So my friend and I have been really wanting to get korean facial, and see what the hype is about. I, of course, found this spot through the popular TikTok videos and booked an appointment very easily through text message. My friend and I were a little nervous, given the mixed reviews. People either really love it, or had a bad experience. For us, the experience was perfection. I was extremely impressed with how amazing it was start to finish. Everyone was very friendly to us as soon as we walked through the door. I expressed my concerns with how sensitive my skin is in certain spots, and asked them not to do an extractions except for the blackheads on my nose. They were very understand. I had Amy for my facial, and throughout the whole process she asked if I was okay, making sure I was comfortable through the whole thing. The neck and face massage was perfect. The whole thing was an hour and a half and we got the first time discount of $79 for the hydrating facial + aqua peel. If you’re nervous to book, just do it. And for anyone complaining about having to tip $10, grow up. You’re getting and 1.5 hour facial for under $100. You should really be leaving them a $20+ tip. They didn’t make us feel pressure about money at all either.

Saw this place thru tiktok and wanted to try it with my mom especially the $49 first time facial. The place itself was very clean and the staff were nice however we were booked for 2pm in a couple room and in the end, we ended up in separate rooms which was fine and they started on my mom first because they said otherwise all the other clients would be pushed back which was again fine with us. They said we would still finish around the same time as I was worried one of us would wait too long for the other to finish. Our appointment was 2 pm and she wasn’t taken in u til 2:40pm and I was taken in at 2:50pm which was already annoying as I had to wait almost an hour. My mom had to wait 40 mins for me to finish. The facial itself was 10/10 very relaxing. The only thing to take note of is some of the staff would of course try and offer a lot of other extras even though I already said I just want to do the $49 trial offer. The staff who was doing my mom’s facial came over to me to specifically discuss an extra which would cost us $79/$120 and I kindly refused and said we’ll do it next time and she of course walked away looking unhappy. As per my mom, she was also very aggressive with the facial whereas the staff doing my facial was good and I have no complaints. Overall, I really wanted us to like it so we can go back but after that experience we won’t be coming back. I understand how busy they are but surely the timing of facials would be something they should know and work on as no one wants to wait an hour before getting seen especially if we booked in. I would have enjoyed it more but because of how late and unorganized the timings were, I was honestly already in a bad mood before the facial.

As a black girl who has textured skin and hyperpigmentation … they knew nothing about my skin. My service provider couldn’t do extraction properly so I left super inflamed. She kept commenting about my skin which made me feel horrible. And I was there for 2 hours. Also, I’m pretty sure she was working on someone else while she was doing facial. She kept leaving the room. What irritated me is the gloves she’d use in my face she kept touching the door. Going out the room and coming right back in with the same gloves. Everything she did for my skin was useless and then when it came time to checkout, I wasn’t going to rip bc I was told I should get a $120 facial even tho I only want the $69 one. So I wasn’t one of my budget. They got upset so I just left a $20 too and walked out of there 0/10 do not recommend. Only gave 2 stars because my esthetician was very nice

Holy f!!! I never do reviews but OMG I just finished my session with Nuo btw the only thing I’m gonna say it’s I knocked out for an hour with the mask on! Was totally amazing I hope I didn’t snore too much but that gave me a good reset! Highly recommend this service at this place I’m doing a package that was a present, collagen, but all the facial is just great.

update: I LOVE THIS PLACE. ❤️❤️ LOYAL CUSTOMER FOR ALMOST A YEAR NOW and my skin has gotten so much better. I used to breakout all the time, at least once every couple of weeks and coming here consistently has dramatically improved my skin. i had lost faith in facials prior to coming here and im so glad i decided to give it a shot and now i can’t imagine not coming here. original review: i’ve been coming here for a few months now and i absolutely love this facial spa (owned and operated by Ling for 20 years)❤️ i have rosacea and sensitive skin and have been to other facialists in the past who would do extractions that left scars (which i still have). these ladies know how to perform extractions and while i experience some redness the day of, when i wake up the next morning the areas are barely noticeable. the massage was also amazing and i would go so far as to say it’s more satisfying than the massages that i get from actual massage places. during my first couple of visits they would bring up things they noticed about my skin and edit the facial process here and there to suit my skin needs. i bought a five pack of their acne facials after doing the $49 trial price and i really wish i got the 10-pack because this has become such a nice (and one of the few) self-care rituals i slot for myself and definitely the one i look forward to the most.

