How to Plan a Ski Trip to Snowmass

"When Limelight Aspen opened its sibling property Limelight Snowmass in the heart of the Base Village in 2018, it instantly became the entire ski area's main social hub. Each of its 99 rooms and 11 residences comes with a microwave and fridge, while a hearty breakfast is complimentary. Unwind in one of the hotel's two large outdoor hot tubs after a big day on the mountain. The pet-friendly property also has a special kids' room with plenty of toys, games, and books to keep little ones busy, a climbing wall, and a fitness center featuring Therabody recovery products." - Travel + Leisure Editors

The Limelight Hotel Snowmass is exceptional! The room was spacious, modern, and thoughtfully designed with sleek fixtures and smart storage. The mattress was hands-down the most comfortable I've ever slept on. True ski-in/ski-out convenience makes hiking and hitting the slopes a breeze. The front desk, management, and concierge staff were all warm, professional, and incredibly helpful. Great food, welcoming atmosphere, and perfect for families or a fun mountain getaway. I'll definitely be back!

I travel plenty and speaking from experience, Limelight Snowmass gets a 10 across the board. From the moment we arrived everything was absolutely wonderful. Parker (Johnson) personally escorted us in from the garage, Miguel Delgado, one of the managers treated us as VIPs and made us feel welcome and cared for during our stay. He was terrific. The rooms were LOVELY and the breakfast - excellent. Just a beautiful stay in a fabulous location and hotel. |HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Cannot say enough great things about this hotel. We are repeat summer vacationers here. Coming from the midwest, it is a much-needed break from the humid hot summer. |Very large rooms, refrigerator, microwave all in the room. |Generous balconies with superb views. |Extremely family (and dog) friendly.|Small park with lots of family friendly activities and lots of relaxing seating right outside the hotel. Love the fire pits to keep you warm on the cooler summer nights. |Best hotel breakfast we have ever had. Lots of options and menu changes daily. |Concierge (Barton!) is fantastic and was able to get us last minute tickets to a sold out event. |Centrally located right at the base of the Elk gondola. |Lots of great eats right around the hotel. |Best thing, is our fur baby was welcome in the hotel. Our dog is a spoiled member of our family and this hotel is so welcoming to dogs. |Bus picks you up in the garage to take into the airport and to Aspen - super fast and free so you don’t have to fuss with Aspen parking. |Close to the grocery and short drive to Aspen and surrounding sites.

This isn't a 5 star hotel so I don't expect that, but this seemed more in line with a Hampton inn than a Limelight. ||Our check in experience was really rushed and the staff member seemed stressed. The room carpet was worn and needs replacement. Mattress enclosure was ripped and the sheets have seen better days. The breakfast included was nice but also low quality food. Coffee was good though, and the employees working the breakfast area were prompt and friendly.||Pool was nice. Overall the reception and front desk were not very helpful or friendly however. I called to ask for housekeeping to please come since we missed them and the lady sternly told me she couldn't guarantee they would come immediately..... I never asked for them to come immediately, just that they come back since they had texted me saying I could request this service. ||Overall I'm trying the Viceroy next time we come to snowmass. Not impressed with Limelight.

Great location in Snowmass with everything conveniently close by. Rooms were thoughtfully appointed with ample space, charging ports, storage, etc. The staff was particularly helpful and friendly, whether it was the for the airport shuttle, front desk, concierge, bartending (Aliyah was awesome!!) or restaurant (good food, too!). We would definitely stay again.

Thank You to Miguel, Allie, Robin, Tom, Parker, Olivier, Kayla, a Aliyah, Brenda and the Entire Team at Limelight Hotel Snowmass for their self-less delivery of service above self. They are truly an Award-Winning Team that puts families first and ensures that kindness, thoughtful details and care lead all interactions and engagements to ensure quality and authentic human connections. We had an incredible time from the warm greetings each day from the early AM breakfast team, to the afternoon details of children event bookings to the late-night evening requests for slippers and hot tea-makers. Our family had an exceptional experience which is why my family and many families call this circle a home during the summer months. We appreciate the workers at Limelight as they represent community culture and Colorado hospitality in the most exemplary fashion. Thank You Limelight SnowMass- You hold a special place in our hearts and family memories. Megan EM

Hello-||We had a phenomenal experience and time at Limelight Snowmass. From arrival to departure, everyone was fantastic and took great care of us. The location has everything: great food, excellent rooms, LOTS of things to do and experience, an excellent Fitness Center, extremely nice and helpful team members.

