakery for breakfast on the 3rd floor of Macy’s at the Ala Moana Shopping Center. Blessa and Shella were our servers. Hubby and I both had coffee. We shared the Mac Waffard, which had the Mac nut waffle, custard, blueberries, strawberries, mixed nuts, and whipped cream. We also shared a side order of Portuguese sausages and a fruit bowl. Just enough food for us. At the bakery, we decided to buy a Chocolate Croissant to go. Yummy!

Yelp
First impression was the hostess who didn't greet us, grabbed our menus, we followed her to the table, she placed our menus on the table and walked away but the waitress made up for the lack of professionalism from the hostess. Erna was amazing, very friendly, attentive and the service was fast. Our food was great and the prices were reasonable.

Yelp
Amazing!!! With Liliha Bakery expanded almost all of Oahu what not to love when it's Ala Moana for convenience... so honestly this isn't my favorite location just bc I will always love the original site since I used work Kuakini Medical Centee BUT I do love that the workers here that makes it even more enjoyable (and yes, they are mainly Filipinos, of course). They are courteous, quick, clean and always accurate with the orders. This location is quite busy if you can just imagine.since both locals (and outer islanders) and tourists come here to dine. This time our party of four waited just 15 min after signing in on a Saturday brunch hour (not bad at all). They sat us and served us all within another 15 min. Of course you have to have their hamburger steak, rice and potato mac salad with their famous grilled butter rolls...YUM! Other noted dishes are their BLT, oxtail soup, and hamburgers and so much more. Their pancakes and waffles are always fluffy and on point, too. The list is endless. Oh yeah, while everything is rising in cost, it's still affordable to eat here and the size is decent enough to have take home if you are small eater like me. One more thing- take home to share some of their famous Cocoa Puffs, Chantilly cakes, pancake mixes, cookies and etc...Bon Appetite!

Yelp
We preordered a cake a few days in advance and made one simple request due to an allergy: no nuts on top. It's not a severe allergy, but still something that needs to be considered. At the time of ordering, we were reassured that this wouldn't be a problem. However, when we showed up to pick up the cake, the staff seemed completely surprised by the request. The manager did try to help, but couldn't fix the issue. When I asked if there were any alternative solutions, none could be provided. It's just really disappointing.

Yelp
This restaurant is conveniently located inside a shopping mall, which makes it very easy to access. It opens as early as 7 AM, and when I visited around 8 AM, it was already quite busy. The space is divided into a bakery and a restaurant. Since I was alone, I sat at the counter, and within just a few minutes, the whole place was full. I ordered the loco moco, which was delicious, although the meat was a little on the tough side. After my meal, I took out some malasadas. They offer many varieties, each generously filled with fruit or cream. Out of all the malasadas I've tried in Hawaii, this place ranks among the top. The lilikoi flavor in particular stood out--it's not something you often see at other shops, and it felt uniquely Hawaiian. I would love to come back again.

Yelp
What a beautiful restaurant! Nicely decorated, modern and comfortable. The old Pineapple Room location at Macy's Ala Moana is a great spot for a reasonably priced meal with good portions and above average local comfort foods. From breakfast plates like steak and eggs to mushroom chicken plate for lunch and even prime rib, steak and lobster for dinner. Their teriyaki burger is exceptional. Huge, double patty, loaded with lettuce and fresh onions on a brioche bun. Should get recognized as a top burger! Comes with potatoes and either mac or green salad (don't bother). If you want dessert, it's a bakery first and foremost. You can order dessert from the menu or head to the bakery to get a box of delicious, fresh pastries. The service at the restaurant is great, with smiles and attentive servers, although it can get quite busy. If you're looking for an oasis, away from the crazy food court (and not much more expensive, these days) come here, enjoy a peaceful quality meal in a nice setting.

