Took my best friend here for a belated birthday celebration and definitely treated ourselves! Drinks were yummy, and portions were pretty fair. Food was decadent, though you definitely are paying a bit more for the ambiance. Go during golden hour and sunset for great photo ops and lighting, just don’t forget your sunnies 🌞

Google
The prices for mediocre food - very expensive. Didn’t think variety choices was great. And lastly became very sick after meal as did not sit well. The staff is wonderful and so courteous making the experience better. And atmosphere is just average - nice decor for overpriced place to dine.

Google
I go here because it is close to my house. It is ok. Yawn. Great location great service but the food does not do the location justice. It could be simpler and amazing but unfortunately this restaurant keeps missing the mark. Not sure if the chef is trying too hard or what. I say start by doing the simple stuff better not fancier.

Google
Great location and views, and the food photographs well, but a very middle of the road experience besides those two. Oysters in particular were a miss - bland, as they were drained of their liquor, and we had to ask our server to get one more as only eleven oysters arrived on the platter. Ceviche was nice on a warm day, as was the charcuterie selection. This particular visir we had to ask a *third* server to close us out, as our original server disappeared for the last forty minutes of our visit, and the other server in our section was pleasant but never actually brought the check either.

I was here for the first time this past week Monday evening. I met two girlfriends and we sat out on the terrace. I had a hankering for a view for the Bay Area. I was not disappointed. We brought sweaters and coats to bundle up in. The views and fog over San Francisco was a sight to be held. The hotel was gorgeous! The Bay Area California golden hour was mesmerizing. To be honest I was expecting the food to be ok but every dish was excellent! It was a most memorable evening and it will always be stamped in my mind. Thanks Limewood you did an excellent job of providing an unforgettable dinner experience with friends! BTW we arrived at 6:30 and hit the golden hour perfectly.

Dined here before for lunch but stopped in for desert and wine on memorial day evening. They happily sat us as it wasn't too busy. Food is very good from my previous experience. The fried chicken was really good and juicy from my memory. It's located inside the Claremont hotel. Parking was a little steep. 10$ an hour with no validation that I was aware of. Perhaps it's the holiday rates? Not sure.

We had two meals at the Limewood Bar and Restaurant in the Claremont Hotel. Both were outstanding meals. Breakfast omelet had to be one of the lightest, most flavorful omelets I have ever enjoyed. Dinner also did not disappoint. The fish was light and tender with sugar snap peas and smokey caramelized pearl onions. Highly recommended. Sorry I didn't take a pic, but that's not my thing. The outside patio dining is magical with the Bay view. It's pricey, but it's still recommended.

Google
Grilled whole fish is great, crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. Scallops are very fresh and cooked to it’s perfect tenderness. Ordered lamb ribs as appetizer, it was a little dry. Overall the quality of the ingredients are spectacular. However the style of cooking is on a more traditional side, not as exciting and innovative. All dishes are safe choices and delicious, but I expected more surprise with this kind of price range.

Yelp
What a great spot for a late afternoon charcuterie board, sparkling wine, polite staff and killer view! I arrived at the hotel around 2pm and hadn't eaten since breakfast. This was the perfect spot to grab a bite to eat and enjoy the spectacular view. The cheese plate was delicious and perfectly sized. The sparkling was perfect. Our server was friendly and made us feel quite welcomed.

Yelp
Great views. Other than that, this place is so disappointing - I would love to love it, but alas. We've given it a few tries over the years, and it never fails to disappoint. Last experience was so terrible I had to write this review. They're understaffed, so the service is terrible. My daughter had the fried chicken - was completely raw inside - so gross. $85 for a filet from "Limewood Prime" (no sides included), which is more than what you pay at Miller & Lux for example...so better be good right? Medium rare came out as a hockey puck. Sent it back, and this time medium rare was cooked blue. Sea bass was edible...that's the best I can say about the sloppy dish. Really wish they would turn it around, would be great to have a high end, quality restaurant in the area...unfortunatley this ain't it.

