Best Tacos in Bucks County | Eater Philly

"Lima Fusion, located in New Hope’s bustling Ferry Market, is a Peruvian dining spot serving up popular menu items such as empanadas and ceviche along with tacos with your choice of filling, including shrimp, chicken, beef, fish, and vegetable options. Order your favorite type of tacos and complete the meal with a side of yucca fries served with zesty huancaina sauce." - Kristen Kwiatkowski

Wasn’t the first but will be the last for us to come to Lima fusion. Today we actually came down to New Hope from Peddler Village just to have Peruvian food in here because a year or two year ago we had lunch and was good. But today it was really disappointing even my gringo husband knows which better and which wasn’t. He got lomo saltado like always. Everytime we were in Peruvian restaurants because he ordered that, is his favorite dish. So seems they cuts back on sauces in every dish they have. Lomo saltado was dry and they didn’t use French fries like it’s should. They use cubes fried potatoes. I got myself bistec a la pobre from today special, first of all the price is not match with the writing boards and their flyers (see pics attached) lomo saltado price and empanadas I asked them she said $3.75 in the board & flyers $3.50. Back talking about the food, the steaks was cold and lots of fats all around the meat definitely overpriced for $24.50 the writing board written $23.50. Papa huancaina wasn’t steamed potatoes, they were the same potatoes as they used on lomo saltado (similar like home fries but bigger size) and I didn’t see any boiled eggs at all also they should be covered with yellow sauce but like I said before they cut back their sauces, they being cheap and charged more money. I’ll give 2 stars just because the seasoning taste is good and the lady that work at the cashier was friendly. Well you’ll lost one customer today. We will not going back here, we almost spent $70 and unhappy customer. Good luck!

Google
I ordered the fried plantains with chicken which also comes with salad, pico de gallo and guacamole. It was very good. The plantains were light, perfectly crisp and nicely salted. The chicken was just okay. Although it was heavily seasoned, the flavor didn’t blow me away Next were the empanadas. Not impressed. The dough had some good texture but the fillings were dry and bland. My grandmother can make better. I had the beef and the chorizo with cheese. I’ll skip these next time Finally, the beef arepas was excellent. The white corn tortillas seemed homemade and the meat was expertly cooked and seasoned. A refreshing chicha morada accompanied my meal. I will be back but I think I’ll skip the empanadas

Google
I’m really disappointed the empanadas were terrible “Chicken empanada” was very dry “Beef Empanada” had slight seasoning and the “Chorizo & Cheese” well let’s just say there was only cheese. The Mexican street corn was ehh the corn wasn’t sweet and the over powering of the sauce killed it. The best part about my lunch was the pastry wrap for the empanadas.

Google
Everything was great, however I order a steak bowl and received 4 pieces of steak, about one cup of rice, and barely any beans. It was Farley good but for $16 I’m going to chipotle instead. Not worth the price.

Google
Awesome counter service food in the heart of the New Hope tourist strip. We tried the Chicken Anticuchero and the puff pastry camarones empanadas and loved both dishes - and the little pico salad was fabulous. The Chica Morada beverage was definitely worth the price as well. And, they handled my food allergy competently and without any fuss, although did need a reminder and a remake during a busy lunch rush. It was challenging to find a place to sit at a busy time, but we did. The two of us ate and were happily full with no leftovers for $31.01 after a 20% tip.

Google
I absolutely loved the lomo saltado! I had a craving for steak and this absolutely hit the spot. The dish was so flavorful and perfect. I highly recommend their food. Everyone was so friendly. You can tell they cook with love.

Google
As a Peruvian family in America, we think peruvian foods here in the states tend to vary in quality and authenticity much like any other foreign food. I can say the food here was AMAZING and met all my expectations and then some! The only food I believe was a little too thick for our liking were the tamales served, but everything else was prime! Seen here was the chicha morada (which I had mixed with an Estate Blush found in the bar nearby - great bartender and drinks there as well), lomo saltado, and tamales (though don't miss trying the camarones!)

Google
This place is amazing and the food was delicious! Especially their Lomo Saltado which goes great with any wine from the wine bar next to it.