Yelp
Located on the 3rd floor of Macy's at Ala Moana Center, this place offers local-style comfort food in a bright, lively, and comfortable dining room. Unlike the tiny original on Kuakini, this location is huge with lots of booths, tables, and a long counter if you want the classic diner vibe. Even so, expect a 10-15 minute wait, especially on weekends and holidays. (Pro tip: check in at the tablet up front and they'll text or call when your table is ready.) The Food: Generous portions, consistent quality. We've been here at least a dozen times over the years and have never had a bad meal. Breakfast: The omelettes are my go-to. Fluffy eggs, never overcooked, perfectly seasoned. And yes, they have brown rice. Coffee is bottomless. Lunch/Dinner: My personal favorite is the Oxtail Soup--loaded with tender oxtail, plenty of peanuts, and love the abundance of Chinese parsley. The Fried Chicken and Loco Moco are also excellent, but fair warning: food coma guaranteed. And no matter when you come--breakfast, lunch, or dinner--you can't resist their Grilled Butter Rolls with jelly. I dare you to eat just one. Service: Friendly and welcoming. During peak hours it might take a few minutes for your server to get to you, but once the order's in, the whole team hustles and food comes out surprisingly quick. The staff works hard, and it shows. Honestly, once I've got my coffee (or wine) in hand, I don't mind kicking back and soak in the lively vibes. Happy Eating!!

Yelp
Hubby's fave place to have breakfast. He usually gets the same thing and coffee. Service is excellent. Staffs are super friendly. Wonderful place to come have breakfast and do your morning walk.

Yelp
Find this place inside of Macy's at Ala Moana Shopping Center. 3rd floor. Plenty of signs, you can't miss the excitement of diners going to this place. It's got great ambience. Open area with plenty of comfortable seats and lighting. Local comfort food at its best. This place is popular for a reason with locals and tourist alike. I think this place shines when you're here for breakfast. The loco moco is a favorite that is always popular. Seasoned hamburger patties with eggs your style. Drenched with brown gravy over white rice. Yum. The breakfast sandwiches are also winners. Breakfast anytime of the day, you can't beat that.

Yelp
Conveniently located inside Ala Moana Shopping Center, Macy side with plenty of free parking, Liliha Bakery is a solid choice for a nice meal with friends, family or a large gathering. If you're planning a Sundays morning breakfast, take heed as th can get really busy, so it's best to arrive early, and be sure your whole party is present and ready when checking in. The atmosphere is lively, and the spot is well worth a visit if you're looking to start your day with something fresh and satisfying.

Yelp
So good!! We stumbled upon this place while looking for a dress in Macy's. Walked up and was told it would be a 20min wait but it ended up being only 5min. Was seated and ordered right away. Our server was pleasant and very efficient. He brought us some complementary rolls with some jam that we all enjoyed. My youngest was thrilled to see garlic fried rice on the menu served with eggs and meat of choice. My oldest of course ordered chocolate chip pancakes, hubby ordered the corned beef hash and a side of Portuguese sausage. I tried the loco moco and I'm happy to say we all enjoyed it very much. Next time I'd order the loco moco with garlic fried rice because it was delicious. The bakery while walking in was very temping but no one wanted to carry any of it while shopping. Lol!

Yelp
Liliha bakery is a favorite of mine when visiting Honolulu. My most favorite thing is their butter biscuits and red jelly. Then from their bakery my most favorite item is their coco cream puffs with Chantilly topping. This one is conveniently located walking distance from Ala Moana hotel where we stayed. This one is a standard coffee shop, no frills restaurant type of setting. Of course the one in International Market Place is so much nicer. Their bakery section is loaded with their usual delicious baked goods. The birthday cake in my pictures was the Rainbow cake-it was moist and very good. Their baked goods make for good treats to take when visiting family. Loco moco was pretty good. You really can't go wrong with this dish. Portions are big enough to share. Overall, prices are pretty reasonable too. We got lost on our first time there. If you take the ramp from the hotel to the mall, walk straight towards Macy's and take the garage stairs up to the third floor parking lot. You can't get to it when Macy's is closed. For convenience, this is probably a better location. For ambience and a nice outdoor Hawaiian ambience, the one in International Market Place is much better.

