My mom recently move out to the west side of t-town, and after leaving her new place I decided to take a new way back into Tulsa proper. Usually I go down to 244, and back in that way, since I work up by the airport. Well today decided to take 44, and I’m glad I did. By fate, I missed my on ramp, and took the service road all the way until I hit the warehouse market and dead end, and as I was turning around at the quick trip, this tiny, bright yellow building, that looked like it was straight out of AMERICAN GRAFFITI, caught the corner of my eye. Then the neon hamburgers sign piqued my curiosity, then the name, that beautiful name, LINDA-MAR. Evoking, some far off memory of a, Far away idyllic beach, I had once known…with reckless abandon, I darted across the street, maybe cutting off two other cars, I say maybe because I was so intently focused on the fact that they had a drive though, and needed to keep moving. I pulled up to the speaker, and my jaw dropped to the floorboard, with all the menu options, and as the lady asked what I wanted, I couldn’t help by say, WHERE AM I? And laughed a bit, and told me that they were celebrating their 64th year, and that the chicken could be made in many different ways. And also about the west sider burger. Which I will absolutely get the next time I go here, with my wife. So I made a simple order, cheeseburger, order of chicken, fries and a drink. Easy peasy, pulled around to the window and met the coolest lady, she just had swag for days, Excatly the kind of person you would expect to be working at a old school burger joint, just a kind person, that you could tell, if she knew you, would give you a little sass, and joke around with you, like I could have expected her to call me toots, or some old fashioned nickname, like pal, or kiddo, whatever they would call you back in the day. As I was waiting for the food I was telling her how the jalapeño chicken will be right up my wife’s alley and I that I will order it then, and she came back with a big ass sample for me to try, just out of the blue, and also with the most beautiful fried chicken chunk on a toothpick, saying, here, you will love it. She wasn’t lying. So, I get my food, say Thankyou and go find 44 east… now, I’ll start with the chicken. I do not know who came first, and I’m sure I could google it. But, at 64 years old, rex chicken had to copy this place, because when I opened the container, and saw the chicken, I almost swerved into the median. I WILL CLAIM IT NOW. These are the best chicken bites in Tulsa, period. Not only are they the best in Tulsa, but i literally got 3 lbs of chicken for 7$. 🤯 I was in clucking heaven! So moving on to the burger, and fries. I’ll wrap this up quick. I haven’t eaten at hanks, jumbos, Arnold’s, lot-a-burger, Ron’s, Ty’s. I’ve had webers, Claud’s, and all the smash burger spots. For my money, this is the best burger in Tulsa. It is THE example of what an “old fashion” burger is supposed to be. I wanted to get the onion rings, but forgot to order them, but, the fries, were basically 5 guys fries, only crispier. I will, try the rings the next visit, because I will 100 percent be back. Regularly. Thanks Linda-mar!

Well the wife and I are at it again. And I think this is going to be our last post for 2025. 2026 is going in a more healthier direction, as we both have agreed to cook more at home. I wish everyone could taste our good food. Okay, so the wife said that she wanted to check out Linda-Mar. So that's what we did, and let me tell you the both of us were really impressed by the quality, portions, and temperature of our food. The wife wanted to try Linda's famous Jalapeno chicken. Let me tell you the portion was big, it was hot in both way temperature and a little spicy. The side of ranch that it comes with will definitely help cool these bites down a tad. We both ordered a double cheeseburger, except I ordered mine with bacon. Listen when they brought out our burgers, I was shocked to see the size, and that both of our doubles were hot! Juicy, just the right seasoning (not too much) and the freshness was perfect! And it still proves that a small place can make cheeseburgers better than those fast food chains or even restaurants. I will also add that we both ordered combo's, which comes with fries and a drink. The french fries were hot too. It's small inside, but there is room for at least 24 people to eat inside, or if you choose you can eat outside. This is also one of those places where you can order in the drive-thru and simply eat it in your car. My opinion is, when you have the taste for a burger and a side, come by Linda-Mar Drive in and enjoy like we did. Wife and I enjoyed the atmosphere too. Watching Andy Griffith Show. It was a good date night for us. Don't forget to be patient, she really gets busy. And that's fine with me because everything and everyone compliments one another. Good food, good service, and good prices. You can count on us return later in 2026. Until then... Always be thankful, Always be kind, And always enjoy the moments. Because it will cost more for seconds!

