"LimeRed is a local favorite, with two Western Massachusetts locations and this one in Allston. For coffee needs, LimeRed has a full espresso bar with unique flavors like an espresso red bean latte; the shop uses organic milk from local farms. The tea options are excellent as well; try an earl grey milk tea or the beautifully layered strawberry matcha latte. The Boston location also has a kitchen serving up a variety of baked goods, including egg puffs, croissants (try the Nutella), macarons, and cake." - Karen Wilber

Drinks were ok. What got me here writing was the service or lack there of. Stopped in for a quick pick me up and was greeted with a monotone I hate my job woman who got our order wrong and when confronted, said if we wanted tea it’s a dollar more. Yes ma’am we wanted tea and ordered tea. If unclear, simply ask or speak, perhaps even repeating an order would be good standard business practice. Will not return. We were there, Saturday 6/14 around 3pm. Cheers ✌️ A typical owner’s response to a bad review is blame the customer. Brown sugar milk tea was what was ordered, it isn’t a customer’s job to review how that is entered into your system. Take business accountability, your service just sucked and there’s plenty of room to improve upon it.

LimeRed Teahouse is a small cafe located right outside of the BU campus, with a wide range of desserts and drinks to try out. The staff are pretty welcoming, able to cater to most requests and are able to explain any recommendations to new customers. They make the drinks pretty quick and kept us informed throughout the process. We typically come here to get Bubble Waffles with Ice cream, which does take a little time to make, but the batter used is light and fluffy and goes well with the ice cream they serve. They also have macarons here, which are pretty standard. The teas are good, some of them don't have as strong as a flavor as they should but overall is pretty good. Definitely a good place to study or just to hang out while in the area.

Google
This place had some of the best boba I have ever had but the oolong tea itself was lacking in the roasted flavor. This place definitely has great toppings and the price was reasonable. I loved the atmosphere it was very calming with lots of open seating.

On the first visit, I had the Rose Jasmine tea. It was the best cup of tea I've ever had. It hit perfectly on a rainy day and my only suggestion for improvement on that day would have been a better choice of music. Revisited:I got the same drink on my second visit and it didn't hit quite the same. It was lukewarm and had an off (kind of burnt) taste, like drinking dish soap. The atmosphere is still great. The one-woman show is quite busy preparing to-go orders, all of them cold drinks with vibrant colorways; I commend her for that. I don't think I'll be back around the way for some time but if I do find myself in Packard's corner soon, I'd love to try one of those colder drinks that she's selling like hotcakes so that I can update my review. The jury is still out.

Google
Awesome Boba Tea spot in a very convenient location. Extensive selection of different teas & I also appreciate the Tablet where you can place your order without having to wait on anyone. The shop was very clean & service was great. The matcha orange tea was for me personally really good as I got it with no sugar it still tasted great. The passion fruit tea was also good. The best part was the Honeycomb waffle ice cream, just a great dessert to have on a warm summer day. Wish they would have more ice cream selections like chocolate or green tea as That would be just right...overall would go again & again.

Overall experience is very good! Very quiet place, good for reading and work.

This is definitely one of my most favorite bubble teas shop to go with friends or even just going there for date. I love it that they use fresh fruits to make their fresh fruits bubble tea. My favorite one is grapefruit bubble and matcha orange with aloe. Definitely try the oat milk latte, it's absolutely best latte I never had anywhere else and the milk texture that staff makes is perfect the way I like. Limered desert is amazing especially matcha tiramisu which is always made freshly at the store. I love it when there is variety option flavors of maroons which you can get it a box of flavors and give as a gift. These photos credit to Limeredteahouse instagram. You can check their website from instagram and Facebook

Google
Phenomenal boba place with drinks that aren't too sweet (for the best). They also don't go overboard on the ice, which I was thankful for. I got the Red Bean Milk Tea because I was curious to taste that combination. They definitely delivered. I think it had to be of my favorite boba orders. Another person in our party had gotten the passionfruit tea, which I found pretty bitter. I would definitely try out different items on the menu though. Pictured here is the smallest size.

Yelp
Cute little cafe on Commonwealth that has little bites and various teas and drinks. There were a lot of students who were studying inside, and the overall vibe was clean and cute. The barista was not really friendly and just doing her job, so I didn't necessarily feel very welcomed there. The egg waffle I got was tasty and the milk tea was okay.

Darlina L.

