A small, husband-and-wife spot blending Chinese and Vietnamese comforts—pan-seared dumplings, pan-fried noodles, and banh mi. Named to Yelp’s Top 100 in the U.S. and praised by local critic Restaurant Hoppen for soulful cooking.

First time visit. Expecting the standard American Chinese dishes. I was pleasantly wrong. These dishes did not come out in a "Speed Slop" fashion. They were cooked and prepped like any Fine Chinese Dining restaurant, traditional style. The portions were more than adequate, to say the least, but the flavors were heavenly. Savory and subtle to the pallet without being drowned it it's own sauce. The Chicken Lo Mein was 5 stars. The shrimp dumplings left me wanting more. The fried rice is always a favorite of mine, but Ling's fried rice surpassed them all. Flavor, large prices of meat so you could actually savor the tenderness, and the combination fried rice was all of that and more. LING'S just made it to my top two favorite Asian Cusine restaurants in Omaha. The staff was a pleasure, and they were very busy on Mother's Day for the evening carry out.

It was my first time coming here with a friend today. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere, and although there aren’t many tables, almost all of them were taken. We were lucky to get a table just as someone was leaving. I ordered the Vietnamese noodles, and the flavor was very authentic . Even though the server was quite busy, she was still very friendly and came over to check if we needed anything else, which was very thoughtful. Overall, it was a great experience, and I’ll definitely come back again!

Google
Ordered carry-out from here for the first time. The (pork) dumplings were so so good, especially with the dipping sauce it comes with!! I also ordered the Bahn Mi which was just as delicious. The pork in it had amazing, rich flavor. Not to mention, the server, Hannah, was so kind and welcoming.

Google
Delicious curry and very nice staff! Will come again sometime. 2023 Update: still amazing food, I've almost tried everything on the menu! The Crab Rangoons are the best I've ever had and the other appetizers are just as good too! The dishes are simple but taste so good! Still love the staff too, they treat customers like family. 2024: They seem to be doing well and have uniforms now and new menu items!!

Google
I love this place! Great variety of different types of tasty Asian dishes and all of them taste great! Fantastic customer service every time I come here, and my takeout orders have always been ready and fresh When I pick them up. The last time I came in here I got the beef with Rice Noodles, and let me tell you what it was incredible! The spring rolls are amazing, the crab Rangoons are fantastic! Tried the drunken noodles here and it was very flavorful. I’ve had the Mapo tofu here too and I was not at all disappointed, definitely will be back to try more!

Google
Sweet little spot!! Fast and courteous pickup. Next time, I wanna eat in the cozy dining area and soak up the peaceful ambiance. With our take-out, the dumplings were creatively presented, and the fried rice was some of the best I've had. I had the triple delight, and the shrimp, chicken, and beef were seasoned perfectly. It's obvious they put their heart and soul into the food they prepare. Update 8-2-2024...dined there for dinner. Had the drunkin noodles, dumplings, and sesame chicken. Unbelievable flavor and freshness. Ling's is my new favorite Asian cuisine hub. Update 11-14-2024.....their chicken wings are insane!!!

Google
I'm honestly shocked this place has such good reviews. Ordered take out tonight that took almost double the time they said it would only to get home and have the food be awful. Everything that should have been crispy was just a smooshy, inedible mess. Definitely not worth the wait or the price.

Google
I came here to try the grilled pork chop. It was quite good. As a Vietnamese I tried so many grilled pork chop dish and not a lot of place around omaha can impress me. Its not the best because I had better. Its good enough for you to eat and just enjoy the moment. They tried to do multi asian dishes and that's a hard job to manage given that most restaurants are focus only on certain ethnicity when it comes to food. The staff is very friendly and that's how you do business with customers. Also I really enjoy the environment. Its not stuffy even though there are a lot of decors. Everything is very clean and well manage! I don't know how good other dishes are but I definitely coming back to taste them all!

Yelp
Another first time adventure. Shrimp Dumplings app for me. Hot tea drink. Drunken Noodles also. Nice and quiet and comfortable warm during outdoors cold we are having. Winter days. Very good choice for lunch.

