Silver Spring Smokehouse Lincoln’s Bar-B-Que Has Closed | Eater DC

"Occupying the same Silver Spring spot as a short-lived predecessor, Lincoln’s Bar-B-Que — a roadhouse-y, Southern-style smokehouse put up by the Restaurant Group as a chain-like venture — shut down permanently on January 3, marking the second closure on that same spot in less than 18 months. Management posted “We are closed for good. Thanks for everything” on the company website after trying to keep up appearances (including a cheery New Year’s greeting on January 1). The restaurant served standard barbecue fare — brisket, pulled pork and ribs — and offered a handful of regionally inspired sauces, including a zesty white (Alabama) and a tangy mustard (Georgia); early public reviews were mixed, citing lackluster service but noting affordable lunch specials, and the Washington Post had mentioned the place for its made-for-Instagram “crazy” shakes rather than the food." - Warren Rojas

The restaurant has undeniable appeal currently. The spot is well-kept and its proprietors are nice, responsive and trustworthy. This restaurant offers fair rates, plenty of food, excellent taste, and helpful staff. Staff care exceeded expectations! You should try this place without delay.

Nice undescript spot that has been around, and raved about, for many years. It was my first time stopping in. I ordered take out and sipped a glass of wine at the bar while waiting. I liked the crowd - women and men, slightly more mature, very friendly, in the restaurant/bar. TVs were tuned to portuguese television - I believe an evening ceremony in the streets of Lisbon. Bar/restaurant service was top notch, and the portuguese red wine was pleasant. Once home - reheating the takeout a very hours later, I was very pleased with the flavor combinations and portion size of the entrees ordered. Next time I want to dine in! I will certainly be back.

The best Brazilian/Portuguese food in the area, the chicken wings are delicious. The best part is the staff, they are attentive and very kind. Lovely place!!

The food is awesome. The staff is super friendly. Only the back is warm but the back can still feel a lil cold during the winter weather. Everything else is great

Always a solid and affordable spot. Chicken, rice and beans, and fried potato slices have been consistent for years. Highly recommended!
