Google
Was in Omaha for the College World Series we found Lisa’ Radical Cafe for Sunday morning breakfast after attending church at St. Cecilia. Googled up breakfast places and found Lisa’s was around the corner. Had great reviews and seemed to be a locals place. So we head over. Had a small wait but for a good meal I don’t mind waiting. The atmosphere here really confirmed that we were in a locals place and I loved it. Our service was first class and the food was outstanding. Some can say how hard is it to screw up breakfast. Well I can say it easier than you think. But that was not the case at Lisa’s. I was on a breakfast sandwich kick and this one did not disappoint. It featured scrambled eggs homemade sausage American cheese served on a croissant. Wow it hit the spot. My friend had the peach stuffed French toast. I did not get a taste of this one I was afraid to reach across the table for fear of losing a finger. He was enjoying it just that much. Now those hash browns on my plate look like something simple to prepare. But it is hard to get the crispy just right. These were right one the spot. So good. Thank Lisa’s for such a great meal to a visitor for the annual event that consumes Omaha each summer. I plan to return to Omaha for the CWS even if my team is not in the show. We met some great locals, had some great meals, enjoyed the hospitality that Omaha and its residents and police officers showed us. If you’re in Omaha do not miss a meal at Lisa’s Radical Cafe.

Google
We have always enjoyed this place, but I've never left a review. We used to live a few blocks away but now try to visit when we're in town. Bonus - I appreciated that there was a non-pork breakfast option (turkey sausage). Our waitress was Lisa (not THE Lisa) - my dad knows her. Super friendly and excellent service. Generous portions. Definitely a more traditional café vibe. The second photo is stuffed French toast.

Google
Great spot for breakfast. 30 minute wait so walked next door to look at the bakery and then over to Amature Coffee. Lisa's host was friendly, our waitress was very pleasant. Reuse of old building with some culture. Stuffed French toast and "Radial Raft" was DELICIOUS! Decent prices, great spot.

Google
One of THE best places for breakfast in town! I absolutely love coming here ....so much so they know my favorite table! The staff is super friendly and the atmosphere is great for a cozy spot or a family breakfast.

Google
Love this little diner! Super friendly staff! The cinnamon roll pancakes are to die for! This visit I had an excellent parmesean crusted turkey sandwich and yummy sweet potato fries!

Google
My Dad and I stopped in for breakfast during the heat wave of summer 2024. We had a good breakfast before resting for the remainder of the day. I enjoyed a chicken fried steak and eggs meal. The portions are HUGE! The coffee is hot and always ready to be poured. This is a perfect neighborhood cafe!

Google
5/5 place, service is ALWAYS lovely. The ambiance is quiet, homey and warm. And the food has NEVER let me down, fixes my jetlag every time I drop by for some eggs and hashbrowns. The portions are big and you get such a bang for your buck, I always recommend eating here. Gotta mention I'm from outta state and my trip's never complete till I eat here.

Google
I heard about this place for a long time and finally planned to go for a breakfast. Food was delicious, atmosphere was great and their service was top notch. Would love to go there and eat again.

Yelp
Yum! We waited way too long to try this place because we always see people waiting outside. We hung out at Amateur Coffee around the corner while we waited, it only took about 20 minutes for 2 of us. Let me tell you, the wait was well worth it! The ambiance is perfect- a well-loved, no frills diner. The service was fast and helpful, the food came out quick and was GREAT! I got the Radial Raft and it was so delish- the gravy specifically was really good. My boyfriend got the chicken fried steak and he really enjoyed it as well. The best part? The food was so well priced, it was definitely a steal! We will 100% be back, regardless of the wait!!

Yelp
Lisa's is the place you take your friends from out of town! It's is SO DANG GOOD! They always have the best specials, like a stuffed French toast (today's was mixed berry). The Radial Breakfast Sandwich is always phenomenal! I usually go for the croissant or sourdough bread and the turkey sausage! All of their omelettes are bomb, honestly all of the food is great, but these 3 things I listed are always perfect! The service is always so amazing, Ellie is always a great waitress when we come through! It's a very cute diner, plenty of seating and there's not a bad seat in the house! 5 stars for Lisa's, always!

Yelp
What can I say besides absolute champ! My sister and I chose this place first to eat in Omaha and we were not disappointed at all. I ordered the titanic pictured and my sister ordered the apple stuffed French toast. The titanic was exactly that, large and basically took me to the bottom of the ocean, smiling. A solid piece of country fried steak, 2 eggs, 2 biscuits, healthy hash browns and smothered in country gravy. How could that go wrong? The French toast was so good too, it was made perfectly and I wish I got a pic of it. The service was excellent and it had a homely and pleasant diner feel to it. I was very happy and my belly was full. I would go here again in a heartbeat. I hope to go here again next year when my daughter graduates from college. A hui hou Lisa's!

