I researched our area for a tasting menu, my favourite way to enjoy dinner out. The Lincoln Inn 7course tasting menu was outstanding. Each plate was beautifully crafted and creative. The food was delicious. Because we don’t drink alcohol we enjoyed the non-alcoholic drink pairings in lieu of the wine parings. I recently visited a Michelin star rated restaurant in San Francisco and the chef at the Lincoln in outdid that menu in spades. I can’t wait to return when we don’t have to drive home in a blizzard. 😋

We had the 7 course wine paired menu. The food was phenomenal and the wine was well matched. My favorite course was the lobster and caviar with a burnt onion ash. The chef is Russian and quite talented and came to the tables following the meal. The owner personally served all the tables and described the dishes and wine pairings. She is knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. They even prepared my husband's dishes gluten free. I was also really impressed with the social distancing measures. There were only 5 couples in the restaurant all wearing masks while not eating. The tables were placed further than 6ft, and windows were open. True fine dining experience and a must do if you are in the area.

Beautiful Inn. Clean rooms, comfortable beds. Welcoming and friendly staff and owner Mara. Breakfast were so tasty and delicious. We will suggest to change a breakfast menu from time to time. It is great of you stay for 2/3days. The whole property is gorgeous. Situated by the river, you can walk to nearby Lincoln bridge or just sit and watch river with beer or wine in hand. There are only 6 rooms so it never gets crowded. We felt great.

Ate in the restaurant - amazing experience. 4 course set menu with choice between 2 main dishes which changes daily. Very accommodating to dietary needs (mention when making reservation). Food was excellent and the whole experience one to remember.

We went to Lincoln Inn for Christmas Night Dinner. The meal was a 7 course meal (menu below) with the wine paring for each course (that was extra). There were only 8 of us for the dinner, but it that, in my opinion was a part of the experience. We got an explanation for each course, where the food from was, the reason the chef made that particular course, etc. It was quite the evening. If ever back in Woodstock, I would definitely go back for another meal! Great job Ladies! Note: we did not stay at the Inn, just had a meal there.

On par with the French Laundry in experience. Celebrated a birthday and met the chef. Wouldnhappily do again.

Wow! Amazing restaurant! What a wonderful culinary adventure! The 7 course dinner was fabulous. The wine pairing makes it even better. The chef was so incredibly meticulous to the diverse flavors of each course. I've been to some of the best restaurants in the world, and this restaurant ranks one of the best. I would come back to Woodstock just to go to this restaurant. All foodies must try this restaurant. You will not be disappointed. Kudos to Mara and Chef Jevgenija Saromova.

Yelp
What a one of a kind experience. We did not stay at the Bed and Breakfast but we did sign up for the 7 course tasting menu and it did not disappoint. The seven courses were unbelievable. 1st course was Spanish Mackerel, Salmon Roe, Beetroots, Pickled pepper drops & Horseradish 2nd course-hand dived scallops, Kanpachi tartare, cauliflower, Fennel &fried capers ( my favorite course) 3rd course-roasted Trumpet mushrooms, Siberian Sea Buckthorn, white sturgeon caviar, Celeriac and King Trumpet Terrine, Iberico Lardoe 4th course-Butternut squash, pear, roasted chestnut, caramelized pepitas, basil, pickled mustard seeds, grapefruit & baby arugula 5th course-japaneses Jidori chicken, smoked potato sauce, Italian truffle & toasted pine nuts 6th course-Kagoshima Wagyu Tenderloin, Foie Gras Au Torchin, parsnip, shiitake mushrooms, carrots and grilled scallions 7th course-dark chocolate strawberry Everything was outstanding! What a meal. The chef and hostess was amazing. You can choose to have a wine pairing if you choose we did not. The dining area was perfect, the lighting and Holiday music was perfect with our most excellent meal.

Yelp
Great dining experience. Every course was better than the last. The attention to detail was fantastic. Hard sell for the wine pairing which we did not do. A must meal for the adventurer.