Yelp
Unacceptably noisy. Ugh. I was so ready to love this place. We went for Sunday brunch today and the first thing I noticed was the noise level. It was like a punch in the face. It was painfully noisy. Granted, it was the Sunday before Christmas, and I thought that must be the reason it was so noisy. But our waitress told us that this crowd and the noise level were nothing compared what they usually have on a Sunday brunch. Wow. The food was very standard. Nothing special. I was also surprised that eggs Benedict weren't even on the menu for a Sunday brunch. Are you kidding? We had to remind the wait staff about two orders: a drink order and a side order. I'm going to write that off to the noise level and assume they didn't hear us clearly when we ordered. The wait staff appeared to be trying hard. Yes, the location is iconic and the views are very nice, but I have to say I was disappointed with the overall experience. Maybe my expectations were too high. Honestly, I was happy to be out of there and back to some reasonable decibel levels. The parking was validated if you ate at the restaurant. If you're looking for a nice quiet place to have Sunday brunch, this ain't it. If you're wanting just some Instagram photos, just take your pictures and skip the restaurant.

Yelp
The service is super classy and kind. The views are awesome . The indoor seating was perfect for my wife and I to have a date lunch together. The rest of the hotel is fancy and once you're here it's a relaxing resort in the middle of hustle and bustle . Everyone needs to meet the helpful concierge ladies as they know the deals and shortcuts to enjoying this place .

Yelp
For me, the food and drinks are mid and restaurant is pretty loud I thought I was in El Torrito :P joking, kinda... They're understaffed and our server was probably having an off day. On a positive note, I was greeted by a friendly bellman, enjoyed the view and they validated my parking so yay on those!

Yelp
Recently dined at Limewood, and the experience was fantastic! I started with an Espresso Martini, which was delicious and perfectly crafted--a solid drink to kick off the evening. For appetizers, I tried the Black-Eyed Peas Fritters paired with a spiced tomato sauce. Fully vegan and incredibly flavorful; the combination was delightful. The Parker House Rolls, served with chives and bone marrow butter, added a rich touch and had great flavor that really set off the meal. Highly recommend the Crispy Rockfish. The hot sauce, buttermilk, and pickled onion added a spicy kick and complemented the fish beautifully. The hot sauce was especially flavorful and packed some heat, making the dish stand out. Overall, I suggest pairing the Espresso Martini with the Parker House Rolls and finishing off with the Crispy Rockfish. Limewood did not disappoint! ‍

Yelp
You can't beat the location. Great place to have a meal with friends or family. Amazing view beautiful weather. Service was good. We had smash burgers, rockfish sandwich, garlic, prawns, and the piccata for dessert was really good. After seeing the fried chicken plate on someone else's table, I kind of wish I would've had that. That being said, I was happy with my meal.

Yelp
The location and views is great, but the food was just okay. We started with the shishito peppers and grilled carrots, both of which were decent. The pesto pasta was fine, but didn't stand out. We finished with the Earl Grey crème brûlée, which was quite good. Overall a 3/5 experience but probably wouldn't return.

Yelp
I've lived in Oakland for two years and somehow have never been to the Claremont Hotel. We drive by often and I check the Limewood menu every so often. My dad was visiting so I suggested lunch on their patio. We hadn't event started eating and we already had a dinner reservation for the next evening. So, this is a review for lunch and dinner! Lunch, we sat right away on their patio. It was a little chilly but gorgeous views, comfortable and they offer blankets. We enjoyed some very delicious cocktails, a Roasted Chicken Salad and their B.E.L.T. The service was lovely. Our waitress was so cute and bubbly. She spotted us when we arrived for dinner the next night and came over to say hello. Very friendly and comfortable space. For dinner, we arrived around 6 and sat inside this time with my husband and toddler. Kid friendly! So appreciative. Our server Robert was also really kind and took great care of us. We started again with cocktails and later shared wine. We shared oysters on the half shell and shishito peppers. My husband and I shared the fried chicken, a side of mushrooms and truffle fries. We really enjoyed our meals at Limewood this week and can't wait to return! Thank you all at Limewood for your hospitality and great menu.