Yelp
Nice quiet ambiance for studying. However, the drinks themselves were highly lacking. I got the Assam Black Milk Tea (cold, 50% sugar, with Oreo crumbs) and it tasted basically like water. The Taro Milk Tea was slightly better. Overall, very disappointing experience. There are so many better boba options in the area, I won't be back...

Yelp
Always a fan of Lime Red! I often ordered from UberEats as they had some good food to go along with their drinks - their pastries and desserts are pretty solid, but I would mainly just recommend coming here for the tea and getting something else as an extra if anything at all. They have a tablet for ordering and the process was relatively seamless before the drinks came out pretty quickly shortly after. The quality is always pretty solid, but nothing stands out that much with their drinks - just a good price and not too bad overall. They have a ton of nice seating with outlets available at most tables so coming to do work here is a solid option. Overall, I enjoy Lime Red and think it's a nice spot to grab bubble tea, sit, and work without disturbances.

Yelp
Very good bubble tea place for students and everyone. I love the fact that you can place your order from the iPad and customize your beverage selection. No need to communicate your special preferences! Very convenient. The staff is friendly and wore a mask when I visited in October 2023. Honestly, it is a wise choice because the indoor ventilation is pretty bad. CO2 stayed around over 2000 ppm (shortly after I took the below photo). 5 stars for the bubble tea + iPad ordering system but 1 star for the poor air circulation.

Yelp
I ordered a mystery bag through their Too Good To Go partnership (which I recommend everyone to download. It basically allows restaurants to sell you a mystery bag of their food, typically before they close, for a cheap discount, saving food that would otherwise be thrown out after hours). In my mystery bag, I got a Matcha Latte with tapioca and a strawberry smoothie all for $3.99! As far as food quality wise, the matcha latte tea was a bit on the light side, but the tapioca was surprisingly fresh considering it was 15 minutes before closing. As well as the strawberry smoothie, it had a good balance of sweetness from the strawberries. Overall, the drinks are not too bad. Just one thing to note, in my matcha latte, I found a small piece of plastic, perhaps from packaging of some sorts. But, at the end of the day, it was right before closing and the workers looked tired. Everyone makes mistakes, but that's just one thing to look out for!

Quynh M.

Yelp
Love love love! The tea is delicious and the staff is so helpful and friendly. I do love being able to order in store using the iPad at the counter. There's a learning curve to getting used to the many different options. But once you get familiar with it, the ordering process is much more efficient and allows the servers to focus on what they do best, which is making the teas.

Yelp
Drink quality: 0/5 (oolong milk tea) Boba quality: 3/5 Staff/ambiance: 4/5 As someone who loves boba and grew up in LA as well as traveled to Asia, this place had one of the most disappointing drinks I've had. My drink was so watered down that I couldn't tell there was any tea in it, I literally felt like I paid $6 for milky water and boba. If you're going to get a drink I would stay away from the milk teas, can't attest for the other drinks. The boba itself was not bad. I would say the biggest perk would be the study space. There were a lot of outlets and decent amount of space at the tables. The aesthetics of the place are pretty nice too.

Yelp
I was craving something sweet so I got the Fresh Taro Milk (with oat) -- this was a pleasant surprise, as it was just oat milk w/ taro paste... which was surprisingly good + refreshing haha. However, this was like $7.50 which is honestly really expensive for a 16oz drink so I wouldn't get it often for sure... it satisfied my cravings, but I wouldn't come back here often just for this. The store is really cute, clean, good lighting and I take work calls from here too (Wifi never works though, lol)... the bathrooms are clean though which is nice, and lots of natural light.

Yelp
I've driven out of my way before just to get a cup of their delicious caffe latte, that's why I'm giving it 5 stars. I like how I get to place my order on the screen, rather than giving it to a cashier, both for accuracy and my introversion. The place is always clean, including the counter tops and they have some nice decor as well. I'd be a regular if I lived in Allston, but a 3.5 mile drive is worth it!

Yelp
Following a day of walking and driving then picking up a few things from the dispensary- pausing a bit for tea, was needed. LimeRed is conveniently located on one of the busiest streets in the Allston area with the Packard's Corner rail station right in front. This Tea shop has a large feel, a relaxing vibe and the neutral design is pleasing. You could place your order using the upright screen or walk up to the counter. My almond milk Matcha+White Chocolate was very good and my Lychee Boba (to-go) was refreshing. The lychee itself however, needed more oomph (or maybe I should've requested an extra shot of it?). Hubs decided on the Turmeric tea that had a sashay bag full of herby things+ orange+spice notes which he totally enjoyed. By the way...Tea isn't the only thing here- there's coffee, macarons and other pastries available. The tea quality was fine and so was the price. The counterperson was swift as she handled my orders then got some help afterwards when the place got a bit busy. Service was excellent and the taste in music and volume wasn't bothersome when my husband and I had our teas here.