Yelp
Love to discuss my dining experience (ie customer service) at the bar restaurant area on 3/23 @ 5:15 pm. My wife , son and I frequented the restaurant area apres-ski and before our flight back to Cali, to have light fare before jumping the plane. We sat in front of the large screen TV on couches; behind us was a second level of tables; then a third level/bar area. My son really wanted to watch Univ of Kentucky play- one of his favorite teams. How fun to grab food and watch the NCAA B-ball on TV (or so we all thought). While watching the game, Illinois v U Kentucky , the screen changed mid game to the NIT (aka the losers bracket for those not in-the know) w Arkansas State and North Texas. The man sitting next to us asked for the manager Eric. Eric starts "informing all of us" who were inquiring what happened that someone (two levels up from the TV area and about 20 feet away) asked for the game to be changed, and that he (Eric) "complies w any patrons' request when they ask for the TV channel to be changed", to do so. Hunh? Said table of NIT proponents who asked to have the channel changed (two levels up) starts screaming at those of us (while they were eating their vittles, and clearly lit) that they "have spent more money than we have". Entitled much? Erik, the manger actually took their position and tells us to move and "watch the game at the bar"- which is relatively 40 feet away from us, and literally 8 feet them. Situational analysis (on restaurant customer service) for the Limelight: 1). What "manager" changes any TV station while people are clearly watching it without asking the patrons nearby watching the game; 2). What "manager" would tell people to move 40 feet from a TV when the other party was sitting about 8 ft from the bar TV area; 2). What manager would remotely tolerate people telling others "we paid more money at this resort than you", - assumedly therefore we can do what we want with clear disregard for others. C Suite guy and C suite wife here - and both have worked service industries as kids and candidly completely blown away at what we observed. Our take in what occurred and (perhaps Eric's take) : $. Clearly Eric, the manger, has either 1) not been trained in restaurant etiquette; or 2) was completely complicit with the "I spent more money than you" argument. Sign of the times... But the good news is we were able to use this as a learning experience with our 14 yo.- who wanted to watch NCAA and one of his favorite teams. It also gave us an opportunity to enlighten him as to de classe people/behavior. Sadly, said NIT posse of " we have spent more money than you" had their (presumably) grandchildren with them who will propagate this behavior. I question what their "learning experience" was today. Thank you, Eric, for extremely poor judgment. After you split, the guy next to me jumped the chairs and nearly perpetuated a brawl in the restaurant with the Arkansas posse - all due to you. Interesting to explain that post facto scenario to my son too. Nice job. This said, I would love to chat with the Hotel General Manager. Drop your name/number and I'd be happy to speak with you about true restaurant customer service. I gave 2 stars because the food was 6/10.

Yelp
We had a great recent stay here. The service is outstanding five stars all the way. From the shuttle that picks you up from the airport and delivers you straight to the hotel to the front desk check in to the free breakfast and amazing service. We loved it. Ideally located steps from the elk gondola. There's a full on soccer field out the front door and plenty of food options. The in-house restaurant has an outstanding happy hour and some of the best pizza in town. We really enjoyed our stay here, kudos to the management and staff for making our stay memorable!

Yelp
Our stay was excellent, the hot tub is hot and amazing after the ski day. Our driver Luke was amazing, 13/10 for service!!

Yelp
Ski boots taken or stolen from ski storage room!! This hotel's ski storage is not secured. Other ski area hotels or condos we've stayed at in the U.S. and Canada provided either our own locker with lock or a controlled system with staff tagging, storing and retrieving equipment. The Limelight simply opens the storage room in the a.m. and anyone who walks in has access to any of the equipment. When my wife's boots were taken, the front desk staff implied it was her fault for not having her name on them and ignored us. (Management did later apologize, but stated they are not responsible for "lost" items.)

Larry V.

Yelp
Besides a perfect location that is ski in/out, the staff is amazing. After having our flight diverted to Denver and having to drive 4 1/2 hours at night we were comforted by the front desk both on the phone while we were driving and upon reception. The entire stay we were treated with kindness and professionalism. This is a hotel who has trained their staff well and hires the best people from the front desk, shuttle drivers, restaurant servers and ski valet. The room was very nice and also very clean. We will come back here for sure!

