Secret Sichuan Wings and Other Miami Restaurant Openings This Month | Eater Miami

"Now scooping at Biscayne Commons in North Miami Beach, Lily’s Handmade Ice Cream brings its family-owned Delray Beach shop south, making ice cream in-house with all-natural ingredients and no preservatives or artificial additives; look for 12 signature flavors such as Dusty Monkey (brown sugar–infused banana with Biscoff cookies), Fairy Floss (cotton candy with rainbow sprinkles and frosted animal crackers), and Wolverine Delight (cake batter with brownies, sprinkles, and cookie dough)." - Laine Doss

This homemade ice cream spot not only is a huge blast from the past, but also makes some delicious desserts. First off, the retro decor and vibes are absolutely immaculate. It really feels like you’re stepping back in time into an old school ice cream parlor. The place is spotless, and the staff are friendly, gladly offering up tastes of any of the treats. This is some of the best ice cream I’ve had in the area, and you can absolutely taste the freshness and the fact that they make it all right in the back of the shop. It’s super creamy, not too sweet, with really pumped up and prominent flavors. Treat yourself to a scoop or two in this great spot, and you’ll be glad you did!

Google
This is my new favorite go to ice cream place. As a new first time customer, I have to say this is a great hidden gem. There are tons of flavors to choose from! After trying a few, it was a hard decision because all of them are absolutely delicious. You can tell its homemade. The store was clean. Great seating inside and outside. Mariana was great and had exceptional service. Our new favorite ice cream place!

Google
This is by far the best ice cream shop I’ve ever been to! The flavors are fresh and delicious, and the quality is amazing. What really makes it stand out is the customer service—absolutely top-notch. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and goes above and beyond to make sure you have a great experience. I’ll definitely be coming back again and again. Highly recommend to everyone!

My husband and I were so excited to try out Lily’s after reading such incredible reviews online and I’m so glad we did! The homemade ice cream flavors are so delicious, the vibes are welcoming and Tao was so kind and friendly. We’ll definitely be back! Thanks so much guys!

Google
Lily’s is the BEST ice cream I have had since moving to Florida 2 years ago. You can tell all of the ice cream is homemade. It’s so creamy and delicious. They have such unique flavors that combine all of my favorites into one (like wolverine delight which has cookie dough, brownies, and rainbow sprinkles!!!). The rewards system is awesome I always put my number in and get points which really do add up. The people who work there are patient and never give me a hard time about sampling flavors. The atmosphere is so cute. You absolutely must get a waffle cone sometime, they make them fresh! Love you Lily’s!!

Google
This is the best Ice cream I’ve had in my life, and I would call myself quite the ice cream enthusiast. The workers are extremely kind and the service is amazing. There is a wide variety of flavors unlike anything else. I heavily recommend

Google
Lily’s is absolutely amazing, with so many unique and delicious flavors to choose from. The ice cream is incredibly creamy and fresh, and you can tell it’s made with high-quality ingredients. The staff is friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even better.

Google
The best ice cream I've had in a long time. Everything is homemade, and all the ingredients are premium and natural! Definitely coming back for more!!

Yelp
Highly recommend getting a topping here! They really load it up so you get a bite of the topping with eat bite! I tried their seasonal Ube flavor. I tried a few other flavors that were also amazing but I only wanted one scoop. I wish they would allow half scoops or 1 scoop with 2 flavors, so I could have both flavors I really enjoyed. The ice cream was very rich and flavorful and they have a lot of great flavor options.

Yelp
After a nice dinner, we were looking for a dessert place. I saw the handmade ice cream and was intrigued. The place has got the old time feel of a soda shop from the past. They have some interesting flavors and everything is kosher (even the gummies are, which is unusual). They have some vegan ice creams, too, though none were available for a scoop when we visited. But, you could buy a pint if you wanted. We wound up getting a couple of flavors and shared. It was a great find. Best in south Florida? That's a lofty claim they have on the wall, based on a local news article. Probably not. But it was really good. Nice find.