Google
Genuinely enjoyed my experience. Ann was lovely, handled my skin well (textured, Black, acne scars), and was so sweet to explain everything as she went through it. I did upgrade my facial to include a mask (there was a special so it was $80, but idk how helpful that was compared to the rest of what I get out of the basic facial). They will see me again.

Google
Appointment was for a hydrating facial for sensitive skin and massage. Staff pressured me to do the (more expensive) acne treatment. Staff said they couldn’t do the hydrating facial on me because they did not want to do an “ineffective” treatment. Staff did not listen to me when I said my skin is sensitive (I have eczema). I was told that the itching and burning feelings during the facial were normal. It’s been about 2 days and my skin is peeling, feeling itchy, and burns when I put on moisturizer. Right before I left, staff told me “oh also you have back acne” 😭

I went last week to get a first time facial. I went around 3pm and was seen immediately. Mabel was my esthetician and we talked so much about life and other things. I really enjoyed talking with her because it made me feel more comfortable being in an unknown salon and also because it was my first time getting a facial. Because I was only visiting NYC for the week, she suggested I get a more in depth facial treatment so I went with her advice and I don’t regret it. The initial treatment I wanted was their first time customer $49 facial, but I ended up getting their “ftc”$98 facial. She focused a lot on my redness and clogged pores from stress, makeup, and diet. She also gave me some advice on cleansing and which skincare products I should try. After the appointment, I was red of course but it went down after like 2 days. I checked my skin at the one week mark and it has become so much softer and clearer. I of course need to do more work on my scarring but I can tell that the facial I got was worth it and there are a lot of improvements. I will definitely be coming back to Ling Mak in the future!!!

Yelp
Just came here today, I found it on TikTok I've been looking for a good facial place to come too monthly! I think I found the place for me! I have medium dark combo skin. The message and face mask at the end was my favorite. When I walked In I was offered a rice cookie and water which was so cute! The front desk was very nice and the place was very clean. I will say the pores on my nose weren't as thoroughly clean as a place I've been at before but this was also my first time so next time I come I'll elaborate more on that

Yelp
Getting a facial this good and comprehensive for just $49 was absolutely mindblowing to me. I saw this spot on TikTok and had to experience it for myself. A one and a half hour facial that includes cleansing, exfoliation, a lifechanging face, neck, shoulder, and chest massage, face steaming, extractions, EYEBROW SHAPING, anti-inflammatory red light, and a hydrating mask that sits on your face for almost a half hour while your skin soaks up all the goodness, finished off with a serum and moisturizer, for $49?!?! Turns out, it was true. Diana did everything my face needed and then some, and I left with skin that looked freshly cleansed and was absolutely glowing. I trusted the process as she cleansed and exfoliated my face, then moved on to the massage. I'd never had my face massaged like this before, but I swear my skin looked better even after this step. The massage itself was so relaxing, this lady knows all the pressure points and I felt the stress leaving my body in the process. The hydrating mask was probably my least favorite part as I'm impatient and hate waiting with nothing to do but be alone with my own thoughts. One thing to note is that you really want to make sure that your eyes are protected well before she applies that hydrating mask. I felt a little get in my eye at one point, which she helped me flush out. I wish I would've bought the first time client package, but this spot is pretty far from me in Astoria, so I wasn't totally sure if I'd be back. That said, even full price would be fair for this level of service, in my opinion.

Yelp
$49 for a 1 hour facial service which was ok! Don't have the highest expectations given the price. They were a bit rough on my skin & the environment wasn't the most pleasant. The staff is a bit rude and will force you to tip them.

