Limelight Ketchum

Had a great stay at this hotel in mid-June. The amenities were great and wide-ranging, from pool/hot tub to ping pong table to airport shuttle, among others. The location is ideal in the midst of the main action of the town. While it comes at the high price point, I see it as providing enough value to back that up, and this would be particularly valuable to the business traveling crowd. Had great service throughout our stay, and the staff always came across as professional and friendly. Our included breakfasts were always top notch, certainly better than any American hotel I've stayed at before. The restaurant also put out some great dishes and drinks later on in the day, which were especially enjoyable on the patio, with live music in the background on certain days.

The Limelight in Ketchum is princess approved! This hotel is beautiful, comfortable, and clean! They were in the process of renovating some rooms when we were there (June 2025). We enjoyed a nice room with a large balcony which connected to an adjoining room for our kids (also with a large balcony). The complimentary breakfast was great with some different options each day. We loved the large patio area with comfortable seating and enjoyed happy hour a few evenings with live music. The hotel is within walking distance to pretty much everything (small town). We rented bikes from the Sturtevants location connected to the hotel and spent time out on the trails and around the Sun Valley loop. They had a bike storage area at the hotel for us to store bikes overnight. We were there the first week of June so everywhere was pretty quiet. I'm sure this place is hopping during ski season. There are several large gathering areas that would be perfect for social activities after a day of skiing. Beautiful view from our room. Very nice hotel. Highly recommend.

We had an amazing experience from start to finish. The rooms were spacious, clean, and super comfortable. The staff was incredibly friendly—special shoutout to Brian and Tony for being so helpful and welcoming. Our little one loved the pool, and the gym was impressively well-equipped. The complimentary breakfast each morning was a great touch—delicious and convenient. Zero issues during our stay. And definitely take advantage of the Audi EV you can borrow—it was a fun bonus! Highly recommend and can't wait to come back.

Incredible stay. From reservations to check in to bar service to cleanliness. Literally no complaints. Everyone is extremely kind and the hotel was clean and quiet. Beautiful atmosphere and amazing people! We love the dessert menu as well and the drinks are phenomenal. Definitely a 10/10.

The hotel was booked by an organization. I provided training to that organization. The staff that managed our training space were impeccable. The kept the refreshments fresh and the space clean. They were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The rooms were wonderful, especially for business travelers with ample space and room to work. If I were there on vacation, I would have been delighted with all the onsite amenities. The bonus is the location. Within walking distance of fabulous restaurants.

Beautiful hotel and great experience! The hotel staff were welcoming, kind, and saw to every last detail. The breakfast was exceptional for a self-serve buffet-style, with healthy and gluten-free options, and variations from day to day. Everything was clean and new, and the rooms have plenty of storage and hooks for clothes and cold weather gear, with comfortable beds and pillows, and a nice small kitchen set up.

Highly recommend this hotel. Not only did they upgrade our room for my birthday but there was also a thoughtful gift in room. The hotel is clean, amenities great and very good breakfast. Gluten free friendly! The hotel shuttle and kind staff are an added bonus

This is a beautiful property that I would highly recommend. From the beautiful rooms to the helpfulness of the staff, my ski vacation stay at this hotel was amazing. The daily breakfast is delicious and varied. The hot tubs and pool are clean and in perfect working order and the lobby/lounge with music is warm and inviting. I used the fitness room daily. It has all machines and a TRX. Love this hotel. The shuttle to and from anywhere local is a fabulous bonus!

Really enjoyed our stay at this gem in Ketchum. Rooms were spacious, bathrooms perfect, nice hot tub and pool area, very nice gym and ample common space to hang out as kids (or adults). All of the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. I also enjoyed seeing all the friendly and well behaved pups around. Conveniently walking distance to get around Ketchum and a shuttle up to the mountain also makes it easy (wouldn't need a car if you fly in). Breakfast was pretty good with a couple simple hot options, and standard cold options as a buffet with plenty of seating. Would definitely stay here again!