Yelp
Michelin star food. We could tell that the chef cooked in the Michelin star restaurant. This restaurant is one of the best meals we had in New England besides Oya in Boston. (But half the price of Oya) The chef has no help in the kitchen and there are only 3 servers including Mara the owner. Dinner service starts at 6. All diners were gathered in the bar area for pre dinner drink. Then we were seated. Each course were served at the same with the other tables and Mara would explain what the dish was. It's a very efficient. Food were amazing. The smoked eel and poached fish were our favorites. I love the langoustine best. It was torched and close to raw. Some people may find it too raw if not used to it. The pork belly and octopus were melting in my mouth. The best pork belly I've ever had and I don't typically like pork belly. This one is very lean. The vegetable dish was very complex and added fiber to the meal. I found the wagyu and foie gras dish to be too heavy but my husband loved it. Desert was surprisingly very good. Light chocolate mousse and sorbet. With no pastry chef, the chef is very well rounded to pull together very good dessert. They don't have espresso but their French press coffee was good. The service was very friendly and efficient. Just don't expect a personal service like in a high need restaurant. My only wish was they have high end tea instead of Biglow and offer some petit four. Also would have been a nice touch to offer a small bag of chef home made granola as a to go bag at the end. Oh well, I always wanted more! I'll definitely return!

Yelp
What a lovely farm to table and cute little inn! We had a lovely tasting with the 7 course meal. The use of ingredients were quite creative, and the owner was so sweet and delightful. Food was delicious and I was very grateful they could accommodate for gluten-free. The most memorable items were probably the foie gras, langoustine, and wagyu. Unfortunately the dessert was not gluten-free but the hubs said it was incredible and didn't mind having two. It was a quaint small restaurant in Woodstock, the town was so ridiculously cute and the settings so idyllic that I definitely made a note of needing to come back soon. This is our first indoor dining since the pandemic began, (to be candid, we thoughts were dining out in tents) to celebrate being fully vaccinated and able to be out and about (safely) again. Definitely a pretty awesome celebration and we look forward to coming back.

Yelp
My husband and I were given a gift certificate as a wedding gift. I was very excited! Their webpage makes it look so beautiful. I have to say when we pulled up I thought, this is it? It just looked run down and it was on a busy road which surprised me. The inside does look better than outside. Very rustic. It was a very generous gift certificate but when all was said and done we spent just as much, actually more, for our weekend getaway which came in at well over $1,000! When you are spending close to $300 a night I would expect to at least have unlimited coffee and water. But no, there were two bottles of water and two pods of coffee. Two creamers and some sugar. IF we wanted more we had to pay for it. Seriously? Coffee should be unlimited as should water. There were also signs all over come to the bar, relax with a glass of wine...it was closed more often than it was open. I have NO clue what the drink prices were but by my bill (which was NOT itemized) they had to have been over $15 a drink. We signed up for the 7 course dinner ($145. 00 pp) with wine pairing for an additional $100.00 pp. Were the meals prepared beautifully? Indeed they were. They were delicious too. I knew the portions would be small. The wagu beef that was "flown in the night before" from Japan, which I highly doubt, was a bite. Seriously....a bite. It was good though. Was dinner expensive? Yes...yes it was but I knew that going into it and figured, hey how often am I going to get a chance to experience this kind of cuisine? I was okay with that. The wine pairing though? For $100 I would say we probably got a glass and a half of wine...maybe two. That's $50 for a "glass" of wine. I would definitely NOT recommend doing the wine pairing. So not worth it. They truly give you about 2 ounces in your glass! The wine was just ok. Last glass was great though. There's a lovely river behind the Inn with a patio with strung lights. We went to swing on a swing back near the river, but oh wait, it's broken. Perhaps they should take some of their income and do some repairs around the house. It needs a fresh coat of paint. Straighten the lamp post at least.

Yelp
The seven course meal was one of the hightlights of our trip to Vermont. There just aren't words to describe the delights created by Chef Jevgenija. They were tastey and artfully presented. The atmosphere of the Inn was elegant, yet cozy. Just perfect for our fall trip. If you are going to try this, I highly recommend including the wine pairing with the meal to enhance the whole experience. If you are ever in the Woodstock area, you won't want to miss this!

Yelp
My wife and I had the seven-course chef tasting dinner at the Lincoln Inn Restaurant in Woodstock during my first trip to Vermont. We have experienced chef tasting menus at many restaurants around the world, and this was one of the best. Chef Jevgenija Saromova is a culinary artist, and partner Mara Mehlman selected the perfect wine pairings for each dish. The courses were delicious and exquisitely prepared. I was not expecting this level of gourmet dining on the outskirts of a small Vermont town. Thank you Jevgenija and Mara for a wonderful dining experience.

