Seattle’s New Restaurant Openings - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Green Lake has had a profound lack of xiao long bao, potstickers, and dan dan noodles—until now. Lin Handmade Dumplings is a small sit-down Chinese restaurant that could potentially be your new finish line along the pedestrian loop. " - Kayla Sager Riley

It’s no longer Dan Gui Blossoms but Mount & Bao, another Hunanese chain mixed with buns and dumplings. Everything was okay but quite salty. Not the most authentic Hunan flavor but it does the job. Def didn’t taste as good as the original restaurant in North Lynwood. More affordable than other Chinese restaurants though.

We thought we were going to Lynn’s for dumplings, instead, after a few friendly exchanges with the server, it is another famous Chinese restaurant danhui in Bellevue newly opened at the green lake area. The food is decent however i did suggest the food may be too salty.

Food was okay, but probably not coming back because their competitors have better execution. - it's rather dark and gloomy inside, in part because of the promotional signage covering most of the windows - there was no fresh ginger to go with the dipping sauce - the Xiao long bao wrapper was too thick and doughy, especially at the tops - half the dumplings hardly had any soup in them, and the sizes were inconsistent - the pan fried pork buns were not crispy at all on the bottom, and the dough-to-filling ratio was too high - I enjoyed the chili wontons the most. But the container provided for the leftovers was horrible (as shown in photo), and the chili oil leaked everywhere. - not a word was said to us except when we first entered and they told us to sit anywhere. Ordering and checkout are initiated through their QR ordering system.

I really wanted to give this place 4 stars because I want to support new local businesses, especially in a place like Greenlake, where there is a lot of well-established businesses, but in the end I decided on 3 stars. The flavor of all of the food was delicious - and the staff were kind and attentive. They even gave us two bowls of complimentary delicious sour soup. The issues were the attentiveness of the cooks and dish cleanliness. The soup dumplings were not consistent in size, and half of them barely had any soup in them. The steaming basket for the soup dumplings were quite dirty, and had obviously been used multiple times without being washed - unless their dishwasher isn't working properly. The Xiao Long buns were not buns at all. They came out as dumplings and the front of house said that they are "just different from the picture." What's worse, is a few of them were still quite pink (they contain pork), and I accidentally ate one before inspecting the others. Some of them were fully cooked. I really hoped it would have been a better experience to give 4 or 5 stars, but in truth I do not think I would recommend this place. I'm nervous that I will get sick from the undercooked dumplings.

TL;DR fantastic food with great flavor, atmosphere is also great. Good place to go in groups or for yourself for lunch/dinner. 10/10. The food was phenomenal, first time eating here and this is without a doubt my new favorite restaurant, the spicy Fuchi Assorted Beef was without my favorite dish of them all, it has a strong tasty flavor that I've been looking for and would eat every day if I could. I also got the Chongqing Spicy Noodle and that was also very good with the remaining oil of the Fuchi Assorted Beef poured over it, all of which made extra spicy, this is without a doubt one of my new favorites. The Little Buns With Cream was also surprisingly super good too, the amount of cream that it comes with in a little bowl to dip it in was a bit on the low side so by the time I got to the last 4 or so I had already run out of the cream but was still good. Highly recommend checking this place out.

A great place with a good mix of Asian food. The venue is clean, and the food was well cooked with large servings. Everything we ordered was delicious, would definitely come back.

This is really a 2.5 star for me but hey, rounding up. I always want to love (or at least like) an Asian restaurant, especially Chinese ones but Lin’s was only okay. It’s not the worse I’ve had but I probably won’t be back as the food and the experience was… well, just okay. Pet friendly: N/A I went in the winter and there wasn’t any outdoor area set up Family friendly: Yes Parking: Street parking and underground parking garage shared with the apartment building FOOD: 1. Onion pancake $8.95: 3 Stars – This was some of the thickest onion pancake ever which is good and bad. I love me some carbs and it shows that they made it in house but at the same time, it was thick LOL 2. Garlic green bean $12.99: 3 Stars – These are some of the tastiest green beans but I know its all MSG. Like salty MSG to the point where the rest of the day and the next day my lips were hurting from all of that. 3. Pork and cabbage steamed pot stickers (12 pieces) $14.99: 3 Stars – mmm (not like a good delicious mmmm) it was potstickers that you kind get at a fast food place (i.e. Panda Express). It would probably satisfy your dumpling craving but definitely not my first choice. The plus was the “skirt” was super tasty cause of that MSG lol 4. Vegan mushroom and cabbage steamed pot stickers (12 pieces) $12.99: I love love shiitake mushroom but it was a little too much for a dumpling. There wasn’t the normal spices mixed into the dumpling to balance it out. MENU / RESTAURANT: Very clean and larger than I thought it would be when I walked in. Like most Chinese, its pretty simple almost basic but still inviting. They have a good assortment of dumplings (pot stickers), buns, rice, and noodles so you can always find something. I am a little surprise by the pricing but it’s probably cause it’s the Green Lake area. SERVICE: We were quick to get greeted when entering and having someone stop by with water. The turnaround from mobile app ordering to getting our food was fairly quickly. However, and this is a BIG HOWEVER, if you have multiple people order (i.e. more than 2), there is a chance you might not get your order. We had three to our party and my order (two dishes) apparently never got submitted even though you can see it on the app. We waited about 20 mins after the other food arrive before mentioning this to host/cashier. They investigated but informed us they never got the order… and that was pretty much it. So overall a standard Chinese restaurant LOL

Great new place by Green Lake. Woman owned, always friendly and likes feedback. Food is fresh, delicious and good size servings. I've been a customer of theirs in Bellevue for several years. That restaurant is sichaun style. Give them a try also. If you like hot and spicy food.
