What a beautiful restaurant!!! Went here for “linner” and was still able to partake in the prix fixe lunch special. For $30, it was a really good deal. I definitely left full and satisfied. I could imagine that coming here for dinner could be pretty pricey, and I’m not sure if the food would be worth it then. However, for the price of the lunch special, the food was definitely worth it, and I would go back. The ambiance is amazing and makes this restaurant and must try. Very beautiful and classy. The tables by the windows have such a beautiful view of the lake and changing leaves. Our service was amazing too, but we came at an off time (around 2 PM) … so the place was not busy at all. Not sure how the service is when there are more patrons and the staff would be more stressed. All in all, I would definitely recommend this place for lunch and a view by the windows.

Limani has been a good restaurant addition to the area. But, we have found the food to be very inconsistent. We've had good tasty meals sometimes and bland and greasy food other times, which is frustrating. Recently, we had our usual dishes. The stuffed peppers had absolutely no flavor. The bread was so dry, like it was days old. The fried Limani chips were greasy and much smaller in portion. The fish was the only good dish for that dinner. The restaurant is beautiful and has a very relaxing vibe. Service is usually friendly and efficient. It's disappointing that we can't count on having a good meal every time we come here.

I like to come here on special occasions. The food is really delicious. The portions are quite sufficient. The staff is very friendly and attentive. I love Greek cuisine, they are similar to Turkish cuisine. If you want to try different cuisines, Limani should definitely be your first choice. Moussaka, octopus, baklava are my favorites. Only the taste and cut of the octopus was a little different when I last went, I think their chef changed, I'm not sure.

Limani was a restaurant that I was excited to eat in as I was observing it being built. Now that it’s here we were excited to try it. First the good. The food is amazing and the portions are generous. We loved the Zucchini, the octopus and the lamb chops. The flavors and textures of the dishes were amazing. Dessert was the perfect cap. Sadly, there’s a lot of room for improvement on the service. Our server never smiled at us and quite frankly, was a bit grumpy. No one was paying attention to us. We finished our main dishes and it took 20 minutes before finally, the bartender (bless his heart) noticed that we were waiting and approached us to assist. Our server never once revisited us and only showed up again to deliver the bill. My constructive criticism for the management is to please train your waitstaff to be more friendly and attentive. It’s a shame that your food which is great suffered because of the speed of service.

Went here for dinner on a Sunday night. We had to wait a short time even with reservations, it was packed! The restaurant is on the second floor so you need to go either up an elevator or some stairs. The staff was very friendly and attentive. When we were seated we realized that they must have had a couple people out that night. Despite this the staff was very efficient especially our server. took our orders and had our food to us pretty quickly. The drinks and food were all superb especially the appetizers which we all shared. Really tasted fantastic. For dessert we shared a baklava which when it came to us looked amazing as a tower of pastry on top of filling. I wanted to get a picture of this but the server was too quick and crunched it all up for us to share. It was pretty awesome for dessert, very tasty. Parking was plentiful with a big lot. Definitely has a Greek atmosphere to it. There were even three different birthdays while we were there. Certainly a place to go more than once.

"The food was excellent! I had the Sea Bass and it was cooked perfectly". The services was outstanding!! The staff was attentive and helpful, making my experience exceptional! Our waiter Orieta was so accommodating! Overall, the atmosphere, the service and food were perfect!

My two friends and I had a great experience atv the Seaport location. Every dish we had was terrific. Of special note was the tomato salad, swordfish skewers and chicken souvlaki. Deserts were yummy and big enough to share. The decor is bright and uplifting. Service was great with very attentive staff and managers welcoming us. Highly recommend. We will be going back again and again. A new Boston favorite.

Delicious food! Service was exceptional! Waiter and other staff were attentive and took empty plates right away and filled water glasses when just about empty. Made great choice pairings when asked.

Yelp
Located at the Street Chestnut Hill, this restaurant is very modern and the main dining room is on the 2nd floor. It is dominated by a bar and the tables are arranged on the side or behind it. There are two private rooms available for gatherings. The food is okay. I ordered the prix fixe lunch ($30 w/o tax/tip) and it offers enough variety. The dorado fish comes as a whole with the main bone removed. I wished a more substantial side came with it though as the one piece of broccoli is not sufficient. The Greek dips with pita is great. The Greek yogurt for dessert is a very petite portion. I literally had two spoonfuls and it was gone. Service is okay and the bathrooms are clean.

