Lilly’s Pasta is a Boston staple in my opinion! Their food is delicious and fresh! I used to go here very often when I lived just down the street. The owner is always there and puts in the work to ensure satisfaction. My go to order is something that’s not on the menu, I love that they accommodate custom dishes! (Sorry but I’m gatekeeping this item) Food is delicious Staff are friendly Ambiance is nice and welcoming I hope they open a bigger brick and mortar fine dine restaurant soon

Incredibly disappointed by this place. Ruined the whole day, I went with one other person and we both hated our food - coming from people who are not picky at all! This is my first review on Google because it was genuinely that bad. It was not evenly warmed, watery, and overall not “gourmet.” The cheese tasted like rubber and the bread was like paper. I got the gnocchi, my friend got shrimp scampi and it tasted like diapers. ALSO, IT WAS SO EXPENSIVE!! WE SPENT $60 FOR TWO DISGUSTING PASTAS. The restaurant itself is tiny and the staff were pretty annoying and messy. One staff member came over and said “I’m not even going to ask you how the food is because I know you love it!” Excuse me? Who does that. Please, please, please do not eat here. I would also like to add that the area itself is incredibly sketchy (catcalling).

Food is amazing and servers are so nice. You just can't bring a lot of friends to sit down there because of space. But overall it's amazing and all homemade. You can also build your own pasta!!

This is a tiny place. Mainly made for take out. However, we did take advantage of their available seating. The gentleman that took our order was very engaging with the menu. We ended up ordering their special chicken Parmesan and it did not disappoint. This place is amazing!! We will definitely be back.

Went in for a quick bite on a friends suggestion and I was freaked out how good it was! So unexpected! So cute and quaint! Rock solid good man! Butternut squash ravioli was to die for! My new regular spot Loved!!! Great location too!! Run!!!

Gnocchi sorrentina with grilled chicken, garlic bread (with everything) and the lobster ravioli were amazing! Everything tasted fresh and made on the spot, service was fantastic and super friendly. Just note there aren’t bathrooms here.

We used to go here all the time during college. We now live in Washington and whenever we are back in Boston we always try to make time to visit lilys again. Would rather come here than some fancy place in the North End. You can sense the passion from the owner.

Wonderful atmosphere, very quaint and cozy. The gnocchi melt in your mouth, with every bite I swear I could see my grandmother in the kitchen more clearly. 100% will be back before I leave Boston next week!

Excellent service and fantastic food. The staff was super friendly, the pasta was super flavorful, and the portions were pretty generous. There is tons of variety on the menu. The restaurant is pretty small, but the dine-in experience is still great, and food is served on real plates.

Delicious cookies and very sweet and accommodating staff! I needed more cookies than they had and not only they made me fresh new cookies on the spot, but also gave me a discount as well as a free drink! Fantastic place

This was my first time ever hearing about this place and I've been in Boston for a long time! The food was amazing. Nice size shrimp and chicken. Didn't expect the portion to be as much as it was. The service was good. Didn't interact with the the employees like that. But will say she knew what I ordered and wen I walked it she grabbed it right away. The Ambiance is ok. There are so many pasta-bilities at Lilly's. Why? Because you have the option to customize your pasta the way you want it. And you bet I'm going to customize to my hearts content. I'm personally a white sauce person so my pasta creation is always a little heavier BUT that's how I like it. My fool proof go-to pasta creation is cajun alfredo with broccoli, fried chicken cutlet and mushrooms with ziti. I've been having the same order for years since the good ol' college days and it always hits the spot. When I'm feeling like I should be healthier, I go for the classic red sauce. My healthy go-to creation is the tomato basil with meatballs, broccoli and mushrooms with ziti. The homemade meatballs here are so good and highkey the highlight of this order. Each creation is made to order with their fresh pasta. There are a lot of options to customize so I'm sure you'll be able to create your dish the way you want it all while it being reasonably priced. I still don't understand how and why pasta elsewhere is SO pricey?! Lilly's is a moderately sized corner shop that serves the Mission Hill/Longwood Medical Area. It's the perfect midday meal at school/work or a late night meal back at the apartment. They have a few bar seating areas so you can dine-in. It's more of a casual pasta place that has (in my experience) friendly staff. I always walk out of Lilly's full (when I dine-in) and happy. I'll be back- again and again!