Yelp
I used to be a regular with the old owner. But this time, I was very disappointed in the quality of the food. Under the new owner, the quality of the food has gone down. I had the fresh spring rolls and the vermicelli noodles with pork. The spring rolls had very little taste. Not the same as before. When the noodles arrived, I went to stir it and it was just a big solid block of noodles. It's like someone prepped portions of noodles but then instead of heating them up to separate them, they microwaved the block and threw it into the bowl. Also, the veggies were basically lettuce. I didn't taste mint or sprouts. The service was great so no problem with that. A guy did walk in with his dog. I didn't appreciate that and if I had known the place allows dogs, I wouldn't have eaten there. I won't be back, which is sad.

Yelp
Constantly great Asian food. Basil chicken is fantastic and the Bahn Mi is my favorite sandwich in all of Omaha.

Diana T.

Yelp
I placed an order for Pad Thai and I've never been so confused and disappointed with a meal before. It had mushrooms, zucchini, peppers, onions, and broccoli. Not to mention it tasted sweet and sour. It seemed like they just threw all their left over veggies and said "here you go!" I expected more with the rating being as high as they are. Never again.

Yelp
Ling's is a wonderful neighborhood Asian restaurant with authentic decor. They have excellent menu choices and their food is terrific! The hot and sour soup is flavorful, as well as the pho and General's chicken. Entrée prices are fair with larger than average portion sizes. Service was quick and friendly, and this is one of our favorite Asian restaurants of all times!

Yelp
Great service, food is good but I wish they would stick to one Asian cuisine and concentrate on that. I think they would do great !

Yelp
Hidden gem! I have heard great things, and this Asian cuisine did not disappoint! I'm already looking forward to going back! The service and ambiance are lovely. Many of the other customers were regulars and came often for lunch! I had the drunken noodles and asked them to make it spicy!

Yelp
Ling's is definitely my favorite spot for Asian cuisine in all of Omaha. As far as the service goes, the wait staff were very friendly and helpful. The food comes out quickly. The restaurant is fairly small inside, so I could hear the waiter's conversations with the other tables. Him and the other customers had great rapport and were joking around. It's kind of a great place to people watch and observe the joy of human behaviors, if you really think about it. For ambiance, the decorations in this place are super cute. Personally, I am a huge fan of the fun, eclectic decor. They also had a video of different fish in an aquarium playing on the tv. That was super fun to watch. Of course, I must mention the food at this point. It's amazing! The portion sizes are very generous for the price point. My boyfriend and I went, ordering the pho and orange chicken, respectively. Each entree was $15 and we took home leftovers for days. The pho smelled absolutely delightful. My boyfriend's only wish was that there was a little more meat in it (however, he is a big meat fan so the average person may find it has an adequate amount). The orange chicken had a noticeable citrus flavor, which is refreshing compared to other restaurants' take on orange chicken. The green peppers served with the orange chicken added a nice spice, too. Overall, great food and great dining experience. I 100% recommend Ling's to anyone looking for a new spot to try.

Yelp
First time getting takeout from Ling's. Tried two dishes, Mongolian Beef and Lemongrass Chicken. The chicken was superb. Just the right amount of spice. Very flavorful. I have never said this about a Mongolian Beef dish before, but it needed more onions. Almost always they are trying to stretch the beef by adding too many onions, but not so this time. Had the hot pepper oil on the side which was a good thing. Added a few drops and they had a lot of zing. Rice was nice and fluffy, not undercooked. A couple of Godiva chocolates were a nice touch. Overall 4 1/2 stars, rounding up for the friendliness and convenience. Will return.

Yelp
It was a gloomy day and we decided on something quick and close -- Ling's. It was easy to place our order online and we had a 30 minute window before pick-up. I arrived about 20 minutes in, which maybe made the subsequent wait feel even longer, but there was definitely an air of semi-frenzy going on. That said, the food was delicious so it was worth the little extra wait. We were all appetizers all the time this order -- eggrolls - one order is two skinny rolls that were hot, fresh and yummy. -- crab rangoon - again, fresh and delicious and sooo overstuffed! -- chicken lettuce wraps - these are a favorite of my husband's when we eat at that chain restaurant with the Asian horses out front ... He liked these even better! And the order is so large, he had more than enough for dinner and leftovers for lunch. And finally, Banh Mi. Listed as an appetizer, but such a great dinner! Plenty of tender meat, cut in such a way that you get a mouthful in every bite and it's never tough or messy. Loads of pickled veggies and slices of the worlds biggest jalapenos! Sundays can be frantic whether cooking at home or carrying out, and when the food is this good, it's worth the wait.