Yelp
Lima Fusion is a hidden gem (tucked away in the back right corner of Ferry Market) for Peruvian cuisine! I tried the aji de gallina, and it was rich and flavorful, with tender chicken and creamy yellow pepper sauce. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. I'll definitely be back to try more of their menu including their homemade cookies! Highly recommend!

Yelp
Tried beef tacos and beef empanadas. The beef was tender but didn't like the flour tortillas and the sauce. The beef empanads wasn't flaky at all and the filling was just ground beef. There were no customers on line but had to wait about 10 minutes for food to come out.

Yelp
Great place for a quick bite in the Ferry Market on Main St. Everything is made fresh with care. Prices are reasonable. We had the chicken tacos and chicken empenada which were good. They carry a good number of dishes and have fresh ingredients. See my previous review. I would recommend them as a quick stop when you're hungry.

Yelp
Found this hidden gem inside the ferry market in New Hope. I haven't tried their dishes only the empanadas. The empanadas are stuffed with meat and wrapped in a warm, crispy, flaky, dough. The meat is packed with flavor and are so so delicious. I highly recommend ordering extra empanadas bc after I ate mine I regretted not buying more haha There was a long line and a bit of a wait however staff is limited and everything is cooked to order. Staff is beyond friendly. Prices are reasonable for New Hope. If you're looking for authentic Peruvian food you've come to the right place.

Yelp
Very good Peruvian option at Ferry Street Market. Had the chicken, rice and beans and got plantains too. Friendly staff and quick service. Very good!

Hannah B.

Yelp
I hate to do this but the "tender" peruvian beef stew was so tough my bf couldn't chew it so I immediately showed them how tough it was (I could barely pull it apart with my fingers). The "chicken fajita" empanada was shredded chicken with some seasoning and maybe a little cheese. When I asked if they gave me the wrong one, they said no. When I asked why there were no peppers or onions in it they said "it's in the sauce". There was no sauce. In fact I had to ask for sauce to give it some flavor. The spicy green sauce they gave me was awesome. They did offer a refund, which I accepted. Def. a shame and I hate leaving bad reviews-- it gives me no joy.

Yelp
I love Lima Fusion! They have amazing food! I love the Ají de gallina ! I wish I could eat there every day! The team is so hardworking and awesome! I recommend this place to all my friends!

Yelp
Really good in flavor and presentation, in addition to excellent service. Will definitely visit again.

Yelp
Very nice little older lady served us. Portions are perfect. Home made drinks are very good but no refills.

Yelp
my girlfriend and I were walking around new Hope waiting for our dinner reservations at a restaurant called Stella, we wandered into this market and found this amazing restaurant. We had the Tostones with guacamole and it was absolutely incredible. If we weren't eating dinner an hour and a half later we would've stayed and tried more.

Yelp
We visited Peddler's Village and New Hope in December and we needed food before we headed back home. We couldn't decide what we wanted so we wandered around New Hope for about half an hour before we found Ferry Market. We STILL couldn't come to a consensus so the three of us ate at three different places. Wifey chose Lima Fusion and got a Chicken quesadilla, two beef empanadas (one for me) and a salad. The quesadilla was very good-lots of chicken and cheese, but it was the empanadas, with light flaky croissant like shell that was the home run.

Yelp
The lomo Saltado is incredible. My only complaint is that I wish it were bigger. You really cannot go wrong with anything from here. It is usually one of the more busy booths. Tacos, empanadas, arepas, all very good. Made fresh you can taste it.
google avatar

Yelp
Little pricey for the amount of food that you're getting, but overall not bad. Employees are nice. Food takes awhile. The drinks they make there are always interesting.

Yelp
Yay to Spanish food in the new market! Lima Fusion is tucked away in a corner of the market and easy to miss, despite having one of the more robust menus in comparison to the other market vendors. They pretty much give you a solid glimpse of latin cuisine from ceviche, empanadas, tostones and roasted chicken! It is amazing how much they can whip up in that tiny space. We tried two different plates. The one was the Yellow Chicken and rice, which honestly was a miss for me. It was not very seasoned and just didn't really give you anything to rave about, so if you are more into lightly seasoned food, this is for you. The plate that really took it home for me was the chicken with tostones! This was flavorful, delicious, huge and well priced! My sister and I shared this plate and we both ate and felt full after. It also was probably because we each got an empanada before eating this! The empanadas were delicious, sadly it was toward the end of the day so they did not have as many varieties, but the meat one was so good! The food was made quickly, I am very impressed with Lima Fusion and am excited to try other plates from here.