Yelp
Oh my goodness, I have only good things to say about this place. Came here with my boyfriend to celebrate our anniversary with high expectations and did not leave disappointed. My boyfriend had requested outdoor seating and we had the most beautiful view of the bay from the patio. The menu is pretty limited, but the excellent quality of the food makes up for it. I had the smash burger with fries which was simply divine. The fries were so crispy and fresh. The burger was so flavorful. The meat was cooked to perfection and was incredibly juicy. The bread was buttery and melted in your mouth. The service was absolutely impeccable. Oftentimes I feel that because we are a younger couple, we don't get as good of service but our waiter made us feel taken care of. Our food came out fast and hot. I also enjoyed an aperol spritz, which was great and refreshing. We had the crème brûlée for dessert which was the best i've had. I could actually eat it every day. Overall, the quality matches the reputation and price you pay to dine here. A great spot to celebrate a special occasion, we will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
Service was helpful, ambiance is impeccable, food was great. I need to go back and sit outside while watching the sunset though so I can rate it 5 stars. Regardless I really enjoyed my meal there, albeit was for business rather than pleasure. The rolls are fantastic.

Yelp
Love the view and menu. We go there every holiday to enjoy the decorations and cocktails in the lounge. Food was delicious and well made. Service was exceptional. We always have a good time.

Yelp
I've been to Limewood for dinner before, so was excited to try their brunch menu. Staff and Service: - I was a little confused as there were about 4 staff members that walked up to me as I was at the table mentioning they would be my server. I wasn't sure who to ask for what and when. - All staff members were very kind Food and Drinks: - Berkeley Smash Burger: tasty burger with a lot of flavor! The pickled green tomato was much better than I thought it would be - it was more of a subtle taste where I thought it would overpower the burger. The mustard aioli was also flavorful. - Claremont Sunshine: I enjoyed the kick from the jalapeños and Tabasco in this drink. Miscellaneous: - Parking lot available with ticket to pay when leaving. Limewood validates up to 3 hours, so don't forget to get your ticket validated before you leave! - Bathrooms are located outside of the restaurant and in the hotel - Indoor and outdoor dining available (weather permitting)

Yelp
This would be a three star review, but one star because of the food poisoning. More below. I've eaten here several times. The food is always mediocre, the service is always poor, and they always make you feel like they're doing you a favor by letting you eat there. Yesterday, I had the gem salad and shrimp and grits. Salad was meh, not great but not terrible. Everyone's main dishes came quickly except mine. I had folks go ahead and start eating, and after about 25 minutes I asked about my entree. I was told it's coming, no explanation, no apologies, nothing. It arrived 5 minutes later and it was terrible. Grits bad, shrimp extra bad, plus one shrimp that tasted highly suspect (which was the culprit I suspect). A few hours later, intense stomach pain with... the other stuff. You get me. Today I'm feeling a lot better but not 100%. I love the hotel more generally, have stayed there several times and will go back. But I won't be going to the Limewood - there's just too much good food close by plus the cafe downstairs is nice. Claremont/Fairmont, get your act together: you shouldn't have a restaurant this bad in a nice place like yours.

Yelp
The food was good to our expectations. Most of all the service by Alisa our server was excellent. She is quite clear and efficient in presenting to us of the quality of each dishes ; almost like she has fully tasted each dishes. The atmosphere was comfortable creating a wonderful dining experiences. The 4 pieces of bread with butter was excellent giving us a chance to be ready to jump into the main dishes: Bass and burger with French fries. Portion was about right and easy to digest. A little bit of more grease in the bass dish, which was okay. Again, my thanks goes to Alisa our server. Thanks !

Yelp
Beautiful views from table on the outside terrace. Started with a dozen Oysters from the raw bar, followed by Bone Marrow and Roasted Salmon. Menu has changed a bit since, but Limewood is a great choice for dining when in the Berkeley area.