Yelp
We had lunch reservation for the party of 7 we intended to get Fixed 3 course menu of 3 courses that costs $30-38 per person, a decent deal. However upon arrival we were told that this won't be available for us because they only offer it to the party up to 6 people! This totally defeats the purpose of our choice for this particular restaurant. We explained this to the waiter and asked to speak to the manager to resolve this and get an exception as we were not advised about it when we made a reservation. The waiter resisted and said he won't call the manager as she is out, so I asked for the acting manager and explained we would have to leave for another restaurant nearby unless I speak with the manager. Then and only then did the waiter call manager and offered the fixed menu to 4 people in our party out of 7. While this conundum left a sour feeling, we decided to stay. Then we experienced a mediocre job from the same waiter who set the wine away from the table and then didn't show up to pour it. Then busers didn't clean dishes for some time and overall service was not good, certainly didn't match the food quality which was the only thing decent at Limani. We have been to Boston location many time, enjoyed it and recommended it to many friends, but after leaving south of $600 in the Chestnut Hill location and average experience, this will be our last time.

Yelp
Wow . Our experience could not have been worse. After we told the waiter three times that one of us had an allergy to garlic, he brought Chips with garlic and then after we ate them and asked if there was garlic-he said oh yes in the sauce there is.....When we tried to complain to a manager she said "you never told him you had a problem with garlic." All five of us heard it three times before the food was delivered. The person with the allergy got very sick and NEVER once did they apologize but rather accused her of lying about what she said to the waiter. In addition, the food was slow and the service was really awful. This would be the last restaurant I would recommend. How can they not understand food allergies AND common curtesy in the restaurant business? No surprise it was not crowded. Word is out.

Yelp
I recently (3/13/25 around 6pm) visited for a date. I arrived early and ordered a beverage at the bar. No one offered to hang my coat or assist me, which I found surprising. I also informed the hostess that I had someone joining me, but she dismissed me. When my date arrived, she seated him elsewhere without acknowledging me. He returned to the bar confused, saying he was unsure why he had been seated separately. No apology was offered by the hostess for the confusion. That experience aside, I usually enjoy their Chestnut Hill and Seaport locations. The food is consistently excellent, and the wine selection is amazing. I would still recommend dining here, but the hostess during this visit was very unpleasant.

Yelp
Very good service and ambience for the most part; the food was very mediocre. The gigante beans were hard and chicken soup oversalted. My husband and I split a $38 filet mignon kebab. The meat was chewy and tough to swallow. Our server asked us how it was and we told him the flavor was good but the meat was not tender. His answer: "maybe your husband got the tender pieces." Was hoping for something like " I'll mention it to the kitchen" or "let me give you a complimentary dessert."

Yelp
There was no host at the front upon arrival. She eventually did make an appearance, but the last thing you want is to have customers walk in and just stand at an empty front desk for 10 minutes. Not a great start. The grilled octopus was phenomenal as a starter. One of the best I've ever had. That dish was a stand out. $8 for Tzatziki. The dip was good. The pita was excellent. A basic staple dish I enjoy but just mediocre here. The Limani chips were pretty good. Fried eggplant and zucchini rings. The fry was perfect. They were light and airy. The only thing that wasn't right was the Tzatziki they bury in the middle at the bottom. It's the dip you don't find until you've eaten 3/4 of the dish. Imagine putting a blob of onion dip on a plate and pouring a bag of potato chips on it. You have to eat through most of it to even find the dip to use. Put the Tzatziki in a side bowl or something. The Limani burger was terrible. Super salty. Nothing was good about it. The onions and mushrooms didn't come together like I was expecting. Not sure why they don't go with a lamb burger topped with Tzatziki. That would have been better for the theme. Deconstructed Baklava for dessert. Cool concept but super sweet. Eventually gave up on it because of the sweetness. Baklava most places is insanely sweet. I can only eat a tiny piece. I should have known better than to have a full dessert of it Overall it's not bad. I just prefer less elevated Greek food I guess. It was expensive for being average.

Yelp
Very nice restaurant. Food was very good, was the service. I was very disappointed that after asking the hostess to seat us away from a large party with children, she offered us a smaller middle table, despite at least 10 other open tables away from this party. These tables were open from the time we got there until the time we left. So our birthday dinner was disrupted by loud children jumping up and down next to our seats, and the parents were oblivious. That had a very negative impact on our experience and celebration. There was no reason we could not have been seated away from this table. Terrible hostess.

