I ordered a croissant combo through DoorDash, delivered to a hotel located 1.6 miles away. The scrambled eggs were gray from being old and had black debris on them, which indicates they were cooked on a dirty grill. Customers—or at least I—should not have to waste money due to poor quality and lack of care in food preparation. Additionally, the dish was supposed to include spinach, but I never saw it.

Lit’l Pepper Gourmet feels like walking into a friend’s kitchen — the staff is incredibly warm and welcoming, making you feel like family from the moment you step in. The food is just as memorable. The Tuna Jalapeño was fresh with the perfect kick, the Italian Torpedo was packed with flavor and quality ingredients, and The Spaniard (pretzel bun) was a standout with its bold, savory combo. Everything tasted homemade, generous, and made with care. Definitely one of those hidden gems you’ll want to visit again and again.

I ordered typical breakfast and was surprised because it was much volume than I expected. It was really affordable for the dish, and they added some fruits! It was happy surprise! Bacon is crispy, Ham and egg are very thick and fluffy. Inside of the restaurant is clean and we can watch TV. It good for morning. They are kind and friendly. I was able to start the day with happy feeling thanks to this breakfast. It has big parking lot and is located close to a bus terminal. It is convenient to go there.

I want to hear with my co-workers it's walking distance from our Kearny Mesa office. We rarely go into the office so I'm not really familiar with all of the lunch spots, but I guess this is the top rated place by many of our co-workers. It's about in 8 minute walk which on a nice day is a great break from the office. It is a cute casual deli style setup. With a pretty tasty variety of sandwiches Kama soups and salads. I ordered the brisk, which came with blue cheese and caramelized onions. We also got a few soups to share, I was honestly so full I didn't even get a chance to try the soup. The sandwiches are pretty filling, specially for lunch so I took half to go. We all loved our food. Honestly this place exceeded my expectations. It also has a very mom and pop family feel, which just makes me feel really comfortable and welcome to. Highly recommend this place if you were in the area!

I wish I discovered this place sooner ! Was recommended this spot from a friend. Me and my wife went. I got the turkey gobbler and it was incredible. Cranberry aioli sauce will hit !!! Especially with the gravy on top of the turkey. We shared the supreme breakfast croissant and we loved it. My wife got herself the chicken jalapeño and she loved it because she enjoys a little spice. I took a bite of it and it was yummy. We loved the food so we decided to take one sandwich home, the st Patrick sandwich. We took it home and it was still yummy. Restaurant was clean and the cashier was great which is always a plus. Can’t wait to come back.

Our company loves using this catering service. They are professional and easy to work with. The variety of food options is fantastic. They are very good with allergies and dietary limitations. They have catered 3 large events for us- highly recommend!

Feeling a bit under the weather so I picked up a large spicy chicken tortilla soup and a baguette with butter. Soup had some kick to it but I like spice so it was all good. Soup was very flavorful with good chunks of chicken and veggies. Baguette was right out of the oven so it was perfectly crisp on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. Will definitely be coming back. 9/6 ordered the half sandwich half soup special and it was amazing. I opted for the pulled pork banh mi with spicy chicken tortilla soup. Did not know that the meal would come with a small salad and a cookie. Really nice touch by the restaurant to make you feel like your getting more for your money. This has definitely become one of my favorite lunch spots.

I recently placed an order online and received a notification that it would be ready in approximately 12 minutes. I arrived about 15 minutes later to pick it up, but the order was not yet ready. Given that it was during the lunch rush, I completely understand--delays can happen. While I waited, the cashier kindly apologized, which I appreciated. Once the order was ready, I returned to my job site to have lunch. Upon opening the bag, I noticed that one of the sandwiches was made with a different type of bread than I had requested. I called the restaurant simply to bring it to their attention, in the hope that greater attention could be paid to such details in the future. I wasn't upset--just wanted to provide constructive feedback. The cashier was very professional and apologetic. She asked for my address so she could send a replacement sandwich. I initially declined, as it wasn't necessary, but she insisted. To my surprise, not only did she send the correct sandwich, but she also included a gift card as a gesture of goodwill. I truly appreciated the thoughtfulness, even though it wasn't expected. The primary reason for my call was to encourage attention to order accuracy, not to complain. All that said, I still highly recommend this place. The food is consistently excellent, and the customer service clearly reflects a genuine commitment to customer satisfaction. OH. MY. GOD. First off, Amber... at the counter. You are a literal angel, the sweetest human ever! I'll get straight to it: BEST SANDWICH FREAKING EVER!!!! Ordering was easy, besides having to choose between everything but the Texan??? Are you kidding me?! Mind blowing. Chill space to eat too, inclining outdoor seating.