If you are visiting our town and not staying at the Limelight Hotel, a visit to the bar/restaurant is a must any time of the year. The food and cocktails are delicious and wonderful, seating inside and or outside depending on the season. Beautiful seating spots on couches and or tables along with TVs to watch games, play games and a kids play room all available in the lobby area. Also live music year round is available. A must to visit! margaritas are my fave's along with either the fried chicken sando or the pizza! Go and enjoy!

One of the newer (if not newest) hotels in Ketchum/Sun Valley. My first time there it felt a little too modern for the Sun Valley vibe, but seems to fit right in. I haven't stayed here so can't comment on the rooms and service, although the pool looks lovely and the location is very centrally located to town. I also noticed they have vans to the mountains to try to make it as convenient as possible for their guests. For me there's something special about the Sun Valley Resort so I always recommend people stay there, but this is a great option too. I have enjoyed a lunch and dinner here at Limelight Hotel over the years. During our last visit we made a last minute reservation for our party of 9 (4 adults, 5 kids) in the couch section. There was live music and the kids enjoyed playing shuffleboard while we waited for our food and enjoyed some wine. We did learn at the end that shuffleboard should not be played when music is playing so we'll keep that in mind for next time. Oops. We ordered a variety of apps and entrees for our table. The pizza was a big hit with the kids, the hummus app was enjoyed by all and I ordered the kids salmon entree (seemed healthier than most of the adult menu) and thought it was really good. It's a fun, casual atmosphere perfect for families and we plan to add into our dinner rotation when visiting.

Beautiful, unique lobby. Large, clean, well appointed room with a balcony and view. Excellent, hot, varied breakfasts, including pastries, eggs, bacon, juices, coffee, etc. Very good Old Fashioneds, created by a conversational and friendly bartender. Shuffleboard, cornhole toss, and ping-pong tables are avaiolable. The pool is heated and quite small, but the large outdoor patios are attractive and shaded. The $20 nightly fee for garage parking was reasonable enough, but I was charged $50/day for my pet, which seems exorbitant, even in Ketchum. The second night I was there the room immediately adjacent to me was rented to a group of rowdy, drunken, loud-rap-music-playing teenagers or college students, which cheapened the experience considerably. Finally, I decided to leave one day early, and though the garage and pet fees were supposedly reversed, I was still charged for that day.

This hotel is great! We stayed for 2 nights on business in a queen terrace room. The room was spacious and well thought out. A mini kitchenette, beautiful bathroom, comfortable beds, a nice tv and even a desk/table area. The patio had a beautiful view of the mountains. There is underground parking available for $20 a day. The breakfast in the morning was delicious. This is a pricey hotel but it's completely worth the price! Loved our stay here!

I rarely write reviews but in this case it would be a sin if I didn't. My research indicated that this was a 4 star hotel in Ketchum Idaho Whoever rated it a 4 star is out of their mind. This is a 5 star hotel in every sense. The ambiance of the lobby, patio and room was just beautiful. I sit here writing this review on our last morning drinking coffee and enjoying the beautiful mountain view's in front of us. The lobby is beautifully decorated with a couple of modern design fire places. The complimentary breakfast is everything you could ask for including omelet's, eggs, bacon, sausage and anything else you would expect. The red salsa that I used on my eggs was especially tasty. The service starts with the hotel manager Denny. He treats you like a person would treat a guest at your home. As we were enjoying our coffee this morning he came out and greeted us. He remembered we were leaving and came out to say goodbye. His staff really understand what great customer service is and everyone one of them from the housekeepers to the wait staff to the bar tenders to the front desk always have a smile. They are all so genuinely nice and attentive. Limelight has probably been the most enjoyable hotel stay we've ever had. Book a stay. You won't be disappointed.

Absolutely loved this hotel in Ketchum. Ambiance was mountain chic, staff were wonderful, and there were dogs all around - a treat for me as I was missing mine. They had courtesy bikes (and helmets) for guests to use, a delicious breakfast buffet, and happy hour in the evening. The views were beautiful, the pool and two large hot tubs perfect! There were families enjoying the pool and patio games (corn hole and ping pong) and couples enjoying the restaurant and bar. Would not hesitate to come back. Easy walking distance to everywhere in town.