Yelp
large group dinner on a sat night: service was painfully slow. We had to ask multiple times for water refills and to flag down the waitress to order our meal, bring our drinks and receive the check. I found the experience frustrating especially as gratuity is already included with a large group. The filet kebabs were ok. Not amazing. Some of our party really liked their meals but the whole evening took too long. I have been here before but more for drinks and appetizers and was surprised by slow service.

Yelp
Chicken rice soup: this was essential a can of progresso. I could have made this at home. Pasta: tasteless. Super basic and nothing extraordinary at all. As for the "lobster?" A literally empty shell of a tail and body left on the plate for aesthetics. It's presumed the lobster meat was inside of the pasta itself, but there is so much reason to believe that much of the lobster meat was missing. Final decision is that you don't need to eat this. Lamb chops: on first bite, way better than the lobster pasta, albeit a bit salty. After a few bites we came to realize that a whole section of each chop consisted of fat. Issa no for me dawg. Final decision is that you eat at your own discretion. Walnut cake: basic. Not horrible and not bad. Probably the best thing we ate for our dine out experience. Overall, you can go somewhere else for better food. The decor was lovely, but the wait staff left something to be desired. Definitely not the the most horrible of places, you can do better. Trust me

Yelp
My rating is actually a 3.5/5 Service (3/5) as the front desk person was the best part of the service. Server couldn't really answer questions well no matter if it was about the Greek beer or the menu items. Ambiance (4/5) it was nice, clean, modern Food(3.5/5) Eggplant app was delicious! Lamb chops were solid, the salmon needed more flavor, and the multiple desserts we tried were good. Overall i would eat here again but i wouldn't go out of my way to get there.

Yelp
The Chestnut Hill Limani gets 5 stars from me. I love the atmosphere and the scenery overlooking the trees and pond in the midst of the mall. Staff is always pleasant and attentive. Comp bread and olive oil on the table always fresh and a welcome starter. We get the same thing EVERY time because it's that good. FRESH giant jumbo shrimp cocktail. The Greek tomato salad with peppers, onion and olive oil is perfection. Zucchini chips. The Spanikopata is crispy and could be homemade. Whatever fish is being offered, usually Bronzino. And of course their martinis are the BEST with gin or vodka, extra olives.

Yelp
Great service from the moment we walked in! Absolutely beautiful room. Food was perfect - swordfish was moist and delicious, moussaka was among the best I've had, and the dip apps were great. Even the bread at the start was great. We almost didn't come due to the poor reviews on this site - they may have been from a different time. The general manager checked on us several times. We were literally overwhelmed by the great service. To top it off they had a live duo playing jazz standards. Great band! We'll definitely be back here and will try the seaport location next.

Yelp
Underwhelming for the price/representations of a mid to higher end restaurant. We regularly eat next door at Legal Seafoods, Bianca's and Davio's, and decided to try somewhere new for our anniversary dinner. The atmosphere was promising. That's where the compliments end. I ordered a salad with shrimp due to some dietary restrictions as a plan b when they couldn't make the entree I ordered work. The lettuce was obviously wilting and spoiled. For a $22 salad (not including the $20+ to add Shrimp) I was shocked. I've had better grab-and-go salads from grocery stores. I didn't bring it to the server's attention because the salad was so obviously and extensively bad I doubted sending it back would result in a second salad with fresher lettuce. I left hungry and frustrated. I also excluded a couple of items I couldn't eat from the salad - I was not offered alternative toppings and the salad actually came with the items I had excluded anyway. My partner ordered the beef kababs, no modifications. He said it was fine, but was likewise shocked by the price tag given the quality, both food and drink. Service was also confusing - our items came disjointedly. For example, I ordered the salad with shrimp as a meal, but the shrimp came long after I finished my salad and none of our items were served at the same time (so one of us always had something to eat while the other had nothing in front of them). We had a 6PM reservation, and the restaurant was completely empty. I will note the place was never crowded, which for a Friday night in Chestnut Hill is genuinely shocking. We weren't expecting mind blowing, but for a special dinner, a passable, edible experience would have been nice.

Yelp
What a gorgeous restaurant! The stools, tables, chairs, table clothes, napkins ... all of it were so carefully thought-out and creative. It's modern, chic, yet comfortable. The service was simply outstanding. The server was kind and knowledgeable, and not afraid to make recommendations, which illuminated her confidence! The food was good. We were not disappointed, at all. There were some elements of the food that could have been better, like the burger bun was super cold and hadn't been warmed or grilled at all, which seems easy to solve. Outstanding wine list, but the beer list pulled up very short. One of our guests ordered a "Sam Seasonal" and the fantastic Server didn't know what it was and had to go and check. Summer was what we were told and they ordered it to evaluate its freshness. It was from last summer ...! This is the norm for many restaurants, for the way beer is treated. But beer can be a great partner to food, as well. Consider revamping your beer program? Prices were a bit too high, which will be a factor for repeat visits.