Yelp
Came in for a regular facial and ended up getting a little bit of a more expensive one since my skin was quite dry and I had a small eczema breakout. The facial, massage, extractions were nice and I got my eyebrows shaped as well. They offer a package deal for a discount and I ended up buying a 5 pack to treat myself!

Yelp
Overall rating: 4.8 I follow Vivecachow on TikTok and highly recommend her videos for things to do in the city. She posted a first-time facial deal for $49!! I was SHOCKED. It included so many things: 1. Cleansing 2. Exfoliating 3. 10 min face, neck, shoulder massage 4. Face steam 5. Extraction 6. Eye brow plucking 7. Anti inflammatory device 8. Hydrating mask 9. Serum 10. Moisturizer It was for 1.5hr! My only regret is I've learned I don't like it when there's steam on my face. And I should have asked them not to do it. Bc it was hard to breathe a few times. The original price is around $68, or a bundle of 3x for $175. I did everything through texting and I had them confirm my price before I booked. Note it's not a fancy spa. It's in Chinatown. Cash only. But the service, the price, the duration?! How can you say no?! Go to go?!

Ishita G.

Yelp
This place has completely gone down since it blew up on TikTok. The first session was great about 90 min and i booked a package after that experience. Bad decision. Every appointment after that went downhill. There is no consistency in quality, the gloves they wear are squeaky and rough, they are always overbooked and have long wait times. Some facials are 40 min and rushed and others they put a mask and forget you're in the room to take it off. It's impossible to get appointments some time for weeks. There are a lot of affordable places in China town give this one a pass.

Yelp
I was also influenced by Viveca Chow but gf doesn't lie! This no frills beauty spa is legit. $49 for the "basic 1 hr facial" (new customer special) was honestly one of the best experiences I've had for the quality to price ratio. I've easily paid 4x as much for a mediocre facial. The extractions were a little painful and the lymphatic massage can feel a bit sore as well but that's normal. I had time to kill before my flight so this was the perfect impromptu self care treatment before going to the airport. I only wish I had a spa like this back home in San Diego! Also the sign outside says "Ling Mak" instead of "Ling Ling" -- just in case you were confused like me and trying to find the right storefront....

Yelp
Had high hopes for this spa but was very disappointed. They did not seem like they knew what they were doing at all. During the massage she was pressing so hard on my eyes. My vision is still blurry. And any neck massage just focused on my spine bone. She began putting different treatments on my face that all made my face burn and itch very bad, I asked her to take it off, but she wouldn't. When she started extractions, she put so much pressure that it ripped my skin and now I have bloody scabs where she started. I ended up stopping her and ending the treatment halfway. They still tried to get me to pay full price but ended up giving me a $10 discount. Would not recommend.

Yelp
I had never gotten a facial in Chinatown before but decided to give this a try on the recommendation of @VivecaChow and it was an excellent experience! Reservation - I called a couple of days early to book a time and was able to find one quickly. On the day I arrived 20 mins early and they accommodated an early start. Space - a nice clean and new space with separate rooms for each client Equipment - from the aqua peel to the steaming machine, everything seemed top of the line - what you usually see at Korean facial spots Product - I don't remember the brand, but the fact that my sensitive skin did not flare up (it's been about 2 weeks since I went in) says everything I need to know. They use peeling solutions etc. which are quite effective! Service - firstly the women who helped me were very kind and accommodating. Secondly, they were exceptionally thorough and skilled. One side of my gave needed extensive extractions and they went through each one diligently, trying to cause as little pain as possible. They will do as much and as little extractions as you want, so just communicate what works for you. They were patient and checked in on the mask when I had to sit with it for 20 mins. Value - it's a 2 hour service for the introductory price of 49 dollars (which includes the aqua peel machine), so big yes! After that you can buy packages of 10 for about 550 dollars if you want, or individually (which are probably a little more expensive). The packages don't include the aqua peel but I think you can buy that separately if you want. Overall great experience! I only reserve one star to try it to it again to see consistency. Definitely give it a try!