Lovely lounge with great service. There were so many fun cocktails to try. The ski bunny was my favorite drink. Not too sweet and a little tangy. The fireplace in the lounge area is super cozy. We enjoyed sitting on the confortable couches sipping our drinks and conversating. It was the perfect spot where we could hear each other and still hear the band.

The best hotel my wife & I stay at. It's a yearly thing we do for our anniversary and from the breakfast, to the bar/restaurant, the hot tub & pool and the service is all top notch. Everyone is very friendly & treats our dog so well(he hangs with us in the lobby) and gets a gift bag on arrival. The foot at the hotel restaurant is amazing & they have a great deal on happy hour menus. The car shuttle to the spa is also a plus, super friendly driver. We can't wait for our upcoming stay at this amazing spot.

This is a favorite of mine in Sun Valley! They have great food and lots of variety so there's really something for everyone. My favorites include the Brussels sprouts, any of the pizzas, and the Shepards pie was great as well!

For such a pricey hotel- you'd expect 2-ply toilet paper and tissues, for starters. $350 more on a Wednesday night, vs a Tuesday night. Outrageous. 7 day cancellation policy and they charge you the full amount of your stay at this time. Unheard of. Curtains along the windows in a suite on 2nd floor had water stains at the bottom, as if the room had water damage. A/C BLASTS over the pullout couch, but is barely felt in the bedroom area. Water came out of a handheld nozzle in the shower, instead of the nozzle on the wall. And... in this day and age- who uses SCENTED laundry products for sheets/blankets?? Not cool for those of us who are allergic to fragrance. I would expect a LOT MORE for the price we just paid for 2 nights stay. Just saying. Not to mention, our room wasn't cleaned until we called 3 times and requested it- which wasn't until 3:00 pm.

Fun space and actually really good food but WHY must they have a cutlery/service table in the middle of everything? It's so weird. Really cheapens the place to have that in the dining area next to the bar. It's an odd layout in general the way they've structured the dining areas. But when the place is full of people it's really quite fun and worth going!

Ambiance and food in the lobby lounge areas were fabulous. Enjoyed the live much each evening. Great breakfast buffet every morning. Hotel service was not as great. Rooms were good. Didn't arrive to clean our room until 3:30pm right as we were arriving home from a long day skiing. Next day was not until late again even after asking for earlier service.

We were just there last week with a ski club group of about 40+. EVERYTHING was A+, especially the service. Everyone from the shuttle drivers, front desk personnel, bar tenders, dining room servers, house keeping, etc. were very pleasant and helpful. Not one bad interaction/experience all week. As a group leader, it's nice to here nothing but accolades about the property we chose. The rooms and facilities (pool, hot tubs, Fitness center, ski room, etc.) were all excellent. We're looking forward to a future stay at one of their other properties. And the location was also prime!

Love the pizza and vibe at the Limelight! Live music in the evenings with tasty wood burning oven style pizza that pears nice with an ice cold beer. Sit inside or out on a beautiful summer day. Will definitely be back during our next visit to Ketchum!

I've been coming to sun Valley every winter. For the last couple of times I stayed in limelight hotel. The minute you walking in you feel CARE, you feel welcomed!The front desk, the drivers, the cleaning ladies just exceptional services! The room is super clean, bed is super clean and comfortable! The towels are crystal clean and soft. There is not a one thing to complain about! And of the location is the best! Close to everything! If I could give them 10000 starts I would! Service at the bar for dinner. Nisa was the bartender and seemed overwhelmed. Ordered pizza and it came out of the oven and sat there 15 minutes. I asked her that maybe the pizza was ready and she said they must of just came out. Never checked on us again like she wasn't happy with us at all. Food and bar very good, service totally sucked. Look out for her, not very friendly with her job.