Yelp
Loved the food here! We got the stuffed french toast, chicken fried steak, and the pancake. Country fried steak was cooked perfectly and gravy super flavorful! Do yourself a favor and don't skip out on the stuffed French toast! Service was excellent, definitely that local feel.
google avatar

Yelp
Brunch was delicious! It's not fancy, but my omelet & hashbrowns were perfectly cooked. Our waitress could not have been more helpful and attentive. I completely understand why my son said it's his favorite place from breakfast.

Yelp
I've loved Lisa's for years now and it's always a novelty coming here. Please note that you will more than likely have a very long wait (I've always had a 45-minute to hour wait). Most people wait outside but there is an interior space to wait in the winter. The food is pretty good and a perfect place for your basic breakfast favorites. they always have unique specials that really stand out from other brunch spots and something that you can't find on a typical menu. On my most recent visit, I got The Works which is your basic eggs, meat, hash browns, and toast dish so it's hard to mess up and it was great! My guest got the special, the monte cristo, and they loved their sandwich. However, I really wanted a BLT as we went around lunch but they do not serve the lunch menu on Sundays. Not a big deal at all - just something to note! I love the coziness of the place and if you are lucky enough to get the booth spots by the window on a snowy or rainy day then make sure you romantize every bit of that experience. It's my favorite! The staff is always super nice and attentive - you'll never have an empty cup of coffee! Please note that if you want a boozy brunch to start your weekend, Lisa's doesn't serve alcohol! Overall, Lisa's is a solid breakfast spot!

Yelp
I really enjoyed this breakfast! I had the Carmel apple stuffed French toast, which was a special item for the day. The French toast was light and the apple stuffing was homemade. My sister had a skillet that I was able to get a taste of, so yummy! The meal was great and the staff are so nice. I will definitely be coming back.

Yelp
Was looking for a place to grab breakfast and saw a lot of great reviews about Lisa's Radial Cafe. Browsing through the menu and one item caught my attention which I haven't had in a long minute and it happened to be under Radial Specialties...the Chicken Fried Steak! Chicken fried steak - 5/5 for me! Perfect breading, cook, and flavor across the board! Portions in Nebraska can be overwhelming so I was happy to see it was a manageable plate. The white sausage gravy was also on point! Would recommend everyone visit Lisa's Radial Cafe, but would recommend making a reservation, if possible, or get your name on the list because it's a pretty popular place and can bring a long wait time.

Yelp
This place always takes my breath away. The ultimate greasy spoon diner always has an amazing array of menu items such as stuffed French toast to Monte Cristo sandwiches. I was lucky enough to get the Carmel Apple French toast and it did not disappoint. Every bite was delicious from start to finish, I almost licked the plate!! If you happen to be in town and need a bite, belly up to the diner counter and order a chicken fried steak. I was able to try a bite from a family member I went with and GOODNESS it's delicious!! The waitstaff was amazing, as always, and made sure we were all taken care of!!

Yelp
Came here for the first time on my birthday for breakfast. I had been meaning to come here for a long time. We were greeted very quickly when we entered and were taken to a table. We made sure to get there early as we heard that tables fill up fast. It was a Saturday morning around 9AM and we noticed that many people kept coming in after us. And for good reason! I tried their specialty French toast which was caramel apple. It also had these cream cheese filling, some powdered sugar, and whipped cream. It was so good! I also got a side of bacon which was very crispy and flavorful. My fiancé got the Radial Raft which he was very happy with. It feels very comforting inside with artwork, specials on a chalkboard, just a good welcoming homey feel. The prices are so reasonable and I will definitely be back!!!

Yelp
Great old fashioned meals. Let me be this place! There is usually a wait but it's worth it.
google avatar

Daniel D.

Yelp
Don't go on sunday around religious services. Wait was about 20 minutes. Ordered the special blueberry french toast, coffee with sides of eggs and bacon. Eggs seemed a bit undercooked both mine and my partner. Hers actually upset her stomach within a few hours. Sitting is tight. Host was pleasant and so was the waitress. Mens bathroom just gross not to mention don't look up at vents, ceiling etc. Will I go again? Sadly no, not worth the drive but was good to see a local spot.