Yelp
Out of town relatives wanted to meet for breakfast on a Sunday morning. Grateful to my CIL who made a res in advance for a party of thirteen. Location is spacious. We had ample room with two separate tables. My heart was set on Smoked Pork Belly Loco Moco. However, Server informed us that pork is not available yet at this location. I opted for Loco Moco Fried Rice and was told the loco moco is not ready yet. I would've been less perturbed if our Server informed us in advance or cover with a sign indicating "Out" I had to go for Garlic Fried Rice, Sunny side Eggs and Portuguese Sausage. Breakfast satisfied my appetite. Grilled Butter Rolls with Jelly are to die for! Container is much smaller for the jelly. My thoughts, "Ay sus! Roll no fit in the tiny container. Must pour some jelly over the roll. Here we go!" I poured a little jelly on the roll. Our Server of Filipino ancestry wasn't fully alert or observant to customers' needs. She didn't notice we lacked any utensils for our meals. 12 of the 13 guests are of Filipino ethnicity. When we asked her to bring utensils for our table, she asked, "How many more?" Shocked by her response. We informed her, "We have none." Then she said, "Oh!" We're surprised with the nonchalant response. No apologies. I'm thinking, "Are you kidding me? This is not a Kamayan feast where bare hands are the norm. We're in a local style restaurant where we require utensils." After hiccup in customer service was resolved, we're able to catch up on family life and future plans. I prefer a different Server who is more attentive and alert while ethnicity doesn't matter.

Yelp
I'm kind of disappointed with my recent visit. I love coming here for a nice lunch/dinner with family and it was always a nice atmosphere. Last night was a mediocre experience, mostly front of house. Came here to ask the hostess how long is the wait for 7 people (with a baby). My party is not with me yet so it was just my husband and I with our baby. No greeting, no smile from this hostess named Avana (? from name tag). She answered lazily "there's no wait". So I said "that's great". She then walked away from the desk and said something I couldn't understand and walked away so fast so I thought she was telling us to follow her, since she said no wait. Followed her to the back part of the restaurant and she started moving tables and saw us and she was like "I said one moment". So we went back to the front and just sat by the waiting area. Then she came to me with the same smug look that she has and said "are all of you here?". Not exactly sure what she meant because she said there was no wait and, we usually get seated without everyone present in this location based on previous experience. So I asked her what she meant. She then repeated it and asked if all of our party is present. I told her no not yet. She then said "let me know when they're here" and walked away. Now this could have been ok if there is good customer service involved but nope. Like why are you such in a bad mood and trying to rub it on other people lol. So my friends arrived visiting all the way from Chicago. I had to get this hostess' attention twice because she seemed not to pay attention to people by the front desk. Then when I finally got her attention she was like "oh they're here?" then just walked away towards the back. When we followed her, she just stood there, not even telling us where to sit or if our server will be with us shortly. Then left. My friends were turned off with how she acted. No warmth at all. 3 stars because food and server were good. I don't like leaving low and bad reviews but this location needs to know. This type of worker needs coaching. She doesn't belong in customer service if she can't even deal nicely with people. Please bring back the usual ladies who greet us and show us to our seats. Hopefully we get a different hostess on our next visit. Definitely turning around if she's the one working front of house.

Yelp
I'm happy to try this location in Ala Moana. This bakery is one of my favorite restaurants in Honolulu. I ordered miso butter fish, and it was so good I finished my plate. Hubby ordered grilled mahi-mahi sandwich. It was tasty and delicious. The fresh strawberry lemonade was so refreshing. Our waitress was very attentive and very helpful and very nice. The ambience is casual noise level moderate to high. This place is touristy since it is attached to the mall plenty of parking outside and I'm so happy the parking is free. The only concern I have is their bakery, which also is located inside the restaurant when you want just a slice of the cake. You cant just have a slice. You have to buy the whole cake itself unlike the location in international marketplace you can buy slices of Dobash cake or Chantilly cream cake.

Yelp
This place was a very great it's located inside Macys on the second floor. The service was great unfortunately they were out of the prime rib but everything else turned out good. The garlic toast with the spread was delicious and a must! I had the loco moco with regular rice and it was delicious fried rice was also an option. My boyfriend also tried the Kimchee Fried rice and eggs and took a bite and it was delicious. I would definitely come back next time I visit.
google avatar

Chad G.