The Saltimbocca was recommended to me by a staff member, and it did not disappoint! If you're craving a cream-sauce pasta comfort food (among other things) with generous portions, this is the place for you! I was a little nervous about ordering the dish as takeout, but after a quick stir it tasted (probably) just as good as eating at the restaurant. It's a small storefront with a lot cooking inside! I hope to return and immediately recommended it to friends and family.

The food was absolutely exceptional, and the service was top-notch! The gentleman at the register was incredibly welcoming and enthusiastic, making my first visit truly memorable. He guided me through the menu with such kindness it felt like he genuinely wanted me to have the best experience. I went with the pasta in vodka sauce and a side of garlic bread - both were simply outstanding!

I recently enjoyed a Chicken Alfredo with broccoli, and it was absolutely delicious! The pasta was cooked perfectly, the Alfredo sauce was creamy and rich, and the broccoli added a nice touch of freshness. The portion size was just right, and I left feeling satisfied. Highly recommend going there for any new comers.

My first time visiting this little restaurant, it is really cute inside. It has so many options for pasta and sauces and add-ons. It's mind-boggling great selection of subs appetizers and salads. I got the Maurey and I would say it's one of the better pasta meals. I've had a long time this is definitely a five star restaurant, but there was no lump crab on my Marty so I'm going to deduct one point. Jose was very, very friendly very outgoing explained everything in great detail and it was delicious.

I used to love this place and would order from there once every week or two. Then, they jacked their prices way up. Tried it again recently and the quality was the same. You're not getting gourmet food. It's just not even close to being worth the price anymore.

Very good home made pasta ... wax on way to North end for fresh home made pasta ....but parking impossible, Mayor didn't allow outside dining there as well... this was easier .., Excellent fusilli pasta, mushroom Alfredo sauce and grilled chicken... choose your own combo. Came will nice fresh bread, huge portions, excellent views of Mission Hill, church, Boston skylines. Excellent manager or owner, efficient, quick and will definitely visit again... nice vibe, inside and outside seating. Historic Church across the street worth a visit after to thank the higher powers for a great meal.m

Ordered from Uber Eats. For this restaurant you can choose your own type of pasta when ordering. The food was hugely portioned and they did not skimp out on the meat and the shrimp. They use bigger shrimps unlike some restaurants that have been slowly shrinking their shrimps to smaller sizes. Will definitely order again when in the Boston area.

Super yummy pasta with tasty sauces! We tried the lobster ravioli, a customized fusilli with pesto and sweet sausage, and Cajun chicken and shrimp pasta. They were all delicious, and the pasta was perfectly cooked! Some highlights: The lobster ravioli had nice chunks of lobster in it, and the sauce was great for dipping bread. The sweet sausage slivers were super flavorful and went really well with the pesto. Finally, the Cajun alfredo had a generous amount of meat, and I really liked the shrimp. Definitely try out Lilly's Gourmet Pasta. The portions are very generous, and it'll hit the spot for any pasta craving!

What a great find. Little unassuming place on the corner across from the basilica. The food is fresh and the staff friendly. If you are in the mood for pasta, really good pasta, forget the north end, come here. Don't come for linen tables cloths or a fine dining experience, you won't find it, you will find incredible pasta dishes with counters at the window for people watching. Well worth the visit.

Really solid subs. My wife and I were at Brigham Hospital, and she was craving an Italian sub since it was no cold cuts during pregnancy. Lilly's was the no frills, fast delivery sandwich spot we were needing. The Italian sub was smothered in oil and vinegar and pure goodness. Lots of meat and a soft roll filled each bite. I had the eggplant parm sub and it was delicious. For a minute I thought I was eating meat because of how savory it tasted. There was just enough sauce and cheese where the eggplant and breading could still shine. Just what I needed after helping my wife through a long day of delivery and labor. We used Uber Eats to deliver to the hospital and had the driver call when he was at the valet in front. Great choice for a late night bite when you are at the hospital with limited options.

ordered carbonara pasta to go and it came to me with the sauce as scrambled eggs - not creamy like how it should be

Had a very poor interpretation of chicken piccata. The chicken was tough dark meat and it had mushrooms and asparagus which was almost unrecognizable.. Never heard of those ingredients in any real piccata. And no capers to boot. The fusilli was doughy. Since it was our only experience here I can't condemn the whole menu but I'm definitely not going to go back. Too many real pasta restaurants in Boston to waste a meal here.

came w friends celebratin the end of the school year. we just wanted sumn pretty quick and thank god we found this cute lil place!!!! there's only about six chairs inside, but the vibes are cute. staff was extremely friendly and genuinely enthusiastic about the place. he gave great insight and information about the food, and pointed me towards this BIRRIA RAVIOLI that was honestly fantastic. i'm from california so i'm pretty familiar with birria, and this really brought me home. perfect amount of meat and sauce, and the toppings + bread are a nice touch. currently eatin reheated leftovers rn and its still so good!!