Yelp
What an incredible lunch find in Chestnut Hill. I've been a few different times and great upper scale place with an occasional splurge/business lunch worthy $30 prix fix 3-course meal selection. Atmosphere/ambience: high-end Mediterranean modern. Open, airy, floor to ceiling windows, open concept, marble/granite, white/blue/black/gold palate. Regal without being too pretentious. Feels like you might be at the Four Seasons in some seaside Greek town. Service: host check-ins helpful and fairly present without being intrusive. Certainly a lighter staffing for lunch than what sounds like for very busy dinner, but it's easy to walk in or get a reservation the past few months. They're happy to have you. Wait staff are well-reserved in the menu, instructive and attentive when you want them to be, and in the background when you don't. Fair number of support staff coming around to clear plates, refill drinks, deliver food, and check-in on things. Very accommodating to bringing our infant a few times. Food: Just wow. I can't say I've said that about any lunch places before. It wasn't a question on whether to rate 4 stars or 5 stars for food portion. Such high quality, attention to presentation/detail, and perfectly cooked each time. Uncanny. The 3-course menu is a bargain at $30. It's a substantial meal. Highly recommend the octopus $8 upgrade on the first course, but the quattro of spreads is a winner, too, especially if people are sharing. You won't want to share the octopus! For second course consider the upgrade of the lamb chops as it's some of the best lamb I've had in a while both from quality and preparation perspective, but the Royal Dorado included choice is the way to go for second course for me. A few times we've gotten the chicken kabobs and it's a hearty reasonable portion. Juicy and not overcooked/dry. For the third course, The yogurt desert is a rich, deep yogurt with vibrant honey and nice candied berries. Shoutout to the olive oil and complimentary bread, too. A nice mild but distinct greek olive oil that is an pleaser and always warm pita bread with nice moderately crisp edges and fluffy doughy inside. They'll give you more if you ask, free of charge. There's a long lunch menu for a la carte ordering, and not everyone at the table has to do the prix fix luckily. Drinks: extensive bar menu, good Greek beers and more common domestic and international brews, and fortunately very long list of wines by the bottle and by the glass. I've had a few of the Greek whites that have been great pairings for the prix fix. Price: The $$$$ associated with the restaurant on Yelp make sense, but the lunch feels a little more $$$ for the $$$$ experience. Steal of a deal. I've been back and will keep coming back.

Yelp
This place is great and its our go to when we're in the mood for great yet simple greek/Mediterranean cuisine. Its on the quiet fancier side but we bring our young two toddlers during lunch hours and the staff is always welcoming. They have great selection of wine and their food is superb! I always go for their lamb chop and my kids love the crab cakes. The only thing i wish they had was more kid friendly menu since they dont have a separate kids menu or many pasta dishes. But nevertheless this is a great spot if you're also looking for a group lunch since this place is very spacious with ton of light!

Yelp
Worst dinner in memory This was supposed to be my son's 21st birthday celebration. When 2 members of our party arrived, they were each told we had 90 minutes to finish our meal once we are seated because they had 200 reservations that night. We sat for about 15-20 minutes before our server arrived. The bread was doused in oil and not edible and iced water requested was tepid. One drink (the canned cider) was delivered and the other three cocktails took 25 minutes to arrive and we still hadn't ordered. None of us liked the mixed drinks,-- the wine and canned cider were fine. Our waitress finally returned and asked if we had ordered, which we had not. Awhile later, 2 appetizers arrived, both were the same rather than one spinach pie and the other veggie chips. The veggie chips arrived about 20 minutes later. They were soggy and over salted. Some of the spinach pie weren't fully baked. The sauce and fried cheese were good. A half hour later one main course arrived. Nothing else. We all waited for ours to arrive and about 20 minutes later then all but one arrived. We waited. When we pointed out one didn't arrive, they said one of the meals was "made for two" and they came over with plates and serving spoons. It was clearly not for two and the manager confirmed this and got the replacement. You can see from the pictures posted, the small piece of overcooked swordfish had nothing but 4 giant uncooked rings of onion and one slightly charred tomato. My salmon was underdone, sitting in a pool of plain butter accompanied by barely steamed, cold, hard, unseasoned single chunks of broccoli, cauliflower, and 2 sticks of carrots. My son said it looked like a middle school cafeteria meal- which it was. He got a huge pile of pasta with a small amount of lobster in a a basic butter and lemon sauce. One got the pasta and meat dish and the béchamel was uncooked and had a raw flour taste. We complained at several points and the manager apologized and gave us our entire miserable dining experience on the house with an offer of desert. No thanks! We were nearly 3 hours and left angry and entirely frustrated. A free meal didn't make up for the miserable and disappointing milestone birthday. I can't believe this place is in business and the prices they charge for poor quality food is astounding. A real shit show