Yelp
Came here with the family. We tried to order the prime rib but we were told they were out. Then we tried to order the steak and they had to go see if they had steak left. Uncle almost had to find another choice. That's why I knocked off one Star for that. I ordered the kimchi fried rice with Portuguese sausage. It was good. The bread and jelly was good too that they serve. But I did notice the jelly was in small containers and had to use a knife to get it out. Before they used to give refills on the bread but they stopped doing that. The place was well lit and was a great place to go with the family. The service was good besides them running out of prime rib. I would go back again for sure

Yelp
Update on Liliha Bakery Ala Moana today I bought dessert Cinnamon rolls . Thanks to my sister Deborah .P turning me on to this Cinnamon Rolls . Now whenever I'm at Liliha Bakery I need to buy them it's very buttery with lots of cinnamon and not to sweet with a little cream cheese frosting

Yelp
My family and I had an early dinner here while waiting for pau hana traffic to die down. My brother and I both had the Pork Belly Loco Moco, and my sister in law enjoyed her Mahimahi sandwich. The food was delicious and the portions were so generous we could only finish half our plate. We did enjoy our leftovers at home. The restaurant wasn't too busy which was nice. Atmosphere was great. Mahalo for accommodating us. We'll be back soon.
google avatar

Max F.

Yelp
I often have brunch and lunch here on special occasions. The service is great, but go early to avoid the lunch and brunch crowds. I eat their burgers and sandwiches and had the luxury of eating their French dip last time. I'll try to eat here more often if I can get reservations.
google avatar

Yelp
This was my first time here at this location, we got here at a perfect time it wasn't too crowded. The server was super fast in taking our order and greeting us. They started us out with the bread and jam. Super good start to our food. I had to try this grilled pork belly it was super juicy and tender... I also got grilled teriyaki chicken sticks. My girlfriend got a Teri burger this was super juicy and tasty of course I had to take a bite. We also ordered the chicken karaage!! Super tender and tasty. This place has a chill vibe and a diner feel, the staff is friendly and helpful with the menu. Food is great and fast to come out to your table. Don't forget to visit the bakery out in front they have lots to choose from, coco puffs,Malasadas and poi mochi donuts are popular here so go early they sell out. This is just to name a few... Check this location out and happy eating...

Yelp
My family and I (7 of us total) came in on a Saturday night around 7:30 pm after trying our luck at several other eateries in Ala Moana with no luck and were seated right away. Everyone was starving! Our server was very pleasant and attentive throughout service. The kitchen were out of several items but everyone was able to order something that satisfied thier hunger. I had the oxtail soup and it was absolutely delicious! There was a lot of meat, and fat lol but I was very happy with my choice. My previous experience at the Pearl City location left me thinking I would never eat at Liliha again because of the high prices and less than filling portions, but after eating at the Ala Moana location I would definitely return here.
google avatar

Wina G.

Yelp
I've never been to this location-lots of my friends have recommended it. This one is located on the 3rd floor of Macy's store Ala Moana. Lots of parking on top on this Saturday. When you enter there a bakery section where you can buy the bakery's famous pastries including the Coco Puff. The cookies are great - love those palmiers and butter rolls. If you want to eat at the restaurant, it's no reservations- you put yourself on the wait list stand in front of the dining area. Make sure everyone in your party is there or you'll have to wait. It was quite busy around 11 am. The menu is quite extensive and there are daily specials. Want breakfast? There's waffles, omelets, as pancakes. Then there's regular entrees. One of us got the fried rice special ($19.50) and said it was really good. Another got the ox tail soup ($26.95) which came in a good sized bowl and 2 scoops rice and butter rolls. I saw you can add saimin for an up charge. I got the grilled mahi lunch plate ($20.50). It came with rice, corn and green salad or mac salad and butter rolls. It was a good sized portion of fish. Very moist and tasty. I must add those butter rolls that came with the lunches were yum! They were toasted and very buttery ! The menu will satisfy any craving or taste- it's huge! Prices run on the average of $20-$26. I'm not sure if they have different pricing for dinner. The staff were very nice- even though we kind of overstayed talking ( apologies!). One thing though, it's noisy- but def coming back here again!