Yelp
Lily's was the last stop on my ice cream tour with my 9 year old. I had officially run out of room for ice cream, but my son said it wasn't possible for him. I did take a taste of the wolverine flavor, which was good but super sweet. And then the nice employee insisted i try the double espresso. So good- Ill get that next time! My son got a kiddie cup of mint chip with andies mints. He promised me he would only have a few bites since he was all sugared up, but apparently impossible to not eat an entire kiddie cup of ice cream this good. I noticed they are a kosher establishment, which is helpful for my relatives who keep kosher. I look forward to visiting Lily's with (and without) them in the future!

Yelp
Hey Foodies we just visited the best Ice cream in South Florida. It{s actually voted by sun sentinel as the best ice cream of south florida of 2024. And they are about to open 2 more locations in boynton beach and north Miami . This is Delrays local hand crafted ice cream shop. They use the finest ingredients and make delicious and unique flavors. Their dairy is locally sourced. They even have vegan and no sugar added versions and kosher. We started with their giant oreo filled with a cookies and cream ice cream. It was a dream. The ice cream was smooth and definitely something you get from a tub. You can tell its made with love. We also go their block buster sundae which has every candy you can imagine. It's a movie night in a cup with kinderlla ice cream, M/Ms Reese's pieces, hot fudge and whipped cream. The total indulgence you need during these hot south Florida months.

Yelp
One of. My favorite ice cream shop. The flavors are original and and they make you feel like family
google avatar

Robert G.

Yelp
Came here for their famous sundaes. I ordered the OG Sundae but wanted to change the flavor of the ice cream. He said no changes allowed and had to get the create your own for $12. So he simply made the same sundae with the 2 different flavor ice creams and did not even ask me what toppings I wanted. To top it off they ran out of whipped cream which makes the whole sundae when you add the sprinkles. I was aggravated that an ice cream shop such as this one would run out of a staple item like whipped cream. Sort of like Starbucks running out of coffee. And it's not like there is not a Publix a minute away to purchase whipped cream. The ice cream was good but was to aggravated to enjoy the $14 sundae. The ambiance was typical of an ice cream shop.

Yelp
The hotter it gets the more you'll love this place. You'll always want another scoop. They can do no wrong. Anything chocolate or with brownies or with nuts or with cherries so some nostalgic flashback that you forgot about like banana pudding or creamsicle. All of it is good. I've normally visit late night and there is always a crowd. People are friendly and service is warm And helpful. If you are between flavors just take a pint to go and a cone or ice cream sandwich for the ride home.

Yelp
First, I love that we were greeted with a smile when we came in. I was not disappointed with the original flavor mixes they have here. They ran out of sampling spoons, though, and we couldn't try the Ube before we ordered. Seems like they could easily have used the regular sized spoons, but apparently that's not allowed. The two people working were super nice and helped us quickly. I'm sure they are doing the best they can under the circumstances. When I wanted a dopio, she said they're out of cream. When I asked for a small drop of vanilla ice cream, she had to give me a full scoop & charge me for it. The cafe is too cute though, and it looks like it's a local favorite. I get it, but these little things seem petty when I'm paying $5 and scoop. That being said, the quality of this ice cream is smooth and creamy. The flavors are NOT very strong, but they're unique and tasty.
google avatar

Thea Z.

Yelp
A bright and colorful shop you can't help but instantly be in a good mood when you walk in. The ice cream itself is pretty average and so are the flavor creations. I wish the folks working there reflected the vibe of the place. I tried to bring a smile to the guys face but no luck. A best seller is chocolate with chocolate chips and Oreo (Florida swamp - not sure how the name fits). It's good but nothing to rave about. My dad had a cookie dough one and it came with cake batter ice cream, it was an odd flavor combo. I wish their toppings were displayed clearer, they are in small jars behind a glass with other things in the way. Ample seating, a bit pricey, and ok ice cream. Not sure I'll return as there are many other places to try around here but it'll do if you're in the mood for ice cream and are nearby.