Qme L.

Yelp
Stopped by here for a late afternoon treat. It was quite busy when we first got there around 430 pm on a Saturday. There is a kiosk where you can place your order and pay with card. If you prefer to pay with cash or order with a person, you can walk past the kiosk to the other register in the store. I ordered the waffle sundae ($9) with matcha and black sesame. They were busy so it took a while for it to be made. We waited about 20 minutes. I wouldn't recommend ordering that if you are in a hurry. The waffle was over cooked, so difficult to chew in some places. It comes with two scoops of ice cream but they are very small scoops. The black sesame lacked flavor... it was just sweet. I liked the option of adding many toppings without an up charge. Would come back to try their teas, but maybe skip the waffle sundae.

Yelp
I had forgotten that I had reviewed this business on Yelp. It's really too bad about this place. This place has been on the decline since around 2019. The staff, including, the manager have changed and it's a completely different vibe. This used to be a place I frequented often and they were very personable. Now, I just see people that are here just for the "job" The quality of the teas have gone down, and for these prices aren't worth it. I stopped coming here just before the pandemic hit.

Jackie L.

Yelp
The tea quality was just horrible. I had diahreah problems. The service was terrible. The owner has attitude problems. I have seen many better places and this one just isn't worth buying from. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!!

Julia S.

Yelp
Best bubble tea I've had in the Boston area. I got the Assam Milk Tea with oat milk and boba. Unusual for a boba place to offer oat milk. Note: This place doesn't use the powdered "milk" that other places use (that's actually made with vegetable fat) if you get regular milk. The boba was cooked to chewy perfection. Also the cups they use have a nice round, aesthetically pleasing feel.

Joyce K.

Yelp
Very cute tea house with an assortment of drinks and bakery items. The matcha strawberry with boba was very delicious, albeit a little heavy. I kind of wish they used plastic boba straws instead of paper ones since the paper straw sort of deformed as I was drinking it and easily got bent. Saw a lot of people working on their laptops here and seems like a nice little spot to spend an afternoon. They had a lot of really cute macarons that look homemade! Barista was really helpful and cheerful.

Woo K.

Yelp
Small shop near BU. Honestly the options are pretty great. Tea had a nice subtle flavor. Not as strong as I usually like it, but it had a nice flavor. The boba had a nice flavor as well. Some boba shops do not have a good boba flavor but this place was a nice surprise. They have non dairy options which is a plus for me. Good overall shop. If I was going to BU I would prob come by alot more often.

Yelp
The BEST cake EVER!!! Lime Red Teahouse has the best cake, and it's the hazelnut crunch. It's smooth, rich, not too sweet (incredibly important for a good dessert!!), and just simply delicious. I don't think I've had such a cake anywhere else. And how I got it is a fun story (in hindsight!). I ordered a matcha dessert from Lime Red on my Uber Eats app. I got a notification in some time that they didn't have it and gave me 10 mins to change my order. And of course, the app semi-froze, i.e. the countdown kept going but it wasn't letting me select a substitute. With 10 seconds left on the clock, it finally unfroze and I selected the first thing I could see. Yup, it was this cake. Sounds like fate, haha. And by now, you can bet, I've had it multiple times! I also tried their earl grey shortbread cookie (with actual tea leaves!). Wow, no artificial flavoring here and that's a big win in my book. The one star off is for their tea. The first time around, the passion fruit jasmine tea was incredible and we enjoyed every sip. The second time, the mango jasmine tea was bitter as if the tea had been brewed for too long and the mango taste was subtle. And they didn't listen to our ice level instruction. So yes, this is not a five star review but am I going back? Oh yeah!

Kelly Z.

Yelp
Yum! So refreshing for the hot weather! This tea house is well decorated on the inside. It is an IG pic spot for sure! The worker was very nice but she was the only one working there. I understand it wasn't that busy when we were there but I always feel that no worker should be left alone! She was very diligent and nice to me and my sister and she has lots of patience because my sister couldn't figure out what she wanted! We also got an ice cream and waffle on the side and she packed them up nicely for us to go. Overall I wish I lived closer because I'd definitely be coming here for a refreshing drink all the time!