Yelp
Great place worth notice. Portions are big but not crazy. A really good value. Great for take out or dine in. Very interesting menu, like an Asian greatest hits. Be adventurous. Good people that clearly care about the food they make for you. Take your smile in there and enjoy.

Allan H.

Yelp
I absolutely LOVE Ling's! The food is always hot, fresh and delicious! The friendliness of the staff is so delightful and accommodating ! After all of that we get a free soup to make this place a slam dunk out of the park best Chinese cuisine there is!
google avatar

Yelp
Ling's is a great local spot for Asian cuisine. It is small inside, but very nice and clean. The staff are very friendly and quick to get orders and your food to you! The menu is small, but that's how you know the food will be excellent. I've had the Bahn Mi and hot soup (I can't recall the name) and both were so good! One of my favorite places for Asian food.

Yelp
One of my favorite restaurants in my area. They have Chinese, Vietnamese, and Thai dishes. Their pho is really good and always comes out really hot. The broth is delicious and perfect on cold and rainy days. They also make really good Banh mi (Vietnamese Sandwiches). I also love their Thai basil chicken, Red Curry chicken, and General chicken. For appetizers my favorites are the fresh spring rolls with peanut sauce, fried wings, fried calamari, and shrimp dumplings. If Im in the mood for noodles, I usually get the pad thai or the drunken noodles. My wife loves the lo mein. They also make really good teas and smoothies. Just recently I enjoyed the taro smoothie and the iced green tea. I like how its not too sweet but just right. The customer service is excellent. The servers always welcome me with a warm greeting, seat me right away, and take my order promptly. I never feel rushed and never once were they rude to me. The food is consistently good which is why I eat here frequently. Their prices are also pretty reasonable for the quality and amount of food you're getting. They don't skimp. I usually have enough food left over afterwards to take home. I not only recommend this place to my friends, but people at my gym and where I work have also recommended this place to me. Give this place a try!

Yelp
Have to update my review. Unfortunately we returned and tried more dishes. None of them "held" up and were that great. So overall the only really outstanding dish here from two visits is the Taiwanese Beef Noddle Soup. Everything else was very subpar.

Yelp
Darn good pho, good service, fast, and generally pleasant atmosphere. Will def be coming back

Yelp
Me and my dad came here on Saturday and both ordered the beef Pho. it was very delicious. our food came fast and hot. She was very attentive to us and asked if we were okay. Its a small but very good place. definitely recommend

Yelp
Delicious hole in the wall! Inside are a few tables with eccentric decor. Lots of people were coming in for take out while we ate. The food is delicious! We had the shrimp dumplings, papaya salad, beef Pho, and combination drunken noodles. The papaya salad was tangy from the fish sauce, spicy, and fresh with cilantro. The beef Pho came in a hearty bowl, and the drunken noodles portion was generous. We will be back!

Yelp
Great service, affordable, and the food is DELECTABLE. - Sesame chicken - 4/5 - Spring rolls - 3.5/5
google avatar

Tim S.

Yelp
I got the vermicelli with grilled pork. The meal was decent, I admittedly ate the whole thing. To be fair to the owners and cooks, the restaurant was clean, the place smelled delicious and many customers were arriving eagerly moments after it opened. My meal was not something I'd order again, although I generally like the dish. Maybe next time I'll have to try my luck with another selection. My hunt for terrific, five star Vietnamese cuisine continues...

Yelp
Delicious food, always hits the spot for what I am craving. And reasonably priced! The staff are always friendly as well.
google avatar

Dan S.

Yelp
Had a great experience at Ling's. I tried the Bun bo Hue, Pork Vermicelli and the Summer Rolls. Both the entrees were reasonably prices (~$10-11) and the portions were huge. Service was also great which I always enjoy.
google avatar

Christine H.

