Limoges Cellars - Vineyard, Farm & Winery

Such an amazing experience at this winery! My boyfriend and I booked the wine hike tour and loved getting to meet Daniel the Owner and learned all about harvest and winemaking. He was so friendly and knowledgeable. It was truly inspiring! All of the ones were beyond wonderful And I will definitely be back! The views are the best that I saw in the area and the building is very well thought out and decor is top-notch thank you Danielle and your family for having us we look forward to seeing you the next time!

This was a great winery. They have a really nice tasting and the place is beautiful! The wine selection is great, we took a few bottles home because they were great. The server was very nice and very friendly and knowledgeable.

We can’t thank Daniel Limoges enough for the wonderful experience. We were a small group that drove 8 hours to visit Helen, GA. When we arrived, it was almost a ghost town due to an ice storm warning. We called Limoges Cellars to ask if they were open since we still wanted to do something nice, and the owner said, “Get up here—I’ll wait for you,” even though he was about to close because of the weather. When we arrived, the owner was waiting for us and gave us one of the best experiences I’ve ever had at a vineyard—or any business, for that matter. The cold cuts, cheese, and chocolate were excellent, and most importantly, the wine and sangria were absolutely worth the trip and truly made our day. We are definitely looking forward to returning during peak season to experience the vineyard in full bloom. Thank you Daniel!

I have been here twice!!!! So beautiful and perfect, even in the winter months. It’s now my favorite of all the wineries!!! Their sparkling wines are the best! They have a red sparkling which I love!!! Will be bringing family and friends here when they come to visit! They even have beer for the non wine drinkers and sodas for the kiddos!

At just three years young, this is relative newcomer to NGA wine tour. Lovely facility with more ladies rooms than I’ve ever seen at a winery. Knowledgeable staff. Tasting on the porch has beautiful view of vineyards and mountains though we really hot despite fans. Chose to sit under the umbrellas instead for breeze. This vineyard is planted perpendicular to the tasting room which creates unique view of vines with mountains in background. Really nice estate wines and loved that they had sparkling options. 8 glass tasting is extensive. Host allowed us to vary a bit for our taste which was as nice.

The place itself was nice and the wine was good — nothing mind-blowing, but enjoyable. They also had a good variety of pairings, which we liked. Unfortunately, we had a pretty unpleasant moment. We arrived after a long drive, and our friend went to the restroom right away. Even though there was no one waiting behind us, the lady there kept rushing us. When we said we were waiting for our friend to begin our order, she seemed annoyed. And when our friend came back, she made a comment like, “If everyone’s here, we can start,” in a really unfriendly tone. It just didn’t feel welcoming at all. With so many other wineries around, we definitely wouldn’t choose this place again.

Beautiful location. Unpaved and narrow road getting there but once there, beautiful scenery and the wine is delicious. Sold by the glass and wine.

If you like dry french style wines this is a great place. The staff was wonderful and explained all of the wines in detail. The views are great as well.

My friends and I went to North GA to do some wine tastings and suggested we stop at Limoges Cellars for a tasting. This winery is about five years old and is owned by a couple who wanted to get into the winery business. The wine tasting room is gorgeous with nice high ceilings and a wine bar that extends the entire room. We decided to go with the wine tasting flight of 8 different wines. The bonus is you can bring in outside food to the winery to snack on while you enjoy your wine. The wines were very good overall, and my favorite was the Blanc de Pommes which is a sparkling wine. The Petite Verdot and the Three Graces were also very nice red wines. The Binous is a nice sparking rose wine as well. The winery has a beautiful view of the North GA mountains along with the vineyard itself. Limoges Cellars is pretty new in North Georgia, but definitely has a lasting impact on their wine and location. I ended up purchasing a bottle of the Blanc de Pommes because it was so good and peaked my interest right away. I enjoyed this winery and its ambiance and would definitely come back here for a wine tasting if I am back in GA for a visit. It is a wonderful experience and people should take advantage of this winery and its tastings.

If I could live here I totally would! This vineyard is beautiful beyond words. The wine is incredible - a variety of sparkling, white and red. The staff is really friendly and knowledgeable. The bathrooms are clean and they have lots of merch to purchase as well as cheese for snacking!

Georgia has become a different place. It's tough to pinpoint the moment when people in the countryside started appreciating finer wines or when the industry spread beyond buying grapes from California. Limoges cellars opened only a year ago and is already making some excellent wines. The Vidal Blanc and sparkling red 100% Georgia grown Chambourcin were the true highlights in the tasting. Albariño is a close third. I'd score all of these wines over 90 points and their ability to highlight Georgia's climate is unparalleled. The wine is presented in beautiful Stolzle crystal glass. Perhaps where Limoges separates itself is not even the wine. The girl from Washington state working the tasting room was incredibly knowledgeable and very attentive. The passion for wine was clear in the pleasant conversation. The design of the winery is incredible. While the building itself may not be an architectural masterpiece and should be much nicer given the price point of the wine, its placement is very well planned by putting the parking lot in the back and keeping the porch open to a panoramic vineyard and mountain views. The only issue is that sparkling wines here are covered with crown caps, which upon getting home with a couple bottles, both exploded. Terrible idea and the winery does need to use standard corks and cages, there is a reason those are used everywhere in the world. Limoges sets the bar high for the state and coming here is an immersive experience into what's possible in Georgia viticulture.

View of the mountains and vineyard are amazing! Best wine flight option in the area, as you can taste all they offer in 1 flight! Several wines are very good. Fast service even when busy. Recommend coming here for the view!

Super friendly folks. We first came here over a year ago--also enjoyed it very much both times. Beautiful views, awesome wine, nice facility--just can't beat this place.

