For a two-night stay at this hotel, I'm happy to say that it was a good experience overall. This isn't an above-and-beyond kind of hotel, but I got a warm and homey welcome from the receptionist--even the maid, who was very polite when she directed us to the door leading to the rooms. The receptionist was also kind enough to walk us to our room when our card keys didn't work (they just needed to be reset was all). The studio-type room we chose is impressive, considering the hotel's exterior looks a bit dated. It seems freshly remodeled with plenty of walking space, two full size beds good for sleeping two people each, a divider separating the beds from the kitchen area, a 40-inch TV on both sides, an induction stovetop, fridge, loveseat, work desk, and ample cabinet storage for food, pots, and pans if you bring any. The room gives a modern minimalistic feel. The bathroom has a spacious tub and a touch-screen mirror, both pretty fancy in my opinion.
However, there is no safe or closet in the room. You will also have to bring your own skin care supplies and hair dryer, as these are not provided. A couple other things: the garage is underground, thankfully out of the heat. And in the hotel room, the walls and doors are not very sound-proof, so do keep this in mind if you stay on the bottom floor and are worried about noisy guests.
My final thoughts: I think this is a great budget-friendly option for those who are looking for a comfortable place to rest after exploring L.A. during the day. It feels like a small apartment, has most of the essentials, and you can make yourself right at home quite well, even if it's only for an overnight stay.