Yelp
The food here is good, but to be honest the service is very disorganized and their process could use a bit of streamlining. First off take my advice and go for the cornmeal empanadas. I had both the cornmeal and the pastry empanadas, and the cornmeal was far and away the winner. It was crunchy, juicy and full of flavor. The pastry was not bad, but it was overly doughy and somewhat bland. Also props to them for their house made drinks, all of which are very unique. That being said they did seem scattered and understaffed. It took quite some time for my food to come out, and they began making people's food in an odd order, not by who ordered first as it should be. I'll give them another shot though, it might have just been a bad day when I went.

Yelp
Got a chorizo and cheese empanada. It came out super quick, and was soooo crispy, warm and delish. Amazing food and loved the hot sauce it came with. Worth a stop!

Hazel M.

Yelp
Tamale and Mexican corn was good and soooo delicious!!!!I need to go back again. Tamale had more masa than meat, but I like it that way.

Yelp
All we can say wow! This little food court recently opened in New Hope, and if you try it out, you MUST go up to the third level to try Lima Fusion. Two beef empanadas for $7- such a great deal, which is great for people who are gluten free. They have an assortment of delicious drinks like chica morada (a Peruvian purple corn drink that is so refreshing on a warm day). Their Mexican street corn is as good as it looks, and their yuccas are super addicting. Lima Fusion's ceviche is as delicious as their other two restaurants (El Tule in Lambertville and quinoa in Doyelstown), and they even offer a vegetarian one. We cannot say enough good things about their ceviche. We LOVE it. The owner Jack was so friendly and professional. We will definitely be frequenting Lima Fusion when we don't have time for a sit down meal at El Tule.

Yelp
5 stars based on the empanadas! Love love this place and keep coming back whenever I am in town. It is a family run place, mom, grandma, daughter work here and put their heart in their food. I am a big fan of Peruvian food as is but the empanadas that they have in window under the heat lamps are so so good. All of them are good but we often enjoy the peruvian chicken, beef, chorizo, ham and cheese the best! They have a spicy Mayo sauce that makes a perfect condiment! The empanadas aren't fried but more so baked ina very soft flaky dough that when fresh are delicious but if you need to put them in the air fryer for a few minutes are just as good! Oh and the drinks are also something to try! We love the passion fruit but have nothing against the chi cha!

Yelp
My bf and I didn't expect a small town like New Hope to have authentic Peruvian food, and we were so excited to stumble upon this little spot inside the Ferry Market food court! Cutting right to the chase, the sauce on the ceviche was citrus based, which provided a refreshing counterbalance to the fish. It had a nice tartness to it which was great to eat in between the heavier, fried food we got. My bf described the beef empanadas tasting as if they've been marinated in a stock, so they were rich in flavor. Sadly, I can't say the same for my veggie empanadas but I know that you can't judge empanadas on the veggie option- I would've loved if they offered a cheese option! :) the empanadas also came with an orange sauce that went well with them. The yucca fries came with the guacamole and I'd say this is a must try-- the fries were so crispy without being overly drenched in oil, they almost tasted like they were air fried. It seems like we received 2 giant tostones as well? Not sure if this is given for every meal but they were delicious as well. Can't go wrong with tostones! Overall a great authentic Peruvian place to try in New Hope if you're looking for a quick bite!

Yelp
I ate here today . It was AMAZING!! Best civiche ever , Flavors of all of their food was worth the trip . So good two thumbs up

Yelp
I liked Lima Fusion a lot. For those who don't know, it's in New Hope's Ferry Market. I ordered a chicken tamle. Tye service was quick and friendly. I'm no tamle expert but I liked the texture and the chicken was well seasoned. It was shredded but also had some nice chunks. I'd definitely try it again. And as a plus, Unionville Vinyards has a spot next to Lima so I enjoyed a glass of wine with lunch.
google avatar

Yelp
The lomo saltado was pretty good. BUT it takes ridiculously long for them to prepare. There wasn't anyone before me so it definitely wasn't bc of crowds. When the food was finally ready, they took forever to get me a to-go cover. The pregnant hangry in me was not happy.