This winery is amazing! Loved so many of their wines - we bought a few to bring home! The views are so pretty and the overall ambience is great! We brought several of our friends in our 35' RV. We made it pretty easily up the drive.

The ambiance of this winery is amazing! Definitely giving grown and sophisticated. The owner is extremely knowledgeable and approachable. This is actually my second time visiting and the Cabernet Franc is my favorite. I love that the vines are literally a stones throw away. I'll definitely be back!!

We got the sangria and it was average. They didn't have a great selection of reds either. The barn itself smelled very strong of horse and hay and really put us off the wine. But the music was great and the bartender was sweet

First of all, the setting is quite nice, with very spacious outdoor seating and nice scenic views. Inside is very nice as well. However; I thought the wine, while a nice variety, was just OK. The favorites were Blanc de Pommes, the Cab Franc and Three Graces. The rest did not appeal to my palate with the Emilia being hard to drink.

Limoges has quite a lovely little selection of red's and whites and a few sparkling. They also have refreshing red & white Sangrias. In addition, they offer a hot Glühwein. They also offer a few mixted drinks and beers. There is a very small selection of gifts, clothing etc. Because it is 40* outside, we stayed indoors and looked over the extensive Vineyard. I will say the fireproof was VERY tempting, as was the seating area they had set up to watch the football game. Great way to spend the day after Thanksgiving!

Staff was very friendly. Nice atmosphere, we sat outside with great views. There is a tasting or by the glass or bottle. I had the white sangria. Refreshing for the afternoon.

A smaller vineyard. The main building is very cozy and a great spot to sit inside in a rainy day (like the day I came) and just enjoy some wine and catch up with friends. Paul and Daniel were very kind and helpful. I didn't see the view because of how foggy and rainy it was. There seems to be plenty of seating outside as well.

This is my new favorite NoGA winery! Tucked away from the hubbub that can be the Dahlonega wine corridor, this gem offers a quieter experience with a stunning view, excellent wine, and friendly proprietors that go out of their way to take care of their guests. The venue has a tasting room, a partially covered patio/porch, and lots of outdoor seating, catering to groups of various sizes. My group of five pulled a couple tables together and felt very at ease for the afternoon. The wine itself is phenomenal. Their offerings are unique (several varieties I've never heard of before visiting) but not fussy or frilly. The flavor profiles are clean and complex in the best way. It's clear that these folks know what they're doing, and I can't wait to see what they do next!

There's a lot of glowing five star reviews up here, and this will be yet another. The wife is a huge fan of dry wines, which can be hard to come by in most East coast wineries. It seems like Limoges specializes in them. I've never seen her go through a flight of wine (1 sparkling, 3 white, 2 reds, and a rose) and like almost all of them. She was quite partial to the Blanc de Pommes (sparkling apple wine) and the Femme Salee. I on the other hand was more partial to the reds. I'm not much of a wine guy, but that Petit Verdot really stuck with me. I might actually be able to drink that on purpose and enjoy it, which is high praise from my typical wine hating palette. The location itself is very nice. Relaxed, with a great outdoor space. I believe I spied an upstairs event area as well. I think it was the owners who were our hosts for the evening. Lots of wine knowledge, super helpful, and aside from making top notch vino, they were great hosts! Will be back every time we're in the Helen area.

We always love a great wine tasting when we have the chance and Limoges Cellars was the perfect place. Back through the country roads, on a gravel winding path leads you to a very relaxing, picturesque and serene vineyard. We just had lunch before arriving but would definitely pack a lunch next time and enjoy it at the table overlooking the gorgeous vines with a glass of wine. There is no food served here but there are snacks / cheese / crackers available. The wine flight was a perfect sampler for us and we both agreed on a bottle of red to take with us. The prices were very reasonable for both the flight and the bottle of wine. Service at the counter was very friendly, the lady was helpful and patient with all our questions. We definitely recommend a stop here if in the area. Enjoy!

So happy to find this little gem of a small business. Driving in there are gorgeous views with an absolutely beautiful building. The man behind the bar was so informative and very welcoming. He walked us through their menu and answered all of our questions. They also have beer for those who don't like wine. Do yourself a favor and stop in and have their flight it's fanatic. Will definitely be getting some bottles to go home with.

This is one of the prettiest vineyards I've ever been to! It has a great view overlooking the mountains with plenty of outdoor seating & fire pits to enjoy. The inside of the barn is beautiful and designed so well. But the best thing is their wine is amazing! Every kind we tried was great, they even have different kinds that we've never heard of and they were so good. The staff is friendly and helpful with any questions and will offer a taster just incase you are indecisive.

This vineyard opened up two months ago and they currently offer 5 different wines and a white and red sangria, all of which they make themselves. The owners, Daniel and Kristina Limoges are very welcoming and the tasting room is very spacious. We enjoyed hearing about each wine and both my wife and I purchased a tasting that includes 5 one ounce pours for $20. The focus here is on education and the experience of savoring each wine and not how fast they can pour your samples and move on to the next customer like some other wineries in the area. We really liked the attention to detail in every part of their operation and plan on making a return visit next time we're in the area.

The view and winery is very relaxing. The infrastructure is spectacular...you will definitely be impressed. They do grow and make their own wines on site which is not always the case. The wines are very good. Food will be available soon..owners and staff very nice. Worth the drive over Blood Mtn or Richard Russell hwy if you are coming from Blairsville etc...especially through Paradise Valley late evening return. Always peaceful and gorgeous sunsets.

The best service and view around! Really impressive knowledge of winemaking and flight tasting option is perfect for an enjoyable afternoon. You will not be disappointed with your visit here!