Linda Mar is a no-frills, classic roadside burger shack. A Westside gem. It's as authentic as they come, serving what are likely the same burgers they've been making since 1961. It's a regular stop for my friend and me after mountain biking. While the burgers are a solid choice, the real standout is the Jalapeño Chicken. I couldn't decide, so I got both. It’s worth checking out.

Google
They used to give you bigger portions. My husband went to get me fried mushrooms today and for 5$ they gave us a total of 10…. 10 tiny mushrooms and one was burnt….. im absolutely shocked that we paid .50 per mushroom… for that price I am gonna be making my own at home now. We used to go because of the portion price and sizes and we have both noticed that their portions are getting smaller and smaller…. Now we go maybe every 3 months instead of once a week. I remember when they used to overload the tiny bag and it’d be spilling into the bottom of the brown bag…

After over 15 years of seeing this place almost daily, I’d never once considered stopping in. No idea why it never piqued my curiosity. Recently, though, I started looking at it differently. I've been expanding my burger horizons because my two boys are burger enthusiasts, and we always try to find a good spot. To my surprise, this restaurant has been around for over 50 years! And there were more surprises, but I’ll get to those in a moment. The parking lot was packed, so I ended up in an overflow area—a muddy, empty lot next door. Little did I know things would only get “muddier” inside… As soon as I walked in, I got the “hole-in-the-wall” vibe. The kind of place where things are forgiven simply because it's old and nostalgic, like how we let certain things slide with an elderly relative. At over 50 years old, it seems the rules of hygiene and upkeep just... don’t apply here. Now, call me picky, but a grimy bathroom with minimal sanitation options for employees is where I draw the line. Nostalgia is one thing, but basic cleanliness is non-negotiable! After seeing that, I couldn’t fully enjoy the burger I’d just bought. I kept imagining scenarios where cooks and customers were all cramming into this tiny restroom, practically adjacent to the kitchen. Picture a tight, cramped space where the line between the restroom and the kitchen is far too close for comfort—it’s hard not to let that ruin the meal. I debated whether to even mention this, but you know what? Just because something’s “been there forever” doesn’t mean it gets a free pass on basics like hygiene. And to be honest, the burger was nothing special anyway. It reminded me of something from Sonic. Sure, I paid less here than I would have at Sonic, but it wasn’t anything memorable. Maybe the only “unique” thing about this place is its longevity, but certainly not its flavor. One last note: ease up on the salt in those fries. Mine were loaded. I know this review might get some backlash, but I have standards, and I paid for this meal. I’ve tried it, so I don’t need to go back. This was not meant to disrespect the owners or staff I am just simply reacting to what you put out

There are a lot of good burger joints on the west side of Tulsa. Here is one, the historic, iconic Linda Mar. A bright mustard yellow and ketchup red, painted building; not much bigger than a two-car garage on the outside, with a one car garage sized dining area, on the inside. A classic burger dive. And speaking of cars; the inside walls are covered with pictures and articles of local stock car racers and their cars. If you are old enough to recognize any of the names or faces that you see on the wall, well it is likely that you have already had to have at least one hip replacement. The little lady at the counter is friendly, with a cheerful personality. The burgers and fries are excellent. Hot and fresh. First time ever that I have had to let a hamburger cool a little before I could pick it up to eat. Crispy perfect fries. Put the Linda Mar on your Tulsa burger tour itinerary. Burgers made with quality and taste that will compete with any “Old Fashioned Hamburger” in Tulsa.

Google
This place is a nugget. For $13 you get a large juicy triple burger, fries and well-sized drink. You can't beat that. Easily in my top 5 burger places in Tulsa now, maybe tied for 2nd, and Tulsa has A LOT of competition. Its a little cozy inside, but they have a TV playing old-fashioned programs, and racing paraphernalia scattered about. The lady at the register was sweet, and they treated my veteran friend to a free meal (full disclosure: it was Veterans Day). The burger was gigantic, easily 3/4 lbs worth of meat, maybe 1lb. The bun and patties were hot, which you don't realize is nice until you have one. I'm kicking myself for not taking a photo as proof, but I'm coming again, and next time, I'll try their jalapeno chicken basket.