Yelp
Was in town for work and met with some others for dinner one night here. I will say the ambiance of the restaurant is great, a fantastic outside area (inside is very nice too), but what a great view while you dine. Very nice from inside or out in the patio. Service was solid, pretty attentive for our group of 7 people. Tried to order a draft beer but was told that the taps were all broken so no draft beers could be served and it had been broken for a little while. I guess that happens, never seen it before however. My dinner was the fried chicken. Not a star, was pretty dry actually. Others in my group that's also got the chicken had a similar experience. Otherwise the charcuterie for $20 was very small, both the meets and cheeses. Anyway, for the prices, food was pretty unimpressive. In short, a solid place to grab a drink and enjoy the view, but I'd skip the meals.

Yelp
This food is some of the worst hotel restaurant food. Highly disappointed considering this is the Fairmont. I didn't think a place could screw up breakfast but this basic breakfast plate seemed like items that you pick off a college breakfast buffet. The potatoes are dry and cooked a while ago and the eggs don't seem real. They look and taste like those powered egg mixes. I've had better food at more moderate priced hotel buffets. I'd advise not to frequent this restaurant and if you stay at the Fairmont just walk down the street to Rick & Ann's or Fournee Bakery for better food and better prices! Also, tipping amounts on receipt are wrong. They include tax. They should only be based on the subtotal. Do your own math.

Yelp
The slider appetizer is the star of this menu. It's expensive and it's not really an appetizer. It could serve as the main course for four people with a salad on the side for each one. It's like 3 pounds of meat on 4 rolls. But enough about the size of the sliders. I really liked how it tasted. Lots of meaty mushrooms and onions and a little acid to balance it all out. Vinegar? Anyway, it tasted great and was even better when we ate the leftovers the night after!
google avatar

Robert C.

Yelp
The gin and tonic was colorful. That's the best I could say. That didn't make it special. The Berkeley Smash Burger actually tasted good. It had a double patty. It had bacon jam, pickled tomato, mustard aioli and cheddar. The fries were good too. Is it $27 good ? You be the judge. The best thing was the ambiance. We had a table for eight right next to the window. It was a beautiful setting. I did partake in a chicken wing appetizer which wasn't impressive. There was another appetizer that had prosciutto and what looked like mortadella which I had very little of but was alright. Pretty interior overall. I don't care for the prices. Maybe if they offered a superior product that would be a different story. 3 1/2 stars.

Yelp
Service is typically good. Views are unbeatable. Food can be hit or miss depending on who's working what station in the kitchen.

Yelp
Food - 5 Service - 5 Ambiance - 5 The duck hash with a Aperol Spritzer with the perfect brunch combo for that early afternoon. Great view of the bay in one of the most iconic hotels in the East Bay.

Yelp
The place is ritzy and has a great view, however a night view wasn't there... just too cloudy and fog was rolling in. I bet the view is spectacular on a full moon or on a sunny day! The food is very tasty and each dish was a delight to my tastebuds! I didn't leave hungry and I didn't have to get a Togo container... love the portions! Our server was very content throughout the entire meal! I just love when people don't make me feel like a dork for not ordering like a rich person! I was on a budget and she still paid attention to me and my guest!! We even were offered a blanket as the wind picked up! Restrooms are down the hallway, so plan a break immediately! Very clean! The parking is validated and large parking lot!

Yelp
We came here for a relaxing spa day. We actually ended up having brunch as well. The view was amazing on a clear day. I really enjoyed the breakfast that they served. We actually went off to get a spa afterwards and it was phenomenal. I will definitely be back. Thank you for having us.

Yelp
We made a reservation for 6:15 so we could have dinner with a sunset view. They sat is quickly and gave us a huge booth for just us two. Immediately, I could tell this was a busy time. Everyone was a little frantic. Our server was present but seemed overwhelmed with the amount of tables, totally not her fault, I think a lot of people had birthdays to celebrate. We started our meal with the house rolls and oh my, we will come back JUST FOR ROLLS! They had bone marrow butter and they were delicious! I got the Calaverita for the drink and my husband got the 7th floor cocktail. Both were good but we wished they were a little stronger. We waited quite a while for the rolls and then our food came shortly after. For our entries, my husband got the duck breast with dirty rice and I got the 1/2 fried chicken with sweet potatoes and brussel sprouts. We were both very happy with our meals. The duck had random spinach we weren't sure was supposed to be eaten or was garnish, it wasn't dressed. The atmosphere was nice, we did kind of see the sunset. It would've been better if we were outside but it was kind of chilly. It was very noisy and hard to hear my husband so don't come here to catch up. We will be back for the rolls! Oh and remember to ask them to validate parking if you're not staying there!