Yelp
Highly recommend! I heard of this place through someone's IG post.. and I'm glad I did! Your first service is nicely discounted, and the staff were very sweet. I loved the first 3/4 of my facial. The person who helped me took their time, was tender yet firm and thorough.. then a customer came in complaining and whining about their appt and in order to help them and quiet them, the person servicing me was switched. They were a little rougher a, little rushed and the vibe was off altogether. I wasn't crazy about the switch in people needless to say. And when I go back I will insist that not happen again, but my initial experience was so pleasant that I would recommend and I would go back. I just hope they don't do that again. That was so wrong to do to someone. Especially when their eyes are closed and they are vulnerable. Not cool. Thats why I docked them a star.

Yelp
awful experience. They overbooked the 12 pm spot and then I was sitting in the room waiting for 20 min, while my friend was in the waiting room. Super awkward.

Yelp
I've been coming to this hole in the wall for around 3 years now. They take really great care of my skin and have impeccable massage technique. Their facials are really massage focused and they use GM Collin products. The facial is truly a wonderful experience for the price. Diana is usually my go to. She doesn't speak much English, but she will clear those pores out. Her massages are also out of this world good. I always get full body massages and cupping added on too. The experience is more for maintenance than full relaxation imo but I think it's so worth it. They do play relaxing music but if it's a busy day, sometimes you hear the front desk chatting, the phone ringing etc. Just wanted to give a heads up! When I first came here years ago, they did try to advertise their package deal during my facial-- I ended up buying it coz I like getting routine facials but sometimes these hole in the walls are known for asking several times. Not sure about now but just be ready to say no firmly if you don't want any of it. They offer 3-5-10 time packages, which roughly average out to $55-65 for the experience. So worth it! PS. Charli S' review that included my name is false information. I wasn't paid and I only had the experience gifted (from PULSD) which I disclosed. It's so damaging to make these assumptions about small businesses. I have been a paying customer for the past few years. There have been a lot of negative reviews from the time the spa was on PULSD but I have worked with the ladies closely to hopefully improve everyone's experience. Also, if you don't have massages often and get one here, you may leave sore or be sore the next day. It's a normal thing because your muscles were worked out. They do lymphatic drainage and work on pressure points. Hope you enjoy your experience here! They deserve it

Yelp
Just came back from doing a facial here. I had the deep cleansing facial and it was a Mother's Day special for $39 (one time original price $68/$69). I booked it today and luckily got a spot. Upon arrival staff was very nice and immediately took me to a room and had me lay down. Diana who did my facial cleansed my skin very well with wipes, cleansers and added hot steam from a machine to open my pores. Afterwards she gave me the best facial massage ever including around the eyes (which for me felt the best with the pressure) as well as around my shoulders and neck. She removed some blackheads and put I believe a clay mask and moisturizer afterwards to finish the job. Over all it took an hour and a half but was definitely a relaxing experience. Please come if you want to treat yourself to a little facial :)

Yelp
This was the worst facial I've ever received in my 30 years of life. My skin has never looked worse. Do not come here.

Yelp
Facial was nice. She did a TERRIBLE job on my nails. Took hours to "buff off"(?) (question mark because I don't even know what she was doing with that file) my previous nails and then literally just glued on tips press on style and painted over them. No acrylic, no overlay, nothing. Just painted over plastic glue-on nails that aren't even fullly attached to my actual nail so I'm sure they will be popping off within days not to mention all the water and debris that will be getting trapped in them. If I'm still in New York when they fall off I'm going back to have them properly fixed. I have unfortunately never had such sloppy work done and have it take SO LONG at that. Paint job goopy and terrible. Pricing was INSANE for what I received. over $40 more than they quoted me when I walked in and I didn't get any extras or add ons. I am so so disappointed. Would not recommend. 2 stars because they were nice.

