"The Boston cream is a popular option at Linda’s Donuts, but please, please, please do not skip the honey dipped. It is simplicity perfected." - Terrence Doyle

Really good doughnuts (and large!) and friendly service. $2.75 per doughnut 🍩 as of April 2025. Plenty of street parking nearby.

Google
Not too many places like Linda's left, unfortunately. My favorite item to get here is the corned beef hash breakfast with two eggs, home fries, and toast. The honey dip donut is amazing, even more so when they're still warm. All this and I have still not mentioned the insanely reasonable prices! Linda's is a must try!

Google
One of Belmont’s long time gems. Everyone loves donuts and Linda’s is one of the best places to go for them. Old school place with a strong local following and some wicked good donuts. If donuts were healthier I’d be here all the time but for now it’s just a special occasion thing.

Google
The most delicious and fresh donuts I had in a long time. Definitely a place to visit.

I eat donuts once per year (not including random parties or work events). I'll literally make a purchase once per year because I have a uncontrollable desire for donuts. Every birthday I generally just run to Dunkin. One day a colleague brought in Linda's. Well let's just say I haven't even thought about DD, the donuts here are big in serving and delicious. Today was one of those days and I ended up buying four. I would have bought more but I think they sold out of a lot of other options. Very satisfied. Can't wait for the next year! In the photo: Cinnamon, Powder sugar, Jelly stick and Boston cream.

Google
Great donuts. Sells out quick, so get there early. They do have breakfast sandwiches, that I haven't tried but it did look really good when they were making it to order. Donuts are not as expensive as Union Square or Kane's, but I highly recommend trying it, if you're in the neighborhood, but still worth the trip if you're not. They do close at 2PM daily

Google
This place gets 5 stars for great bagel breakfast sandwiches. The donuts were only ok. The raised were very oily tasting so much that it was like fried dough from the carnival. Then I found a piece of blue plastic in one of them. And then there was the small adorable but screaming toddler trying to touch everything behind the counter and a parent going “nooooo don’t touch those are for the customers.”

Google
Amazing prices, neighborhood service, and of course the best donuts!

Yelp
Delicious donuts and breakfast sandwiches - super fast and friendly service. Owners go out of the way to remember customers! Love the coffee too . Prices are great .

Yelp
I love Linda's. This family-owned hidden gem in Belmont, is one of my go to spots before work. They are known for their fresh-made donuts that are of the highest quality. My favorite is the honey dip. I also love their breakfast sandwiches. Their egg&cheddar on an english muffin never disappoints me. I suggest calling ahead and placing your sandwich order as this place gets very busy.

Yelp
A small corner shop in Belmont serving some of the softest and fluffiest donuts you'll ever find. We came mid morning and decided on getting a box of dozen donuts for $30. The menu is small and the labels are small, but the donuts are hefty. They're a good sized donut, bigger than Dunkin, but not as big as Blackbird. We got a mix of yeasted brioche (honey dip, chocolate sprinkle, Boston cream, Bavarian cream, lemon, apple spice) and cake (honeybun, cinnamon, powdered) donuts. Both were really good and still stayed soft for a few days after. They're super easy to pull apart and even the cake donuts are not dry. The apple spice tasted like apple pie filling, the cream fillings were good, but the lemon filling could have been a bit more tart. If you're in the area, I would absolutely recommend stopping by to try one of their donuts!

Yelp
You often don't find hole in the wall donut shops anymore. Many places like Union Square Donuts are fancy and expensive. This place is a wonderful spot on the Belmont-Cambridge line. While all the donuts and breakfast sandwiches I've tried have been delicious, their classic Honey Dip is perfection. It's an airy pillow with so much glaze! Love how they're open early - I tend to stop their on my way home if I spend the night out and it's so great if you're hungover! Staff is always super friendly.