Love this pasta place, been going for years. Cajun Alfredo is my go to and they always give a great amount of chicken and shrimp.

This little neighborhood shop has excellent pasta, with a few tables for those who are not ordering to go. The counter guy was very friendly and helpful. The portions are generous. I had the lobster ravioli, which came with a yummy cream sauce. My wife had the eggplant Parmesan over a huge bed of linguini. If I lived in this neighborhood, this would be a weekly stop.

My boyfriend took me here on a very busy Saturday night but the man who took our order gave us his undivided attention and was very friendly. The chicken saltimbocca dish is delicious and we definitely will be coming back for more!

I've been ordering takeout here for years and have yet to be disappointed. My go-to is the cajun chicken and shrimp linguine pasta. Such a good portion I can never finish it in one sitting and sometimes my partner and I would split one. What I love about this place is the ability to customize almost any dish which is nice when looking to try something new. Comfort food at its finest!

The man working the front desk was extremely friendly and created a very welcoming/home-y environment. The Food is incredible we got gnocchi with their hot tomato sauce & grilled chicken as well as linguini with a pink sauce & grilled chicken. Both dishes looked and tasted amazing and reasonable priced. No more trips to the north end anymore after finding this spot. We will defiantly be back and recommend everyone try this place when in Boston.

Best place to get pasta that I've found in Boston, it's just really good ‍ lotta options you can get there, everything is high quality and it'll take about 20 mins before you receive your glorious plate of pasta

Small spot in the Fenway with limited seating. Love their fresh pasta and their sandwiches are very yummy as well with reasonable prices.

Environment I think it is a warm and cozy small restaurant with good music.And the seat are right to see outside view which is quite nice. What makes me feel good is actually there are lot of residents to come which makes me feel I find the right place. Service The guys in the front is really friendly and he recommends a lot to us which makes me feel welcomed. All the staff are quite friendly and real so it's worth to try dishes I don't really into their lemon chicken wings but they are tender and juicy maybe I prefer more strong taste instead of sour and fresh flavor. But their cream spaghetti is really good good good! The cream is delightful with milky and thick texture. It also keeps meet tender and seasoned just right to melt with the sauce! The bread are chewy and fragrant with cereals flavor!

I absolutely love this place! I used to be a local student back in 2010-1014 and Matt always held it down down for me! I believe he was/is the owner? Heavy on the Boston accent and huge! 6'12"+, at least, and not big as in weight but huge like probably used to play puck and could toss anybody any day of the week! Tattoos I think and mad handsome! Super nice guy though and back in the day when I was still childish, most likely hammered, and annoying as hell, he'd still be mad nice and take care of me! He would give me discounts for my clubs' catering orders all the time. Never asked for one, but he'd just take 20 bucks off all the time! Legend! He put me on to Chix + Broccoli w/ Ziti too and it slaps!! ...Their bread never really did it for me though so I wouldn't say anything about getting a sandwich there- very chewy & you have to fight w/ it a good amount. Doesn't necessarily hit for me in a sando but it could just be me! In any case, now that I'm older I still find myself coming back to this spot to scoop catering trays for bringing to parties. Their sausage, onion, and peppers slaps and so does their meatballs! You can't ever go wrong w/ their pasta neither, obviously. I usually will put in a catering order w/ maybe just 4 hours notice and they've never missed! A++++++ Love this spot!

I'm dissapointed in the portion size and presentation. Does this look gourmet to you? They put the bread down in the paper bag, nothing covering it to keep it from getting hard. No worries, I won't be going back. $22.99 for 5 ravioli and a serving spoon full of sauce and a tiny kid sized piece of bread thrown in the bad. This was ghetto AF. Taste is good. But I gave it one star for that. Otherwise thumbs down

I think some of these reviews are a little harsh. I wouldn't say it's bad pasta, but you can definitely find better if you look around enough. Overall, Lilly's is pretty good, very convenient and a better option than pasta from pizza places!