Yelp
The ambiance is absolutely beautiful, but I found the food to be overpriced and not as good as I had hoped.

Yelp
No host mid day. It was confusing if we should wait at the host stand or proceed past the bar. Food was fine. Do not expect a traditional East Coast lobster roll. Very small and skimpy in the lobster ingredient. $35. Manager offered a comp and we accepted. Just scored a "4 Ounce" roll surf and turf with a roast beef at Kelly's. Easily 3x the amount of lobster. Airport price with tax $25.

Yelp
Limani at Chestnut Hill opened just a week ago, and we were excited to be hip enough to be one of their first diners. Unfortunately, being avante garde comes not without risks, and like many new restaurants this one is still suffering from some operational teething issues. But first, the positives: 1. This place is just stunning. Whoever did their interior decor deserves an award for creating an elevated and tasteful space that hints at the Aegean without going overboard on the sea theme. 2. The food that we got was beautifully plated. 3. The food is well done. Oysters were sweet and fresh, and the zucchini/eggplant chips were a surprising standout- crisp, naturally sweet, with a delicious yogurt dip hidden inside the well of the veggie mound. 4. Great wine selection. And then the downside: The servers are clearly new and inexperienced, so waters weren't getting refilled, our server couldn't confidently describe the dishes (or provide definitive directions to the bathroom!) etc. which was still fine. But the kicker was that we ended up not getting either of the entrées we ordered even after what must've been an hourlong wait. (Our server attributed it to some confusion in the kitchen). We were full from apps anyways so ended up canceling the remaining orders that were clearly not coming. We were comped with dessert and coffee though (cappuccino was excellent). So, we didn't get to try the main dishes this time (we had been looking forward to the lamb chops and branzini) but I wouldn't mind giving them another shot in a few months when their operations are tightened up, and their wait staff have had a few dinner rushes under their belts.

Yelp
We planned a college graduation party at Limani because we found exactly what we were looking for: stylish food, a classy room, and great value, in a location convenient for people coming from all over metro Boston. But the real test of the restaurant came when a family member became gravely ill, we got phone calls summoning everyone to the hospital, and I had to cancel the party on (literally) 45 minutes' notice. Limani cooked and boxed up full meals for everyone, to take to the hospital cafeteria. They arrived still warm, and they were delicious and perfectly cooked. We were treated wonderfully by wonderful people.

Yelp
Expectations were high but results were unacceptable. We had a group of 10. Oysters weren't completely shucked and tasted off. 4/10 meals came out cold, not warm, not room temp, just cold. Nothing like $45 cold fish. Floor felt greasy when walked on and men's restroom ran out of hand towels, so they just put out a roll of toilet paper. I wouldn't recommend and quite frankly this type of experience just makes me want to eat out Less. Huge disappointment.

Yelp
Limani is a treat! It's a beautiful setting with terrific service and a delightful menu. While the decor is definitely upscale, the vibe is not at all stuffy. This is a great special occasion restaurant and a perfect place to meet a friend or colleague for lunch or dinner. Our kids and grandkids will be visiting soon and we will definitely take them here for the yummy and creative Greek food (we are a 50%Greek family ). They do a great job on fish entrees, the French fries are sublime (no catsup needed on these babies) and the burger looked amazing (haven't tried it yet). The "Sharable" Greek salad is expensive but so worth and the "loukoumades" are the best dessert ever.

Kristina C.

Yelp
A surprisingly lovely place for lunch. The prix fixe menu was a great value. Everything we tried was delicious. The service was very attentive. Wonderful selection of Greek wines. Can't wait to come back.