Yelp
One of my favorite breakfast spots to visit, especially when family and friends are visiting. Liliha Bakery has a nostalgic essence to it that locals love and visitors have to at least try once in their lifetime. Known for their delicious pastries, Cocoa Puffs and poi mochi donuts. This review is for the restaurant located in Macy's at Ala Moana Center. We visited around mid morning so their lunch menu had already started, although I was there for their breakfast items and breakfast is served all day. There can be a bit of a wait since it is located in town and in the shopping center, so just check in on the kiosk and wait until the hostess calls your name to be seated. It can be bustling with conversations but at no point in time did I feel like I couldn't hear myself or my partner speaking. Even with a full house, the service was friendly and we received our items quickly. After ordering and the initial check in once our food arrived, I felt like the service could have been more attentive since the server didn't come back to check on us and I had run out of water so needed to drink from my boyfriends cup. By the time he came back to check on us we were pretty much done with our food. The dishes come with their famous grilled butter roll and sauce to start off, those little things are so darn tasty I wish you could ask for refills lol. We ordered the Loco Moco, Waffard (waffles with custard), side of corned beef hash and a sweetened iced coffee (ice coffee with milk and sugar). The loco moco was delicious and had a nice seasoning and charbroil taste that I look for in my loco moco patty. The waffle in the waffard was crispy even with the custard layers inbetween. With the custard and whip cream, the dish is sweet on its own and I didn't need to add any syrup. The corned beef hash was a little salty but not bad. Iced coffee tasted like watered down coffee with milk. Overall a great spot for local food and am always happy to dine at again.

Yelp
Recently got invited to Liliha Bakery Ala Moana. Was still disappointed. Hamburger steak got smaller and thinner, gravy just barely covered the Hamburger Steak. Never came to refill water or coffee. Did refill an ice tea, when they brought the bill. I will definitely be avoiding Liliha Bakery.

Yelp
Liliha Bakery has been my favorite place to get a loco moco for years, now. It is pretty much the only thing I order here! Growing up on Oahu, I of course have had their well known pastries such as the coco puff and their poi mochi doughnuts. I once ordered a peach cake here for my grandmas birthday and it was a bit dry and did not actually have very much of a peach flavor. But this review is for the loco moco! I always order the classic hamburger patty over white rice, with extra gravy all over. And when it is prepared correctly, it is heaven! The hand pressed hamburger patty has a delicious char flavor, and the brown gravy is rich and savory. I wanted to point out that the food quality is a bit inconsistent- we order takeout- and usually when I open my moco box, the yolks are big and runny, and I get a generous amount of brown gravy, like I ordered. But there are times when I open my moco box and my yolks are already cooked through and not runny anymore (which is my favorite part of the dish... the egg yolks becoming one with the brown gravy) and they skimped on the gravy! It seems that this mistake happens mostly when they are busy. One time they also forgot to give us the side of potatoes that we ordered. :( It was too late, we were already home with our order and very hungry, so that was never resolved. When they get your order right, it's very delicious! But the consistency in order quality can be a little frustrating! I know what you might be thinking, and no! I am not letting my moco sit out for a bit or cool off before eating it. That isn't why the egg yolks get cooked before I can pop them. When we get home with our order, I can't wait to eat!

Yelp
Been going to 3 of their locations for years - original, Nimitz and Ala Moana. To me (and not exactly sure why) but the original location in Liliha is the best. The food tastes better and I enjoy the eating-at-the-counter atmosphere. However, I'll review the Ala Moana location. The food is consistently good here, except....the fish and steak. My go-to is either the Oxtail Soup or Loco Moco; however on several occasions, we've ordered the "Mahi" and I don't think it was actually Mahi. It looked questionable and even looked like they stacked 2 pieces of thin white fish on each other to make it look like it was Mahi. Anyways, we'll never order it again. The steak is also not something I'd order again. Even though it's charbroiled, it comes out looking very gray. Today we had the regular fried rice loco moco and the special roast pork loco moco. Both were tasty. Service is always good here and the servers are friendly and attentive. The food comes out pretty quick and is usually piping hot when it arrives at the table.

Yelp
I came here with my boyfriend and I absolutely love the food here. So much to choose from. I decided to get the chicken 2 pieces. When my food came out, I noticed one of the chicken was burnt a little. I still ate it And didn't want to complain. I was hungry. Service was good. The guy checked up on us. He refilled our drinks. This location seems huge. Come here when it's not too busy because weekends are usually the busiest time to come. I highly recommend eating here. Food is good.

Yelp
Liliha Bakery is a great option for brunch when you're in the mall. They are located on the third floor of Macy's. Access to the restaurant can be either through Macy's (when they are open) or from the ocean side garage. You can place your name on the wait list through the hostess or the tablet when no one is available to help. My usual order for brunch is the smoked pork belly. It comes with 2 eggs cooked to your liking and a starch. I order mine with the 5 grain rice. Service here is ok. I prefer going to the original location in Liliha where the aunties and unkles make me feel like I'm a regular diner.