Google
I love this place when the elderly lady (short gray hair) is working the window, she is a peach and so kind and pleasant. Every time I go there is a line during the lunch hour, which is a good thing as you can tell it has good food, I'm fine with waiting because the lady is so sweet (and I mean busy as 3 cars waiting in front of us for their food and 3 cars behind me in line waiting to place their order).......BUT today I went and experienced a dark hair elderly lady who was so rude at the drive through window, I was shocked and put off, I could absolutely not believe how rude she was, I'll explain. I pull up to the window (remind you not a single car in the drive through no one waiting in front of us or behind us in line) and now I know why, because she was working.. But anyways I pull up she asked be to wait one minute to place my order, I kindly respond " not problem at all, take your time". I order a cheese burger combo and a jalapeno chicken basket. I pull up to the window to pay and the window is wide open, which is ok, I wait 5 minutes for her to come get get money, no problem on the time, but when she comes I ask her for hot sauce, she says we don't have any grabs my card from my hand and slams the window, then when she comes back with my receipt to sign on a clip board, I said "when I come they always give me a small cup of hot sauce", she proceeds to close the window again on me while I'm talking, I sign the receipt while I wait for her to come back to get it and she opens quickly grabs the clipboard, and I said excuse me, and she cracks the window and looks at me with one eye through the crack and I repeated "they normally give me a small cup of hot sauce when I ask for it" and she still looking at me through a one inch crack and looks at me as if she is scared or I'm dumb.. I just cant believe how rude she was.. I will go back but only when the elderly gray haired lady is working, I will be calling ahead before driving that way.. I have never been treated so poorly and I still killed her with kindness, I was so mad I almost cried lol because if you are in customer service you need to do better.. you were not that busy has no one else was in line but a woman who is older than you can run circles around you and be polite while doing it.. If the owner sees this, please please please take her off of your drive through... go read your reviews and I guarantee she is why your customer service ratings are so horrible.

Yelp
Wow. Great food....the owners were onsite. Nostalgic. Or not from Tulsa but it's definitely a place. I'd take the family again.

Yelp
They serve very good chicken with jalapeño peppers and onions. Yum their hamburgers too.

Yelp
When in Rome... If I'm in Tulsa and need to be close to the highway, this is my go to spot! Still great food and quality service. Those folks are so nice over there it sometimes blows me away.

Yelp
Got my food thru the drive thru, westside burger. Double meat and cheese on Texas toast, the burger was good. Also got a side of fried mushrooms, much better than what I have had in the past, from here and a large Cherry limeade, lots of cherry flavor really good.

Yelp
We arrived with no waiting in line. The service was fast and friendly we enjoyed the West side burger, and the kids burgers were great also. They even brought out the kids free ice cream treats that was so nice. The ambience is classic Americana that fits the west side of Tulsa. Will be back for another picnic dinner.

Yelp
we are regulars here, love the Jalapeno Chicken Basket. Service is always quick, love watching Andy Griffith while waiting on food to be served.

Yelp
Recently the Son and I were in town (Tulsa) and decided to make the drive over to Linda Mar and grab a burger for lunch. So glad we did. I've know about Linda Mar since, well, forever because I had family in Oakhurst, and I spent time off and on in that part of town over the years. We both had a double cheeseburger with bacon and fries and we split an order of their jalapeno chicken. The burgers were the real deal. Great crust on the patty, fresh lettuce and tomato, piled so high I thought I might have to unhinge my jaw to get a bite. The chicken was a welcome addition. We wouldn't ordinarily get it in addition to the burgers, but since I don't get out that way hardly ever I wanted to try it while I could. Well cooked and seasoned, the addition of the jalapenos made a great flavor. Staff were all friendly and helpful. The place is small, and divey. Just the kind of place I love.

Yelp
not only are the portions food, the flavor in this food was 10/10. the service was unmatched, unforgettably fast and nice. i'm bringing my parents next time to this cute lil burger joint.