Yelp
Took some donuts to-go from Linda's Donuts on Sunday morning. The reason they get away with the questionable ambiance is by the quality of the food. Quality: While the space may scare you away, the donuts are delicious. I ordered four different flavors, Honey Dipped Jelly, Honey Dipped, Jelly, and Coconut. Stick with any honey flavors you see, those are the specialities. The Honey Dipped Jelly definitely belongs on a list of best donuts I have ever tried. The others were also good, but the flavor of the honey glazed truly works magic. Quantity: Large donuts, and those with filling are stuffed. Value: $2-$3 for each Donut. Ambiance: Linda's Donuts is a small shop located in the Watertown area of Massachusetts. The shop looks run-down both inside and out. When you enter they have a few tables for guests interested in dining in, which would not be my recommendation. They have you order at the counter, which is still built like a COVID fortress. Crowd: Two other guests, both ordering donuts. Even with a more extensive menu, it feels like a place you only get coffee, donuts, and bagels. Service: Quick and efficient. Parking: Plenty of street parking nearby.

Yelp
Amazing place and wonderful hospitality love this place moved here in 2017 and now it's 2022 so that just says it all.

Yelp
This wonderful little shop gave me the best service and restored all faith in our industry!! The girl who served me at the counter, I so wish I had gotten her name to give an appropriate shout, was happy, helpful, knowledgeable and seemed like she actually wanted to be at work at 8:30a on a Sunday morning!! The gentleman actually hooked up up with a sample since it was my first visit!! The shop had a handful of "happy to be there" people as well that were totally into the product they received and helpful to a first time buyer!! It was like the Cheers of donut shops. Now we are going to get to the amazing products!! I have held a doughnut shop in Stringtown Indianapolis as the best yeast doughnuts and Linda dethroned them with one bite! I am not the only Hoosier that can make the claims of this other doughnut shop; when they sampled Linda's wares on Sunday their eyes light up as much as mine and voiced their culinary props to this juggernaut in doughnuts!! Thank you for a wonderful experience here in the NE. These have been far and few between and this experience made me happier than you could ever know!! Try the jelly sticks, fried in all I could think was a lard with pork fat! It was amazingly sweet and savory at the same time. The sample of a mini boston cream pie made me a believer!! I am so sad that we were so focused on the fantastic flavor that I forgot to take a pic of the dozen. Be smart and go and take many pictures of various dozens you should get from here!

Hubert H.

Yelp
Very large, and very fluffy donuts. Make sure you get here early, as they often run out of the classics!!!

Jack E.

Yelp
Great donuts for the price, but the only thing I don't like about Linda's is that they have had very inconsistent hours lately. On Saturday 10/15, there was a sign on the door that just read "Open Tuesday Oct. 18". No explanation for why they are closed.

Judy C.

Yelp
Excellent little mom and pop donut shop. We stopped by Linda's Donuts on a Sunday morning while walking around the Watertown area. We could tell this was a popular place among the locals as there was a line out the door. We bought 4 donuts: Boston creme x2, apple spice, and the honey-glazed chocolate. (I asked the cashier what was the most popular donut and he said honey-glazed chocolate). The total came out to $6 - not bad at all! We couldn't wait and dug into them the second we got back to the car. The chocolate donut was very good, more of a cake-like consistency but still retaining good moisture, and larger than your typical donut! The filled donuts though are where they're at. They have more a yeast-dough consistency, super soft and moist. We loved the Boston creme! It had a good creme to dough ratio and was not overly sweet!. The apple spice was good as well but just under-filled. Would go back without a doubt to try their other filled donuts.

Jamie L.

Yelp
Linda's Donuts is a mom and pop type shop that sells breakfast, coffee, sandwiches and donuts. The donuts are traditional style donuts, so don't come in looking for a gourmet/loaded style donut. Parking is available on the street. There is no lot. The shop is small, but can fit a big group of people comfortably. There are a few tables inside if you choose to eat in. On this visit I decided to try the donuts. I chose Butternut Crunch Cake, Chocolate Frosted Yeast Raised, Chocolate Honey Dip Old Fashioned, and Honey Dip Yeast Raised. The yeast raised donuts are soft and fluffy. I ate the Honey Dip without any hesitation! The honey glaze was slightly sweet, and it paired well with the soft donut. The chocolate frosted wasn't smothered in chocolate, and I liked that. The raised donuts don't need very much topping to be enjoyed. The chocolate old fashioned was dense and great for a chocolate lover. The Butternut Crunch cake donut was denser than average cake donuts, but the flavor was still good. It was not as sweet as other cake donuts. Of all the donuts, Linda's Honey Dip is definitely my favorite. I'll definitely return for more and maybe to try their sandwiches!