Yelp
Having dined all over the world from food trucks to three star Michelin restaurants on four continents, the Lincoln Inn was the single worst experience we have ever had. The online promotion and descriptions were world-class and the experience was third-world. From the moment of arrival, it was clear the place was a sham. Cobwebs over the bar, very limited bar and the owner pushing a couple of cheap wines by the glass as if they were from Provence and rated in the 90s. She was rude, not knowledgeable, and clearly acting inconvenienced. The place was clearly rundown, unkempt and questionable in every aspect. The so-called "best in America," six course meal was truly pretentious, meager and just plain gross in description, presentation and taste. The owner announced every dish as if she were Julia Child reincarnate and we were mere peasants fortunate enough to spend $400 on a meal the local goats would have rejected. Other diners were bewildered by the odd menu items which worked overtime to sound high-end Paris, but indeed were inedible by any standard. We decided, very early in this developing farce to leave. We thought it better for both our mental and physical health. So, if you are tempted, read this review again, save the money you would have spent and have two fine dinners in local restaurants that are clean, welcoming and featuring great food and drink. There oughta be a law....

Yelp
A dining experience of Michelin quality. Chef Saromova combines the exquisite flavors in her preparations so as to release every bite a smooth transition on the palate never dominating your last bite. Dark chocolate Delice with Pomegranate & Orange Sorbet pairing was a magnificent end to the exceptional meal. Thanks Mara & Jen

Yelp
My husband and I enjoyed an incredible seven course meal here with wine pairings last week. It was a beyond incredible dining experience- the food was highly innovative, delicious, and enhanced even more by the local produce that was expertly selected. We were visiting from New York City and this meal as well as the service and ambiance rivals the best Michelin starred experiences we have had in the city. We are already planning a return trip so we can relive this amazing culinary experience. We loved the recently constructed dining gazebos which already have built in heaters for the coming colder months and felt very safe during these Covid times. I can't wait to return and HIGHLY recommend making a trip to this very special spot.

Yelp
I cannot speak to the restaurant; only the hotel and owner. From what we hear the restaurant is lovely. I hope so. The hotel is dingy, worn and tired, as are the rooms. Also the rooms are expensive, and the proprietor is utterly unhelpful, disinterested and borderline rude. I have been coming to the area for decades and this was the first time I was happy to leave and return home.

Yelp
The place was small but well maintained and very clean. About 30 minutes from Killington. I hear the dinner there is incredible but be sure to reserve well in advance. Breakfast is from 830-930 and is supposed to be really good, too, but we were up too early to get to Killington to have it. What happened on our second day was absolutely appalling. The second day there, our room wasn't made up. I was told "it was too messy to get to the bed", which in all honesty there were 4-5 articles of clothing on the floor. I asked then if she could bring up more soap and shampoo. When she brought it up, I mentioned the trash wasn't emptied either and she said, "We didn't do those things because the room was such a mess and we thought that's how you like to live." It felt very passive aggressive and judgmental. I was shocked to be treated that way and felt very uncomfortable for our last night there.

Yelp
What an amazing place to eat and stay. After one of the best meals of my life, with fantastic wine pairings, I just had to go upstairs - no need for a designated driver. As a bed and breakfast, the Lincoln Inn was a total success. This was a mother daughters weekend, and we needed a room for 3. However, after we decided to eat a tasting menu at Lincoln Inn, after reading stellar reviews, I took the chance and called the proprieters to see if they had an accommodation for 3, which they did. It was a charming cozy room with a double and a single bed, all with comfortable mattresses. The closet was small but it existed and was sufficient for a weekend's clothes. Bottled water was provided daily and there were chocolate cookies (homemade) to greet us. Again the bathroom was cozy but lots of hot water, Each morning was a full breakfast cooked perfectly by their reknowned chef Jevgenija Saramova. For more info google Lincoln Inn Forbes Larry Olmstead - far more eloquent than I, and spot on in his review. The eggs were perfect no matter how we asked for them to be prepared, poached, fried and scrambled. We could specify exactly which fruit in the fruit bowl and vegetables in the scramble. The menu was simple, locally sourced and perfectly prepared. The seven course tasting menu was anything but simple, sourced worldwide (wagyu beef flown in from Japan etc) although I'm sure much of it was from local farms, beautifully presented, and paired with the unusual wines that complemented each course perfectly. The first course was Langoustine with Caviar, followed by Hamachi Crudo, then a perfect Seared Scallop with Saffron Emulsion and Yuzo Air. I can't really describe how beautiful each course was, accompanied by sauces and garnishes that balanced each dish. After serving Morels with Pistachio and Pineapple, we were served Pigeon Breast and then Wagyu Beef with Escargots. Dessert was a perfect Chocolate Bavarois accompanied by Strawberry Sherbet. I will definitely be going back.