Yelp
Stopped by on our way thru town one Sunday evening. My son ordered a burger and tots. I went with the jalapeño chicken bites. My son rated the burger as a solid 4/5. I was very impressed with the amount of chicken in the chicken dinner. Most places jalepenos chicken is not very hot unless you eat the jalepenos. Every bite of this chicken had some spice to it. We ordered in the drive thru. We did have to wait at the window for awhile, but it was not a bad thing (food was pretty good). I will say I wasn't impressed with their ranch. I wound up mixing it with the bbq sauce. Next time I would just get ketchup. The waitress working the window was friendly. The building was not much to look at and is not in the best part of town. But the food is worth stopping.

Yelp
I just went through the drive through but this place is notorious for its chicken salad as it is featured frequently in the tulsa food reviews fb page- this salad also has onions but of course I nixed those. It also had tomatoes and the cashews were a nice crunchy surprise. They offer ranch and honey mustard - I got both! I will be back so good

Robert C.

Yelp
Never disappoints !!! Cheeseburger and tater tots always hot and good, jalapeño chicken cooked perfect, just hot enough for the taste, not so hot you can't stand it. Andy Griffith show is a plus

Yelp
FOODIE FRIDAY I've driven past it a million times in my life but have never eaten there. So today I decided to swing into Linda-Mar Old Fashioned Burgers for the first time. The place is tiny but does have a few small tables inside. The lady working the register, drive-thru, and phone was very nice even in the midst of the chaos of a truck delivery and multiple customers. I ordered the West-Sider burger which is a double meat-double cheese burger on Texas toast. I give the burger a 10/10! The meat was hot and fresh off the grill with cheese that was melty and Texas toast that was buttery and salty. The patties were the perfect size and juiciness. I also ordered a side of loaded tots. I had no idea what would be on them but pulled the trigger anyway. The tots were loaded with onions, jalapeños, cheese, and........imitation bacon bits?!?! The flavor of them wasn't bad. The tots were crispy and it was a good amount of food, but the imitation bacon bits were a major let down. I give them a 5/10. I was very pleased with the quality and quantity for the price. The double burger, loaded tots, and a drink came out to just over $15 -- a solid deal. I'll go back for the burgers alone. I'm excited to try other sides and the jalapeño chicken. Overall, a score of 9/10 . A must-try burger in West Tulsa. -- at Linda-Mar Drive In.

Yelp
My husband and I love this place. Food is delicious, and there is plenty of it. One of the best burger places I've been to. We brought our 1 year old with us recently. Cori went out of her way to give our baby a small portion of pre-cut up food for her to snack on while we ate. It kept her very busy and she loved it too!

Yelp
Easily one of the top burgers in the Tulsa area. Andy Griffith is always on playing on the tv. Great place I've been going to since I was a kid and now my kids get to enjoy.

Yelp
*** Review is from COVID-19 *** I came here over the summer and noticed the employees were not wearing masks. A few months later though, I saw that their Yelp page said that they do. I figured maybe they'd made some changes in the time since I'd been. However, when I stopped by again over the weekend, there were still no masks being worn. Granted, there only appeared to be one employee at the time (maybe this makes it better, I'm not sure?), but the main thing is that I feel they are falsely advertising that "staff wears masks". It makes me wonder what else they claim that isn't true. I wish they just wouldn't post it if it isn't true.... It's something extremely important for a lot of people right now and I wanted to be sure to get accurate info out there for anyone who specifically seeks this information before visiting a business. On both visits I ordered the jalapeno basket. It comes with spicy popcorn chicken (fried with a few jalapenos), fries, and toast. One thing I really appreciate about the jalapeno chicken here is that the jalapeno flavor is really part of the breading and/or chicken itself, rather than just having fried jalapeno slices in there. I also felt like it wasn't too greasy. The fries also have a nice seasoning, which I'm always a fan of more spices and flavor. We also ordered fried mushrooms both times. They don't give you as much as I'd like. They had the smoother kind of breading than the flakier crispy kind of breading. They tasted alright, just wish there were more. My mom didn't love the burger she got, and her fries for some reason were super salty. I honestly thought she was crazy at first because my fries had a good amount of seasoning, but I did try hers and she was right - they had way more on them than mine did! So all in all, I thought the chicken was good (both times) but it might be a while until visiting again... if we even do (since not everyone was a huge fan). I definitely hope they update their covid protocols to reflect what they are truthfully putting into practice or not. That's the main thing I took away from the visit.