Yelp
In the mood for pho, we decided to give Ling's a try. We ordered takeout on a Friday and I was pleasantly surprised by the ease and efficiency of their online ordering system. We tried a bit of everything - spring rolls, pork dumplings, pho, sesame chicken, fried rice and pad Thai. In addition, the owners threw in a couple containers of hot & sour soup and dessert. I initially thought we were grabbing an incorrect order, but I was assured the owner likes to let people sample other items and I was blown away by the generosity and thoughtfulness. Needless to say, we enjoyed several additional meals due to the added items! The flavor and quality of the food was excellent. And the prices were very reasonable. The restaurant is small, I believe they only had 4 tables, but this is an amazing option for dine in or take out!
google avatar

Michael L.

Yelp
Good food and very friendly staff. They were open during the snow storm which was nice we didn't want to cook!!
google avatar

Lily H.

Yelp
Can't say enough good things about Lings. Genuinely good food and the owner is the sweetest. I am a creature of habit and tend to order the same 2 things and they immediately know it's us. My husband has tried everything on the menu and has loved it all. They usually I close extras and we will forever be customers.
google avatar

David Y.

Yelp
I went back to Ling's and had a better experience than my first time. I would say that the crispy chicken has improved quite a bit since I first went there (crispier chunks of chicken, good sauce ratio) and the Basil chicken/lemongrass chicken were both great. The chow mein was decent (though the noodles were a bit thicker, more like a bird nest vietnamese chicken dish vs. traditional HK style noodles). The flavors were all solid. One thing that we did that helped was we asked for extra noodles on the side, since the toppings to noodle ratio isn't the best. Overall, Lings does many dishes decently well and is one of the better West Omaha Asian options. It has a very wide spread for menu items- while I usually think these types of restaurants are not very good, Ling's is able to do Pad Thai, vietnamese dishes, and chinese dishes well.

Ron M.

Yelp
I highly recommend Ling's Asian Restaurant. Ling's is the place we always order our Asian food. The food is exceptional and the service is great. You can't go wrong if you place your next order with Ling's Asian Restaurant.

Yelp
Stopped in tonight after Ordering a banh mi online. Service was fast and friendly. Food was delicious, the banh mi is served on a toasted baguette, pulled pork was seasoned perfectly and ingredients were fresh and crisp. This was my first banh mi so I have nothing to compare it to. Will definitely be back to try other menu items and would definitely a banh mi again. We moved out west 4 years ago and I pass Ling's almost every day and never stopped in. Glad I decided to make the stop and see what I have been missing out on.

Cassie L.

Yelp
It WAS the one of the best Chinese food in Omaha until new owners took over. What the heck happened to the chicken??? Whatever it is... It's fatty, globby, gross and disgusting! I couldn't even eat it - it was that unpleasant. Such a waste. We were loyal customers and good friends for many years with Kim the previous owner, but unfortunately moving on... It's currently not what we were accustomed to... Maybe we'll try again sometime down the road, but based on the last few meals we're done. Even the non-picky eater in the household agreed. Menu hasn't changed/revamped with new owners as I thought was originally planned. Using frozen chicken for the General's Chicken and Sweet & Sour Chicken possibly other dishes also. Confirmed by very reliable source. Tons of thick batter... Has the potential for great food, using that amazing wok that produces the potential for that sensational like no other to die for umami smell and taste. But one has to have the ability to really use the wok to it's full potential to put out a dish with bonus flavor...

Yelp
The drunken noodles did not disappoint. It was good! Try this small restaurant. The food was good.0

Yelp
Amazing place! I can't believe I've been in the area for over a year and just found it. Looking for good Pho, found it. Great service, huge portions so I went back for a second try. Fantastic dine in experience! It's definitely on my be-back bus list!!

Topaz W.

Yelp
I'm always skeptical of restaurants that offer a large variety of cuisines, because it's hard to master ONE cuisine, much less multiple. Ling's, however, definitely delivers. I've had most of their offerings, and they're all delicious. You honestly can't go wrong, and the portions are very generous. The owner was our server and is the SWEETEST lady ever. I think it's always a good sign when the owner is involved with the restaurant because it shows they're familiar and invested in day-to-day operations.
google avatar

Johnny M.

