Lina Stores South Kensington - Italian Restaurant

I took my kids to Lina Stores to shelter from an unexpected rain shower before heading to the Natural History Museum. It was about 11:45 a.m., and naturally my two little ones (4 and 6) were getting hungry. As we entered, it was absolutely pouring down outside. I asked the chef if we could sit down, since I saw others already seated. He looked at me coldly and simply said, “We don’t start serving food until 12:00.” No suggestion to wait inside or reassurance that someone would help us shortly, just a rather unwelcoming stare. Thankfully, when the waitress came over, the experience turned around. She was warm, friendly, and accommodating, seating us right away and taking our drinks order. It lifted the mood immediately. The food itself was very good. The kids’ pasta bowls were generous, tasty, and came out quickly. By around 1 p.m., the restaurant was completely full, which shows how popular it is. Prices were reasonable too, and overall, it turned into a pleasant experience. I’d definitely consider coming back, the food and service (once seated) were great, but I’d like to see all staff being equally welcoming from the start.

We went here after visiting the museums nearby and were delightfully surprised by the beautiful interior and the superb pasta. My partner and I had the casarecce and linguine with a side of focaccia. The food was even better than the interior design. The restaurant is lively, but it’s still easy to have a conversation inside. I would recommend this restaurant.

We stopped at Lina Stores on a whim, when searching for a late night dinner spot and we were so happy that we did! The service was excellent- professional, precise and fast. We chose the pre-set menu for 2 and added the wine pairing. The food was fresh and rich with flavor. We loved the atmosphere with the retro feel and open kitchen. 10/10!

A legendary place in London serving quality Italian food. They have multiple outlets across the city. I had lunch here after visiting the British museum. I requested for the carbonara without the guanciale. The staff was kind enough to accommodate my request. The pasta was great! I also had the racioli with datterini tomatoes. Exquisite! The food is fresh, delicious and flavour forward. Wonderful experience! Would recommend this place 10/10 times :)

We walked in, without a booking, seated within 5-10min and served very well. The food is outstanding and very reasonably priced. Some of the best pasta I’ve ever tasted, the tuna and prawn staters were very good. The dessert was also very good. We both ate very well for a very reasonable £150. Very good table service.

We had a lovely lunch at Lina Stores with friends after a visit to the Natural History Museum. Fortunately we were able to sit outside, and the staff were very accommodating with our friends’ two-year-old daughter. The pasta was delicious although the portions were relatively small for the price, but that’s London I guess. It certainly wouldn’t stop me returning.

On the way to Albert Hall and came across this beautiful place. Was once an Italian delie and now a lovely restaurant. Very retro unique place. The food was top quality and lovely. A must place to go if your in South Kensington. The staff was very professional and polite.

Amazing pasta and service - Eleni was a fantastic host! Truffle pasta and aubergine Parmesan were must haves. The burrata was so fresh and creamy. Portions are just right - incredible value on top of being such a delicious and memorable meal