Yelp
I love it here!! I was recommended by Viveca on instagram and would 10/10 come back. The packages are very appealing too and keeps you accountable for your self love routine. The facial was incredible, extractions were thorough, facial massage lasted a while, and the products felt very good on my skin. The aesthetician always made sure everything step felt good and made sure I was comfortable. The massage was amazing as well it made me fall asleep how relaxed I was! I truly think it's worth the price. They had nice meditation music. I do think they can close the door more often to enjoy the music but besides that I would recommend.

Yelp
Run - don't walk to this amazing find. I got a pulsd voucher for a Spa Day bundle that included a 60 min massage and a 60 min facial for $55. Facial: I have TMJ so I really appreciated not only the facial and how gentle it was on my sensitive skin, but how amazing it felt when they massaged the cleanser and product into my skin. I told them I had sensitive skin so she adapted the treatment to calm down my redness and spend some time on some congested areas around my chin. I was super glowy afterwards and am making this a monthly routine now! Massage: WOW. Just wow. This massage was perfection. I said I wanted firm pressure, and they delivered. I have a lot of knots in my back and I legit feel like I can breathe easier everything is so relaxed and mobile again. Amazing. Staff: Everyone here is so so so nice. I really enjoyed chatting with the team, and when I wanted to zen out and not talk they were amazing about that as well! Ambiance: Really tranquil - I felt really at ease here and it was nice and quiet considering it's in NYC. Highly recommend!

Yelp
My spa place- hole in the wall because it is in between restaurants but the service is great. Bright light in reception/nail salon area and everything clean. There are 2-3 private rooms in the back with 2beds each. I've been coming here since 2015 (my cousin introduced me to facial for my wedding in 2015) and I've been a loyal customer since. They offer more than just facials even though facial/skin care is their expertise. Tiny nail salon in the front corner and all types of spa services in the back from facials to massages to laser hair removal treatments to more. They sell packages for each services so you can easily become a member and come for any services. They primarily speak chinese (Cantonese, taoishan, mandarin) but they do speak limited English. Service menu has english/chinese but I found out they offer many special promotions and services not listed in their bourchure. Just tell them your issues, and they can also see it, they can recommend services to help. They can be pushy about different service treatments; just be firm if not interested. However majority are so tempting as they are great for your skin and health- plus they feel great!

Yelp
I have been coming here to get my facials for almost ten years! I really love the consistency in their facials and the packages are a good deal since you can split it with a friend. The only complaint i have is it has gotten really loud over the past year. People are always talking during the facial, and it gets kind of frustrating when you're trying to relax. Most of the ladies are very nice though, and if it's just you in the room, they won't seek out conversations with other facialists or call someone on the phone. I didn't renew my package because of the noise, since getting a relaxing facial is how i want to reward myself after a tough month of work. However, this place is still a great deal and i would highly suggest it.

Victoria Z.

Yelp
They were so nice and wonderful! A great massage and also amazing facial, they took so much care and were gentle, but made sure to do a thorough job. I got the $49 first time discount, will be sure to come back!

Yelp
I don't get facials very often but this is the worst place I've ever been to. My friend and I came for a massage and facial with the $55 Pulsd voucher. The day before we visited, they called to confirm our appointment for the wrong day and we had to remind them which day it was for. When we went, the front door was locked and the owner (I think) came out from the back to unlock the door and looked confused why we were there. We had to wait around 15 - 20 minutes for the masseuse to show up. The voucher states that we could choose Swedish massage or hot stone massage and deep cleansing facial or nourishing hydrafacial but they didn't ask us what we wanted and just chose for us. The massage was pretty pleasant for me, although it came with some Asian auntie digs for how flimsy my muscles were for my age. My friend had another masseuse that kept stopping to chat with the owner midway. The facial was very brutal. At one point I felt the extraction tool scrap across my face. They also used toilet paper on my face at one point for a mask. The ambiance was not relaxing at all with them constantly pushing us to buy a facial package, constant chatting, and their flip flop sounds while they walked around. The funny thing was that they were trying to sell anything and everything. I was compelled to do some zapping mole removal and the lady tried to sell me protective face masks that don't stick to my skin like the typical blue face masks. The next day my friend and I had sore back and neck. Definitely won't come back again.