Yelp
My sons and I stopped in on our way back to my family's house after an afternoon at the beach. I was looking for coffee but was excited to treat the boys to some hand made ice cream. We were greeted by a nice gentleman and given all the details about the treats. We ordered a dirt worm sundae and a cookie ice cream sandwich. The treats were so good there wasn't much for me to taste. We will definitely be back. Everything was high quality and packed with flavor.

Yelp
Lily's Handmade Ice Cream is some of the best ice cream I've ever had. They offer a variety of flavors for every sweet tooth. The ice cream server eagerly provided us samples of at least half of their flavors, one better than the other. The South Florida Swamp is probably my favorite. I know vanilla is boring, but theirs is great. Lily's services many local businesses. It has a 1950's diner vibe with a few tables inside and out and a take out refrigerator.
google avatar

Tiffany M.

Yelp
Lily's is a wonderful family owned and operated ice cream shop that sources the best milk, which happens to be from Florida cows. I have visited a few times when I am in the area and the quality is consistently good. The staff are very nice and ordering is always a breeze.
google avatar

Sheree W.

Yelp
So many flavors to choose from! The ice cream was delicious and there was a great variety of toppings to choose from. The staff was very friendly and allowed me to try quite a few flavors before I landed on the Biscoff and banana ice cream and homemade cookies and cream. It was a bit expensive like most specialty ice cream shops, but I think that for the amount of ice cream we got it was worth the cost. Atmosphere is really great and reminds me of a retro diner. Really cute place for a date night or dessert after going to the restaurant next-door.
google avatar

Rafael H.

Yelp
The ice cream is very good, unfortunately the young kids that they have working there have an attitude, and seemed frustrated that they were busy. If the owners want the business to do well they should hire people who like dealing with the public.
google avatar

Dustin S.

Yelp
Simply the best ice cream in Delray. Legendary establishment because of their legendary ice cream. A real treat!
google avatar

Roger M.

Yelp
The best ice cream I have had in South Florida, so far. And I know a thing or two about ice cream. The vegan flavors are good too. Ice cream is based on quality ingredients, of course. But it has a lot to do with the amount of air blown in, the fat content, and the sugar. Too much air or too little fat, and the mouth feel is wrong. Too much sugar and it is too sweet. Lilly's gets it absolutely right. Rich flavor from the fat content, not too airy and just the right level of sweetness. It does not taste like the kiddie stuff in those big places with clown faces. This is the real deal. The server knew what she was doing and the owner was in back to answer questions. I urge you to come here. Support decent ice cream in South Florida and give your mouth a treat.
google avatar

Sandy M.

Yelp
Stopped for dessert and really enjoyed the great flavor options of homemade ice cream. Also liked not a chain and natural ingredients

Yelp
First time customer today to Lily's Handmade Ice Cream and I will say without a doubt, I will definitely be back. As soon as I walked in the cleanliness of the place struck me and I felt very comfortable about eating there. I went over to the beautifully laid out counter and it really was a tough decision which ice cream to pick but I chose the peanut butter. I chose the cup size and then felt like splurging so I added hot fudge on top. Great idea!!! I actually was surprised at the cost of this delicious homemade ice cream because I always pay more at the franchise located across the street for the ice cream they get delivered in cartons. I chose a table, ate the most delicious ice cream ever and told Michael how impressed I was with it as he was busy behind the counter. Lily's puts their everything into this business! I was in awe learning how much they care. In this day and age it is rare to find real ice cream and real flavors but Lily's is the real deal!! I highly recommend it to everyone looking for REAL ice cream like you remember from your childhood and want for your own children and grandchildren. No fake stuff!! Treat yourself to the real deal!! The ice cream and the service are unbeatable!! I'm always looking at my calendar and planning when to go back.

Sheila A.