Yelp
3.5/5 Updated 1/19/19: No line around 9:00AM on a Saturday. Pros: -Super fresh donuts -Cake donuts. Seriously. Get the Honey Dew and the Coconut and thank me later. Cons: -Lines! The line for this place was out the door at 8am on a Saturday! -Minimal chocolate icing on their frosted donuts, and it's not very good -- Honey Dew Plain glazed cake donut. This donut was moist, sweet, and buttery. I was shocked by how good it was! I would definitely get this again if I returned to Linda's. Coconut Plain cake donut with light glaze(?) and coconut topping. Again, this was another winner (probably because it's the same base as the Honey Dew). I would also highly recommend getting this one at Linda's. Chocolate Honey Dipped Glazed chocolate cake donut. Not as good as the glazed plain cake donuts (slightly more dry), but not bad. Boston Cream Re-tried this one and didn't taste the strange cinnamon flavor that I noticed previously, but still didn't love this. The best part is probably the cream filling. Honey Dipped Glazed yeast donut. Very soft and fresh, but a little dry/bland tasting. Mini Coffee Roll Essentially a glazed donut in the shape of a cinnamon roll with cinnamon in the folds. Kind of bland tasting. Bavarian Cream Yeast donut with vanilla filling and powdered sugar coating. Best part is the cream filling. Chocolate Sprinkle Yeast donut with (minimal) chocolate icing and rainbow sprinkles. I wish it had more chocolate. Apple Spice Yeast donut with apple filling and powdered sugar coating. Tasted like apple pie inside. Blueberry Yeast donut with blueberry filling and powered sugar coating. Tasted like blueberry pie inside.

Yelp
I have no idea how this place is still in business - must be the Belmont bubble. I've visited a few times in the last 6 months and every time it's a line of no less than 10 minutes that ends in a limited selection of donuts. On a Saturday morning at 7am, waiting 10 minutes for a honey dip donut blows my mind.

Stacia S.

Yelp
Nowhere as good as ohlins bakery but people of Belmont have no other donut shop besides nasty dunk n donuts. Breakfast sandwich was good but skimpy on the egg and bacon that was on the croissant sandwich. Donuts lasted 2 days in its original state which means good donut but no flavored decaf coffee options and a bit on the pricey side.. if you're going to make a breakfast sandwich then make it make sense!!! Fill it up more and stop skimping!!!!

Shelley V.

Yelp
Linda's has been a source of much disappointment for me. I got there a half hour after opening only to find they are completely out of donuts! Like, what??? I understand they are freshly made and waste not want not but come on.... I should add this has been the case EVERY TIME I've been there, whether its right after opening or later on in the day... out of donuts. If its in the name you shouldn't be constantly out!! I would really love to leave a positive review once i eventually am able to try these elusive donuts... but I'm not sure i feel like wasting my time again.

Michael A.

Yelp
Very tasty and pillowy yeasted doughnuts. A bit pricy at $30 per dozen. Staff was very polite and helpful'

Debby T.

Yelp
Figured I'd try a small local spot and they were featured on Boston Eaters "Where to Eat Doughnuts in and Around Boston" article. I knew I had already set myself up for failure for going in at 10am but was able to snag a Boston cream but little did I know it wasn't. It was lemon filled.. meh.

Carolyn R.

Yelp
Amazing donuts! I stopped in here last year for the first time, and it was the best Honey Dip donut I have had, it was still warm! I just stopped in again, and even though the Honey dip was not warm this time, it was still the best one I have ever had !! Donuts are large, and fresh ! Service was excellent, very friendly both times. Highly recommend if you are in the area !

Joe And Jennifer C.