Yelp
ok so when out of towners are in town- gotta take them to Liliha- I was impressed with the huge burger with all the fixings and mac salad was really iconic and yummy- The miso butterfish was good but sauce was a bit overwhelming for me - too much- too sweet- but thats just me - others loved it- pancakes were fluffy- crowded- you may have to wait to get seated and you may have to wait for a server- but if you are not in a hurry -good place to eat! Service is slow but server is very nice!

Yelp
It's nice to have this liliha bakery in a big department store for shoppers to enjoy while shopping. Once the pineapple room. This restaurant/bakery can get busy during the lunch/dinner rush hour. Food Menu is same like all the other locations but prices might differ. Food tastes the same like the other location. I still think that liliha bakery makes the best hotcake! Small take out container was given to me for a rather large piece of leftover that I had to chop up, which I didn't like. Service here wasn't spectacular but it was fairly clean and nice.

Yelp
The locomoco breakfast is the best! Friendly staff. Open and welcoming ambiance. We visited the bakery area after breakfast to find goodies to bring home and enjoy

Yelp
So... I may have gotten my family addicted to coco puffs. But when you are looking for a perfect little bite, they are so good! This location is so convenient, and you can enter in their separate side entrance before the mall even opens. They have a huge array of pastries and small bites. While I do wish there were more non-meat savory options, there's still plenty to enjoy. I want to order one of everything every time I see the beautiful display cases. I tried the azuki turnover for the first time during this trip, and it is absolutely delicious. Ordering can be a little bit tricky when there are many customers who show up at once. The cashiers don't always follow the number pull tabs, so when people are all over the place, it can be easy to get skipped over. However, I don't mind waiting a couple extra minutes once I get the first bite of baked goods! Definitely worth a visit!

Yelp
The miso butter fish was really delicious, and loved the crispy waffles with custard. The complimentary butter roll was decadent, I don't want to know how much butter goes into making them. Friendly service and nice decor!

Yelp
When you need a place to eat good food with generous portions and a place to sit and talk for several hours with good friends ... then head to Liliha Bakery in Macy's Ala Moana . Location is central and parking is excellent for everyone coming in from all areas of Oahu. Even though it was quite busy when we arrived at 1130am .. wait time was about 20 mins and after we got seated ... we ordered and the food came out pretty fast . Best part you could order breakfast.. or lunch and I also noticed some new items on the menu too . Great selections that it might take awhile to decide what to order . And not too overly priced . Service was excellent and we did not get pushed out or got any stink eye for overstaying and chatting . Love this place and perfect for gathering with friends! I forgot to mention those delicious complimentary hot rolls with the strawberry jam they give ! Always look forward to eating that ! No pic due to everyone just grabbed it when it came out !

Yelp
Due to the fact that this location is in Macys Ala Moana there is lots of parking and you can shop after. Like killing two birds with one stone. Friendly staff and clean seating area. I like it because the tables spaced out. I think they can accommodate a large party. Just gotta ask. Food It's Hawaii's comfort food. Ono because we know what to expect and they still give you a good portion of food with every plate.

Yelp
Just had the loco moco at Liliha Bakery and it was excellent. The hamburger patty was cut thin and had a crispy and flavorful exterior, right amount of gravy over fried rice. Very solid and the service was great.

Yelp
Definitely a great spot for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! We came in on a Sunday afternoon, despite how busy it was I was amazed at how quick we were served and how everything was delicious. We ordered a whole spread of food and I have to say their chicken is the bomb, always so juicy and fresh. The only downfall was the temperature, it was getting hot especially when the restaurant got full, it was a good thing we had a portable fan to cool us down lol.

Yelp
A must try bakery in Honolulu- famous for their coco puffs (gigantic cream puffs) and their ube mochi donuts. We got 3 different flavors of coco puffs- chocolate, original, and matcha. My favorite flavor was the original coco puff We got the ube mochi donuts- it was alright. Not terribly unique or more delicious than other mochi donuts I tried. We got a pack of ube bread rolls - these were really dry with no flavor and we couldn't finish them If you come, the only things worth trying are the coco puffs and mochi donuts. There's also a cafe/ restaurant on the other half of the bakery where people were sitting and eating

Yelp
Liliha Bakery doesn't disappoint! The Cocoa Puffs topped with creamy Chantilly frosting are to die for! Good service!