Yelp
I believe it's the best ice cream in Delray Beach. I've tried many flavors, but my favorite is the chocolate chip mint.
google avatar

Nicole C.

Yelp
Lily' handmade ice cream is so delicious! You can tell they use the best ingredients because the ice cream is so flavorful and creamy! They have many unique flavors. The decor is cute and inviting.
google avatar

Maurice R.

Yelp
The ice cream is good and it's kosher which must meanfor the enormous bill for a shake and a small cup.
google avatar

Yelp
Really cute ice cream store next to Poppies. If you're a fan of ice cream (vs gelato or custard), check this place out. In addition to vanilla and strawberry, they have quite a few unusual flavors to scoop, plus more varieties by the pint in the case along with ice cream sandwiches and cakes. The owner, Ron, was friendly and gave us tastes of several flavors. He mentioned his daughter, Lily, is the artist who painted the signs in the store - make sure to check out the mural in the bathroom! They make all the ice cream on premises and supply many local businesses. Even though this place has been here for several years, we just learned about it while shopping at Captain Clays! We ordered the pistachio and spumoni flavors. Both were delicious. As they had so many unusual flavors, I asked Ron about my favorite flavor: black sesame. He said they only make it for a local Asian restaurant, but before I left, he gave me a sample! It was great. Re: the vanilla ice cream: while its ingredients are incredible and well sourced, it tasted more like milk to me rather than the strong vanilla flavor I was hoping for. We will be back to try their sundaes. I read they make their hot fudge and whipped cream in-house!

Ted T.

Yelp
The most outrageous home made ice cream This is the best place in all of palm beach It's unbelievable creative flavors hit the stop all the time!!
google avatar

MARVIN S.

Yelp
Excellent-- it's a real TREAT - This is a down to earth experience. Nothing fancy, very relaxed atmosphere. Unusual flavors and they're all delicious.

Richard B.

Yelp
High priced and the counter girl had no clue. The ice Cream wasn't that good to begin with. For 1 cone and 1 sundae it was $20.
google avatar

Alexandra C.

Yelp
Lily's is hands down my favorite ice cream shoppe! Their ice cream is so delicious and they drop new flavors pretty frequently. They have a rewards program if you sign up for texts

Amy S.

Yelp
$12. Pint. I don't think so. Not sure why it's not full. Very expensive and very underserved.
google avatar

Erin L.

Yelp
Lily's could come across as just another shop jn a strip mall, but that would be a bad call on any ice cream lovers part. The decor was fun, the ice cream selection was impressive and we were glad to go with the large sundae that my son gave two thumbs up. I'd give Lily's four stars, but the young man serving us gave me an issue when I requested three spoons for our sundae for myself, my son and my mom. I explained that it was a lot of ice cream and am we were sharing. He said there was a store policy which I found strange and unnecessary. Overall, great ice cream shop... maybe it's a bring your own spoon kind of place.
google avatar

Wendy S.

Yelp
Excellent ice cream hand made really good. Very friendly service, clean, etc They even do Uber eats !

Louis H.

Yelp
Live near there and have gone in 5 times, the first few times were great the last two I got a stomach ache and the last time it was so crowded and the ice cream look partially melted. Won't be going back
google avatar

Christa S.

Yelp
Can we say scoopilicious!! This handmade ice is by far the best ice cream I've had. Each of their flavors is truly unique. I had the Dusty Monkey and if you are a banana fan this ice cream is for you. I felt like a kid eating that ice cream. Yum The shop is very colorful and welcoming. The staff are friendly and have no problem letting you have a taste to make sure you get exactly what you want. So if you are in the area I highly suggest checking this place out. O and for my gluten free friends they label each flavor that is gluten free.