Yelp
My husband and I stayed here with my parents, brother and sister in law and their two young children over Easter weekend. We've stayed at the Viceroy in the past, and due to the location of the Limelight, being so central to Snowmass Village and all of the restaurants and shops, with ski in/out access, we decided to stay here this time. It's an easy 10 min drive from the Aspen airport to the hotel, and the Hotel provides a free shuttle service to get to the hotel. Super-convenient! First impressions...the Lobby and downstairs area is comfortable and tastefully appointed. It's optimal for relaxing, meeting other guests, grabbing their free breakfast in the morning, and kicking back apres ski or for dinner, listening to live music every night, or playing shuffleboard. There are many seating areas throughout this area, so it's never challenging to find a spot to sit. There's a bar and a full-service dinner menu, which I might add, is a wonderful menu with things like French Onion Soup, Quinoa Bowls, Vegetarian Chili, Burgers, etc. The food is so good, many guests end-up eating at the hotel every night. The BEST part of this area is their wood fire pizza oven. The pizzas taste straight out of Italy, and you can customize your pizza any way you'd like. They make it right in front of you. Additionally, there are areas of the downstairs where children can congregate and play games. There are even two MAC computers for kids to access. I did find the downstairs area to be very warm at times. You could definitely tell when they turned the heat on. The rooms were decorated beautifully. I loved the smell when I walked in. Everything smells fresh and new. Housekeeping was consistent and the service teams were very friendly. I did, however, find the walls to be very thin, and it was easy to hear the baby crying in the room next door. I have a high bar, and some of these suggestions may seem nit-picky to some, but for me, these are table-stakes in a high-end hotel such as the Limelight, and so I am suggesting as areas for improvement: 1) Provide Q-tips + cotton balls in the bathroom 2) Upgrade toilet seats to "soft close" lids. Getting up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, and having the seat cover smack down hard every time is annoying, and this is such a SIMPLE (low-cost) fix! Even my brother mentioned it....so I hope someone reads this and makes the change! 3) Shampoo/Conditioner was a disappointment. Regretfully, I forgot my shampoo, and had to use the hotels. The Shampoo was a gel consistency and not high-quality. It made my hair very dry. Even my husband commented on the difference once we borrowed my mom's shampoo. 4) Mattress was not comfortable in my opinion. My husband complained as well. It was very squishy and not the least-bit firm. Also the pillows on the bed are far too small. For a king bed, the pillows were mini sized pillows. If you want to go to Aspen, the hotel offers the ability to "borrow" an Audi for a couple hours and drive yourself there, or they offer a car service for $100. Aspen is only a 20 min drive, so it's super-convenient. You can also get a lyft or uber, which they say is challenging, but we had no problem at all. I found the staff overall to be EXCELLENT and super-hospitable. We especially loved the driver who picked us up from the Airport (sandy blond hair - younger guy) and TOM, the Breakfast Manager, was so gracious, kind, thoughtful and sweet! He made every morning a wonderful experience. He even took wonderful photos of our entire family, sitting by the fireplace. They turned out so great and are being framed for sure! Every night we went in the hot tubs....which are huge and outside. It's fun to mix and mingle with guests and share a cocktail outside. They provide fresh unlimited towels outside the spa area, and slippers and robes in the guest rooms, so you can wear them down to the spa. The hotel will also store your skis and dry out your boots for you overnight, if you want them to. My one complaint would be the service outside by the hot tub - it's not very fast or easy to get food or more drinks while out there, even though there's a QR code you can scan to get a menu and order. It was more hassle than just going back to the bar. My one last recommendation (or thing I was surprised about) was the fact that the hotel does not sell bottled water. They do put fresh water (they bottle filtered water themselves) and replenish it daily - putting two fresh bottles in the fridge in your room. And, you can get more by going to the front desk anytime. The water quality they provide is excellent (and I am very picky about my water)....so no complaints there. I just found it odd that we could not buy a bottle if we wanted to...But as long as we had access to water, I guess that's what matters! :) If it's about conservation, I totally get it! :) We would definitely stay at the Limelight again! It was a really fun memorable experience!

Yelp
While I didn't stay here at Snowmass, I got dinner there twice during my trip. The Lounge is a great casual spot and good for all ages, whether you're dining with children or going for a few drinks. The staff is friendly and service is quick. The food is absolutely delicious. There are many different options and can accommodate different diets. Better yet, the food is decently priced, which is more challenging to find in Aspen.

Yelp
I had the most Amazing stay here. We spent a few days in snowmass in an air bnb and when we decided to extend our trip this place was a brainer. The easiest access to the mountains for skiing & all of the great restaurants. We enjoyed some time in their outdoor jacuzzi and had breakfast in their lounge every morning. I would stay here again for sure.