Yelp
I only visited Ling's Beauty Spa because I found a Pulsd (Groupon-competitor) deal. It was $45 for an hour massage, with a facial at the end. Pretty good deal, jumped at it. It was a bit difficult finding their operating hours on Yelp, Google, Facebook, etc. That's mostly on me, because I eventually called them up and they were more than helpful. I schedule my appointment more than a day in advance and all goes off without a hitch. My girlfriend and I are put into a small, cramped room for a couple's massage. That's fairly typical for a massage in Chinatown. Now, whenever I get a massage from an Asian massage space, I expect it to hurt. I want the person giving me the massage to find all the knots and dig deep into them. I will groan and grunt but at the end of the massage, I will be looser. That part was mostly accomplished. The unfortunate thing was that my masseuse either didn't quite trim her nails or didn't use enough massage oil because while working on my triceps, I felt a scratching sensation, much like a nail that's a bit too long. My girlfriend experienced something closer to gua-sha (Chinese medicinal scraping), because her back was considerably scratched up afterwards. She paid for a massage, not an overly aggressive back-scratching. The facial was a bit uncomfortable, but it was my first time and my skin isn't the best. Otherwise, it was pleasant and I was able to get a mini nap while the mask was drying. The worst part of this massage was the CONSTANT upselling! During my girlfriend's facial, she was convinced to try this procedure which would clear up her dead skin. She was goaded into doing it, and eventually me as well. That was $50 a person - which cost more than the deal I purchased. The estheticians we had said that I was a good boyfriend for bringing her in on International Women's Day. After we finished our massage, they did a little more upselling. They had a limited time promotion where I could get 10 sessions for $500. No thanks. After the rough massages and the pushy salesmanship, I had to pass. I will probably not be returning.

Yelp
I came here for a little bit of relaxation before starting my tour of New York. When I stepped in they were so welcoming and I told them I just spent the previous day travelling to NY. I got the mother's day special facial for $40 and I was there for about two hours. Diana did my facial for me and she is amazing. This was about a 90 min treatment with cleansing, extraction, moisturizing, and mask. She truly set me up for two weeks of travelling with no breakouts. If you're in NYC and need some self-care, I would highly recommend! Can't wait to go back on my next trip.

Yelp
I was skeptical of coming after buying the Pulsd $30 limited time voucher and then reading reviews. I think that everyone's experience is different... My bf got the full body massage, and I got the facial. We both had a great time and the employees were gentle to our body/face. This was our first at the salon, and my first time getting a facial in general! I didn't know what to expect or what to do. The ladies were understanding that it was my first time, and they took their time with me. Based on my experience only - she got all of my whiteheads, blackheads, pimples! They were GONE. After the facial, my face was really red throughout the rest of the day but the next day, my face was so SMOOTH! IDK What she did but my face didn't feel rough or any bumps! I usually can feel the bumps on my forehead but I didn't after the facial! I took care of my face by moisturizing daily after (you're suppose to !!! but had to point that out here) and did a moisturizing face mask 5 days later. My face has never felt like this before! The ladies up front did NOT pressure us at all about tip or the year plan... Maybe because we actually tipped well???? IDK! I felt the opposite from all the negative reviews below. I did not want to buy the 10x plan because I personally don't see myself getting 10 facials a year.. But if that's what you're into, then get it! It's a great deal. We did get asked that question but they did not pressure us (like the comments below) and they only asked once and understood that we weren't interested. For the future- she did tell me that I got the Agnes Treatment so that's what I'll be getting next time!

Yelp
Hands down the best facial massage ever!! They are amazing, can't wait to go back next month. Micky has very gentle but precise hands and on top of that she is such a sweetheart!

Yelp
Demanding $10 tips even if you do not like the service. After saying no no to extra treatment 3x, they continue to ask.. Even tho I try the $29 facial they said is regularly $68 No one will pay $68 for that basic facial. -Place was loud -not professional Waste of money in my opinion Very disappointing Just need to go back to Hong Kong for good quality facial. This is a joke.