Yelp
I went to Lily's for an elite experience a little over a week ago with my boyfriend. Lilly's is tucked away in a quaint strip mall and walking past I would've almost guessed it was closed! Walking in The interior was very cute like an old school ice cream shop. Bright colors and a long list of different flavors. I opted for the boozy coffee ice cream and a churro flavor. My boyfriend got two chocolate based flavors. The boozy coffee was a little strong at first, but the flavor was amazing and I loved the texture of the ice cream. I was not a fan of the espresso beans in the coffee though. The churro flavor was my favorite as you got this sweet cinnamon ice cream with little chunks of actual churro inside. I like how their sign outside said handmade I cream, I found that a little more appealing than the sign on their door saying "homemade ice cream". Handmade sounds a little bit more luxurious. I would go back to Lily's in the future for the Churro flavor and to try the pistachio as well.
google avatar

Kim L.

Yelp
Very cute ice cream spot. Usually for an event we get a nice intro none was given just pick your flavor. Blah! Sometimes being personal is a good way to get the word out. That was a turn of for us. I would say the ice cream was amazing and richness and the fun flavors really made up for the lack of service. Wasn't too busy but still took a good 5 mins to be helped. The night at the movies and coconut where amazing. Hopefully it was just a end of the night thing. I would definitely return the ice cream was very good!
google avatar

Andrea U.

Yelp
Lily's staff came to our community for an ice cream party. Handmade espresso, vanilla & south Florida swamp which is Belgian chocolate with Oreos and chocolate chips were scooped. The mini chocolate chips, colorful sprinkles, sugary nuts, fudge, caramel sauce and whip cream for a real treat. Thank you Lily's!
google avatar

Steve G.

Yelp
Like their ice cream. Preordered a pint of Vanilla to pick up. Was surprised it wasn't hand packed but was very good. Next time will stop in to order.
google avatar

Yelp
My Family have traveled far to try different ice cream parlors with similar claims of 'homemade ice cream' and they were merely claims. Lily's is absolutely home made and delicious. I am so happy we came here today for the 1st time. A true Ice Cream parlor and Ice Cream that is served in many restaurants in South Florida.

Rosemary T.

Yelp
Love this place! Great service and the flavors are amazing! A great local family owned business

Yelp
I really do like ice cream. But to be honest I'm more of a purist or a traditionalist. I don't care for my ice cream to be filled with a ton of things and especially don't like cookies or cake of any kind mixed in. I'm okay on nuts or chocolate chips or even fruit -- as long as it is not all at the same time. So I'd read a lot of positive reviews about this place and wanted to try it. And the two small cups that we got we did like. We chose their kiddie cups as we were fairly full from lunch, but wanted a bit of a dessert sweet treat. The problem was that there were only two kinds that appealed. My husband actually got their vanilla. And I chose the other one, their butter pecan. All the other flavors were on overload for me. Was the butter pecan good? Yes, it was fine. And the people were quite nice (mother and son). All the ice creams are house made by them at the store. They will do well, especially located near the deli that was packed the day we stopped by. They have indoor seating and a couple tables outside, too. I'm glad we went. Now we know.
google avatar

Alana E.

Yelp
We split a large sundae. The flavors of ice cream we had were awesome but the presentation had much to be desired. They had a small cup with 3 flavors stacked on each other so you couldn't get to them all at once and the toppings were overflowing everywhere. Considering I was splitting this I couldn't get to the flavor I wanted without having to eat everything off the top. By the time I got to my flavor there was not really much topping left and it was runny. Also, they have crazy names for their ice cream (which is fun!) But no description of what the flavors are so we held up the line asking questions which could have been avoided with a simple description. They have an awesome following and I wouldn't write them off I just wish the sundae was served differently. Staff was super nice and accommodating though!
google avatar

Yelp
Good homemade ice cream with friendly fast service. One look you know this is a family owned business that stacks up to any big chain. It has new flavors and toppings all the time

Yelp
It's already an early summer and I brought my daughter in to cool off after a park playdate. We had ice cream for lunch and it was quite refreshing since the sun thinks otherwise. Take that 90 degrees! The shop is bright and colorful. The funky decor and signs makes it pop as well as the creative flavors. My daughter kept it simple with a kiddie scoop of vanilla ice cream with sprinkles and gummy bears. I went with a milkshake and it was well loved. It came with three scoops of ice cream and I picked caramel explosion, peanut butter, and vanilla. The drizzle was peanut butter and the Reese's peanut butter cups topped the shake. So, so good! The excellent service was fabulous. The staff did a great job with explaining what was in the flavors and keeping the place spotless. You can sit inside or outside and you can even go to the bathroom in style. It's definitely worth a stop if you're in the area for a quick sweet treat.