Around here, everyone knows this is the spot to grab a sandwich big enough to tame even the hungriest belly. Large salads or breakfast for the early risers. They also have soups of the day ready for the fall season. Heads up though come lunchtime, it's a jungle out there. Think long lines, hungry hippos, and the sweet smell of sandwiches calling your name. But don't panic these folks run a tight ship. Lines move lightning-fast, and you've got options galore: preorder to save time, dine inside, or snag a spot on the patio when the sun's out. The setup is smart all the tables hug the edges of the restaurant to make room for everyone, and the parking lot is spacious enough to handle the crowd. These guys know their craft and are fully equipped to feed literally everyone. I had my eye on the legendary Sexy Boy sandwich (how can you not want to order that?!), but since I was on the go and it didn't look car-friendly, I'll save that masterpiece for next time. Instead, I went for one of their top 10 irresistible creations: the Pastrami on Rye. Fresh, crunchy veggies and perfectly toasted rye wrapped around a mountain of juicy pastrami it was everything my growling stomach had been dreaming of. Pure sandwich bliss. The addition of banana peppers gave some texture difference as all the flavors danced merry in my mouth. The cherry on top? The staff here are absolute gems warm, welcoming, and clearly proud of what they do. Just remember, they close early and take weekends off, so plan ahead, come hungry, and prepare to leave very, very happy.

Excellent casual lunch place! I went here with coworkers for lunch and it's great for groups because you order from a counter, making it easy to pay separately. They have indoor and outdoor seating options. Be ready, because the sandwiches are massive! I ordered the club and was barely able to finish half; and it was so delicious. My coworkers got the cordon bleu, the avo, and the half and half combo of French dip sandwich and French onion soup. Everyone was happy and full, no notes. One coworker is gluten free and they do have gluten free choices! The servers were so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend for a great lunch!

So many amazing options to choose from. I wouldn't suggest going hungry you'll take for ever to decide. Shred the Cubano and spicy beef sandwich with my girlfriend. Loved both of them. Can't wait to go back and try some more sandwiches and their daily soup.

I can't tell you how many times I've driven by here and wondered what they have and if it's good. Then a few days ago my hubs suggested we try it as someone told him about the Chili. So we stopped by yesterday and ordered Sandwiches and Chili to go. Everyone working there were so helpful and friendly. Looking at the prices, I thought it was expensive. You get your moneys worth though. These are big sandwiches. I could only eat half of my Club. Chili is good and thick. They gave us cookie samples and they are delicious. It's very roomy and clean inside with plenty of tables. My only complaint is more of a me problem. The counter is high and I'm short. It was hard for me to see the employees when I ordered. It all worked out though and we were all happy with our orders.

What a nice spot for breakfast and lunch. It is located behind Panera. Parking is easy. You order at the counter. There is space to eat inside and outside. We ordered the gumbo soup and a bagel sandwich. Both were excellent. You get a little side salad with each. The people are super friendly. I know they get crowded - but it moves quickly. The place is nice and clean. Plus you get a little cookie with your order. We will be back to try more!

I've visited them twice and found that they offer Inventive sandwiches at fair prices, with fast friendly service. Recommend.

I use to go to this deli when I worked at my old job. I loved the veggie sandwich. They have great cookies. The chicken tortilla and cream of broccoli soup was very tasty too. The only part I hated was they closed early and on weekends so I have not had the chance to go back.