Yelp
Lisa's is an omaha institution I have never been to until recently. It is so cute on the inside and tucked in a little pocket of Omaha next to a beautiful cathedral. The service is typical messy diner service but everything worked out. Everyone enjoyed their food. The hash was great. Serving sizes were generous. I wish the croissant was a bit fresher.
google avatar

Howard K.

Yelp
Great breakfast food with a wonderful wait staff to serve you! If you are craving a good old diner experience go to Lisa's Radial Cafe!
google avatar

Tisha B.

Yelp
This is a little place that has all the character of an old school dinner. The food is just good old fashioned Americana . Coffee is hot and on point service, and as any good cafe has a hostess that is full of charisma. A good place to stop in and take in the atmosphere!!!
google avatar

Michelle M.

Yelp
We discovered this little breakfast/lunch spot last time we were in Omaha and decided it is a must-go every time we are up here! This is not a fancy place, but the service is good and the food is to die for! Basically it is your quintessential hole-in-the-wall diner. This time I was here with my daughter and her friend. They both ordered the stuffed French toast with a side of bacon. I ordered the combo--french toast with one egg and bacon. Everything was cooked to perfection and we cleaned our plates (though we probably shouldn't have! It was too delicious to stop!)
google avatar

M M.

Yelp
The food is excellent, so that's a win. The service leaves much to be desired, probably partially because they are so busy, but a lesson in courtesy would be well placed with the man at the door who we witnessed speak to several patrons in an unprofessional tone. The place is packed each time we visit. The interior could use some love, but with the tempo at which they seem to operate, I'm sure it would be a challenge to find the time.
google avatar

Yelp
Classic diner vibes. You know the food is gonna be good when holes in the seat are latched with duct tape and there's people waiting out front. Don't worry, they move tables fast so the wait is never that long. Been here dozens of times, and the staff and food are always very consistent.
google avatar

Jeff P.

Yelp
This is a proper, 'joint'. Cool vibes, friendly people, both customers and staff. Food is amazing
google avatar

Brihanna Marie F.

Yelp
I waited over time!!! It's was cold outside and we were just waiting inside and then this guy that works there told me and my sister to get out. He has beard and a mustache and has long hair.

Yelp
I am currently writing this review as I am in a food coma from this delicious place! I visited Lisa's after not having been in a long time and am super happy that I came! The wait on weekends can be pretty long. We waited about 1 hour for a table of 4 on a Sunday, which was expected. They have a small seating area on the inside but that can be pretty crowded. Luckily, the weather was beautiful and we spent some time outside waiting. Once we were seated, we got our orders in and received our food very fast! The food is absolutely delicious- this has to be one of my favorite breakfast places in Omaha. I got the sausage breakfast skillet and a side of pancakes. The portions are very generous and the price is great! The staff are also so so warm and kind. I genuinely had such a wonderful time here and it was totally worth the wait! If you haven't tried Lisa's yet, I definitely recommend you try! I for sure plan on coming back more!

Yelp
If you are looking for a sprig of parsley or oliveoil drizzle on your plate, this isn't for you. If you are looking for great comfort foods at fair prices and generous quantities, head on over. Awesome local type restaurant, in fact ran in to some local friends that we weren't expecting....and we were visiting from Seattle.
google avatar

Trevor J.

Yelp
The food, every time we ate there was always on point. The service made you feel warm and inviting. The ambiance was out of a museum and hole in the wall feeling. Don't let the shabby chic decor throw you. This is a true gem as a restaurant, one may even say... a "landmark". The price vs portion is way in favor of portion. The portion vs flavor, cooked well The flavor is there and cooked to perfection. This place, I HIGHLY Recommend. Well done! I will be recommending to all my Social Media Followers.

Yelp
It's easy to see why this is a crowd favorite. They have a generally medium size menu with decent pricing and large portions. We came here as a group on Friday and they were able to fit in all of us in. Service was really relaxed and friendly. I ordered the titanic which came with eggs, chicken fried chicken, and biscuits/gravy over a bed of hash browns. This is the thing gastronomic dreams are made of! The dish was filling with enough to take home. I believe it was only $12ish? Either way, you're fretting a lot of food! Make sure to come early because it fills up quickly- great neighborhood breakfast place!
google avatar

Pam V.

Yelp
Quick service our first visit, but not our second, we waited about 40 minutes for our food. Food is good, not too pricey and normal breakfast items that are tasty. We're from California, I'm not sure we would go back after how long we'd waited the 2nd visit. It was crowded but other people who sat down after us got their food first and we didn't order anything complicated.