I have been ordering from Lily's for a while now but after this incident I will never order from them again. After I placed my order online, I got a call from the restaurant. I thought it was about my food but the person on the other line asked me why I didn't leave a tip on the order and if I was going to leave one. He even wrote it on my order receipt when it was delivered to me. I ALWAYS tip cash when I order delivery so that it goes straight to the delivery person. My food wasn't cooked right and I suspect it was because I didn't tip in the app. I understand times are hard but it is completely unacceptable for a restaurant to be calling and harassing their customers like this.

This is the perfect spot for Covid take out nights!! If you are looking for a simple pasta dish that's perfect size you've come to the right place. I was also surprised by the nice piece of bread they sent me away with. It was such a yummy baguette and was a great vehicle for the excess sauce. I got the fusilli with vodka sauce. Very yummy but I'm sure all of their other dishes are also awesome!

This place delivers yummy looking food, albeit a bit pricey. The pasta selections seem very tasty but at an ave of around $15, I'm not sure I would make this my everyday lunch fare. I opted for the meatball sub that turned out to be quite tasty. It was def a large portion but the ingredients were fresh & tasty. I couldn't manage to eat all the meatballs bc it just seemed too much. Overall it was a good meal & will definitely be back to try more.

Lilly's pasta is always solid! I've had their make-your-own pasta option a few times in various combos, and each time it is so satisfying. It's a really small space with only countertop space for in-store eating, but is really great for delivery (no fee!) if you're in the Mission Hill area. Be sure to try out their Cajun alfredo sauce - my go-to is that sauce on linguini with peas and sweet Italian sausage. A menu item worthy of note: the fried truffle gnocchi appetizer. I'm a huge fan of gnocchi in general, and these nuggets were normal gnocchi leveled up with satisfying crunch. The truffle aroma was more apparent without their side sauce, but the fresh sauce (parsley, basil perhaps?) acted as a palate cleanser making endless bites of fried enjoyment. (I feel that Lilly's is mostly known for their pasta which is why I especially wanted to give this appetizer a shout out :3)

Tried something new for takeout. Nothing really needs to be said about this place other than fucking yum!!!! Will definitely be going back and am completely obsessed with the fried truffle gnocchi.

Most rudest safe ever! Web states they are still open but when I called she said she was closed. I committed the web site doesn't state that and slammed the phone in my face! I'm happy I didn't get to spend my money at this establishment! Please don't spend your money here! They are a lot other restaurant in this area who value customer service!

Still best in Boston everytime I go in here I notice something I missed on the menu , and it ends up being the best dish possible . I have yet to have a bad meal here . Clean and professional . Just today the owner was cleaning ,and commenting on how important it was for him to run a clean establishment . Sometimes you have to be patient ..... they do often times get quite busy . Some of the complaint reviews on this page are because of times like that .... but it is what it is .... when you are this good ....: and this busy .... sometimes you have to wait .

Turns out that the salad, baked ziti and meatballs we had ordered were from Lilly's. They were easy to deal with, so I was told. Me, I liked their meatballs.

Great place and great owners.wonderful attitude and energy that makes the place tick. We came in late after a busy day for them and they gladly complied to our requests. They even filled out order after closing and they were getting ready to close. Will go there anytime. Food also matches with the service. Will continue to patronize this place.

The pasta here is like pasta at pizza places. It's technically on the menu, but it's bad and one one should actually order it.

Today we ordered Mac and cheese bites and the fried ravioli again because those are so good. I also got the four cheese tortellini with chicken parm. Again the prices are affordable and worth the food.

Lily's - you have my heart! Your pasta is fresh and delish. From your friendly service to clean dinning area you are a 10/10. I had the mushroom Alfredo with tortellini and asparagus and I am blown away. The sauce was creamy without the over bearing flavor of butter. I will def return!!!

I don't get pasta as take out often but when I want it, or if it's been a long day after work and I don't feel like cooking, I get Lilly's. Everyone I know in the Mission Hill área can attest to their huge portions and good pasta. Their interior is small but cute. They have a board up with the different types of pasta showcased. When I get Lilly's, it's my dinner and lunch at work the next day. Always reliably good food.

Small interior but lots of selection and easy to order. I ordered the Carbonara, which looked beautiful but ended up being scrambled eggs with bacon, and Alfredo pasta. The eggs were added too quickly causing them to scramble. I'd love to come back to try something else, but sad this Italian staple wasn't made well :(