Little sandwich shop in a business district owned by a local couple and their family! It's been operated for years and is a local gem! It's only open till 2pm everyday and it's a perfect lunch. The service is top tier and you feel like a part of their family. Each sandwich comes with a small salad and a cookie when eating in the shop! Sandwich: St. Patrick's: sliced corned beef was amazing. The sandwich is well balanced! The thousand island sauce is good addition to the sandwich. It is ALOT of food though. Can probably have about half the sandwich and be a full meal. Egg Salad: A classic American egg salad sandwich. Can't go wrong here. Good quality bread! Soup: Creamy Tomato Bisque: Piping hot tomato soup. Super creamy, pure tomato flavors. For me, needed some salt and pepper, but goes really well with a sandwich! Chicken and Sausage Gumbo: The soup is so good on its own already I could just eat a whole bowl of this.

Great place for lunch if you're in the area. Staff is always really cool and they throw in a cookie with your food. Last time I went I went with the half and half with the chicken Cesar sandwich and the chicken pot pie soup. Both were great but the soup was super choice. Plus the have a rotating soup menu for real broth heads such as myself. Plenty of parking and they are super quick especially if you call ahead. There is plenty of seating inside and they also have a few tables out front. Definitely grab a sandwich if you work in the area.

Love this shop! My favorite is the The Hummus sandwich, so yummy and the staff is absolutely wonderful! The bread for the sandwiches is delicious!!!

I'm making my way through the Yelp top 10 San Diego deli sandwich places and Lit'l Pepper was near the top of the list. The restaurant is in an industrial/business office area off of Clairemont Mesa right near the San Diego courthouse and highway 163. It's not hard to find and there's plenty of parking. The deli is super cute with outdoor and indoor seating. I got a turkey club for myself and an egg salad sandwich for Dad. The staff behind the counter were super nice and very attentive. Both sandwiches were made really quickly and the orders were perfect. They even included some chocolate chip cookies! The sandwiches were both great with lots of fresh veggies. Very generous portions for the price!

Came here for a quick bagel while I waited for my car to get detailed at a nearby dealership. I was searching bagels nearby while I waited for my ride and came across this cute place that had good prices and better bagels. The space seems to be in an industrial area but it wasn't hard to find and had plenty of parking. We were there Tuesday morning there was not many other customers there however they were busy packing up their van for their catering services so the staff was busy. We got greeted right away and ordered our food which came out fast. We both got deluxe bagels at $7.25 each which in my opinion is a steal. I thought for the price there was ample amount of protein. They checked up on us multiple times and made sure we had everything we needed. I will def come back to try the soup and a sandwich.

I loved the Tuna Jalapeño (fresh with a spicy pop), the Italian Torpedo (flavor-packed and hearty), and The Spaniard (rich, savory perfection). Cozy, friendly, and delicious -- exactly the kind of place that makes you want to come back for "the usual."

Only open on weekdays and they close early at 2pm sharp. I got there just in time before they closed. I got the half and half sandwich with choice of salad or soup where I chose the Thai roast beef sandwich which came with roast beef on a super soft French roll, cilantro, onion, jalapeno, and chili sauce. The bread was so soft and paired well with the really tender roast beef. The jalapeno was nicely spicy. Overall, it was a really good sandwich that was refreshing with quality ingredients that I liked a lot. As for the my side, I got the soup-of-the-day, one of which was lobster bisque. There were no lobster chunks sadly. It was a creamy tomato soup with notes of lobster notes. I would opt for a salad instead next time. A great deli, sandwich shop where I would absolutely come back!

Love this little local deli located in the Kearny Mesa area of San Diego. It's a little hard to see from the street because the area looks like it's a bit industrial and it's almost hidden. But I think this is actually an advantage for locals. The place is always busy during it's lunchtime rush but you have the opportunity to place your order online or the phone ahead if you'd like. I've had both breakfast and lunch here and it has yet to miss. For breakfast, I love their croissant sandwiches, especially the Ham and Cheese. It is PACKED with lots of delicious ham, melty cheese and fluffy egg. For lunch, they are known for their Jurassic Pork sandwich, which is a definite winner for juiciness and flavor. But for other options, may I suggest my personal deli favorite - the Chicken Salad sandwich or the wrap! So good and they don't skimp on the chicken either. I'm also a fan of the Gyro sandwich stuffed with tomato, onion, lettuce and feta cheese, served with tzatziki. I definitely am looking forward to more sandwiches from here. I also want to try the many soups they have (they have daily specials for them!) and the salads look plentiful and delicious. Lastly of note...the employees seem to always be welcoming and friendly. Definitely a plus!