Yelp
What a great hotel/resort in Snowmass! We came to the area for a 50th Birthday celebration and selected this property out of the two lodging choices. Before you arrive, they will contact you to arrange your complimentary transportation to and from the airport. The hotel is situated in Snowmass Base Village. The staff is sooo nice and accommodating. The supervisor (Hugo) checked in to make sure our room was being serviced to our liking and the staff in the dining area were so warm (Special shout out to Tom & team). The complimentary breakfast is delicious and they make changes daily. Whenever we had a question and contacted the front desk, they provided the information immediately or would check and get back to us. The rooms are very spacious. My only wish is that we had a room with a balcony. Really enjoyed the hot tubs. It's in close proximity to the Skittles complimentary gondola, Elk Camp Gondola and Lift, several dining options and stores. I highly recommend you stay here if visiting the area. It truly is a beautiful property.

Yelp
Great Hotel! We stayed 2 nights in August.. it wasn't crowed at all because of Covid. The room are very nice and clean! The beds and pillows are comfortable and the bathroom is great! They provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion and towels. Our room had microwave and a very cool orange fridge. Breakfast was included in our stayed and it was good with a variety of food. Everyone provided excellent service, were kind and nice. Gondola is very short distance, great restaurants, shopping, etc. Downtown Aspen is within 10-15 min. Not walking distance. The hotel parking garage is very secure and convenient. I will recommend staying here! For skiing or snowboarding March will be the perfect time. Not too crowded.

Yelp
We wanted to stay in Aspen for our wedding, but since we did quick planning, there wasn't a lot of availability by the time we were looked, but luckily the Limelight had some open rooms! When you first get there and park, there's a private garage that you get buzzed into. Parking had an additional price, which I didn't know and honestly was not super happy about (just build it into the price!), but it's directly near the elevator. It was a bit more annoying when we were coming back from wedding dinner, because all the spots were full. I had to go to the front desk, and a staff member met us on another level to park the car in overflow. So we had to pay for it and then there wasn't even enough without going to another place. In the grand scheme of things, this was a small annoyance but still. The lobby is very modern looking and they had live music during happy hour in the bar area. The room was very nice - we had one with a fireplace. It was spacious, clean, and decorated nicely. We had mentioned that we just got married, and the hotel provided a bottle of champagne for us! That was nice! There were robes in the room to use for going to the hot tub, which was also quite nice. It was a huge pool, so ever though there were other couples, it didn't seem crowded at all. Overall, our stay was very nice and comfortable!

Yelp
This hotel is amazing! Our room was large and clean. They are pet friendly, which is what we needed. They have their own parking garage for guests, you have to have a code to get into, which is nice for security. From parking to the elevator to our room was super easy access. The lobby has a big dining area with a beautiful fireplace. The breakfast was very good, not the typical make your own waffle or grab a yogurt like a lot of hotels. We visited in last Sept/early Oct and it was not at full capacity which was nice. We're told that winter and summer are their busy seasons. On our trip to Colorado we hit Estes Park, Aspen/Snowmass, Crested Butte, and Ouray. This was my favorite place to stay of all them. I would absolutely recommend it!!!

Yelp
We loved staying here! We travel a lot and have tried to continue safely during COVID. The room was super spacious. We could've fit a loveseat in the bathroom alone. The room also had a microwave and small fridge along with a large table with enough seating for 4-6 people. We didn't have the fanciest dinners, but we were able to grab some food at the nearby market (behind Conoco) and microwave dinners for a couple days. We were getting friendly with soup. Hah. They were not at capacity (school in session, mid-week) and that was perfectly fine for us as we wanted to get out, but not around too many people. The lobby was lovely and I can picture how lively it could be. The breakfast was complimentary and perfect! All of the items were packaged and the food was delicious. They had a few custom croissant sandwiches and they were so yummy. We also saw people order pizzas from the pizza oven and they looked AMAZING! The ice rink is a soccer field in the summer/fall months and it was a lot of fun to play on with my kids. If you have kids and need a park, hop in your car and head down the hill to the Town Park where there are two playgrounds that are wide and open. The beds were comfortable, the room was modern, the blinds were automatic (!), and it felt a bit like we were in Europe with all of the modern and simple flair. We'd definitely stay again.