Yelp
Ling's was amazing. Went here on a Friday morning with no reservation and was immediately taken back with Diana. I think because there was no one else there it was super serene and Diana was so gentle (even during the extractions). I'll say looking at past reviews I was a little worried about being pushed on packages but she only asked once and I was so impressed I ended up buying the 5-pack and could not be more excited to go back. I think you get great value for the experience and for someone who doesn't need the $150 facial experience, my skin has never looked better!

Yelp
I got a facial there today and it was amazing! The esthetician was super thorough and I felt really relax after the service. My appointment lasted 1.5 hours and the facial massage was amazing!!

Yelp
This place is so great and at such an affordable price! I think the bad reviews might be people expecting a luxury chain experience from a no-frills small business. This place is really a dream for the price and always getting the job done well! I do notice that sometimes the employees might be a little loud with their conversation, and a few might make a couple of blunt auntie type of comments (but that's kind of a cultural thing) but it's a small space and they are working to improve every aspect of their workplace. It's always nice and clean here, the facials always leave my skin smooth and better than ever (I totally got the $450 for ten facials package, it'd be $45 per facial and includes eyebrow work!), I like the massages (because I love strong massages lol), and I always feel mentally and physically better when I leave. The massage during my facial was ethereal as they're always thorough and rejuvenating. I think they really work to hit all the acupressure points when they massage your face and body. They were even nice and accommodating when I had to reschedule my facial and massage appointment because of work.

Yelp
This place is definitely a hole in the wall hidden gem. It looks super unassuming from the outside and even on the inside, but the ladies here really work their magic when it comes to technique. I've tried both their facial and massage here and it's hands down one of the best I've had in NYC-- especially the massage. Diana really goes in on getting all the knots untied. I love massages that are higher in pressure and muscles that I didn't even know existed were soothed in one session. I felt so relaxed after, definitely coming back! She always makes sure you're comfortable so don't be afraid to tell her to adjust the pressure according your own preference! The facial was also great, left with really soft and glowy skin. They even have a package deal that you just can't beat-- I believe it comes down to $50 something a session (not including tip). Anyways, tldr, go here pls!

Yelp
I came here for a facial because I saw they had a promotion on Pusld. The owner of the spa is kind and gentle, and the space is clean, but all of the workers here are EXTREMELY pushing about purchasing a package deal. The entire time during the treatment, they kept saying terrible things about my skin and trying to push their coupons on me because "my dry skin needed it" or else I would get an infection after the facial (why should I have to worry about getting an infection from the facial if they're doing it correctly?), even after I politely said I wasn't interested. The facial itself was ok -- nothing special though. It wasn't a relaxing experience at all because of all this pushing for me to spend more money. The woman who did my facial was incredibly rude and aggressive. I told her that I had a new nose piercing and said it still hurts, so I asked her to be gentle around it. Even after I said that, she was still extremely rough with my face and pulled on the piercing so hard that it completely came out and was bleeding. It hurt so much to put it back too. She also told my mom that her children are pretty, but they don't look like her at all... such a rude thing to say to your own paying customer.... Then, as I was leaving, she berated me for the amount of tip I gave and forced me to give more. Her attitude had completely changed after I said I didn't want to purchase a deal for more facials. They also charge extra for tax, so the Pulsd deal doesn't already cover all the costs. I thought they would be good because I saw a blogger named Viveca had recently reviewed the spa on Yelp, giving them 5 stars. I later found out that this same person also posted a tiktok recommending this spa for a facial, but through a promotional ad for Pusld -- so of course they would only say good things about the spa if they're being sponsored and paid for promoting it. Sad that my first facial experience was like this. Maybe they only act this way to other Asian customers, but safe to say I won't be returning here.