B Elisabeth R.

Yelp
Delicious ice cream in interesting flavors. Very friendly manager and staff. And the ice cream is kosher. An old fashion ice cream parlor with delightful ice cream choices. lots of interesting sundaes. i am an ice cream lover and highly recommend Lily's Handmade Icecream parlor.

Yelp
Yummy!! If it is time to eat ice cream then eat really really good ice cream!! Homemade in small batches. So good toppings are not needed
google avatar

Joel Jz Z.

Yelp
My day was just complete! I decided to stop off for a scoop of the best Home made ice cream in Palm Beach. We had the 2 scoop, 1 Carmel and 1 chocolate flavor each one was filled with lots of love and flavor. I loved it so much that I took a pint home. And as we were leaving, the owner let us know that Tuesday is buy one Sundae get one free!! I can't wait till my next visit.

Yelp
We pass Lily's Ice Cream quite a few times during the week, so it's been on my radar as a place to check out. The shop itself is nice enough, but the decor and vibe is quite dated. Also, the tables were dirty, as were some of the "clean" napkins in the napkin holder. Overall, things felt neglected. When we arrived to the shop, there were 2 workers behind the counter. One was working hard, one was sitting on a stool looking at their phone, so the line was slow moving. I found this to be a little irritating. The ice cream itself was alright. The flavor selection was pretty standard and the quality was OK. It was just short of $6 for a cone with 1 scoop. Is that alot? It seems high to me. Four cones cost over $25. Seems excessive. Overall 3 stars. Decent place, unremarkable ice cream. It is Kosher which is a plus if you keep Kosher. Probably wouldn't return though.

Richard M.

Yelp
I had a coupon for a free ice cream cone, but they refused to give it to me because they changed their system. I have carried the coupon in my wallet for a year and forgot about it. I could have used it many times. The man made 2 cones and would rather throw them out then honor my coupon. Bad Business DANGER DONT GO!

Candice A.

Yelp
A new place for me! Asked for an icecream shake (since they didn't offer frozen yogurt) and wound up spending $9.10 for a regular size :( No way will I go there again!!!!! I don't care if they make their own icecream.....it's way too OVERPRICED and not fair with this economy!!!

Yelp
I've heard only good things about Lily's and decided to check it out myself. I love ice cream - who doesn't? And lily's happens to be very close to my house. I was surprised to drive up on a Saturday eve and find a line because it is located in a small shopping center which is not usually busy. After studying the ice cream flavors and all their possible toppings, i shared a sampler dish of 4 scoops with my cousin. We chose Glazed Walnut, Mint Choc Chip, Cherry Vanilla and a Caramel Explosion all topped w homemade whipped cream. We sat at an outdoor table and devoured the dish in a short amount of time as we watched the never ending line of customers come and go. The price of $16 including taxes seems a bit much for ice cream even if we are splitting the cost, but it was still a bargain if you were to buy by the scoop of $4.95 They also had a nice selection of vegan options and several sugar free options. Parking was easy and the gentleman scooping our ice cream (who may have been the owner) was very pleasant considering the crowd. We were given a punch card for a free ice cream after 10 purchases and reminded of the Tuesday Special - buy one sundae and get one free! The only negative to speak of was it seemed they were a bit overwhelmed by the crowd and had trouble keeping up with cleaning tables. I will return again at at a quieter time.

Jennifer T.

Yelp
very nice serves hand made tasty and very nice workers and positive all the flavors taste very good and the shop looks really clean inside