Yelp
My family and I really enjoyed our stay at the Limelight Snowmass and it's going to be our first choice again on our next visit to Snowmass. We have enjoyed staying at their Aspen location in the past but wanted to mix it up after hearing how our friends had a great stay here during ski season. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and have good internet, a refrigerator along with a microwave. Location can't be beat in Snowmass which is another draw to it. Because of the social distancing, I didn't see or look too much at what they did for the lobby and common areas while going in/out but I know from staying at their Aspen location, part of the brand is to make a really inviting and active lobby area with music and drinks. The staff is friendly and helpful so all in all, it's been a perfect stay.

Wayne H.

Yelp
Staff is great and very attentive A pair of my wife's jeans disappeared from a washing machine and they stepped right up and offered to buy a new pair. Food is really good Breakfast is so convenient and high quality. Lounge is super fun My son Loved the climbing wall and hot tubs . Its just amazing location for a ski trip. Rental place is next door and gondola is 25 yards from hotel entrance

Yelp
Nice hotel and would stay again, but I have a few complaints. The breakfast was a little bit lame and there were kids screaming and yelling as we ate at 8 AM playing the foosball table in the lobby. Not a very peaceful way to start your day...especially when you're paying hundreds of dollars a night for a room. Came back down a few hours later and they were still yelling and playing. Please make a kids room for them or get rid of the foosball table all together.

Yelp
Cistomer service? VERY disappointed! we had our flight canceled due to weather, we're supposed to come in Friday night, but NOW, soonest would be Sunday. Hotel wouldn't even let me rebook! They were happy to keep my money and offer no compromise. I guess is there game, don't believe otherwise.

Harry G.

Yelp
I hate to give a low rating- it's a really nice place. Good rooms, great beds and linens, good bar, SUPER nice, friendly staff But none of it is worth anything if you can't sleep. You can hear people talking in the hall, you can hear people in the next room. I wish hotels could figure out how to make connecting doors sound proof. The people in the next room had their television on all night. It wasn't even loud, but i heard it all night and it was miserable. If it were a two star hotel it would be bad enough. But at those prices...

Yelp
Loved loved the Limelight Hotel! We usually goes to the one in Aspen for apres ski and live music, but this new location is absolutely beautiful! Loved the lobby it's so beautiful and plenty of tables and space for everyone. Our 12 year old loved the games area, he met few new friends within short period of time. The staffs were so nice. The only negative about this place that the food was okay ( food needs to improve the flavors) but the pizza were still good. I had black muscles and it was tasteless, the bread was old. We liked the free ice skating although the shoes weren't so comfortable but the two guys whose helping with the shoes were the nicest people, Scott and Brad. Thank you limelight, you made our holiday more special. See you soon!

Eugene O.

Yelp
You will not find a nicer, more insightful staff than the team at limelight Snowmass. All four seasons the hotel is perfect to explore the area. What an amazing staff, great hotel and very reasonable prices to match! My wife and I received excellent customer service from Lindsey at the front desk her expertise of the entire Aspen area is unreal and her willingness to share these insights while helping with even little things such as parking shows how awesome their team is. Thank you! Eugene

Yelp
My wife and I just finished up a stay at the Limelight Hotel in Ketchum Idaho unfortunately she came down with an infection that needed immediate attention. After locating a doctor and getting a prescription the challange was getting it filled. Since Taxis we're not an option and the Limelight, loaner vehicles were all taken we thought we would have to wait the entire day until a vehicle was available. At that point John The manager of the hotel jumped in and volunteered to pick up the prescription personally. He drove 30 minutes in each direction and delivered the prescription directly to Our room. I cannot over stress how helpful John and his staff Denny and Deedee were throughout our stay. Unfortunately our trip was cut short but we can't wait to return next ski season. A terrific hotel matched by a terrific staff.

Yelp
Let me just say...99% of everything about this hotel is absolutely amazing and has exceeded expectations. The staff are unbelievably friendly and accommodating, the ambiance/atmosphere is totally chill yet "trendy" so to speak, the hot tubs beautiful and perfectly warm (and the heated cement is a nice touch!). The rooms...I hate to even mention this cuz I don't want the prices to go up, but for the price per night, it has very much exceeded expectations. So clean, organized, good bath products, spacious bathrooms, comfy clean beds...I don't usually sleep soundly anywhere when I'm traveling, but somehow just passed out hard the last couple nights haha! The ONLY issue I have (and I've noticed a recent review that mentioned the same thing) is the room service. It's not the service itself!...It's the quality of the food that we got. My husband ordered the Margherita pizza and he mentioned it tasted as if it had been sitting out for a bit before it was taken up...like the cheese was pretty much solid and it wasn't even lukewarm at that point. I tried it myself and I agree. I got myself the charcuterie plate and it was ok...I'd maybe give it a B minus. But I live in California where we're kinda snobs about that stuff in wine country so maybe it's just me lol. But also we were not expecting it to come in to-go bags... If they were to focus on this minor issue, I'd would absolutely give them 5 stars hands down!