Yelp
This is one of those old-school burger joints that you just don't find everywhere anymore with all of the chains taking over. It's in a rougher part of town over in West Tulsa but it's well worth the drive if you can make it there. The food is hot and fresh but sometimes with a smaller staff it can take a few minutes to get your food so don't be in a hurry. Get the double cheeseburger with everything on it you won't regret it!! Fries are hot a fresh, seasoning gives good flavor.
google avatar

Ruby W.

Yelp
Excellent burgers! We stopped by for a late dinner with the kids and left happy and full! Being on a family vacation, we wanted a home cooked meal and we got it! We loved the atmosphere and the food was incredible! Huge servings and fresh, made to order burgers served here are top notch! We also met the owner who came in as we were leaving! Ferren is incredibly welcoming! Go eat at Linda-Mar!

Sarah W.

Yelp
Sat outside in the drive thru for 7+ minutes waiting for my single side I ordered just to have an employee walk up and be like "you still waiting." IT WAS SITTING DIRECTLY BY THE WINDOW, THE EMPLOYEE JUST NEVER BOTHERED TO HAND IT TO US!!!! Wtf is this place doing?
google avatar

Ethan B.

Yelp
I did get this to go but it was only about 5 minutes till I consumed it. First of all the fries were soggy and unseasoned. Tasted like I was eating a cooked plain potato. The chicken was also extremely bland and slightly crunchy. The best part was the fried jalapeños and bread.
google avatar

Kathi N.

Yelp
It was fairly dirty inside. I can overlook the ambience if the food is worth it. We had the chicken bites, just average. I had the onion rings, nothing special. Was disappointed the fries were not crinkle fries. Doubt I would go back.

Misty M.

Yelp
the food is good, but the lady at the drive thru is absolutely awful. I've gotten food there 3x, and she has had an attitude every time. I will not be returning, and I'll make sure everyone I know is aware of the wretched customer service. Just be nice. Hire someone happier because she ain't it!! I should've just gone to Arnold's drive thru. They are awesome and so much faster!
google avatar

Johnny M.

Yelp
I really enjoy the jalapeno chicken bites! The burgers are tops too.

Bryan K.

Yelp
For 40+ Years it's always my go to place when I go back home at least once or twice while I'm there! You can't beat it!!
google avatar

Josh S.

Yelp
I ordered a triple cheeseburger combo, chicken basket combo, and Chili cheese tots. I was charged 44.26. Not sure what kind of math they do but definitely new to me. Be very careful when visiting this place food was decent. How they randomly pulled a number out the air to charge me is not a good look.
google avatar

Erin R.

Yelp
Food is awesome! Owner had given me a free meal so decided to try it out, and now it's on my families regular rotation. And they actually have stuff that I can eat even though I'm allergic to a lot.

Jonathan B.

Yelp
If you're looking for a simple burger joint off the beaten path, try this place. Staff was nice, food was fresh and good. Place was stuck about 20 years in the past, but that's not always a bad thing.

Sharon M.

Yelp
This is a gem that I recently learned about although I was born and raised in Tulsa! Highly recommend the jalapeño chicken. I love that the orders are prepared fresh and made to order.
google avatar

Glenna R.

Yelp
You truly cannot go wrong here. The chili dog on Texas toast, chicken basket, spicy chicken basket and Westside burger are all to die for, the staff are always friendly and welcoming and The Andy Griffith Show showing on the tv in the background is a nice, nostalgic touch. We love it!

Yelp
I took my 40 year old son & 17 year old granddaughter to the Linda MarDrive In this week and they had Cheeseburgers which they said were Great but I ordered the Fried Jalapeño Chicken Pieces because I met Mike the owner the day before and he said that was his #1 best selling item and his customers Loved it. So I tried it and he was not exaggerating- it was Fantastic as were the fries we all had. Needless to say I'll be going back real soon to get it again and again. Mike's got a Gal that takes the orders and $$ when you get there and she did whatever we needed and was extremely nice. I Highly recommend Linda Mar for some Real Good Food

Matt M.

Yelp
Fun little grease-fest in Tulsa -- a local institution, even. Go for the jalapeño chicken and the ridiculously greasy cheeseburgers. (Do not go if you're expecting artisanal coffees, organic greens, and anything made with tofu.) Friendly service. Warning: Masks haphazardly donned by staff members -- at best.