Yelp
They have the most amazing dishes. By far my favorite Asian restaurant in Omaha. Me and my wife partake once a week.
google avatar

Eric O.

Yelp
My wife and I have eaten several times at least over the last 3 to 6 months. We first discovered this after restaurants started reopening, and have gone back several times. The food is awesome, and the atmosphere is inviting. I personally have found the peanut butter chicken to be best so I get that most often, but my wife likes to experiment and try different things. The menu is large and this is definitely a good restaurant to try for Chinese food lovers.
google avatar

Bev C.

Yelp
This is a great place for 1) customer service--prompt and very friendly, accurate service 2) Pad Thai-we had the chicken and shrimp and it was bursting with flavor 3) Sesame chicken-amazing and fresh ingredients 4) portions-always some left over even after 2 of us eat! 5) condiments-you won't have to ask or worry if you have soy, sweet and sour or whatever compliments the dish. I appreciate how they do all the above with quality.
google avatar

Jennifer M.

Yelp
Such good food and the owners are the best. We always get a correct carry out order and it's hot and delicious.
google avatar

James K.

Yelp
Service and food is good. We have ordered takeout many times and has been excellent.

Don N.

Yelp
We had spring rolls, pad Thai and drunken noodles. Spring rolls were tough and very chewy. Stored in fridge too long? Drunken noodles were undercooked and lacking flavor. Pad Thai was so so. Service was excellent. Music was inappropriate for Asian restaurants. Funky decor. We won't return.

Taylor L.

Yelp
Very friendly woman immediately welcomed me in from the cold and gave me a big cup of hot tea with my menu. Fantastic food and generous portions, when I asked for a to go box I was even given an additional serving of white rice. The restaurant was a bit small but very cozy and homey!
google avatar

Megan M.

Yelp
Our server was so sweet and helpful! Check out the fried dumplings and drunken noodles - so good. The Pad Thai is a little different than traditional but still very good!

Dennis M.

Yelp
We haven't been back since Ling's changed ownership but can say this is a gem in a strip mall. Very friendly service, portions are very large. The Bahn Mi is a must every time we go. I also like the pad Thai w tofu and chicken. Not much to look at inside but great for takeout.

Nancy D.

Yelp
Good food and service. They have Hard to find fresh spring rolls. Decent pad Thai, really good peanut butter chicken, also good basil chicken.

Yan H.

Yelp
Amazing foods. We love the chicken. It was so delicious. The beef was great We will come often

Kelcey S.

Yelp
The food was great! My husband had the Jam pong soup. The portion was huge! We were able to split the leftovers the next day. The service was also amazing. The woman who served us was so sweet! Can't wait to go back again!!!
google avatar

Heather L.

Yelp
I went in for a banh mi and Vietnamese iced coffee. Their version is amazing. The bread is awesome and the meat is the star!! Juicy and tender. The veggies are perfectly crisp and add such a nice balance. The Vietnamese coffee is wonderfully strong. They will sweeten it to your liking which is nice!
google avatar

Vicki P.

Yelp
Consistency excellent food. We often order chicken dishes and the meat is always high quality. Flavor is on point. I would expect the pad Thai to be as good as it it. Lots a chicken and shrimp. They also have the best hot and sour soup!!

Jacob S.

Yelp
The food was really good, although the place was busy they served us really good, the paintings on the walls are very unique to say the least.

Ray F.

Yelp
Ling's is one of the few Asian restaurants in West Omaha that has high quality food, great service and reasonable prices. It is our favorite take out restaurant when we are craving Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles or more traditional Chinese dishes. We always get a lot of food in our orders and the wait staff is always very gracious and kind. Very highly recommend to anyone tired of P@nda Express!
google avatar

Maddy G.

Yelp
Wow- I was so impressed! I know we will be back to have more of the hearty broth in the Bun bo Hue. The pork vermicelli and fresh shrimp summer rolls with peanut sauce were excellent as well!