Yelp
Went to buy donuts this morning and the woman behind the counter had a hard time finding the chocolate donuts when she was standing in front of them and while I was pointing to them‍ And believe it or not a half dozen of these little things cost $20.000 I believe this store has changed hands from the formerly well staffed and friendly little place ‍

Venessa M.

Yelp
Don't sleep on this mom and pop donut shop. I almost didn't go to it because there was another, more popular IG donut shop that I wanted to try. However Linda's Donuts were much closer so I thought I'd stop. Man oh man am I glad that I did. I consider myself a glazed donut snob and was unsure going in about the honey dip donuts. OMG these donuts were amazing. They are by far the best, melt in your mouth donuts that I've ever eaten, and I've eaten a lot. I stopped in a little before 9 and they were putting out fresh donuts and muffins. So glad I stopped. It's a little, neighborhood shop and not fancy but so family friendly. The service from the young man who handled my order was superb. I'll be back to Linda's on my next visit.

Deb W.

Yelp
The donuts here are pretty good. Don't expect any fancy flavors or designs that you would find in those trending donut shops. They only have regular classic donuts here, but they are super light and fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. It is best if you catch them straight out of the oven! I tried the chocolate glazed and honey dipped. They are super sweet and I can only handle so much sugar at 9 in the morning (but so are all donuts). I took one star off because of the seemingly unfriendly aura the staff gives off. Maybe it's because I'm not a regular and I took a little while to decide what I want but there were no smiles given and an attitude where they were waiting for me to be on my way. I even waited on the side to decide what to order so I wouldn't hold up the short line. If you know what you want, I would recommend visiting this place to try it out, but it's definitely not a place to make friendly conversation.

Sean C.

Yelp
Great donuts if you can get one. Last 4 or 5 times I've gone their either randomly closed or they run out of donuts. Not worth it anymore. Won't be back

Paul Z.

Yelp
Stopped in late morning on a sunday for a quick donut. I try to call ahead to make sure they are open because like other reviews say, they are not open sometimes. I had a classic donut and a coffee that were both pretty good. The donut had a nice crispy outside and a soft inside and the coffee was fine but I mainly used it as something to dip my donut into. Wife had an apple donut with cinnamon and an iced tea that she really enjoyed. The staff seemed to be be friendly to indifferent and parking on Trapelo road. We will try to get there earlier one day to try their other donuts.

Jeff B.

Yelp
Linda's has the best donuts in the area. The donuts are generously sized, always fresh, and the texture is perfect. When you bite into one of their chocolate glazed donuts the exterior of the donut has a crispness to it while the inside is still perfectly moist. I don't know if I've had the opportunity to try every variety they make, but from what I have sampled it's probably safe to say that whichever donut you choose you won't be disappointed. My only advice would be to get there earlier in the day before they run out.

Tak H.

Yelp
Fantastic doughnuts! Glazed jelly was incredible! Their doughnuts are so light but delicious!

Lily T.

Yelp
The best donuts around. I've tried Blackbird in Cambridge, the donut shop in Davis Square, Gail Ann in Arlington, even chains like Dunkin and Honey Dew. Linda's is the best. Hands down. No contest. No question. Best one for me is the sugar donut. Simple, tasty, dreamy. Go get one.

Mike M.

Yelp
Still after all these years and just moving back, the best. Love the staff, prices are always just right. You'd have to be a total douchebag to not enjoy this place. Or just miserable. It's not high end or a true traditional breakfast joint, it's small and simple. Great coffee, above average donuts and a great breakfast sandwich is the key to this place. They do a mean everything bagel with cream cheese. Hangover cure is their bacon egg n cheese on an english muffin. Greasy and delicious. Multiple coffee flavors and seasonable varities as well. Aside from getting donuts the wait for sandwiches and hot food may take a bit, so relax and go in and enjoy it for what it is. A small business putting out a good product. If not take a walk somewhere else and be miserable there.

Alana H.

Yelp
Best doughnuts I have ever had in my whole life!!!! Definitely recommend this place to all people who like good doughnuts.

Julie V.

Yelp
Was excited to try Linda's donuts today but seriously? Who puts a Boston Creme facedown in the bag? Was this on purpose?