Yelp
Definitely come here for the view and the ambiance. Other than that, dining at Limewood is a little too overpriced for the portion sizes and taste. Came here for a friend's brunch birthday celebration. The outside terrace was so cute, with a nice view overlooking Berkeley and some tennis courts. Although the ambiance was great and our server was really sweet, the food was disappointing. I ordered the Smoked Salmon Scramble, which pretty much just tasted like salt. The smoked salmon was sitting in a little pool of oil, which wasn't very appetizing. For my friend's 21st, she ordered the Super Bloom drink which was extremely strong, not sweet at all. They gave us a complimentary cake, which was really kind! However, it tasted like it was defrosted. The cake was dry and not very flavorful. Overall, a bit of a disappointing experience, though memories made were on point :)
google avatar

Yelp
My family member was staying here and I met them for brunch. I am vegan and there was not a real option for a meal. I had a side of dry bread with unseasoned avocado on separate plates. The gem salad indicates vegan option. The vegan option was dry lettuce with a few croutons, they don't have vegan salad dressing. I was unimpressed by the food and service.

Yelp
The host her name starts with and L! I apologize but she was AMAZING! We came in prep to a concert outing all girls night Missed reservations due to timing. She gave us options We waited 15m and she got us a table! Thank you for making our night and some of my groups first experience here wonderful and magical! Waiter was friendly and accommodating! As was Valet.

Yelp
Not impressed Boring menu Many empty seats outside but they're mostly reserved Mediocre food for the price I like the old place better
google avatar

Sharon A.

Yelp
Overall great experience. I met with some friends on a Saturday afternoon for brunch, we had a 1pm reservation, and brunch ends t 2pm so we had just enough time. Right off the bat, the ambience and whole vibe was magnetic. Even though it was a rainy Saturday, it was still elegant and wonderful. I enjoyed being there. Now onto the food! I did notice that there were four different servers who introduced themselves and told us they would be serving us today, so it was a bit confusing to know who to flag down. I ordered the chicken waffle pancakes for brunch with a mimosa a friend had the signature breakfast while another friend had the burger. The food was yummy, but nothing extraordinary. We felt that the drinks had more to offer in terms of enjoyment and presentation.
google avatar

Young B.

Yelp
Very limited service 2-4pm. We didn't know this and went to enjoy some drinks and snacks. If there is an open seat, you can take it but there is no seat service until the restaurant opens back up at 4pm. There was also no service on the patio (at least when we were there, on a Saturday) but you can take your items out there on your own. It was a bit chilly for us. Luckily we asked a couple of ladies if we could share their table with us and use the seats that they had their purses on and they happily agreed. It was packed otherwise. Our waitress was really on top of service, checked in on us often. Strangely, the cheese plate arrived at the end instead of at the start. But everything was really good. The "sliders" need an explanation not contained on the menu. It's really a giant burger that's cut into 4 slider sized pieces. I had no idea when we ordered it.

Stacy P.

Yelp
Food was delicious- he needs a raise . Our server Mario was amazing. He was so nice, we took up his table for a while cause we liked him so much. It's a perfect date night spot.

Yelp
Dined here again after meeting up with a relative who was staying at the hotel. Much better experience! Service was prompt and attentive but not overwhelming. Ordered a bottle of wine and a few starters and a dessert for a total of 168. Not too bad. Nice views, safe and relaxing environment. Parking was reasonable and the food tasted good! Will return again.

Rand M.