Yelp
Oh lord... I wanted to like this place. Food was decent, service was terrible (and it's hard to screw up on service as bad as this) but decor was beautiful. $5200 bill for a group of 30 for a corporate event. The menu was already set, just needed to choose the main course. Dishes were brought out at weird intervals and the dinner ended up being 3 hours! When dishes did come out, they had no idea who got what - it was a free for all. When refilling water, the waitress would randomly miss people at the same table and it took 3 tries to get them to fill my water. When shuffling dishes in and out, utensils were falling everywhere, you'd think they did it on purpose because of how often it happened. What annoyed me the most is how they left the private room door open when we were trying to have a conversation. What the hell is the point of the reservation fee. Something is seriously wrong with the service and I've never red flagged the service. On to the food, not bad but for what it's worth, the whole fish was filet and chefs left so many tiny bones, it was kind of hard to eat and messy. The appetizers were above average. The Greek salad however did not have any feta cheese and weird ratio of 95% tomatoes. Greek dipping spread was tasty. Octopus was good. I didn't have to pay as an attendee but I would not come back as a diner. Yikes

Yelp
I wanted to love this place. The decor is spectacular, a beautiful retro bar downstairs, perfect for a small reception. Then upstairs, a lovely waiting section, and then a huge wine and liquor display, and then on the other side, like a fish market. Strange, but striking and, the tables are very beautiful, as well as the glasses and plates and silverware. Now it starts to get dicey, when we talk about food and service. The young girl who sat us was perfectly nice, but she did not give us menus. When the waiter came over to take our Order, he finally noticed. Next, they brought us bread and oil. But the bread was A bit burned. I got the salmon, she got the lobster Panini. But first, I had lentil soup. Came in a gorgeous bowl, but very small, and not remarkable. At least it wasn't salty, so props for that. When he took our menus away, he also took our wine list, and he never asked what we wanted to drink. We had water with no ice to begin with, but my date needed to ask to have the wine list returned, and then he told her to get a red wine, but she told him she liked white, and ended up with a very nice glass of white wine. The salmon was gorgeous and delicious, also not too salty, kudos, Andy broccolini was scrumptious. Unfortunately, they brought my date a chicken Panini by mistake. It was easy to remember that it was lobster, because she asked for no mayo. About 10 minutes later, they brught over An additional free appetizer of Dips and flatbread. That was nice, and tasty. But it took another 15 minutes for the lobster Panini to arrive. When it did, there was no ketchup for the french fries, and The bread was way too big. More like Texas toast, and it was not a Panini at all, just a sandwich. Taking the top piece off, she noticed about a half an avocado in the sandwich, not very much lobster, but that's to be expected, if it's not overwhelmed by bread and avocado. I should also mention that when they brought my salmon, they attempted to take my fork and knife from me, claiming they would bring another. We had already seen a few service faults, so I put the kibosh on that. French fries were good. At some point, they asked if we wanted more bread for our oil, we said no, so they took the oil away. I don't think that was a good idea, but I certainly understand it, perhaps they can ask? My meal came with carrot cake at the end. The carrot cake was dense and dry, came with a sugary syrup, and sprinkled nuts and cinnamon. I'm sure they make it the right way, but not my cup of tea. Getting the check took almost 30 minutes. There is something on the menu that says lunch is guaranteed in 45 minutes, that was not the case today. I feel like if we come back, the service could not possibly Be this bad again, and I will return, to try the salad and mushroom dishes. It is a beautiful spot, overlooking the Hammond Pond.

Yelp
Came for dinner on a Saturday night. Pros: Nice decor Spacious Lively ambience, without being loud Cons: For the prices, the service was mehhh If the waiter could do any more than the bare minimum, like crack a smile, or explain some of the menu items, that would have been appreciated Over-priced - the 'recommended share plates', the limani chips and the tomato salad, just egregiously over priced at $25-30 for really nothing special.

Yelp
The second you walk into restaurant, Mediterranean meditation starts with music and excellent decor. Great food and excellent service

Yelp
Delicious meal at Limani!!! Best meal I have had in a long time. From beginning to end everything was great. The place was packed as it was a Saturday night and it was good to see the nice ambiance. We all commented on the delicious olive oil and wanted to buy a bottle to bring home. The shared appetizer we had was grilled octopus, to start, was well seasoned, cooked perfectly, and enough to share with 4 people. We had the tomato salad and Limani chips, both could have been a meal. We had a mix of fish (Mediterranean and a Tuna), a chicken dish and the halibut. All very well made and flavorful. The service by Mario was amazingly prompt and attentive. He was knowledgeable, entertaining, and gave us good suggestions. We were (more than) full but since everything was so good we ordered desserts, there was caramelized fyllo in every dessert but they were was all delicious;-) We will definitely be back and can't wait.