Precious L.

Yelp
I went there again today (Saturday afternoon) and there were no seats available, so l had to take my drink to go. I also realized that the drink I got from the fresh milk series has no tea in it. I don't know how I didn't realize that last time. Also, there was only one lady working there but the service wasn't too slow. It's a cute place but there's not a lot of seating space. Additionally, considering the fact that the drink cost $6 + $0.42tax, I feel like it should have more than just whole milk with tapioca pearls soaked in brown sugar.

Jeeyeon M.

Yelp
The interior here is so cute but their teas were so underwhelming :( Three of us got jasmine milk teas and they were so watery you couldn't even call it tea. A bit disappointing as it looked like the waffle sundae they sold was good.

Melissa Z.

Yelp
Ordered: Macarons (Green Tea, Expresso, Creme Brûlée, Pistachio, Coconut, Honey Lavendar), Earl Grey Shortbread, Matcha Sugar Cookie, Oolong Milk Tea Cute teahouse that offers boba and a variety of pastries. The matcha cookie was my favorite of the two cookies; it was soft, chewy, and not overly sweet. The soft, crumbly texture of the shortbread cookie was nice, but the earl grey flavor wasn't the best. They also have a decent variety of macarons, but unfortunately, they look better than they taste. They were too soft and didn't have that classic chewy texture. Certain flavors also tasted stale, so I'd recommend skipping the macarons and trying their other desserts. I've been wanting boba for a while and this definitely satisfied my craving! The boba was the perfect amount of chewiness and the tea was refreshing. Would recommend checking this place out for some good boba and tasty desserts!

Susan M.

Yelp
Cute interior. Quiet place for students to study. Prices are fair. Kiosk ordering system. Got the Matcha mocha with pudding. It was good. The mocha was stronger than the matcha. Will come back again to try the other drinks!

Sarah M.

Yelp
Vegan boba! My friend who has been vegan for 10+ years got to have boba for the first time because of how awesome this place is!!

May C.

Yelp
Saw this spot on Yelp and immediately told my bf to take me here. There's street parking nearby and if you're lucky you can get a metered spot right out front. I ordered the matcha strawberry and loved it. It was a hot summer day so it was the perfect. The interior was nicely decorated and it seemed like a cute study spot as well.

Savannah B.

Yelp
One of the best tea places in Boston! My mom and I both got the Matcha Strawberry Latte which is premium matcha from Kyoto, fresh purée strawberry, boba, and milk. It was abso1lutly amazing! It was one of the best boba teas I have ever had! The wait was super short as well and super cute inside! It would be a great place to take a few pictures. The staff here was also helpful in explaining the different boba teas and what was in them, which I appreciated. The street parking here is usually available, which is unheard of in downtown Boston!

Jon C.

Yelp
Unassuming boba shop from the outside but the inside is well designed and the boba is excellent. The assam milk tea is what I got. Students come here to study. The employee was a little robotic but she did her job.

Terri C.

Yelp
Good bubble tea place that also has smoothies and snacks. As in other tea bubble tea places, you can customize your drink with sugar level and ice level. They use real tea and fresh milk here, no powder stuff. There's a good variety of tea flavors - jasmine, oolong, earl grey, chai, and others.

Melanie W.

Yelp
Came here after dining at Holly Crab which is right next door. We ordered regular size peach oolong and strawberry matcha latte. The regular size is actually small compared to other tea houses. My friend had peach oolong which was refreshing. I had strawberry matcha latte with half sugar, it is okay since I am not a fan of matcha but decided to give it a try. Deep matcha taste since I don't like mixing the drink and ended up drinking the strawberry puree at the end.

Fox E.

Yelp
If you die here, it's Limedead. And if you get rolls here, it's Limebread. And if you come here for Lemons, but they only have Limes, it's Limeinstead. Obviously should be either Limegreen or Cherryred, otherwise it's just false advertising, after all - who has ever seen a red lime? I've tried a couple of drinks here now, and honestly they'd be heading for a 3-star rating if it weren't for how personable, helpful, social, and friendly the two girls were in here - especially one of them. As I said, employees were super friendly and we shared some jokes and fun, but I have to say that the drink quality and authenticity here is nowhere near as good as I expected it to be, considering all the great reviews and the word of mouth in New England about this local chain. I don't think they'd do well in NYC, Houston or San Francisco, to say the least. I just don't particularly think the boba tastes good... on the sweet side, a little bit anglicized or Americanized, and not in a good way such as for example, California/NYC's Boba Guys. So altogether not a great product. But lot of people love it, so try it for yourself, and I'll give it another try based on the awesome service and how awesome they are on insta and other social media... Barbie loves them on there and wants to come and try it too. And no, I'm not lime to you about that, I'm being honest.