Yelp
Wow, this was super disappointing. And way overpriced, from the wine to the dreadfully boring side dishes (potatoes, mushrooms, basically cooked in a microwave). I got the fried chicken; the skin was super sweeet and soggy, and the chicken was dry. The accompanying brussels sprouts were also oversweetened and here and there burned. The menu selections were slim. Was hoping to get some beef and was willing to pay for the privilege, but, hey, not those absurd prices. There seemed to be little strategy to the offerings, except to gouge the customer in every way imaginable. Two stars for the nice service and the ambience and location. Probably a nice place to go the get cheese and crackers and a glass of wine on a day when you can sit out on the porch. Otherwise, give this place a very wide miss.
google avatar

M L.

Yelp
Nice space, mediocre service, uninspired and underperforming menu. Squash tartine was excellent. Tofu was mediocre at best. Sea bass was good but tiny. Frisée salad was like eating air. It's a shame because the opportunity exists here for an excellent restaurant.
google avatar

Yalda B.

Yelp
I am so sad to have to write a bad review! My husband and I went to celebrate our anniversary here and had such high hopes which turned into a huge disappointment. The menu was average with insane prices. We were seated on the patio which was lovely but rather cold. The heating lamps seemed to be just for decoration. Our waiter seemed to forget about our oyster order and came to the table asking us "you guys ordered something, no?" We wanted to ask to move inside but couldn't find our waiter to ask. We ended up self seating ourselves at the bar. The burger was good but the sea bass came out cold :( I will say that the cocktails were delightful. One full star for that. For their prices, I expected a warm meal and better service. Sadly, will not be returning.
google avatar

Emily F.

Yelp
Ambience and view are both good, but I think I'd stick to cocktails on the terrace on a nice day. The menu was lacking and very expensive for lunch. The salad protein add-ons made a salad cost over $40! We were all very disappointed and won't be back unfortunately. A very uneventful menu.
google avatar

Keith P.

Yelp
Nice space in a beautiful, historic hotel. Drinks and apps were decent. Service was mediocre (and seemed generally confused about how to do their job). The main courses were just inedible. I've never sent anything back at a restaurant in my life, but the $100+ (total cost) lamb and fried chicken were just too bad to accept. The staff and manager were nice enough to take the entrees back and refund us for them, as well as offer any additional steps they could take. We opted leave and find dinner at another nearby spot... which was excellent and less expensive. I would recommend if you're looking cocktails and apps in a cool outdoor space with a view, but definitely recommend skipping dinner. Though, people seemed to be enjoying their smash burgers so maybe that's good?

Yelp
I have to be honest and say that I came here to meet my sister and have lunch with her. I was underwhelmed. I ordered a salad with chicken and it was supposed to have some Mexican flavor with chiles, corn, cheese, etc. However, the processed cheese on it was not good and something I didn't expect from a restaurant in the Claremont. They did take off the cornbread croutons. The salad was fine, but the best part of the meal was the sparkling wine and the conversation with my sister. So this is a one-two star review. But they have three stars because the woman who worked there was a wonderful hostess and she really took care of us. I just wish that she was able to give me better food.I don't know that I'd be willing to get a meal here again. I'd rather go to Rick and Ann's and find something edible.
google avatar

Laurie T.

Yelp
The view from the patio is tops. Service is friendly and quick. We ate here a couple of times because we were at the hotel. Food was always good to excellent.
google avatar

Manya Z.

Yelp
Would only recommend this restaurant for ambience rather than food. The restaurant had a cute indoor and outdoor terrace area great for photos/view of the bay. Placed inside the Claremont club, it's expected to be expensive, but for the quality and taste, it's not quite worth the cost. I went with a large group for brunch and service was great but here's review for items tried: Smoked salmon soft scramble (4/5): not a great portion size and bread just tasted like toasted store bought brioche, but amount of salmon in it was generous and the crème fraiche added gave it a very creamy unique flavor Elderflower cocktail (2/5): tasted like diluted vodka, was very pretty but not at all worth Omelette (2/5): mushrooms and eggs were fine but came with nothing else except the filling of a weird watery cheese sauce that did not pair well at all
google avatar

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant with a great view! However, the service is lacking and the food although beautiful, is not tasty. We got the Berkeley Smash burger and the ravioli. The burger was pretty salty and the ravioli was not very tasty at all. The cherry galette with a scoop of ice cream was delicious! They also seemed to be very busy with very few staff. It was odd to see so few servers on a Saturday night.

