Limbourg - Köln

We had the 7 course tasting menu on Christmas Eve. The staff were informative and friendly. The food was absolutely fantastic. In particular the octopus dish was extremely good. Would definitely recommend!

This was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had in my life. My partner made reservations for us for our honeymoon as a surprise, and I loved every minute of it. We purchased the fixed Christmas menu, which brought us several dishes that tantalized and surprised us. This is a small establishment with at most 13 or 14 tables, which means that quality is ensured. The kitchen is one of the smallest I've seen (I was able to sneak a peek on the way to the restroom), and so the powerful flavor profiles that came from the chef were astounding. Each dish, whether it was the bread, inspired sushi, beef, or chocolate cake, was presented with flair and expertise. The staff is attentive but not in your business, a gold standard in my books. We were served by two servers who were good enough with English but certainly appreciated my husband's attempt at German. This is not a tourist destination. This is a foodie's destination. The price for such a fine experience is on point, so budget accordingly. This is a not-to-be-missed experience. If you're in Koln/Cologne, reserve now.

Last night I ordered the crab appetizer and I found at least 3-4 pieces of large and sharp shell pieces in the dish. Big health hazard, so beware!! This is a pic of the second largest piece, the biggest piece I found they took with them. Definitely don’t recommend it. For me was a SCARY experience. I didn’t expect it from restaurant of such price range. They took the meal away but we paid in full for everything else.

5 hours. It took 5 hours. Almost an hour of waiting between every course. Our reservation was for 7pm on a Saturday and we didn’t leave til Sunday. The food was good, but it just took far too long. If we started The Fellowship of The Ring when we sat down we would have left during The Two Towers’ battle at Helm’s Deep. It took so long that I left hungry and bought McDonald’s afterwards.

Lovely food and friendly staff. We had a 6 course menu including very interesting dishes paired with good wine. We generally felt that the pause between each dish was a little too long.

11 out of 10 - we could not have chosen a better place to dine in. The food was absolutely delicious, and so were the wine and other drinks, and the staff was very friendly and highly professional. An unforgettable experience; thank you!