Yelp
The food is good, but prepared and presented differently than the original location. I did love the kim chee fried rice. The small salad is odd for breakfast but oh well. The staff is friendly but I don't know if it's real or pushed. At least at the original location, you know what you're getting. More like 3.5, so I bumped up.

Yelp
Liliha is a staple in your next Hawaii visit. I absolutely LOVE their poi donuts. The texture is amazing and way better than any mochi donuts on the main land. It's not too sweet, it's perfect. We ate in the cafe at Ala Moana and they have a huge menu for breakfast lunch and dinner. I love the fast casual diner vibe. We devoured all of the food we ordered. Service was incredibly fast even with our larger group of 8. The cafe is located inside of the Macys at Ala Moana. Love this place!

Yelp
Saw this spot on TikTok and had to try it! Finding it was a little tricky (our Uber dropped us in the parking lot, and it took us a minute to figure out where to go), but once we got in, things turned around. They were busy on a Sunday, so service was a bit stretched, but they still brought out these delicious bread bites with a red sauce--such a nice surprise! We both had loco mocos (one beef patty, one pork), and the portions were huge. Definitely a heavy meal, but packed with flavor and totally worth it. Overall, a solid spot--not sure if it worth the hype.

Yelp
Always a line and always worth the wait. Fresh baked goods here. Fast and clean service. Pull a number and look at what you want to order. Many favor the filled puffs. I enjoy the twist glazed donut and scones. The pizza pastry was a bit oily and oddly sweet. Ambiance: 3/5 (It's in Macy's) Service: 5/5. They work hard here. Food: 3.5/5. Depending on what you order.

Yelp
[Located on the 3rd floor of Macys and can be accessed from inside Macy's or from the parking lot] I came for breakfast on a Saturday morning and it was pretty busy but only a 20 minute wait for my party of 2. We got seated quickly and the staff were nice. I got the Steak & Eggs (I'm not sure if they ask out of courtesy how you like it cooked, but it was pretty much a thin slice of beef cooked well done). The dish was underwhelming and the salad was more of a garnish with small drops of dressing. I don't think this was the highest of quality and was not worth the price. I regret not ordering a different dish. I'd give the food 1/5 but the service was de

Yelp
I need to update my review for this one item alone... If you are unsure which menu item to try, or if you're new to the LB scene, try the SMOKED PORK BELLY FRIED RICE LOCO MOCO (see pic). Zero regrets. The gravy marries beautifully with the two grilled pork strips, fried rice, and eggs over easy. My gosh, and if you wanna grab a drink to wash it all down, Plantation Iced Tea caps it off nicely! Their buttered sweet rolls and jelly are a great starter. I take home any extras since my two young boys love it. Happy eating Yelpers!

Yelp
This place has always been a hit or miss for me. I had date night with the hubby tonight and everything was good. The complimentary butter rolls with raspberry jelly is alway a delight. We ordered a loco moco with fried rice $19.95 and a three piece fried chicken $20.50 with fried rice +$1.69. I like white meat and was so happy that I could get two piece of wings and a piece of breast. The chicken was crispy and tender. The fried rice was tasty. It paired well with the greens and corn. I loved the gravy on the loco moco and over easy eggs. Definitely get it with the fried rice. This plate was huge. The service was spot on tonight. The waitress came around constantly and filled the water cups. She also cashed us out quickly and brought me a take out box.

Yelp
This updated review is for the bakery portion only. I came on a Sunday afternoon and the case was filled with delicious items. Pull a number. I usually have to wait a long time but today as soon as I pulled the number I was called. I was so excited to bring these home but was disappointed in a couple. I picked up the haupia malasada and it tasted sour. I'm not sure if the haupia had spoiled but it was disappointing. The same thing with the long John. My kid was excited to eat it and she said the filling was also sour. I told her to stop eating it.The Chantilly donut was good. The onion roll was wet and mushy. As great as all of these items looked, they were a disappointment for me and my family.

Yelp
My server, Lisa, was so helpful and kind! Breakfast was great and filling! Got the 2-egg breakfast with corned beef, highly recommended. The hot butter rolls toasted are so good! Perfect location for eating and shopping at the center. Just know you have to go in at the 3rd level Macy's mauka side if you dine early before the store opens.
