Lima Shoreditch - Review - London - The Infatuation

"Lima’s third Peruvian spot is inside Shoreditch’s Sun Street Hotel. And just like sister spot Lima Cantina, there are classic Peruvian dishes like gambas and bluefin tuna tiraditos, miso sea bass, and alfajores for dessert. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

Absolutely loved the valentines menu we had. The fillet steak was the best steak I’ve ever had. The creativity and flavours of everything we ate was superb. Definitely will return to Lima. We also stayed at the Sun Hotel which is also superb.

The food is excellent. We were surprised and loved the new savours that we were introduced to. We were recommended to take 1 starter bite, 1 entrance and 1 main per person. We could have stop there as we were really full but given the quality of the food we wanted to tried the desserts, that were really good as well! It is for sure one of the best restaurants I have tried in London! The staff is also very nice and the vibe calm, which is greatly appreciated. The decoration is also very cool. I will come back soon!

Visited during their soft launch. The venue itself is very nice. It has a nice modern interior, the ceiling decoration is a nice touch, and the overall vibe is smart and relaxing. Lima is located inside the lovely Sun Street Hotel and is a short walk from Moorgate or Liverpool Street. The service is nice and friendly. I asked to move to a different table as the one we were given unfortunately had a wobbly top. Not the end of the world but it is disappointing seeing as the venue is yet to officially open. For our starters we selected the Ceviche Mixto Nikkei and the Cornish Crab & Octopus Causa - both were well presented and very tasty. The Cevichere sauce that accompanied the Cornish Crab & Octopus Causa had a nice spicy kick. Our mains were the Miso Sea Bass and the Octopus Al Grill, again the food was nicely presented and eye catching. Unfortunately the corn puree sauce overpowered the delicate taste of the Sea Bass somewhat, so I feel that needs a slight rework. The same thing can be said for the Octopus dish - the anticucho sauce and the eco dried potatoes were too flavoursome for the octopus. Both dishes were very nice but could be a bit better. Our desserts were the Chocolate Mousse and the Alfajores, and these were the real highlight of the meal. Absolutely delicious. We decided to stick with water as I really wanted my taste buds to concentrate on the flavour of the food, but they clearly have a great cocktail menu. We left the restaurant suitably full and satisfied but if you are hungry then I suggest picking more starters to share.

Came here last Friday for winning a competition held by Lima X Nightkey and was treated to a faultless meal full of such full fresh flavour, the ceviche starters were all utterly delicious, the wagu and lamb mains both tender and packed with umami punch then rounding off with a couple of sweet treats that hit the spot, along with some delicious Pisco sours to boot. Very attentive hospitality all round happy to explain the menu and offer insights of potential choices, have already been to Cantina so will have to round off the trio with Fitzrovia next!

We went for lunch. The place is inside the hotel, nice atmosphere, and good service. Food presentation is ambitious, taste is average but read further: Ceviche seasoning was a bit too sour to my taste, main courses used average ingredients compensating with excessive amounts of salt. Desserts were nice and balanced. Overall - recommend if you are in the area and are looking for a chill place for a light bite.

We ate in Lima last night and it was amazing. The staff were incredible with absolute 5 star service - especially Niran. The food was excellent and great portion size. Lovely wine options too. Price was actually very reasonable for London prices for excellent food! Would highly recommend and we will definitely come back.

We had a lovely dinner at Lima. The food was great and sophisticated and the plates were generous. We felt welcomed in this warm and elegant place, especially as the waiters were particularly friendly and thoughtful. We recommend you give a try to Lima and the Peruvian cuisine

Stunning! Such a gorgeous restaurant and hotel. Andrea the GM was a fantastic host, so knowledgeable and his recommendations were spot on. I love the Peking duck croquetas and the trio of ceviche. The Pisco Sours, and wine recommendations were also delicious. Wishing you guys all the success and thank you once again for an amazing evening.