Yelp
This just happens to be one of my favorite spots so I've come two weeks in a row with Family both weeks. I personally enjoyed the fish both weeks the Corvino 1st and the second week the Branzino! I also enjoy the grilled salad and I found it to be absolutely delicious as well. My wife enjoyed the half fried chicken both times served with potatoes and brussels sprouts, the rockfish appetizer is also pretty good with both a savory and a spicy hot sauce. There is also a nice drink called a Bista! The service is excellent and the view of the bay at night is epic! It is of note that I kept eyeing my sons Smash Burger! Perhaps next time. I have also really enjoyed the breakfast as well!

Yelp
Had a fun brunch here. It was pretty good. Nothing to write home about on the plate, but the view is rare. A few of us had the Laurel Eggs. An unusual treatment of poached eggs. They were bathed in tomato sauce. A little bit reminiscent of shakshuka. But in this case, harissa replaced the chilis and oil. It came with toasted sourdough, which was very good but not exceptional. Still, a good vehicle for sopping up the sauce! The dish comes with a spoon, so tells you the extent to which it's almost a tomato soup/sauce with eggs on top. As I mentioned, the highlight is that the food comes with a view. A couple of groups were celebrating special occasions. It's a nice place for a birthday. You could dress up or go casual. We dined inside. A renovation happened a little while ago but still feels like an upgrade compared to the previous establishment. Outside appears to a nice option too. You can watch people playing tennis at the club below or gaze out at the distant hills across the bay. I'd come back. But it won't likely be in my heavy rotation. Keep it in mind for your visitors and tourists! The service was very good. Kind, caring and attentive. The service kicks it up to 3.5 stars. But in our super-completive food locale, it's tough to go to a 4, especially with the prices.

Yelp
The kids decided they are too old for Santa's breakfast BUT still wanted a nice Xmas brunch.... We opted for @limewoodbarandrestaurant Great views! Great food! After some issues with seating, we had an excellent server. We enjoyed the pancakes with pears, the fried chicken and pancakes with candied bacon, shrimp and sweet potato grits, salmon tartare, and soft scrambled eggs with smoked salmon (my fav!). The food was the star of the show!

Yelp
Had the most fantastic staycation before a concert. The food, staff, and service is lovely.

Yelp
I've been a patron from their opening day and I enjoy it every time. The food is phenomenal and the ambiance with the view is perfect both indoors and outdoors. Only one bad experience when I ordered two mussels dish and the waitress assumed it was too expensive for my daughter and I to have our own plate; brought one plate for us to share so, we left. Because, by the time another plate would have been made, hers would be cold and we are accustomed to eating all together as a family. Other than this one little hiccup; I really enjoy everything about this restaurant and haven't stopped coming to eat here for our casual as well as special occasions.

Yelp
Location is everything here... like many restaurants, they bank on their view and history and not so much quality of food and service I've never been served the staple plate of eggs, bacon/sausage and potatoes and had to order the bread as an additional side dish. The pancakes were soggy and basic with fruit that should have been trashed and not served to customers. I will give them a 5 star for their cheese, mushroom omelet, prepared well and tasty! Servers were all friendly and kind, but obviously poorly trained and lacked management. The right hand did not know what the left hand was up to!

Yelp
Just had an amazing dinner at Limewood with my husband. We had a perfect table with a view. The cocktails was just what we needed. We couldn't decide on what we wanted so we got a variety of things and they did not disappoint! The steak sliders are a must! The fried chicken was so crispy and flavorful, and the Wagyu Filet was perfection. We did find room for crème brulee, and I'm glad we did! The service was attentive and friendly and the sunset on the way out just was the topping on the cake! Highly recommend this place.