Yelp
Lovely, bright room, beautifully laid-out. Great, well-executed, Greek-themed menu, with updated/modern options (like, Greek Lobster Rolls!). But the best part here is the staff. I had an important, last-minute function to plan last month. Lots of complications and variables. Alex, the GM, was a superstar: so creative and helpful (Whatever they pay that guy is not enough: he went way beyond the call of duty to make the event a success). The entire staff was kind and thoughtful and professional. Just a fantastic place with fantastic people.

Yelp
This is the most beautiful restaurant in the Boston area. Primarily Greek and Mediterranean cuisine. It has only recently opened and has had it's problems with staffing but Primarily the air-conditioning. I was lucky to go on a cool day. I would call to see if it is fixed. The grilled octopus is wonderful. Several interesting fish to choose from which serve two. There is spanakopita as well as pasticho and mousaka. Do not expect gyro! Of course lamb chops and baked lamb with orzo. This place im sure will eventually get it together. It is a great addition to the area. The bottom floor offers a wine bar as well.

Yelp
Limani was a great dining experience! Perfect for a special event or evening out. The inside is gorgeous. Lots of beautiful decor. The menu had a lot of great options. I liked that I didn't feel to stuffed after the meal. Servers were very attentive and friendly. So many things to try. The salmon was great as well as all the appetizers we got. The prices were definitely expensive but everything tasted very high quality.

Yelp
I really want them to succeed. I have been here 8 or 10 times. Food is great but they need to improve service. I won't go into all of my visits but just a few things from my visit yesterday. - no one at the reception desk and had to go into bar area to get someone's attention (not terrible but has happened on all my visits) - ordered a bottle of wine (by name), he immediately said he thought they were out (happens so no problem). I ordered another bottle and he told me I had to give him the number instead of the name. He had already taken back the menu but rather than look it up himself, he gave me back the menu for me to look it up for him. - the worst one was this (I am retired and eat out every day at restaurants so I know how all good restaurants handle this). After our appetizer course, we all put our forks and knives on our plates. Waiter came to collect our plates and took all the dirty forks and knives off our plates for us to use for our main course. What do they think they are, a diner or dive restaurant? Nice, upscale restaurants don't do that. Anyway, I keep trying but they just can't seem to get their act together. It's a shame.

Yelp
Despite an interesting menu, the poor service and overall unprofessionalism were a total turn off. There was no one at the host station when we arrived for our reservation and dirty rags left there were definitely unappealing. Our server was not familiar with the menu and could not answer the question about which cocktails might be more tart than sweet. One of the starters we ordered never arrived. Our other starter, the meze plate did not come with enough serving pieces--two spoons for four items. Our silverware was removed and not replaced until we asked. We had difficulty getting someone to take our order for wine. As a result, we were mostly finished with our meals before we got the bottle we eventually were able to order. The food was lukewarm, as was the white wine. Overall, a disappointing experience from a restaurant that seems, from its prices, to want to be in the top tier.

Yelp
We ate at the new Seaport location, which opened 3 weeks ago. We sat at the bar. The food was spectacular. We had eggplant/zucchini chips with tzasiki. Staff was attentive and manager introduced himself. We have been back two more times, our favorite place!!

Yelp
The reviews I've seen posted are not in line with our dinner experience last night. We reserved a high top but when we arrived the bar looked a little lively so we moved there instead on check-in. Having limited experience with Mediterranean food, we fudged our way through the order asking for help with pronunciations along the way. Our bartender, Artid, helped us pronounce a number of dishes and explained the differences to us. We tried the Melizanosalta spread (which we can now pronounce, thanks Artid!) and the mushrooms. Both were amazing. We then moved on to the Avgolemono which was ... perfect. I'll come back for this soup alone. I will crave this soup when I'm sick, I can tell already. For dinner we had the Mousakka and Lamb Shank. I've never had Mousakka before, it reminded me a bit of a shepherds pie. It was good, but I have nothing to compare it to, honestly. Towards the end of our meal the General Manager Zoe stopped by to make sure everything was perfect and she was genuinely excited it was our first visit. She asked about our likes and dislikes and talked to us for a minute or two about the experience. During our visit we noticed Zoe talking to another couple who seemed to be telling her they didn't like one of the appetizers they ordered and she whisked it away and offered them something else to replace it. You can tell when you're in a spot where they honestly care about what they're serving and want you to have a great experience, and we felt this our entire meal. My only regrets are not having the stomach space to try more and that I didn't take any pictures to share (it was our night out for Valentines and I didn't want to take out my phone). Will, without a doubt, be back to try more.