Brittany W.

Yelp
The burgers were delicious. I got the double cheeseburger with onion rings. Definitely recommend.

Yelp
Been going for as long as I can remember. Always fresh, hot, great quality not over priced absolutely delicious. same way it's always been! Friendly service and fun tv shows. Small not crowded though.

Yelp
I was craving a burger and this was the only spot open! The service was fantastic, the burger was well cooked and seasoned, and the French fries were crispy. Overall, a great experience!

Yelp
I absolutely love this place, the service and the food. I accidentally ran up out a couple of years ago and I still love it.

Yelp
Best burger I have had in a long time!! Great service as well. The staff and the owner are very kind and friendly made feel at home. Thank you guys!

Yelp
Love Linda Mars open thru Covid. Love the boneless chicken basket. Burgers are great too. Always friendly.

Yelp
I never order chicken anywhere but someone I was with got chicken from here and it was soooo good! The seasoning was perfect and the honey mustard was good too!! I would def come here just to order the chicken and fries!!

Anna T.

Yelp
The worst Customer Service ever drive-through line will take you 25+ minutes to get your food when you receive your food. It's absolutely wrong. This is the second time going here. The employees are absolutely disgusting. Also very unsanitary.

Yelp
This little whole in the wall west side gem has been serving green country for 60 years. If you are making your rounds to decide what your favorite Tulsa area burger spot is, or if you just have a craving for a tasty American made Cheeseburger, Linda Mar has to be a stop for you. Cheeseburgers are well seasoned and have those griddle-top crusty edges that make you close your eyes & go hmmmmm. Fresh crispy vegetable with a great bun to filling ratio. The fries are old school crinkle cut style cooked to golden crispy perfection. Fried okra was a little overdone to my liking, but the chicken chunks made up for it for sure. The bite size chicken morsels were lightly battered, seasoned well and so juicy and tender on the inside. Old school Nostalgia seeps out of every inch of this place. With the playful banter between the front & back of the house employees, pictures of the owners old car racing teams and the Andy Griffith Show on repeat. You are transformed to a slower simpler time. #eatthelocals

Yelp
Burgers were great and the cashier was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back next time we are in Tulsa.

Yelp
Great food, nice people, the jalapeño chicken is the best! The inside of the restaurant is a little messy, but there's outdoor seating too.

I had the Westside Burger (Double Meat & Cheese, Mustard, Pickles, Onions, Lettuce, and Tomatos on Texas Toast). I also got Crinkle Cut Fries and Jalapeno Chicken. The Burger was great. There was a good meat to bun ratio. The onions, lettuce, and tomato were fresh and gave it a good balance for a classic roadside burger. The Jalapeno Chicken was Meh and the fries had some sort of spice, Lawry's, maybe? I will request plain fries next time. Overall a solid burger joint.

Yelp
Our favorite burger place. My husband gets the jalapeño chicken basket and the chicken is tender & great flavor. The burgers are a thin patty but taste great, you can get them in a kid bun to limit bread intake. People there are super friendly. It's reasonably priced & you get lots of fries. We eat here pretty much once a week.

Yelp
I love this old place. Interesting to think it has been around for over 40 years. No fancy 100 item burger menu here. What you will find is a delicious basic tasty burger fries and a soda. Linda Mar Drive-In is what every old burger joint hopes to be in its old age. Still good. Still in operation.

Yelp
Small place with line of people about 18" from you if you are seated on the left. It was loud and the Andy Griffith show just added to the din. The hamburger came in a cute red basket with cheerful checked paper on a huge nest of fries. Hamburger was okay, fresh veggies. The bun was greasy and stuck to my teeth, that has never happened and was distracting. I ordered fries, my husband onion rings, they brought us both fries. They were very busy so, we didn't complain. Crinkle cut fries nicely seasoned, but I am not crazy about crinkle. Pepsi products. Unless you can eat a really lot, there are double amount of fires any one person can eat. I hate to waste food, I was raised with, "eat your food, there are people starving in India."

Yelp
I happened upon this place on accident while trying to find a different restaurant. There is a drive through, and the burger I had was very good. I would definately recommend it and will be going again.