Yelp
We visited over the summer for my birthday from New York City. The stay was amazing. Convenient to all the sites we wanted to see. The 7 course tasting dinner with the wine pairing was the highlight of the weekend. Chef Sarmova's dishes were Michelin quality. Her dishes were creative yet innovative and farm to table. Mara, the owner's, wine pairing presentations complimented each course. The whole staff made you feel so welcome and the daily breakfast was delicious. We would definitely be back again for this amazing culinary experience. Thank you Mara for a great stay.

Yelp
Amazing dining experience! Highly recommend! We loved the transition from the tavern into the dining room. The food was scrumptious. The service was impeccable. The wine was wonderful. The owner was so welcoming and knowledgeable. The chef was charming and humble. We will absolutely be back! Thank you!

Tanya L.

Yelp
I can only describe our dinner experience as odd. And frankly, overpriced. Here's the deal. You're paying as much for the experience as the dinner, which we weren't really clear on going in. The meal is prix fixe (65 per) and you are told to come at 7 for drinks in the tavern. This was lovely and we chatted with a few people, including the owner who has an odd manner, overly friendly and insincere. They have a short cocktail menu with no prices featured. During drinks we were pushed to select our entee and a bottle of wine. I made a comment about the process of opening a bottle and the host rushed to correct my word choice. Simmer down lady. We were moved couple by couple into the dining room, and even though we arrived first we were given last table choice. The host then introduced everyone to the room and explained why we were there. We didn't realize when we were talking to the host she was taking notes. I did not want my medical information announced and was very uncomfortable. The food was quite good, if a bit all over the place. Every dish seemed to have one too many elements and the ingredients probably topped out at $25 per person. Again, we are not penny pinchers (we have spent over 1k on a few meals) the preparation and presentation wasn't quite where it should be for the price. The food - and the whole affair - seemed overwrought and precious. Anyway, we somehow ended up spending over 300 in friggin Vermont for an ok dinner, 40 dollar bottle of wine and a couple of cocktails. The final straw was the owner pushing us to review on TripAdvisor when we left. That was the tackiest, most uncomfortable thing! Anyway, I would not recommend this super awkward experience to anyone. Also, if you check out the weird replies to reviews on TripAdvisor, you'll get an idea of the scene at this place.

JoAnn O.

Yelp
We attended a 7 course prix fixe dinner w/ added wine pairing for two. The food was interesting and eclectic. The owners clearly love what they are doing and are very enthusiastic. What I wish I would have known before spending more than $600 for two of us was that we would be seated at a general table with four other people. While the other couples were nice enough it was far from an intimate or personal experience. The wine pairings were decent but scant. We were charged when we accepted a coffee and tea with dessert and the welcome cocktail, which is almost required as you are told to arrive at 7pm in the summer for a 7:30pm seating. Our feeling at the end was for that much money we would have preferred to be seated privately so we could discuss and savor the food/wine experience and not be forced into a family style seating and conversation. The food was very good, not amazing. Wine was ok. The owners/ chef are passionate and enthusiastic but they are less connected with the experience of their paying patrons than with their own agenda.

Yelp
We brought friends with us on our second visit to The Lincoln Inn December 15, 2016 and it was every bit as good as our first time in November! All 4 of us loved the food and the service was top notch as well. Mara was excellent with her wine recommendations to complement the meal and she is very good at timing things just perfectly. I had the sea bass and my wife had the quail. The presentation was just beautiful....a work of art! More importantly it was delicious. All of the courses were fantastic and every little element was amazing! I am looking forward to going back with our friends for the Valentine"s day dinner which we have already booked! It is a special place for sure.

Kim B.

Yelp
My father and I were spending the weekend in Woodstock. He'd eaten here before and made a reservation for us. He got sick that afternoon after lunch. We called and cancelled our reservation. The staff were nasty and somewhat rude. And charged his credit card, immediately, as in before that night's dinner service, for more than the $65. Had I known the cost I would have never let him make the reservation. He made the reservation over the phone. He had no idea that there was no such thing as canceling the reservation. That there is NO consideration for illness, particularly for a returning customer, is ridiculous. Should I have gone alone? Should he have gone and sat there nauseous and green? Would that have been pleasant for anyone else there? Now that I've read other reviews I'm even more pleased we didn't go. He did not need to sit there, let alone at a community table. If you're concerned about loosing money because you've shopped and cooked for the number of reservations you have, I can only say, call up your waitlist people, have a waitlist, and I find it hard to believe you don't have an ample cushion built into your prices. I certainly will NEVER go here.

