Seattle’s New Restaurant Openings - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Green Lake has had a profound lack of xiao long bao, potstickers, and dan dan noodles—until now. Lin Handmade Dumplings is a small sit-down Chinese restaurant that could potentially be your new finish line along the pedestrian loop. " - Kayla Sager Riley

Food was okay, but probably not coming back because their competitors have better execution. - it's rather dark and gloomy inside, in part because of the promotional signage covering most of the windows - there was no fresh ginger to go with the dipping sauce - the Xiao long bao wrapper was too thick and doughy, especially at the tops - half the dumplings hardly had any soup in them, and the sizes were inconsistent - the pan fried pork buns were not crispy at all on the bottom, and the dough-to-filling ratio was too high - I enjoyed the chili wontons the most. But the container provided for the leftovers was horrible (as shown in photo), and the chili oil leaked everywhere. - not a word was said to us except when we first entered and they told us to sit anywhere. Ordering and checkout are initiated through their QR ordering system.

It’s no longer Dan Gui Blossoms but Mount & Bao, another Hunanese chain mixed with buns and dumplings. Everything was okay but quite salty. Not the most authentic Hunan flavor but it does the job. Def didn’t taste as good as the original restaurant in North Lynwood. More affordable than other Chinese restaurants though.

I really wanted to give this place 4 stars because I want to support new local businesses, especially in a place like Greenlake, where there is a lot of well-established businesses, but in the end I decided on 3 stars. The flavor of all of the food was delicious - and the staff were kind and attentive. They even gave us two bowls of complimentary delicious sour soup. The issues were the attentiveness of the cooks and dish cleanliness. The soup dumplings were not consistent in size, and half of them barely had any soup in them. The steaming basket for the soup dumplings were quite dirty, and had obviously been used multiple times without being washed - unless their dishwasher isn't working properly. The Xiao Long buns were not buns at all. They came out as dumplings and the front of house said that they are "just different from the picture." What's worse, is a few of them were still quite pink (they contain pork), and I accidentally ate one before inspecting the others. Some of them were fully cooked. I really hoped it would have been a better experience to give 4 or 5 stars, but in truth I do not think I would recommend this place. I'm nervous that I will get sick from the undercooked dumplings.

We thought we were going to Lynn’s for dumplings, instead, after a few friendly exchanges with the server, it is another famous Chinese restaurant danhui in Bellevue newly opened at the green lake area. The food is decent however i did suggest the food may be too salty.

Great new place by Green Lake. Woman owned, always friendly and likes feedback. Food is fresh, delicious and good size servings. I've been a customer of theirs in Bellevue for several years. That restaurant is sichaun style. Give them a try also. If you like hot and spicy food.

We were there on Friday before their dinner rush-hour. Soon Their store filled up while we were dined in. I saw they have "reserved" signs, so that try to give them a call ahead if you have a big group or their peak time. They have a QR code for each table so that you can order via your phone. I felt that getting food takes a little longer considering than thei Their food are good. Some of the food was good, but Pan-fried pork bans wedidn't have much taste bans and orange chicken(?) were over-cooked, too crispy, difficult to chew. Green Beans were amazing. A hint of vinegar gave a good accent. Lotus loots were good, too. Some menus are sold out. I like to go back to try.

I’m really against writing a bad review for a local business like this but it’s the worst meal I’ve been served in a restaurant. I have to assume some of the other reviews are fake given the way people sitting next to me felt too. This place has serious issues with food, service and hygiene. Waited like an hour but it’s Saturday night and the reviews were good so no sweat. Then they sat me next to a couple at an unbused table. Again, they’re busy so I’m still optimistic. More than half of the menu was sold out, but ordered pork XLB, Dan Dan noodles and spring rolls. The soup dumplings were fine, but not as good as DTF or Dough Zone. They were also served without a spoon but whatever. Then I got water in a visibly dirty glass and I still tried to chock it up to how busy they were but I was becoming less optimistic. Got the spring rolls, they were burnt to a crisp on the outside and had raw wrapper on the inside, also served without a condiment of any kind. They were virtually inedible. The Dan Dan noodles, usually my favorite dish, were literally inedible. They were thick, unseasoned udon noodles, greasy with oil and topped with hunks of raw garlic. There is no spice or flavor and so much RAW garlic that they taste like Lysol. Even the peanuts on top were so saturated with garlic that my tongue burned. I also asked about 30 minutes in to get the can of Sprite I ordered and it came out with hard, dried black liquid all over the top and I had to stop drinking it. Truly the most repulsive meal I have ever been served. Two hours and $50 later, I have nothing but regret and fear of food contamination. The couple next to me also had issues with their order and said they won’t be back. I’d like to say this is a staffing issue but the cleanliness and the wack noodles feel like things that won’t be cured by more staff.

TL;DR fantastic food with great flavor, atmosphere is also great. Good place to go in groups or for yourself for lunch/dinner. 10/10. The food was phenomenal, first time eating here and this is without a doubt my new favorite restaurant, the spicy Fuchi Assorted Beef was without my favorite dish of them all, it has a strong tasty flavor that I've been looking for and would eat every day if I could. I also got the Chongqing Spicy Noodle and that was also very good with the remaining oil of the Fuchi Assorted Beef poured over it, all of which made extra spicy, this is without a doubt one of my new favorites. The Little Buns With Cream was also surprisingly super good too, the amount of cream that it comes with in a little bowl to dip it in was a bit on the low side so by the time I got to the last 4 or so I had already run out of the cream but was still good. Highly recommend checking this place out.