Nice, clean, comfortable, modern hotel. Parking is $15 in underground garage which is nice when it is dumping snow all week. Can't park on the street overnight or you will get towed. Big communal vibe in the lobby. Gets kinda loud and rowdy in a family friendly way after 5. Training the next gen of Ketchum partiers. Live music is nice to see in a setting where kids can dance too. Pretty good margarita for happy hour. Pizzas looked ok. Will try next time. Room 221 seems like it should have access to the balcony but it does not. ADA compliance or small child protection? Not sure why. Be sure to use your iPrefer reward number so you get credit. Even though I logged in when I reserved direct, my member account wasn't applied to the reservation. Resolved at the front desk. Very nice folks work here. They are saints for dealing with all the tourist mayhem. We were here on a busy holiday weekend.

I will admit I rolled my eyes when I heard we were going to a hotel bar. But after the night was over this ended up being my favorite stop of the night. This place felt like a bunch of grownups hanging out a recess. Shuffleboard over there, giggling over here, all with drinks. At some point in time a dog was hanging out next to us being cute. You can listen to live music (when it is playing of course, I would suggest that the live music play later into the night because the artist ended pretty early), you can watch a game in tv you can even ditch your kids in a kids room OR you can be an adult kid in the kid room and play Wii or read a book. Our service was awesome and our server had some fun with us. One of the drinks was wrong and he fixed it right away and didn't make it a big deal. There was a point in time where I was running around standing near things that I matched and ended up with a lamp shade on my head. (See image- I wore a lime green sweater and I matched the decor.) I thought I would get in trouble but everyone was joining in on the laughs, even the people working there. Drinks fab-o, food fab-o, fun fab-o!

Excellent hotel to stay in Sun valley. Staffs are very helpful and lovely breakfast every morning! I highly recommend this hotel to stay.

We had a Texas ski council Apres here at the bar. Our bartender was so nice and handsome. I had a glass of light beer for $3! They brought us a large tray of celery, carrots, cauliflower, broccoli , radishes, green bell , yellow bell with bowls of hummus and ranch dressing. They also brought us of every kind! They were all good!

I have been to the hotel a few times; astounded that everyone seems to recognize me, even the housekeepers. An outstanding venue, but this time they really stepped up when I needed it. All was well during the stay, when my Type 1 diabetic son came down with severe gastrointestinal episode. The staff jumped into action: they located medical facilities, lent me a car, cancelled my dinner reservations, and extended our stay. My family and I are eternally grateful for the gracious help extended to us in our hour of need.

Special shout out to Jonathan and Phaedron (sp?) for going above and beyond. I called to ask if they had more coffee pods at 5:15AM this morning and Phaedron came to my door so quickly with more pods that the coffee was still brewing the last pod.

What a lovely property! Not one person that works there walked by w/out a greeting. Room was so comfortable & well appointed. Eric that checked us in was a delight! We'll be back.

4.5 stars. I come to Sun Valley every year for business, and was so glad to have a new option this year. While our usual, the Sun Valley Resort, may be more high-end than the Limelight, I had a much nicer and comfortable stay at the latter. The hotel is fairly new so everything was so clean and the amenities were good. The best feature would be its location, being right in the middle of town and walking distance to all the bars and restaurants. The room was very functional and streamlined and just perfect for a business trip. They are even pet-friendly!! Definitely my new Sun Valley go-to.

I recently completed a 5 day stay in Sun Valley -- with 35 people in my group - and we couldn't be happier with the Limelight. (I am in the travel business and a tough judge!). At a time when good service in ski towns is increasingly hard to come by, the Limelight staff knocked it out of the park. Exhibit A: I asked the bartender if they had a specific brand of beer that I know several people in my group liked, but it was not one they normally carried. By the next day, she had ordered 4 cases. Exhibit B: The bed linens were great but I have a tough time sleeping with a thick pillow. The staff searched throughout the hotel for a thin one, and left me 8 (!) to choose from. When I mentioned that I still hadn't slept well, Kris at the front desk offered to drive to Hailey to buy me one (I am not not THAT fussy and waved him off!). Exhibit C: We all arrived at the airport at different times (35 people!@) and the hotel staff handle the airport transfers with ease. And when we got there, their staff is happy to drive you anywhere in town in one of their fleet of SUVs, for any reason. Sure makes it nice not to have to rent as car (at $300 a day!) Exhibit D: Lots of my clients had small changes they needed to make to their reservations, and the hotel handled them all with a smile (also increasingly hard to come by these days). Most every client mentioned to me how great the service was. So for a big group visiting Sun Valley, we were all really impressed and happy with the whole team. Nice job folks!