Yelp
The pizzas are super delicious. We ordered 4 for the table of 7 people. The BLT was everyone's favorite. Lucy provided excellent customer service and the atmosphere was awesome. The dessert is unreal!!! Table split the cookie dough bake and the mile high. Wow!!!

Yelp
First, just stay here. Don't not stay here. This place is next level. From the custom and very-well furnished rooms to the amazing showers this is the ultimate place to stay on a weekend ski adventure. The hot tubs are a plus and the gym and other amenities are World class - not to mention there's a shuttle that is free and will run you from the front doors to aspen proper so you can get out and sight see and have a nice dinner. The staff were beyond accommodating and had a lot of great suggestions for us on what to do at nights. The best part? The breakfast. Never in my life have I had something so good and the staff helping prepare and clean the common area were all so polite and helpful. The bestest part? Pet friendly!! Just check out the picture of my pup. Absolutely would recommend.

Yelp
So, we just checked into our hotel. It's very lovely, chic decor, clearly designed after the Limelight in Aspen. We decided to take advantage of happy hour. There are small children - toddlers- running amuck throughout the bar. Throwing toys, screaming, running barefoot. I can (reluctantly) deal with that. The happy hour music (I use that term very generously) is horrific. You've got Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum slapping there knees, screeching harmonicas and singing BADLY out of tune. And so loud you have to scream to speak. The patrons (other than the screening children) are not loud. We expected a higher caliber of musicianship, something sophisticated. We opted to take our food to our room, it's so bad. For over $300/night, I'd expect the music to have been hired from somewhere besides the bus station or Craigslist.

Yelp
This hotel knocked our socks off. We came in for one night on our one year wedding anniversary - partial cross country trip. They upgraded us to a really cool room with a nice view and an outdoor patio. The hotel is really new and clean and has amazing style. We especially appreciated all the steps they make to be more sustainable/green. After a long day of driving, we put on the comfy robes that were in our room, ordered some delicious room service, then took wine down and sat in the huge hot tub. Afterwards we used the in room chromecast and caught up on our shows. It was a really relaxing night. Stay here! You won't be sorry!

Jennifer G.

Yelp
Good location, clean rooms, very friendly staff. But the room service is very dissapointing! We ordered room service, the food quality was very low for the high price. I don't mind paying extra when I like the food but it wasn't the case this time. We were still hungry after eating a $90 dinner ( 3 cups of soup, a cup of chili, a tiny arugula salad ). Flatware and plates are available in the room but the room service was served in to go containers. Definitely does not reflect the Hotel's quality!

Yelp
The hostess was rude. We asked her if we could get the iglú that was available and she told us that we needed to reserve it with a very dismissive attitude as if she didn't want to serve my group. That's fine. We'll never spend money here.

Yelp
Limelight - you did not disappoint over the Labor Day weekend. We have stayed at the Aspen location and this was our first stay at the Snowmass location. Thanks for your great hospitality and for allowing us to stay with our lab Lexi! She also had a great time and so did we. Awesome rooms and great dinning and lounge.

Yelp
I've been coming here for the past 5 years - same week every time. My friends really wanted to stay at the St Regis or the new W Hotel, but I convinced them that the rooms and hospitality at Limelight were the best. I got my room and ended up with the worst room in the entire hotel. No views. None. just a dark stone wall with no light. Depressing for a 6 night stay. I mentioned it to management and within 3 minutes was upgraded to the suite with a fireplace, and huge balcony staring at Aspen Mountain and over looking the pool. Gorgeous. I love this hotel and will continue to recommend it. Super great location and great staff. Never had an issue. They always take care of you.

Yelp
We like to go to the Limelight restaurant because we love the food. As locals, this is one of out favorite places. However the new system of ordering online while were on the table doesn't make sense. We sat on the table to be served properly but we are requested to do the ordering and paying online before our food arrives. Also it required us to pre-pay an automatic 22% gratuity which isn't worth it because our "service" is literally just them dropping the food on our table. We go to other hotels in Snowmass and never have this experience. Make it make sense ‍

Yelp
We've been here for six days with one more to go and it's their second week open. Already looking to book our honeymoon here in late February. Brand new and gorgeous and the location is so ideal! Right next to base camp and free ice skating and rock wall so great for kids and adults alike. We find breakfast to be exceptional - I'm an egg snob and I can't make any better! Our one critique is that breakfast should start at 6am - pretty please! This 7am thing kills us early risers/skiers. But well done, Limelight Snowmass!!! You'll have the two of us for life!

