A quick guide to Penang’s street food - SilverKris

"A quintessential nasi kandar destination where an array of meats, seafood and vegetables are steeped in different curries and gravies and presented from a multi-tiered buffet steamer; expect daily specials like fish curry and daging kicap alongside classics such as fried chicken and telur dadar. Generous portions are typically finished with kuah banjir—a mix of gravies for smothering—and many patrons embrace the local tradition of eating with their fingers; the stall’s hours often extend late into the night or run 24 hours." - SilverKris

Nice location and I enjoyed the spicy lemon soda. Instead of waiting for us to pay at the cashier, the waiter was really pushy and insisted we pay while we were still eating—pushing the calculator in front of us to show us the amount. Other than his behaviour we enjoyed everything

Don’t ever go there if you’re hungry. We ordered instant noodle soup and mee goreng. They took almost 30min to serve and got the orders wrong!!!!!!! We ordered non spicy but they’re all spicy!!! Quality of food is so meh even after taking almost 30min to prepare. And the place is not even busy!

Walked in and ordered mee goreng mama, but I got the dishes that totally different from the photo in menu. Fish and chips is also big different from the menu showing.

I loved the simple yet super tasty Fried Koay Teow - mamak style. The chicken chop wasn't too bad. Loved the variety and most of all the location hence the wonderful vibes. We'll be back for sure!

Small and cozy place to eat and drink. Has a bar like table with a few more around the shop. The shop has quite beatiful design and look very nice. The price is affordable too.

We ordered orange juice. I don't recommend it, small cups and they obviously added some water. Worst orange juice we ve had in Asia !

We ordered Chinese Fried Rice... and IT WAS DELICIOUS! And the gentlemen running it are really hospitable. Made our trip to Penang a memorable one.
