Fantastic location in the old town, very friendly family-run place. Great room, very nice firm bed, excellent aircon. You will be treated with local produce and dishes at breakfast. Right on a busy piazza but still quiet at night. Nice rooftop terrace with fantastic view.

We stayed three nights in early May and had booked both rooms for the four of us so had the whole place to ourselves. Only recently opened, the apartments are in pristine condition, with a very high quality of interior design, fixtures and fittings. The beds in both rooms are very large and very comfortable. The suite has a balcony overlooking the street (mainly pedestrianised with a few vehicles passing) at the front. The best feature, though, is the apartment's situation - the view from the rear terrace, which overlooks the whole of the Sasso Barisano, is simply stunning, by day or night. We spent quite a bit of time up there enjoying the sights and sounds and watching the swallows and kestrels swooping||Breakfast is provided in the form of local breads, focaccia, croissants and coffee etc (although they struggle to provide anything other than espresso!) in a separate room. The owner speaks little English but is very helpful. He has an arrangement with the nearest secure underground car park (about 800 m away) so that parking cost only 12 Euros a day (it may be more in high season of course). The owner met us at the car park and led us on foot to L'incanto||The only downside to being right in the middle of things is the inevitable noise, of course - the effective double glazing kept most of it out, but don't expect to sleep after 8am. For us, though, this was more than compensated for by the quality, location and convenience of the apartment, which really enhanced our enjoyment of this wonderful town||||

Family-run B&B with astounding view of the old town. Only two rooms but plenty of space plus very pleasant common areas, all very attractively refurbished just a couple of years ago. Mom is a sweetheart, and the two sons are very helpful and friendly. "I Sassi" room is best, with old town view right from the bedroom, but even the other room (whose name I forget) has easy access to a marvelous roofdeck. One of the most charming places we've ever stayed.

Paolo and his mother were extremely welcoming and informative. The building has been reconstructed to produce Rooms with clean modern lines. It is an ideally place for the exploration of the old town. Our room overlooked the local piazza from a balcony and we had access to a rooftop terrace overlooking the Sassi areas. Breakfasts were excellent with a wide range of locally produced products to choose from.

First of all - the view is breathtaking. This was the first appartment that really fascinated me in all of its aspects. The interior design is full of well combined ornaments and colors. We couldn't wait for the breakfast to happen and it was really good: full of tasty fruits, traditional sweets, yogurts, bread.....the host's kindness is beyond words. She really puts all her effort and love for the comfort of the guests and it shows.||Thank you and see you next time.||Celeste

We came to Matera for days and I booked our accomodation on Spec ! |The|L’Incanto Luxury Rooms are in a great location right in the centre of the old city. The owners Onofrio and his lovely mother are brilliant ! |Great value for money too ||They could not have been more helpful with suggestions , restaurant and tips.||Views,Breakfast and Spotless Accomodation great !||This is not a hotel with full service so if you need that this may not be for you ! But frankly the service we got from the owners either personally or via watts app was far better than I have had in much more expensive hotels !! ||If coming to Matera as a couple definitely have a look at this place as you won’t be disappointed!

The BEST EXPERIENCE we could have had from a hotel in Matera. The location is just perfect; beside the amazing view, that we knew already from booking, it is easily reachable from CAR PARKING places (the owner of the hotel had booked a parking slot for us in advance and was waiting for us to help with walking to the rooms). One of the highlights of our stay is that we had free espresso machine available 24h and a BEAUTIFUL TERRACE above the rooms, where we could enjoy a coffee, ice cream or wine with the amazing view of Sasso Barisano and the Duomo. Last but not least, the rooms are run by the family owning them, offering the most friendly and hospitable experince we could have imagined. They prepare the BREAKFAST themselves by shopping fresh fruits, pastries, focaccias etc. from local shops every morning. Paolo speaks ENGLISH almost fluently and Marisa is a FRENCH teacher. They were always willing to share their local tips to enhance our visit in that unique place of the Sassi. Grazie mille to both of you!! Arrivederci!!