Yelp
Beautiful room, great views and an awesome lounge. Hot tub was splendid after a day on the slopes and you're a short walk from the elk camp gondola and snow mass village. Staff was fantastic and the gym is great as well. Would definitely stay again!

Yelp
We didn't stay here and only came to meet our friends for dinner. Lots of room for improvement. As of Oct 2019 we do not recommend. The drinks took forever (wine and beer - nothing that requires any skills beyond pouring it into a glass) and the food was less than mediocre. The lamb was cold. The mushroom pizza barely had any mushrooms and we found two slices of prosciutto on said prosciutto pizza. Staff is friendly and helpful but the place is highly understaffed. The manager was understanding and took our feedback, offered dessert and gave us a nice discount - very much appreciated - but let's hope this just helps to improve the overall quality of the kitchen of the lounge bar.

Yelp
The hotel is amazing!! It has hotel rooms as well as residences. The rooms are spacious and comfy feeling featuring double sinks on the bathroom, coffee maker, microwaves, fridges, nice balcony to sit on, and bottled water. The bed was very hard and. It good for sleeping. When I told them the next day at checkout they seemed surprised. Maybe because it opened in Dec 2018 they aren't interested in making improvements just yet. They serve a brunch style breakfast with lots of hot and cold options. The afternoon dining is best known for their pizzas which I wish I had inquired about before ordering dinner. They have happy hour from 4-7 with discounts on wine and beer. I had the steak which left much to be desired, no flavor and very tough. The cabbage salad was dry even when adding additional dressing. I would stick with the pizzas. If you are interested in living here the units start around 4.5M for the beautiful views, fresh air, and peace of mind

Yelp
This hotel is a joke. Pretty, that it may be. No real services are offered. No place to buy a bottle of water (oh they will tell you there are vending machines, they are sold out on floor 4), and at 11 pm they shut every light off ( on a Saturday night in July) like the place is out of business. No light in the lobby or the common areas. And don't try to go sit outside, cause we did and they literally called me ignorant and called the cops. We were not being loud, we were just wanting to get out of our non balcony rooM and this is what we got. The cops called! Terrible service and very rude. This place is not worth the amount you pay.

Yelp
So great. Absolutely loved. The entire staff friendly, helpful, proficient. Loaner electric Audi. Amazing reception for our friends wedding. I'm a convert. Similar to Marriott but just ever aspect is "better".

Yelp
The setting of this hotel is absolutely amazing! My room had a balcony facing the ice skating rink and the rest of the incredibly designed plaza. It was the epitome of what everyone would imagine the ideal winter resort to be. The modern room was like a mini apartment with the highest quality amenities. They spared no expenses with the bed and linens. Absolutely superb check-in experience and staff! The general manager also made it a point to greet me and make sure I had everything I needed for my stay. The new Snowmass Bass Village is at the top of the list for mountain resorts in North America. It's definitely a place I'll be bringing my entire family. Plus, the skiing is phenomenal!

Yelp
Love this hotel!! My father had won a free three night stay here and the hotel manager was accommodating and allowed myself and one of my girlfriends to use it instead as we live in CO and my father lives in CA. We were treated with the utmost respect and kindness from the moment we pulled into the parking garage. The continental breakfast is much more extensive than what is described in their website - definitely my favorite part of the day. I was also amazed at how close the ski lifts are! I would definitely come back if I ever have the opportunity again!!

Yelp
My house was flooded and my insurance company put my boyfriend and I at the hotel eve though the hotel was seemingly booked. The staff are absolutely amazing and they have really been working to try and find us rooms and to keep us in the hotel and off the streets. Hot tub is amazing, a bit like a zoo exhibit though. Service is fast and has a amazing free breakfast. Definetly recommend staying here. If you have any problems in the hotel we could always talk to Joe or Christina and they would solve the problem immediately. Best hotel in the Aspen/Snowmass area.

Yelp
Amazing stay last weekend. Joe at the bar and the entire staff were fabulous. We felt safe with all safety precautions during COVID-19. Rooms were very big. We will be back!