Yelp
My friend and I came here with Pulsd vouchers. They were for A massage and Hydrafacial. It's a small space, but they managed to make it work for them. The Massage was Amazing. Got those knots really good. But then I received a (what I thought was going to be a Hydrafacial), Facial. When I asked her about it, she said yes the facial will hydrate your face. Where as I described to her what a person expects when a Hydrafacial is posted as part of the service. That doesn't take away from the Quality of the facial. That was great too. Then after getting the facial, I was hammered about how dry my skin was. That it's so dry it could crack and get infected from the dirty air and should add a collagen facial that included an ultrasonic device to push the collagen in deeper. Was told this SEVERAL times. Mind you, I worked in the Beauty business so I take great care of my skin. I did end up getting it and it was very good at moisturizing my face. The Reason why I gave 3 stars is because while we were in the room the door was kept open, and while they had their lunch break (which I of course didn't mind) I began talking with my friend and one of the ladies truly said, "Stop speaking Spanish, your mask will break". Now I understand the mask breaking but Language Did not need to be mentioned. Fine. But then came checkout time. The aggressive upsell for buying a 10 pack of the "hydra facial" including the collagen facial for the low price of $450, Usually $680, but for today, JUST today, was quite honestly so off putting. Listen, I know Everyone, Especially Businesses, are going through financial hardships. But to approach a Potential recurring Client in such a Harsh Manner is really not the way to retain a Patron.

Yelp
I've been coming here for facials for a year now and it's great! I got a package of 10 which comes to around $50 per session (before tips). Great thing is the package has no expiration and I can share with my partner. You get a solid facial massage, extractions and mask - a 2 hrs session so I think it's worth the cost!

Yelp
I recently got a facial done here and while the facial was decent, the staff overall were pretty rude. I scheduled an appointment at 4 and they called me around 3:15 asking if I was coming. I was pretty confused since the lady clearly said 4, but I decided to go early since I was in the area anyways. When I got to the salon, there was clearly a mixup since they confirmed I was booked for 4 but they took me in earlier since I was there already. The lady who gave me the facial didn't speak English very well and even though I said I don't need to use any fancy facial machines that would cost extra, she still gave me the extra treatment and charged me extra EVEN THOUGH I SAID NO. I also told them I could speak Mandarin, but for whatever reason they assumed I couldn't speak Chinese at all. I paid through Venmo and they charged me 10% tax, an extra $30 even though I used the $29 Pulsd discount, and demanded $10 in tips minimum. As mentioned in other reviews, they were pretty pushy about their package deal, but just say you live far away and they won't bother you. With all that being said, there are probably other spas in Chinatown who have better business practices than these ladies at Ling's Beauty Spa.

Yelp
I visited Ling's after finding a really good deal online, and I'm glad I did. The spa is very no-frills and small, but the value cannot be beat. You definitely need to make a reservation in advance. Once I checked in it took around 20 minutes for my massage to start, I think they may have been a little short on staff. The massage room is teeny tiny but they had a heater in there to keep it warm and hooks to hang your stuff up on. It was clean. I had a male masseuse and I was pleased with the quality of the massage. Don't go expecting anything fancy! For the price it was excellent. Make sure to tip your masseuse well!

Yelp
So I bought a coupon for a facial off Pulsd and I was so excited to come here. The facial, decent and I paid an extra $60 for some pore dirt extraction device which I was like ok, take my money I'm already here. Where the stars were lost was the last 15 minutes of my check out process. The ladies here are EXTREMELY pushy to the point of discomfort and annoyance. When I went to check out, the lady explained to me their limited time offer for 10 facials of $500. I politely declined and I told them I would think about it and call them if I change my mind. Cue the next 15 minutes of them telling me how awful my skin is and how important is it to take care of your skin. My theory is if your facial is excellent and you're as confident in your technique as you say you are, people will flock back no matter how expensive your facials are. But pushy attitudes? No thank you, I will take my money elsewhere.

Yelp
I purchased a coupon for a massage and chose to get a facial as well while I was there. It's a small no-frills kind of place but very clean. The massage was good and the facial excellent. I will definitely go back.