Rosie Q.

Yelp
In the age where hipster gourmet donuts has almost taken over, you'll still find a few of these old school mom and pop's style donut shops in towns like Belmont. This is the hangout spot for many of their old patrons so expect super awkward staring throughout your time there. Inside, it's a bit gloomy. And the pros? They had a decent selection of your nostalgic donuts to pick from and plenty of street parking. Mini Coffee Roll- This was a perfectly crafted donut. Soft, fluffy interior, moderately sweet and just the right amount of it (regular donut size). Honey Dipped- Can never go wrong with this pick. Classic puffy and chewy donut with a light coating of honey glaze. Chocolate Frosted- Nothing I hate more than a stale donut. The chocolate was sticky and the rest was yuck. Jelly Donut- Very sweet sugary donut with fluorescent red jelly inside. Old school indeed. Overall Service: Not the most warm and welcoming folks but it's worth going here for those mini coffee rolls.

Cory T.

Yelp
Came by Saturday around noon, closed with no explanation. No sign posted saying why they were closed, no hours posted. Someone was inside but didn't bother opening the door to talk with me despite me standing very clearly outside their front door. Maybe great donuts, maybe not, I haven't had a chance to try them despite visiting during the business hours they posted on their claimed Yelp page. Would you like to chance that they're open when you want a donut?

John T.

Yelp
The best honey glazed donuts. I cannot remember when we first went to Linda's. With 2 sons (now 26 and 33) Linda's has been our go to place to purchase donuts for school, sports, and travel sustenance. Boxes of honey glazed may even have won my son presidency of his 9th grade class! These donuts feature an exceptionally light yeast dough and not too sweet glaze. The dough reminds me of the locomades treats I have eaten in Cyprus, Greece, and local Greek festivals. After what is now more than 20 years, they remain the first (and only) choice for my sons.

Kayin P.

Yelp
Good fresh donuts every time. There's no Off the Wall delicious creativity that you're gong you find in more modern iterations of donut sanctuaries (So... There's no Maple Bacon Bourbon Double Glazed Donut... but really, how awesome does that sound!) Solid, tried and true flavors... only. They run out and close early, so plan accordingly. Must - See TV... untill you get tired of reruns...

Jackie C.

Yelp
I recently moved to Watertown and was looking for a new donut spot. Luckily I found Linda's the other day and was so happy! This is a cute shop with awesome homemade donuts that was super fresh and tasty.

Mike E.

Yelp
Amazing donuts, just make sure to get there early on weekends (I'd say before 9, otherwise the donut options get limited).

Roman L.

Yelp
Some of the best donuts I have had. Not to mention the prices are reasonable! I have not had the chance to try any of the food, but for now I'll keep going back for the honey dip donuts and crullers!

A U.

Yelp
Like donuts use to be! Fabulous donuts! Get there early before they're gone! Can really make your day!

Sarah M.

Yelp
This place came highly recommended, and did not disappoint! I had the honey dipped jelly donut and it is one of the best that I have ever had. I also had the hot Italian with cheese....amazing! If you're in town hit this place up! I will be frequenting during my next visit.

Lucullus L.

Yelp
Remarkably good donuts, if they all taste like their Honey Dip Old Fashioned. That was superb. I wish I'd had a chance to try more, but my stomach was already bursting when I pulled over to check this place out. Highly recommended.

Hailey R.

Yelp
I go to Linda's every Wednesday they always have my large vanilla cream coffee and donuts the people are so very friendly and every time they have extra donuts at the end of the day they give them away for free they may seem like just a coffee and donut place but they make amazing food I highly recommend the tuna melts this is definitely one of my favorite places to eat

Elonna F.

Yelp
Linda's donuts is exactly what you want it to be. You're not coming here for a cozy, hip atmosphere, with lots of wood and a minimalistic design... you're coming for the donuts, and you won't be disappointed. We ordered both the chocolate and regular honey dipped donuts, as well as a cinnamon donut. Each was exceptional. The honey glaze was perfectly sweet, but not overwhelming, and the cake donuts had the most perfect outer crunch. They also have a regular, diner-style breakfast menu, for those who aren't into a sweet start. Would definitely recommend.