Yelp
In Lincoln's day a room meant you slept with strangers in a common room, possibly on a bed. You didn't remove your clothes. The review that says he/she had to look on the parking lot while on the pot seems to have been written by someone who should not be here. We were very happy to be here. Our room #5 was great. The floors creaked and the door needs oiling. So what. Stay somewhere else if you don't want a rustic experience. Yes the wi-fi was lousy. What would Lincoln say about his wi-fi? Ah-then there's the food! Underpriced by metropolitan venues, but a fabulous dinner. If you want a reminder of a lost element of fine dining, namely it's not put all out at once, then there is time between courses when you can actually talk to the people in the other tables. One of them got up and played the piano. The breakfast was very good, no comparison to dinner. I have to say that New England just doesn't appreciate great coffee. As for the management: they are sweet ladies doing their best. If you listen you will see how devoted they are. They are doing their best.

Yelp
I booked the dinner 6 months in advance for my anniversary. We drove up 5 hours from NYC and were so excited to try what we assumed would be wonderful food. Just hours before our reservation, I got a call telling us the dinner was canceled. No apology, just an offer for maybe a reservation Wednesday as a substitute. I am beyond disappointed and now we are hours from home, and have no time to make other reservations. Save yourself the heartache and don't book here.

Matt M.

Yelp
My partner and I had the 4 course dinner last night. It was wonderful. Poached white fish and scallops were amazing. Desert even better. Can't wait to come back to Woodstock just to dine here again.

Krista H.

Yelp
We had a magical experience this past Friday evening sitting at the Chef's table for a 7 course tasting menu + wine pairing. Although we are foodies we really hadn't done anything quite this extravagant and I was a little hesitant given the price and requirement to guarantee the reservation (no cancelations) with a credit card. I'm SOooo glad I did. My high expectations were exceeded. It was totally worth it and one of the highlights of our trip. Every dish was exquisite and the wine pairings were perfect. Each dish was an explosion of flavors, matched by the presentation.

Jennifer L.

Yelp
My husband and I consider ourselves foodies from NYC and this is one of our all-time favorite restaurants!! We try to visit Woodstock, VT a couple of times a year and it's really just an excuse to eat at Lincoln Inn. The pre-cocktail hour sets the stage for a sumptuous dining experience. The food is absolutely delicious and the presentation is superb. Everything they serve is wonderful. It is clear that a lot of thought goes into planning the menu and that they use high quality farm-to-table ingredients. We wish it was closer to NYC so we could eat here more often.

Robin S.

Yelp
The Twilight Zone. Really. You have been warned. Food wasn't horrible, just too much going on (flavors, ingredients- every plate seemed to be raging a war against it's competitors). But it was the service, no prices on the drink menu, the piano playing and singing by the bartender and wait staff during dinner. All very awkward and highly unusual.

Amber D.

Yelp
I was so excited to stay here but it was a let down. The over all experience merited probably a 3 star stay, but the proprietors habit of harassing bad reviewers dropped it down to a 1 star. If it were maybe 110 per night I would return but it is wildly overpriced. The location is noisy (close to the road), not so close to town, and the proprietor lacked the personality typically associated with a B&B owner. Our room was small but had some charm to it. Floors unexpectedly creaky and no sound proofing whatsoever. The bathrooms were dingy and tiny with a window so you could see the parking lot while sitting on the toilet which wasn't ideal. The other set of rooms faced a busy street so the view wasn't so rustic. We envisioned a charming VT retreat with friendly hosts but instead encountered an inn with some untapped potential and a lot of discomfort with the host. The positives- cute library area, stream was a nice view, cool antique furniture. We stayed on a cold night and the room was quite warm, too. The reason for my 1 star? After writing a review on Tripadvisor I was harassed almost relentlessly for over a week by personal message, email and phone. I wrote a bad review and the proprietor insisted I remove it. The crazy part is that since I decided to keep it up, another Tripadvisor contributor messaged me asking how I got my bad review to remain on there. Apparently this lady is in the habit of having sites remove negative reviews in order to bolster the appearance on Tripadvisor, if the reviewer does not succumb to her harassment and do it themselves. The person messaging me has had their reviews removed, and new ones are not posted to the site. Take a look for yourself at the reviews. Any poor ones that remain on there are counterattacked by the proprietor with great harshness. There are so many cute places in Woodstock-steer clear! This place is not with the time, money, awkwardness, or aggravation.