Yelp
One star only for the ambience. But the food - I'd be embarrassed to serve this out of my own kitchen at home. Flavorless avgolemano soup. Chewy, over-salted octopus. Pathetic excuse for a lobster roll. Crab cakes with nasty tasting canned crab. Oysters covered in sand and grit, and of questionable freshness. All at a ridiculously high price and with ridiculously slow service. We were told there was a "90 minute limit" at the table, then didn't even get our food for almost 90 minutes! What a joke. Awful, just awful. It's this kind of a meal that leaves one angry.

Yelp
Loved everything about this restaurant. It will be on my regular rotation list. Food was delicious - particularly liked the octopus and Greek mezze. Our waitress (who go was also the bartender) was very sweet and quite skilled at diffusing a rude and difficult customer seated near us

Yelp
Limani was on my list to check out for this month and decided to do for Galentines. The actual restaurant is gorgeous. The first floor is the wine bar and the second floor is the restaurant. The menu is on the pricier side but definitely worth it. Everything was savory and decadent. Sebastian our server was so incredible and attentive. Our bill came up to $371 which again was a little on the pricer side but honestly it was worth it!

Yelp
Service was really great, both our waiter and the manager. Appetizer were so good that we ordered more and more so we had to cut down on our main course. We share a fish dish and it was awesome. By the way tomatoes salad is the must.

Yelp
Enjoyed lunch with clients. Started with appetizers consisting of their Greek Spread, fresh Calamari, and Lamani Chips. For the main lunch, we had the Red Snapper ... grilled and very moist with Tomato Salad. So full we almost didn't order dessert but made a wise choice to split a Chocolate Souflee. On a scale of 1-10 ... everything was a 15 for sure.

Yelp
PSA to anyone looking to host a private event here - business, personal whatever it is... do not do it. Please save your money, your energy and your internal peace. The sales and event manager was extremely difficult to work with. She does not answer emails or questions - You will chase her for answers and information like a donkey. The restaurant hostess and general manager will want to black list you because you've had to call the restaurant everyday trying to catch the event manager at work since she hasn't answered an email from you in weeks which is crazy since you've already payed a deposit. Piece of advice let the restaurant black list you, you're better off. Ultimately, the event managers lack of communication and unpreparedness made the event very stressful on me as the host. Overall, it was not a great experience hosting an event here and I would not recommend it.

Yelp
We had a wonderful time at Limani the service was amazing and food great too. We had the lamb chops and they were perfectly flavored. The ambiance was great too. We will certainly be back to try more from their menu. To the staff a Limani thank you so much.

Yelp
My first time, and I won't be back. I ordered the Aphrodite cocktail, which is billed as gin, aperol and "grapefruit tonic" - tasted like a tall glass of grapefruit juice. The purple on top was pretty. The thyme sprig was sad. I drank half of it and moved on to wine. I had to flag down a waiter to get a refill of water. My dining partner ordered the crab cake as an appetizer, it looked great. My own appetizer, gigante beans, was forgotten until I asked about it - by which time, my friend (eating VERY slowly) had almost finished her crab cake. The gigante beans were fine, but it's just a bowl of beans in tomato sauce. Slightly nicer than the Trader Joe's canned version, but not much. I asked for 2/3 of it to be boxed to go. For the main course, we both ordered the salmon. This is a simply cooked piece of salmon with lemon and capers and the following vegetables: one piece of broccoli, one piece of cauliflower, and two 1/4 carrots. I probably ordered the wrong things, but I'm not impressed.

Yelp
At first sight, the environment looked beautiful and upscale but soon became a cacophony of noise once the tables started getting occupied due to the bad acoustics. It was impossible to carry any conversation, let alone enjoy the live music that simply added to the noise. The server and service were pleasant as were the appetizers but those could not make up for the tasteless, bland main dishes that pretended to be Mediterranean. The meat was dry and overcooked and the traditional Greek baked dishes (pastitsio, gemista, and lamb shank) were undercooked, watery, and tasteless. Even the fish, that could have been delicious, was unacceptable. As native Greeks, calling this a Mediterranean cuisine is an insult, at any price, let alone the outrageous prices of Limani. Do not waste your time or money there. Any Greek fast food joint or humble Greek taverna would have been 100 times better than this abomination.