Christopher B.

Yelp
Had some shrimp dish that was incredible. People were nice. In a new food court that can get drinks in. Will be back 1000%
google avatar

Daniel S.

Yelp
Had a good experience. Cashier was friendly and courteous. Got chicken empanadas and fries. Tasted great and wait was short on what was a busy day.

Abra C.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our dinner from here and appreciated the time and care that went into it. The empanadas were warm and delicious and the Chi Cha drink was tasty. What a great take-out experience!
google avatar

Yelp
I ordered the burrito bowl from Lima Fusion and it was amazing. Everything was fresh and service fast. Great place to grab a quick bite! My only suggestion would be that there should be more lettuce in the burrito bowl. :)

Jennie Z.

Yelp
We were really excited to find this spot for Peruvian food, but we're really disappointed with our order. We ordered the marisco paella, a special offered on the menu, and tostones for takeout. After a 15 minute wait, they hadn't started our order yet. When my husband asked about our order, then he saw them take the tostones out of the freezer to heat up, and then saw them scoop the paella ingredients from premade separate bowls. To have really good paella, you need to cook it all together. For all of these reasons, we did not enjoy our meal.

Alison W.

Yelp
This was an unexpected find! Stumbled into the market for coffee with a few people. Boyfriend came back from wandering with two empanadas. Sat down outside to try them and we were all shocked by how delicious they were! We had no expectations. We ended up coming back twice during our trip to order more empanadas and food. The staff were all so kind and patient with us deciding how many more items we wanted to order. Highly recommend and can't wait to come back!

Jacqueline Y.

Yelp
I was in town for a friend's wedding and my husband and I saw Lima Fusion from the Ferry Market's listing. I decided to try the Lomo Saltado for lunch today with an Inca Kola, and it immediately reminded me of my mama's cooking. Absolutely delicious and freshly made! I will be coming back for the alfajores and the Peruvian beef stew (seco de carne)!!

Sandra S.

Yelp
I loved my lunch! Had the Peruvian salad with chicken and it was fresh and very delicious.
google avatar

Iinda M.

Yelp
I was so tempted to order from here, but I saw one of the staff members repeatedly grab a food item with the parchment paper (as she should) but her long lime green nails always touched the food. Then she handed utensils to a client and didn't grab them By the handle but the part that goes in your mouth. Lastly as she ladles soup into container she grabbed the container from the inner part instead of the outer part. None of these I would have an issue with had she worn plastic gloves. I would work on these issues quickly.
google avatar

Vinnie M.

Yelp
Really fresh I had the fajita empanadas the beef tacos and a Jarritos pineapple soda . The tacos were so good we walked around New hope came back for seconds. Delicious

Jared M.

Yelp
This place has made me a fan of Peruvian food! I never had the chance to try Peruvian until I came across Lima Fusion. I stopped in the ferry market and while looking around I started gravitating to Lima Fusion it looked good and smelled even better. The owners was so nice and took our orders quickly. I ordered the Lomo Saltado which was really good! The steak was nice and tender and whatever sauce it is in was delicious. My gf got the aji de gallina which is her favorite Peruvian dish. She said it was incredibly good and on par to the places she goes to in Manhattan! We also split the yuca fries which were so nice and crispy and the sauce paired with it was lovely. We also asked for a side of hot sauce and they gave us some of their homemade jalapeño sauce. It was the perfect amount of heat and I enjoyed it on yuca fries and my lomo saltado. We also grabbed one of each of their empanadas for a friend and although we didn't try them, our friend raved about them. I would say this is definitely a must stop if your in the area. The owner is great and has great hospitality she really made us feel as if we were In her home.

L W.

Yelp
We came here to get takeout for lunch. We ordered the Tacos Mexicanos which is 4 corn tortillas, cheese, lettuce, Pico de Gallo and lime. We get a choice of steak, chicken or veggies. So, we ordered one of each. The cashier didn't ask us what our 4th choice would be and we assumed that they would give us our 4th taco. Instead, they gave us 3 tacos and not 4. They also messed up our order. We got 2 chicken and 1 veggie but no steak. I also ordered Seafood Paella. I loved this order and it was our favorite entree. A couple of negatives about this place. They told me it would be 15 minutes but it was more like 45 minutes. When we got here, the place was empty when we ordered. So, we thought it would be a quickie. I think they were doing other orders that came after us before we decided to stand there and wait. Also, Pennsylvania had the mask mandate still in effect when we were there. They weren't wearing masks. There is a notice on the door saying that if you don't wear a mask, they'll assume that you have a medical condition. I guess they all have a medical condition.