Yelp
Hotel is adequate. Customer service is a facade. Two days in a row we were stood up by the pre-arranged shuttle bus that was supposed to take us back to Aspen. The lack of communication between the limelight Aspen and Limelight Snowmass is mind blowing. I guess you get what you pay for with a free shuttle. Skiers beware - after a long day on the slopes you can find yourself terribly frustrated with this group.

Yelp
Stayed for 2 nights on their second weekend. Great location in base village. They just opened so I expected some new hotel issues that didn't really bother me. For example no "do not disturb" door hanger in our room. Our towels were brand new and hadn't been laundered so they still had that plasticy smell and tags hadn't been pulled. Breakfast was largely inedible unless you like runny eggs, cold waffles and sausages that are so over cooked they resemble hockey pucks. Dirty plates left all over the dining area. One of the bussers left a dirty rag and spray bottle on the community table. Now my favorite part: I accidentally left a shirt (and a pair of socks and underwear) in the top drawer of the dresser. We checked out around noon on Sunday. I called a few hours later to let them know I left a shirt behind. The first person I talked to at the front desk said she would call housekeeping. However she didn't ask my name or room number! So I asked "great, but what are you going to ask housekeeping if you don't what room I was staying in?" "Oh yeah", she said, in that 'I don't give a crap, stoned, Colorado way'. "I was in room 328", I said. "And you said you lost some socks?" "I didn't LOSE anything", I reminded her, "I left some socks, underwear, and a shirt in the dresser. I don't care about the socks and underwear, but would love to get the shirt back." "OK, I will call housekeeping and call you right back. Oh wait... you said you were in 321?" "Nope. 328. I was in room 328 and I checked out a few hours ago." "OK I will call you right back." ...an hour later. No call. I call back. I get a different guy at the front desk who wasn't aware that his colleague had already talked to me. I go through the routine again. 5 minutes later the front desk supervisor calls and said she checked with housekeeping and there was nothing in the room. I respectfully said that was impossible, can you check again? 15 minutes later the housekeeping supervisor called back and said she personally called the young lady that attended to my room and she said that she didn't find anything. I explained this was impossible and asked if they were OK with a "finders keepers" policy for their housekeepers. She said no, and that she would keep looking for my shirt. I explained that it's not about my shirt, but I expect more from a $500/night hotel that is trying to be the centerpiece hotel in Snowmass base village. She was professional and respectful and said she would call me the next day after she had a chance to further interview the cleaning staff. 24 hours later and no call. Lots of simple solutions here, how about a call back and an apology? How about a free room next time? Something? I've traveled around the world and stayed in lots of crappy hotels and lots of great ones. Amenities are one thing, attitude and service are what makes a great property. Limelight Snowmass? Look elsewhere.

Yelp
The food here is about as good as CU Boulder's cafeteria. The french fries cost $13 and they're not even hand-cut and twice-fried--they're frozen! The menu states that the cheesecake comes with a blueberry lemon compote but it actually came with fresh sliced strawberries. Less forgivable is the fact that the menu in our room stated that the ladyfingers in the tiramisu are soaked in coffee whereas the menu in the restaurant stated that they are soaked in cognac. We don't consume alcohol! Lucky for us, we didn't order it. As for room service, our food was served in take-away containers! The salmon was cooked perfectly and seasoned well, but the bottom crust of the pizza was pale and tasted like supermarket white bread. The room itself was less luxurious than a Westin we stayed at in Streamwood, IL. The grout lines in the water closet needed repair. This is fairly typical of supposedly high-end hotels and restaurants in CO. They can get away with it because of the setting and the alcohol. It's not a bad place to stay, just don't expect a luxurious experience. On a positive note, they let you test drive an amazing Audi!

Yelp
Stayed at this brand new hotel in Snowmass, CO as part of soft opening. This is a very casual place and it is family friendly. Specific play area for kids. Has a pool and an ice rink (outside). Staff is very friendly - check in was a breeze. Parking garage may be a little difficult to navigate but there is a call button for the front desk. Room was extremely comfortable and well stocked (robes, plenty of soap, coffee maker with coffee and tea, nice size TV, very comfortable beds). Lounge is very nice with large fireplace. Seating in front of gas fire pits outside as well. Food and service in restaurant was simply terrific. Everything was good (steak, salmon, lamb and small pizza) but the lamb and the pizza were outstanding. Portions were adequate to bigger than expected. Breakfast had many items to choose from (scrambled eggs, oatmeal, bagels, juice, yogurts). This is a ski in, ski out hotel. Gondola is close by. Hotel also has complimentary ski storage. This is a very good hotel and relatively cheaper than others in the area for what you get. Killer location!!