Carol U.

Yelp
Dined there on Saturday evening with friends. It is in an idyllic setting, along a river. They made us feel comfortable from the beginning. Each course was fabulous with a blending of flavors that created a surprise in every bite. Deep flavors and rich textures made every mouthful a delight. The maitre'd and the chef took time for a chat with us after the meal, calling off a perfect experience.

Yelp
We found this hotel on the Internet and it seemed to be just what we were looking for. We wanted the quintessential New England bed-and-breakfast and we were not disappointed. We were greeted by the owner as we drove up and parked. From then on we had five star service in our four star accommodations. The rooms were small, quaint classically appointed while maintaining a 19th-century funkiness. We loved it. This is where I will stay whenever I come back to Woodstock. The hotel grounds were right on the river, and off the main road. The restaurant was unbelievable and I will cover that in another review.

Susan M.

Yelp
Our family of 8 came here to celebrate a graduation, and it was the most relaxing & delicious experience we had. We sat on the scenic back porch with cocktails before being seated at our intimate dining table. The prix fixe menu selections tasted as delicious as they were described. The chef came out at the end of our meal to see if we enjoyed everything, and of course we did.

Sim L.

Yelp
This was a great place to stay! Staff was very nice and the inn was well kept and clean. House/inn built in 1857. Appears to still have original floors and ceilings in parts. Well decorated. Breakfast is included as part of your stay. Nice area by a river to sit and relax, along with an outdoor fire pit. Negatives: decent amount of traffic zipping by on the road, and small staff, thus a bit of a wait when being waited on, but staff very friendly.

George G.

Yelp
I made a reservation for dinner based on the enormously high Trip advisor rating, and because when I lived in West Woodstock in the 1970s, The Lincoln Inn had a very fine reputation. Our evening (11/21/15) started inauspiciously when the owner-proprietor called me on my cell phone at 6:55pm, just as we were leaving the Woodstock Inn which is about 10 minutes from the restaurant. She chastised me for being late. When I pointed out that my information was that cocktails were served from 7pm and seating for dinner was at 7:30. She said i was wrong. However, after I returned home, I reread the email she sent confirming the reservation and she stated plainly: We have a set 4 course gourmet prix fixe menu with a choice of a meat dish or a fish dish and one seating per night starting at 7:00 in the tavern for drinks and at 7:30 we go into the dining room. That is a verbatim quotation from her email. The proprietor is obviously disorganized, and I found her extremely rude. We were whisked (with my watery martini) to the dining room and told we were holding up the other diners. The dining experience does not live up to the price. The food ranged from strange (who serves veloute sauce all by itself as a course?) to good, but not extraordinary. The owner, Mara Mehlman manages to get negative reviews taken down from TA. I don't know how she does it, but I would strongly suggest that the majority of the positive reviews are fake.

Yelp
We were graciously welcomed by Mara, and the setting for dinner was beautiful and elegant. The chef, Jevgenija, prepared a truly outstanding dinner for us. Every single thing we ate in all four courses was stunningly delicious. Literally, we stopped talking sometimes because we were taken aback by how good the food tasted. Too often in our lives, we're gobbling food like it's merely fuel, so it was such a pleasure to have a meal of this caliber. After dinner, we had fun speaking to Mara and Jevgenija who seem like such interesting and nice people. I wish we lived closer so we could come back to the restaurant more often.

Yelp
What a gem of a restaurant for Woodstock! We have dined here twice in the past 2 months and each time we have walked way so impressed by the quality of the meal and the complexity of the cooking. Do not come to Lincoln expecting your typical New England country inn fare. Rather, you should expect exquisitely prepared dishes reflecting the Chef's formal training in a Michelin starred restaurant. The standard 4-course fixed price meal rivals the offerings in the finest New York or London restaurants, but in beautiful surroundings that strip away the artifice and pretense that often is found at those establishments. The wine list is interesting and eclectic, with lesser known but quality growers dominating the more expensive end of the available selections. The meal is gently paced, providing diners with plenty of time for conversation and exploring the offerings. The proprietor Mara provides a delightful narrative on the meal as the evening progresses, and the passion she has for her business is evident. I highly recommend this restaurant for those looking for a special meal in a beautiful setting.
