Linde

I have been returning to this place for many years now (about 2-3 times each year). I have never been disappointed, the status always very pleasant. The owners and the staff are very attentive, friendly and helpful. It is always very refreshing experience to visit this family run place. Rooms and well equipped (well one little possible improvement would be an addition of a small fridge), clean and comfortable.

Gasthof Linde has one of the most smiling and open hearted friendly service attitudes of any of the hotels/restaurants I have been to. 5th generation of the same family. Also: Check out the wine menu in the super bar and the restaurant!

Only lunch, so I cannot comment on the rooms. The location is what it is and sitting outside in the garden can be quite noisy with all the lorries and busses passing but that’s it. The restaurant however is fantastic, the service is very attentive and very good and the selection of food even for the lunch menu was perfect. I will definitely go back.

100% recommend! I stayed one night for a work trip for an event in Baden. The bus that goes to Baden goes a 1-minute walk away from the hotel. Family-owned hotel, comfortable rooms. Very quiet and great service. The bed was very comfortable. Two minuses: - the room I was in, the bath/shower was so high and the ceiling was so slow that I (173 cm) was still able to wash my hair but anyone taller would have to squat or sit in the bath to do it. - My company was had paid for my stay beforehand with a credit card (or so we thought). When I was checking out however, the receptionist asked me to pay there instead. I had the money, but it was a bit frustrating since they did have my company’s card information, but now I have to expense it again from my employer. Not a huge deal, luckily I had the funds, but something to be worked out to be smoother in the future. The receptionist did apologise for the inconvenience.

I stayed again during my recent business trip. As always the service was great. You can tell that this is family run business and people are proud to provide great experience. The rooms have been renovated and look very nice and are well equipped. |Great value for price paid.|And their restaurant is great too.

We booked a table for dinner at the Restaurant and Hotel Linde. What a wonderful place!!!! We were heartily welcomed by the senior owner and seated. The restaurant looks great, perfectly renovated cosy and warm with a lot of details throughout the different rooms. Menu contain typical Swiss dishes as well as seasonal classics. Everything we ordered was perfectly cooked and served, staff was friendly and attentive! We will definitely come back because unfortunately, there aren’t as many restaurants like this any more!

Whenever I travel to Switzerland, I spend at least a few nights at Hotel Linde. That is not only for practical reasons (as the family I'm visiting lives in the village), but also because staying at Linde is always an absolute joy! The staff are super-friendly and most have been there for many years and know how to ensure a perfect stay for their guests. So I always feel like "coming home". This time I discovered that their rooms had recently been fully refurbished. So recently in fact that my room still had the (pleasant) smell of "new". The refurbishment was made in very good taste and fitting into the concept of the whole hotel. Very modern and stylish, but still keeping with the history of the building itself. Also very streamlined and functional, with plenty of storage and hanger space for clothes, and without any unnecessary clutter. If there is one slight criticism I have, then it's the shower curtains. I wish the management had decided to replace them with a shower door, which doesn't cling to a showering person like a curtain does, and which would properly seal off the wet room from the rest of the bathroom. Other than that, I liked the fresh image, cosiness and functionality of the room. Breakfast was, as always, superb and made for a perfect start to the day. I'm looking forward to my next stay already now, hopefully also with the opportunity to have dinner at the restaurant, which I was not able to this time due to my schedule (apart from a late-night dinner from the small menu, after late arrival from the airport - although that was delicious just like everything else). Great place, which places perfection and customer satisfaction at the heart of everything they do!

Only went to the restaurant here for dinner, very nice internal court shadowed by trees. Service is very welcoming and present when you need them, prices are average I would say for a restaurant of this quality. The food was delicious and well presented. I will certainly be back!