Yelp
if you want to be taken care of, made right at home with not only the hospitality but that good home cookin then THIS. IS. YOUR. PLACE. and if you don't want that then this still is your place I can't rave enough about this little slice of heaven i experienced. You're surrounded by wholesomeness from the interior to the staff to the food. I will be here as much as I can working my way through their delicious and insanely reasonable menu. Omaha Dime right here!

Yelp
Best cooking in the land . .. . . bar none ! Have never left hungry - and I've been coming here for years!

Yelp
I will always love Lisa's. I don't care how long the wait is for a table or if the kitchen is behind. The staff are top-notch and attentive. This place has real personality and is known for its homey feel. They will correct any mistakes made and make sure you leave happy. The food is delicious and exactly what you'll expect from reading the menu. The absolute best priced brunch in town. Large portions and plenty of hot coffee. Just make sure to show up early to put your name in on the weekends. I have been eating at Lisa's for 10 years and have never complained. You will always be greeted with a smiling face and an honest wait time.

Yelp
I was looking forward to trying Lisa's Radial Cafe, but we found ourselves really disappointed. The place desperately needs a good cleaning. Ceiling fans and vents are filthy. If they turn on the fans you'd see clumps of dust go flying off of them. The place looked quite dingy. We set aside that impression, and was looking forward to a yummy breakfast, but was pretty disappointed with that as well. I had the chicken fried steak, and found it to be rather bland, and tough due to heavy coating and abit over fried/cooked. The bacon was also QUITE over done. He had a denver omelet and pancakes. The omelet was 'dry' and the cinnamon roll pancakes were rather bland as well. It was nice to try but we both agreed it was pretty disappointing and won't be back. No clue as to why folks think this place is great. We didn't experience that. Our waitress was friendly and nice however.

Yelp
The feel of family! It is a place that has clearly been around for years. The food is comforting and the well proportioned and prices are fair! The staff is attentive and welcoming! Went for lunch and breakfast!!!
google avatar

Laura S.

Yelp
Really good, classic diner. Busy, but still good service. Some of my friends went back the next day because they liked it so much and wanted to try more of the menu.
google avatar

John O.

Yelp
Great breakfast food. Early is better but worth the wait for great food. Service is top notch. They want to get you in and out but not hurrying up. Reminds you of an old road cafe.

Cecylia J.

Yelp
Went for a late breakfast with my boyfriend after running some morning errands after church. Kitchen was busy and the place was popping, but they had room for us at the bar to grab a cup of coffee, some good conversations, and some FABULOUS breakfast to go so that we could go back home to our puppy. The service was top notch and the place was incredibly clean. The type of place you can bring friends, grandparents, or children. 10/10 recommend!!
google avatar

John K.

Yelp
The charm of this place goes a long way when it comes to the experience of Breakfast. The building is very unique and I hope the never upgrade the interior as the vibe for a weekend breakfast is perfect. The menu is as expected for a cafe. Service is exceptional and the food is flavorful, plentiful and will leave here very ful :) Anyway, check this place out because these little gems are always more fun and 1000x more interesting than the chain brand name restaurants!
google avatar

Angela C.

Yelp
Besides the wait the food was amazing and so was the service! When we told the waitress we were splitting the skillet she said we can have our own eggs cooked the way we wanted them. :) the stuffed French toast was also delicious!
google avatar

Abigail W.

Yelp
The best breakfast place in Omaha by FAR. So cozy and welcoming. I love the atmosphere and it's fun to go in and see everyone enjoying their food :) I usually get the pancakes - they're HUGE. But this time I got an omelette w hash browns. They were so good, I just love everything on this menu. They always have fun stuffed toast and different specialties. The hot chocolate is another a favorite of mine! The staff is always SO nice just 10/10 overall BONUS: they take card now!
google avatar

Beth T.

Yelp
A good solid breakfast - great coffee, great service! It would get a 5 stars except the booth, by the front door, was sunken in and I had to sit on the outside edge to be comfortable. They definitely need to invest or maintain the booth seating and freshen up the interior space with paint/repair/general maintenance. Hard to find parking during busy times, plan ahead!
google avatar

Mandy C.

Yelp
We LOVED our visit to Lisa's Radial Cafe. We were visiting from St. Paul and there just isn't any place like this left in our city. Breakfast was so fantastic and so inexpensive which is I'm sure appreciated by many. Our waiter Luis was the best! We had a perfect meal! My boyfriend had Pancakes and Bacon and I had a veggie omelet. We enjoyed everything and even the other patrons were charming. Two Enthusiastic Thumbs up and 5 stars all the way!