Gloria Y.

Yelp
How does someone like Melanie W. return to a place again just to write another bad review? Sounds like she is maybe a competitor and is trying to hurt their business. I will not purposely write a negative review during COVID-19 because I wish to support my local businesses, not hurt them. I don't know how someone with strong negative bias got Yelp Elite badge. I've been to Limered many times and I think their drink is the best. Every place puts too much sugar and powders in and it is not good. Limered is natural, good tea, good ingredient, not strong in sugar and fake ingredient. The instruction from the cafe is to SHAKE the drink! She complain that she hates mixing the drink and doesn't like the flavor. So, mix the drink. Or don't get matcha, if you hate it! I was curious so I ask the manager what size the small is. It is 16 ounces, which is the same size I get from Starbucks. So, why she lie and say it's small? BECAUSE SHE TRIES TO RUIN A GOOD BUSINESS!

Spencer M.

Yelp
The service is outstanding and the workers are super friendly. Great place to study if other cafes are packed. The only downside is that they aLwAYs play K-pop.

Vivian C.

Yelp
LimeRed Tea House is located a short walk away from Love Art Udon, so we ended up there after our udon noodle dinner. They have a pretty leafy instagram worthy wall and is the sort of place where you order at the counter, pick up your order when you hear your name, and find yourself a table. If you're lucky. At nearly 8pm one Friday, we looked about and figured that we would make do with the bench in the back with a stray chair that we were able to wrangle up, but the ladies behind the counter noticed and volunteered to clear their personal items from the table in the back by the bathroom for us - how considerate! It was too cold outside for me to go with one of their cold drinks or ice cream that evening, and I'm not much into hot teas (with the exception of chai tea latte, which they didn't have), so I opted for a rose lychee macaron $3. It came in a cutesy plastic baggie and was a bit larger than other local options.

Rebecca M.

Yelp
It feels fitting to FINALLY write a review for LimeRed Teahouse on National Boba Day ahhhh! In short, this is the best boba in Boston. (Their other locations out in Northampton and Amherst are wonderful too--the quality is consistent, even though some menu items differ. Try visiting them all!) They set the bar for the competition. They only use real, natural ingredients, so you can actually pick which type of milk you want and choose the level of sweetness for your drink. 25% sweet is my go-to! The Boston space comfortable, clean, and zen. It's equally as good a space for afternoon breaks with friends or powering through a study session. The staff are really great too at letting you make modifications to drinks too. My signature move is adding cold brew to milk tea and creating a coffee milk tea! It's fantastic--especially if you need the extra caffeine boost! I only wish it was permanently listed on the menu, but I can make do for now :P

Amanda N.

Yelp
Service was great. Nice atmosphere and cute cups. Would come back again next time I'm in Boston.

Beni H.

Yelp
First time getting something from LimeRed- got their Matcha Strawberry Latte. Drove here from a different town cuz a fellow matcha lover told me this place uses actual excellent quality matcha - "not some green tea flavored powder" as they put it. Had to try, and then saw they had this beauty of a latte For those who might not know - I'm sure fellow boba connoisseurs know this - bitter matcha, sweet strawberries, and creamy milk is a delightfully delicious mix of flavors. (Please do try if you haven't.) Getting back to the latte - am drinking it while writing this - it is really (like really really) good. Then why four stars not five? The fresh strawberry puree(fresh!!!) has seeds in it that um..pop+crunches when you drink. If you've ever had anything with chia seed, imagine that texture but a little more gritty. No, it's not pleasant but the flavor is so good!! I can't stop drinking this. The tea has such a fresh goodness to it. If you're not a fan of sugary syrupy bubbles(tapiocas) or bubble tea flavor, or you enjoy quality matcha, or you want a bubble tea that has a Insta-friendly aesthetic, try this. Will be coming again to try LimeRed's other teas Drink: Matcha Strawberry Latte - large with boba, 50% sugar, no milk substitute Flavor: 5/5 Texture: 4/5 Price: who cares, it was worth it! For those who care for these: Service: 10/5 (lady was super nice) Drink aesthetic (for y'all Instagram foodies): 5/5 before stirring!!!**** 3/5 after stirring it looks like a pink swamp in a cup (again, who cares!! It's good)

Soo H.