Ella G.

Yelp
Their chicken is to die for, the tacos were fantastic. Really authentic and delicious, and came out very fast. Must try their Peruvian chicken empanadas, it was one of the beat empanadas I ever had. This place is in the corner of the food court and needs more praise, we loved our food so much!

S P.

Yelp
The ceviche was incredible. Adela was very courteous and the service was prompt. All the dishes we ordered were very well made. Will definitely go back and recommend to others as well.
google avatar

Ashley S.

Yelp
I was so excited to see this place in New Hope's new market place but it was super disappointing. We ordered two lunch box specials: the arepa meal and the 3 empanada meal. The corn meal used to make the arepa was extremely dry. The sandwich is described as having avocado which isn't correct - there was a huge blob of guacamole loaded with red onions which I am not a fan of. The cashier recommended the arepa with chicken. The chicken was in a white sauce, which almost resembled chicken salad and was very bland. The corn empanadas were dripping with grease and they were not cooked fully through. Also, this place is not cheap.... spend your money elsewhere.

Sabrina B.

Yelp
10/10!!! Everyone should come here and try their empanadas! Make sure to get the jalapeño sauce!

Anna S.

Yelp
The most tasteless and dry tacos I ever had in my life. (I ordered the chicken tacos). Bland, filled with lettuce, absolutely no sauce or spices, and a few dry chunks of chicken. Wish I could get my money and meal back. My husband had the same opinion about his chicken burrito: bland, tasteless.
google avatar

Sarah S.

Yelp
This place is amazing. Staff is friendly. Food is great. Don't miss out on the chorizo and cheese empanada! Chips and guacamole are also amazing. Make sure you check in to get a free empanada.
google avatar

Jeffrey S.

Yelp
Grabbed a few empanadas to take home and boy were they delicious. Gonna have to go back and try some other things.

Yelp
An awesome experience in New Hope's Ferry Market. Super flavorful delicious food. Knowledgeable, friendly, caring and passionate team! My husband and I eat a vegan / plant-based diet and loved their vegan options. We had the veggie empanadas (wow, yum), a bit of one of the vegan friendly soups (again wow!) as well as a Lima salad (hearty, nutritious and delicious). We arrived for dinner just before closing on a Friday night and the team was still welcoming, extremely informative, and to be honest made our stop one of the most awesome experiences we've ever had. Major kudos again on the veggie food and caring team!! They could offer courses on how to welcome and care for customers. :)

Jose Q.

Yelp
Wow!! Awesome place. This is my first yelp review because this place is so great. Being Hispanic I am really impressed with the quality and authenticity of the food at Lima Fusion. I would definitely return to eat here again.

Jen S.

Yelp
I wanted to love my order but it was all too spicy. Looked good but didnt eat more than a bite of my pork tamale or elote. Sad. It took a long time and wasnt cheap. Please offer non-spicy options.
google avatar

Yelp
The Ferry Market food court is relatively new in New Hope. Great place and we were impressed by the selection. Lima Fusion, I believe, are the same owners of El Tule in Lambertville, N.J. We noticed that Lima Fusion was the busiest with people waiting for their orders. Quick service and really delicious. Well priced and fresh portions. The Inca Cola was a nice surprise as were the sweet potato fries for take out. Our lunch came just under $20 for both of us. As of now indoor seating is scarce so grab a counter or table. Well prepared for a take out. Loved it.

Bell P.

Yelp
Wow I cannot explain how good the food was. Everything about it to the puff pastry to the rice and beans, the owner's daughter was so nice and explained every thing I needed to know about the food thank you so much Lima fusion for the amazing food.

Edglar M.

Yelp
Ordered the must try yellow chicken. Very disappointed. Too pricey for the quality and quantity. It doesnt taste good.

Giulia D.

Yelp
The ceviche is quite good and the guy taking the order was very nice. Unfortunately, they might have some communication issue with the kitchen: our two ceviches came out both with different ingredients than what asked.