Yelp
It snowed a lot overnight, and we decided not to work today, so we were looking for a breakfast place to enjoy. We've never been here and found it by chance, so why not try a little whole in the wall locally owned diner... The Good: We were warmly greeted and seated! Looking over the menu, we found lots of delicious options, and it was quite a chore to just pick one meal instead of ordering one of each of the yummy items on the menu. The waitress was very pleasant and assisted us in our choices. After ordering, the cook came out to clarify a couple of things on how we would like our meal prepared. It was refreshing to see them care like that. It didn't stop there with amazing service... Our breakfast items came, and after we had a few bites, the cook came back out to make sure our breakfast was perfect, which it absolutely was!!! This place made it to the very top of our restaurant choices! The Bad: I've been contemplating on what to write in this section, and I am happy to report that I am unable to find any kind of downside to the wonderfully run establishment!!! The Ugly Truth: Been here once, and you'll try to find reasons to come back as often as possible. Between the oh so very delicious food and warm, friendly, and welcoming service, this place truly knows how to care for their customers and make sure that the patrons return often. If you are within a day's drive, then you will want to make sure to set your GPS to Lisa's Radial Café. Enjoy great food and happy staff!!!
google avatar

Rachel B.

Yelp
This place gets a lot of hype but it just didn't do it for me. Needs a deep cleaning really bad and that just got me thinking about what the kitchen looks like if the dining has ripped carpet, holes in walls, and dead bugs on the window sills. The food is very basic breakfast food. I did not eat anything disappointing but it was not memorable. I strongly believe the great reviews are based on portion and price rather than taste, cleanliness, ambiance, etc. If you want to feed your belly and nothing more, visit Lisa's. I, on the other hand, will not visit again unless they do a remodel.
google avatar

Joseph F.

Yelp
Hour wait to get in then hour wait for food. I get the wait to get in but the extended wait at the table makes no sense.
google avatar

Brandon H.

Yelp
I was searching for a hashbrown skillet and came across this cafe online. I was quickly seated, and the server came up almost immediately to see if I wanted anything to drink to start. The coffee was delicious and I decided to get the special for the day, which was a Philly skillet. The diner was partitioned off between the front door and a back room. The cafe was very rustic and decorated well. I loved the old-style feel of it. The food was delicious and cooked perfectly! The best part, is everything was under $20, which is so hard to find anymore. Definitely recommend and will be coming back!
google avatar

Greg T.

Yelp
This place was shown to me random this Saturday We had a 20-30 minute wait but it was so worth it! The staff were all friendly and the place was lively with lite conversation! The food was great and tasted of a good home cooked meal. The iced coffee was just right, it did not have a overwhelming taste of the French vanilla.
google avatar

Wade K.

Yelp
Took a very good recommendation from one of our chef friends who vouched for this place. An excellent small eatery in the heart of Omaha. Pancakes the size of your head, hot coffee, big omelets and hash browns round out the American breakfast/brunch menu. This place is crowded and often has a line out he door on Saturdays and Sundays, especially during the college world serious. Service can get backed up at times, but as long as you are not going there for a quick in/out breakfast this place will not disappoint. Go early and enjoy a hearty breakfast.
google avatar

Darcy B.

Yelp
Amazing chorizo skillet and chicken fried steak skillet meals. Came with my dad after some va appointments. Only downside is it's not handicap friendly, but we wiggled our way in and we're pleased with the service..
google avatar

Corey H.

Yelp
If you're looking for a wonderful diner atmosphere for delicious breakfast or lunch, Lisa's Radial Cafe would be an amazing place to go. the service is delightfully quick, and the food is absolutely scrumptious. If you have a picky eater like my daughter their food is satisfying for adults and children. Also, their staff is very kind and generous. If Rory and Lorelei from Gilmore Girls needed a place to eat, they would come here.
google avatar

Phillip K.

Yelp
Always good. Weekdays are better and less busy than weekends. They have surprisingly good coffee for being a cafe/diner.

Elizabeth A.

Yelp
I have zero idea why people go to this place. It's filthy dirty! Food was horrible. I'm actually sick from it today. Flies everywhere! I will never step foot in there again. It's horrible. No wonder why they have cockroaches!

Mike P.

Yelp
Long time Omaha favorite. I generally hit it for breakfast. Old school comfort food in a funky old storefront. Prices are reasonable, food is fresh and comes out fast. Friendly service. The Radial is a cult favorite in Omaha and for good reason. Give it a try. Highly recommended.