Yelp
First time here, and walking in, I must say I was initially impressed with the beautiful interior and art on the wall. Obsessed with coconut and coffee as I am, I ordered the large iced espresso coconut latte with boba at 25% (or 30, not quite remembering) sweetness. I did not wait too long for the drink, maybe less than 5 minutes, and the drink itself had just the right amount of coconut flavor and sweetness to it. Their tapioca however was nothing too special, and I've had better before at other places. My friend ordered the strawberry matcha latte, which did not have enough strawberry in it (hence the 4 instead of 5 stars). Pictures on yelp show a nice layer of strawberry but her drink was entirely green with specks of red at the top. When she asked if she could get more strawberry, they said they couldn't add more. Maybe it was the person who made it or just one of those days, but we were not particularly impressed with the famous drink. All in all, I would probably come back here if I'm in the area, since they have unique drinks like the espresso coconut latte.

Yelp
Came in on Monday with a friend and really loved LimeRed! First off the place is so nice, such an amazing place to study. The green wall with hanging lights was super cute!!! Since we're form out of town me and my friend rolls pictures here haha. In terms of drinks I got a hot black milk tea with boba and I really loved the flavor! The size was also good for the price , which is great. The boba consistency was perfect, and the sweetness level was just right. I also got the egg waffle without ice cream (I was feeling cold oops), and while it was a bit doughy the flavor was excellent. I really wish I could give this place 5 stars but the drinks me and my friend got were lukewarm rather than hot. Other than that the flavor of everything was great, and service was amazing.

Jennifer R.

Yelp
I decided to come to Limered Tea house after seeing pictures of the waffle sundae online and instantly thought... "I need to try this!" I came on a Saturday evening around 8pm and ordered a waffle sundae with matcha ice cream. Service was really fast, there was no line when I arrived. The wait time for the waffle sundae is about 5minutes since they need to make the waffle. When I got the waffle there was no complaints. It looked delicious and it was delicious. Ice cream was good and waffle was warm. The only thing... since it's a small place we had to be on the look out to see who was leaving soon in order to snatch up a table. I enjoyed my time here and will definitely be back for some more. I've read a lot of good reviews on the pearl milk tea so I will try that next.

Carmen C.

Yelp
I'm always down for some bubble tea and waffles! Came here last weekend after lunch and ordered the waffle sundae with black sesame ice cream, green tea ice cream, and mocha topping. You can pick up to two flavors of ice cream because it comes with two big scoops and unlimited toppings. (some toppings are extra $) The HK style bubble waffle is made fresh so expect some wait time. Other items on the menu include pastries, macarons, coffee/tea, bubble milk tea, and more. Overall, this is a great spot for dessert and bubble tea.

Yelp
Waffle Sundae with Matcha ice cream: 5/5 !! Such a treat, especially because I can never find decent egg waffles around Boston. I wouldn't miss out on this. Red bean Milk Tea w/ boba: 3/5. It was way too sweet, and I requested for 50% sugar. I knew I should have gone with the classic jasmin milk tea. Overall, I'd come back again for their dessert and to try more boba flavors.

Yelp
Very rude lady at the front desk. The drink was amazing but the lady ruined our experience

Yelp
A sucker for bubble tea, plants, and cute cafes, I simply adore this place. It combines some of my fav things in one & excels in the three things I look for in a quality establishment: 1. Aesthetic: This cafe is too cute. Every corner got us 'ohh-ing' and 'aww-ing' at the set up. With walls covered with greenery, wooden frames, inspirational quotes, and potted plants scattered throughout--it's the perfect backdrop for that insta/snap you're about to take of your delicious treats (admit it, we all do it). 2. The goods: My friend and I both got bubble tea. The lychee jasmine tea that I ordered was fruity but not too sweet. I've ordered that drink from most of the competing boba places in the area, and LimeRed easily places in my top 3. I also like that they offer a various assortment of other sweets in addition to bubble tea: honeycomb waffles with ice cream, macaroons, soufflés, cheescakes. I WANT TO TRY IT ALL. 3. Customer service: because we basically wanted everything on the menu, my friend and I were taking a while to decide what to get. BUT the cashier was super nice about it and even gave us physical copies of the menu so we can have a closer look. Every employee smiled when we interacted with them and our drinks were ready quickly after we ordered- talk about great service! In summary: There are a lot of boba places in the area, but I would say LimeRed is one of the best. Definitely a must-try!

