I’m really against writing a bad review for a local business like this but it’s the worst meal I’ve been served in a restaurant. I have to assume some of the other reviews are fake given the way people sitting next to me felt too.
This place has serious issues with food, service and hygiene.
Waited like an hour but it’s Saturday night and the reviews were good so no sweat. Then they sat me next to a couple at an unbused table. Again, they’re busy so I’m still optimistic.
More than half of the menu was sold out, but ordered pork XLB, Dan Dan noodles and spring rolls.
The soup dumplings were fine, but not as good as DTF or Dough Zone. They were also served without a spoon but whatever.
Then I got water in a visibly dirty glass and I still tried to chock it up to how busy they were but I was becoming less optimistic.
Got the spring rolls, they were burnt to a crisp on the outside and had raw wrapper on the inside, also served without a condiment of any kind. They were virtually inedible.
The Dan Dan noodles, usually my favorite dish, were literally inedible. They were thick, unseasoned udon noodles, greasy with oil and topped with hunks of raw garlic. There is no spice or flavor and so much RAW garlic that they taste like Lysol. Even the peanuts on top were so saturated with garlic that my tongue burned.
I also asked about 30 minutes in to get the can of Sprite I ordered and it came out with hard, dried black liquid all over the top and I had to stop drinking it.
Truly the most repulsive meal I have ever been served. Two hours and $50 later, I have nothing but regret and fear of food contamination.
The couple next to me also had issues with their order and said they won’t be back.
I’d like to say this is a staffing issue but the cleanliness and the wack noodles feel like things that won’t be cured by more staff.