Travis M.

Yelp
Great neighborhood donut shop and cafe. The "yeast" donuts tend to be our favorite, but all are good.

Claire D.

Yelp
Linda's has reopened! Yay! Cute people who give low or no stars because they're ummm bit .. busy. Very happy

Julia F.

Yelp
This is my all time favorite donut, coffee breakfast on the weekends... Roll out of bed and buy cigarettes on the way out at the place two doors away kind of a place. My mouth is watering and my mind is reeling trying to think of the last time I allowed myself into this place. Usually I have to talk my dad out of going here - just cause I know we would become supremely unhealthy if that were our coffee shop at work. The ice coffee is really good. Their honey dip donuts are really good. if you want a crueler and have them actually call it by it's name instead of having to call it a "stick" or whatever DD now calls it. Go to Linda's, be nice to yourself - indulge. Brilliant stop for a breakfast sandwich, a great alternative to any other chain for an early Sunday breakfast. This is the only place I would consider going to early morning - style. I don't want to talk shit about any international houses, cause they serve their purposes when you are drunk, or hungover, but - good breakfast is a good thing to know where to find.

Michael B.

Yelp
We stopped into Linda's Donuts to pick up a few sweet treats for home. Get here early people as their limited supply of freshly made donuts each morning do sell out. They are not cheap, but well worth it compared to the large chains. The glazed and chocolate dipped glazed were the picks on this day, but previous trips have resulted in jelly filled and donuts with various sprinkles (OK Jimmies for you locals). If you are lucky enough to have a hot donut, cherish the moment and order more than one!! Either way, these freshly made jewels will be sure to satisfy any sweet tooth and put a charge into your early morning steps. BTW, nice job on the sign touch up...it looks fantastic as a fresh look on a Belmont classic.

Erika P.

Yelp
The good: donuts here are amazing. Particularly the honey dipped ones. Go early, especially on weekends--they sell out fast. Sandwiches also are great. Downside: they don't have any fancy coffees so don't expect that. I got excited when I saw their flavored coffees but they are all pre-made and iced. I think they serve hot coffee but it's nothing to write home about.

Rebecca G.

Yelp
I hate to write negative reviews about locally owned places, but I was quite disappointed in my French toast order last Saturday. What I received was technically French toast--two slices of white bread that had been fried in egg--but this particular version was absolutely tasteless. I can't say I have ever had French toast without cinnamon being added to the egg batter for flavoring. My order was so unappetizing that I could not even finish it. As expected, it was a busy morning, and it didn't seem worth the hassle to ask the kitchen whether this dish followed their standard protocol. I'd be willing to give Linda's another try, but perhaps it's a lesson on my part to not order fish from a steak house.

Shawn W.

Yelp
What a great little doughnut / coffee ship. Went there this morning & was greater by this friendly older gentlemen. I asked him if they had breakfast sandwiches & he read them all for me off of the list. My favorite? The bacon egg & cheese in an English muffin. It is all made to order. This is a SMALL PLACE! Don't expect to come with a large group. But DEFINITELY get doughnuts to go! My favorite is the honey dew, an old fashioned doughnut deep fried & covered in a sweet honey glaze. DELICIOUS! If you like the softer honey dipped doughnuts, don't fret! They have those, too! I LOVE supporting local businesses...and this is one of them. GO EARLY, especially on the weekends if you want doughnuts.

Jackie N.

Yelp
Donuts were A+, breakfast sandwiches a B, but service was horrible. Very confusing, slow, missed some items, and very unfriendly. Definitely have to get there early for donuts.

Emma H.

Yelp
Fluffy and delicious donuts for cheap. Nothing more you can ask for in your local donut shop. Classic flavors and quick service is what makes Linda's a hot spot for residents. There is a $5 minimum for credit cards, so if you plan on just buying a donut bring cash! During the early morning hours on the weekdays this place can be pretty crowded, but the lines tend to move fast due to most people ordering donuts. Belmont St is full of spots and parking should never be an issue.