Yelp
Currently obsessed with Boba so on our day trip to Boston I had to get me some boba. This place was super cute! I definitely see myself bringing in my laptop, having some boba and listening to some relaxing tunes. I'm disappointed in the boba I got though. I wanted to venture out (usually I get taro or brown sugar at all boba spots) but it honestly wasn't my favorite. I'd get something more basic next time for sure and I think it would be good. This just wasn't for me but I still give them 4 stars.

Yelp
This might be the best boba in Boston. Is the the best boba ever? No, but it'll do when I can't stand the mediocre shops anymore. The matcha strawberry is watered down, and doesn't really taste like matcha. Just strawberry jam and water. I do really like the space. It's super open with lots of seats, cute art on the walls, and WiFi (very important). I also love their desserts! Their matcha tiramisu is super yummy, and so is their pistachio sponge cake. They have rotating flavors of mochi muffins too, and is one of the only shops I've seen here that does them. Most recently they had Apple Cider ones which were v v v yum. Overall, I'd definitely come back since I prefer tea shops over coffee shops for studying. I've also been eyeing their puff waffle ice cream, so that's next too.

Yelp
I always love an excuse to check out another boba establishment, and this time it was LimeRed! Right in the BU area, I was able to find a metered parking spot pretty easily. I ordered a lychee jasmine tea, and was able to customize it (no sugar for me today). The boba and lychee boba were also tasty. The jasmine tea overpowered the lychee flavor for me, but it was still very good. If I was in the area again, I'd come back/maybe try some of their other teas.

Yelp
Perfect place to get work done while enjoying a drink or a light snack. The Assam milk bubble tea ($4.80) had a strong black tea flavor while not being too sweet. The boba was also perfectly chewy - not overdone or underdone. They have plenty of outlets next to every table and free WiFi, which is convenient for students. The space is also nicely decorated, reminiscent of cafes you'd see in Asia. Unlike a lot of bubble tea shops, they take credit with no minimum!

Yelp
All of my friends love hanging out/studying at Limered! It's such a chill space for any sort of occasion:) The bubble teas are absolutely delicious and their flavors are very attractive. There are also plenty of boba in a drink haha. So much love and BU students are so lucky to have this awesome boba place around. Don't miss it!

Yelp
Honestly wanted to love this spot, but can't. Service is always friendly, but every time tortuously sloooooooow. Forever to make a drink, even longer than forever to make a Hong Kong style puff pancake, forever is like 30 minute to place and receive order. I get it, there must be a whole loyal young patron crowd that are there to hang out. But for everyone else that want the product to go, do we really have to hang out for 30 min to get a drink? Alas, the drinks are average and the food items are meh and over priced.

Yelp
Boba is pretty solid here! There are lots of drink options and have generally enjoyed all the drink choices I have gotten here - the strawberry matcha latte or the thai tea with boba for instance. Taking a star off since the boba was a little harder than I would have liked.

Yelp
Cute, aesthetic cafe with many tea options and endless flavors of macarons. They have espresso, matcha, and regular tea (Jasmine, Assam, oolong, etc.). The only non-caffeinated drink available is their chamomile turmeric tea. There aren't that many tables but they are close to wall outlets and there is free WiFi. The lighting isn't the best though, so I'm not sure if I'd be able to get a lot of work done here. I think their dessert selection is almost larger than their drink menu! They have so many flavors of macarons (sadly $3 each which is kind of pricey), cakes/pastries such as tiramisu, matcha tiramisu, cheesecake, mochi muffins, croissants, etc., and egg waffles which can be served with a shot of espresso or as a sundae. When I visited they had vanilla, matcha, red bean, and black sesame ice cream. I tried the waffle sundae. For about $9 you get an egg waffle with two scoops of ice cream and your choice of toppings like Oreo crumbs, chocolate sauce, whipped cream, and pocky. The ice cream was standard but the egg waffle was dry and not very flavorful. The dessert itself was cute but taste-wise I was pretty disappointed. For its quality I think the waffle sundae was way too overpriced. I would come back to try the drinks but there are so many other cafes in the area which I'd rather go to.