Proof of Covid vaccine required at the Lounge, really?? Is this New York City? I'm vaccinated but pro choice. Will never be back to the Limelight.

Fun venue for visitors and locals. Pricing reasonable. For a hotel it was more than reasonable. Music was great . Staff is dedicated and works hard. Food was great marinated olives could have been. Little more daring

Fabulous bar, food and rooms! Love this place. Ella was an attentive server, and our drinks were expertly made by Danny. Thanks for an enjoyable evening!

This was our first stay at the Limelight in Ketchum and we will definitely return. The room with a balcony was outfitted with chairs and table for enjoying the sunshine and view of the mountains. The king bed & pillows were cozy and room spacious. Best of All, the breakfast Buffett was the best EVER! Complete with an assortment of fresh juices, fruit & veggies and real scrambled eggs! By the way, the bacon was crisp and delish. Don't pass up the pastry selection brought in daily from a local bakery. Happy we spent three fabulous days at the Limelight!

Not worth the $$$. Stayed last week and was very disappointed. Paid more for the fireplace and it didn't work, coffeemaker didn't work and the bathroom sink was plugged up. The managements remedy for the situation was a $40 refund on a $350 a night room. What an insult...save your money.

This is a beautiful hotel in the heart of Ketchum. It's new, clean and modern. It's walking distance to shops and restaurants. We stayed here for 3 nights, Gourmet breakfast is included in the stay and the restaurant for dinner is outstanding. It's refreshing they inforce vaccination and masking requirements. Floors 4 and 5 offer larger rooms with views and controlled access to those floors. The gym and hot tubs are refreshing after a day of skiing.

We visited towards the end of Feb. '21. Most people on first impression would like the atmosphere. However, it can get loud bc it's just a huge open space. No big deal, unless the music sucks, which it did. And sucks is an understatement. My friends and I support amateur musicians but come on! Two guys on guitars, one that can't play acoustic or sing. Rock, rap, chill, not sure what to call it other than terrible. Food was fine but not if we had to listen to that while we eat. My friend said burger might be the best in town. Wish I knew the name, actually I don't, but for this review.....'Moon...something. Headed to Whiskey Jack's to wash the bad taste out of our ears.

Out with friends and decided to try the Limelight for dinner. It has a large outdoor eating area and live music and water fountains and was very pleasant atmosphere at the beginning of the evening, however, once it got dark, there were very few lights and no candles provided on the table, so we had to use our phones to see our food. The food was good, we shared Lamb and steelhead and pizza. All three were very good. The service was awful and it was not that crowded. Drinks took a long time to come out and one had to sent back, which the waitress forgot about and had to be reminded. No candles on our table and when we asked for a to go boxes, the never brought them. Willing to try it again, but no excuse for such bad service for an expensive restaurant.

Both the hotel itself and the staff were superb! In all of our interactions with the staff we found them to be gracious and responsive. The rooms were very accommodating and spacious, especially the corner rooms. Breakfast was wonderful, with a very nice variety. We enjoyed happy hours in the bar/lounge area. Both the fitness center and the pool/hot tubs were excellent. They provide shuttle service, taking us wherever we wished to go in the Ketchum area, on top of the every 15 minute runs to the slopes. Highly recommend!

Great location and service. Easy to get to and from the mountain and to the sun valley lodge. Food and drinks were very good and the staff were all very nice and accommodating. The room was lovely. Looking forward to going back.

My company booked meetings here of which I am normally a part. The hotel is requiring vaccination, even to come in only for meetings and stay elsewhere. They will not accept proof of antibodies, so clearly there was no common sense involved in this decision as multiple studies show natural immunity is more effective. Don't force your family or coworkers. Just stay elsewhere.

We stopped by to have a drink at the outdoor area and loved the place so much that we booked a room, grabbed our stuff and moved! And this did not disappoint Corner room overlooking the town.. sunrise was stunning AND a huge tub !!! My FAV! And to our surprise - the best breakfast buffet we have had in years. Eggs, ripe fruit, fresh bagels. Great coffee! We cried when we had to leave ! #comingbacksoon. We want to try the spa deal :)

Great customer service. Great evenings and a wonderful breakfast. Highly highly recommend this place to anyone visiting sun valley. Love the live music and the atmosphere. Solid choice.

Great modern luxury hotel in Sun Valley. Solid experience all the way around. Helpful front desk and concierge staff, fun and large lobby with tons of seating areas, big screen projector if it happens to be game day, excellent lounge food (especially the pizzas), clean rooms with big Samsung TVs, eco-conscious (no single use toiletries, no plastic water bottles), and I really enjoyed the underground parking garage instead of valet give the number of trips to the car with our outdoor and baby gear. Extra points for the lovely pool and double hot tubs!

Best veggie burger in town!!!! They really go the extra mile with this thing. Most people get jealous when they see me eating one. The one issue is I often make it a double and they have no standard upgrade price for this, so please add the upgrade to the menu.

If you're not a local don't bother coming here. I was instantly made to feel like an outsider but the local guy who the bartender knows got all of the cheer oh and I guess he didn't have to wear a mask as he walked in. The bartenders are complaining to teach other as I'm standing their and they also have zero personality. The bar staff didn't know that I was apart of a group that walked out to the patio so they preceded to talk crap about the size of the group instead of be thankful that there are patrons coming in so they still have a damn job. Will not be coming back here at all.

I just came home from my daughters wedding in sun valley and it was perfect! Limelight did an amazing job catering to our needs and making it just as we hoped! Everyone thought the food was phenomenal and the set up was amazing with a fire pit with chairs right outside on the patio and the bar right between the dinner room and patio in a nice space all overlooking the mountains! I worked with BJ Sullivan and she was always so helpful and awesome with helping with decisions and ideas! We loved the venue and would highly recommend it for anyone!

We booked this hotel for our 3 kids and a puppy. Was going to be our first time. Unfortunately the airlines canceled our flight after arriving at the airport because sun valley airport was closed due to weather and the next flight wasn't till 4 days later. We called the hotel from the airport after learning that our flight was canceled to ask for a refund from the hotel and they flat out refused. After speaking to the supervisor they came back with half refund. Their complete lack of understanding of the situation or empathy for families who are dealing with travel interruptions was appalling. Of course you have a 30 day cancellation but weather disruptions and airports being closed should be an obvious consideration for you to waive that for families who made every effort to be there. Horrible service!

We enjoyed our stay at the Limelight. It's location is exceptional, the staff are great, and the facility itself is very well done. Unfortunately, the room above us was being worked on, leading to lots of stomping and loud noise throughout our 3-day stay. We eventually called the front desk and complained, leading to the noise stopping, which we weee very appreciative of. I understand there never is a really good time to do renovations, so we were just unlucky. Since the hotel is so nice, however, it is something we were able to look past. Will definitely stay again!

Flew to Boise and then drove 2.5 hours where we originally had a reservation for the entire weekend at another hotel. We arrived later than originally planned due to unforeseen circumstances and the other hotel we booked had no 24 hour front desk like it stated online. We were stranded in Ketchum and no where to stay. Luckily limelight was one of the only open hotels that time of night and Chase was able to get us a room right away. He took good care of us and made sure we had a place to stay for the night and we will gladly we back! 5 star customer service all the way around.

One of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed at! Staff was so kind, welcoming and helpful. Room had a beautiful view and the drinks at the bar were delicious. Get the burger- it's seriously the best I've had. Gorgeous lobby, great location, etc.. will be back!!