Placed an online order for the half sandwich and side of soup. Such a large portion for the half sandwich and the soup size was perfect for me. Food was fresh very well put together not all bunched up on one side. Friendly and welcoming when I came in, love it when staff acknowledge when customers come in even a quick simple Hi is great.

Been here many times and it NEVER disappoints. FAST, friendly staff, and INCREDIBLE menu and DELICIOUS food. Couldn't ask for a better experience. Today I tried the Muffaletta...packed full of meat and cheese along with a balanced olive tapenade. Again, GREAT! Love this place.

I had the Saint Patrick sandwich at Lil Pepper Gourmet Deli -- a delicious blend of corned beef and pastrami, and it did not disappoint. But what truly made the experience special was the owner. He personally brought me my sandwich, a warm cup of soup, and a sugar cookie -- all with a big smile, a good joke, and genuine kindness. He checked on me throughout my visit, making sure everything was perfect. The place was a decent size with lots of tables inside and out which made the long line that they fly through a great ambience to be in . The food is incredible, but it's the love and care behind it that makes this place stand out. You can taste the heart he puts into every bite. A true neighborhood gem.

Was craving a Caesar chicken wrap in the area, came across this sammy shop. Placed the order over the phone for pick-up. Walked in and was greeted by the staff, very friendly and attentive. It's a big space with indoor and outdoor seating. They have a variety of canned/bottled drinks and chips! The wrap itself is soooo delicious and FILLING!!! Good amount of chicken breast in there plus veggies. BONUS POINTS FOR THE COOKIE! I can't wait to go back and try their other menu items! :)

Such an awesome hidden gem of a deli. We stop in every time we're at the dentist (they share the same parking lot). Quality food... whether you're ordering breakfast or lunch... you wont find a better sandwich. The customer service is FIVE STAR. One of those places you just LOVE supporting. Highly recommend stopping in or ordering a catered meal.

Great sandwiches ordering on line is pretty simple but do be aware of the tabs when checking out. Haven't visited the physical location itself. I'll let you be the judge. I must say the last 2 times I've order something on my sandwich was missing so a tad disappointing. But not the end of the world. The chicken cordon blu is do try.

You've got to get the Gobbler around Thanksgiving time. There is nothing in this world like it. A dipping cup of gravy with bits of tasty stuffing and sausage in it!? Get outta here, that's amazing. I did order to go, but if I'd stayed to eat I would have felt cozy. The sandwich comes wrapped and weighs roughly as much as a newborn baby. Friendly quick service is all I ask, and they were happy to oblige!

One of my favorite deli's. When I started working in the area, my coworkers would rave about this place. I was sold when we had some sort of event and Lit'l Pepper catered! Around 2019, I switched departments and started working in La Mesa so I missed this place on the rotation. Glad to say for the past year, I'm back in the area and happy it's back on the rotation. Their sandwiches are great but as of late, I've been getting the 1/2 salad and soup combo. My favorite day is Thursday as one of the soup choices is the spicy chicken sausage gumbo. One of the best things is that when we do order lunch, we do so through their website. I'll always note who the order is for on the little memo line and they'll print a little ticket to attach to each order--it's so well packed! I love the attention to detail and they always get it right. If you order in, they're pretty efficient, and the line moves quickly. Can't forget their cookies! Always a wonderful way to compliment the meal.

This sandwich shop was recommended. I gave it a shot. They have a very large menu with a lot of great looking big sandwiches. I was having trouble picking one. I went with the Egg Salad sandwich on Rye. It was a big sandwich with plenty of egg salad inside. The Egg Salad was a little bland. I probably should have picked one of the other combos so that was on me. You get a little cookie with the sandwich. Prices seemed a little high but not out of the ballpark for a sandwich shop like this. Service was alright. They were out of the big chocolate chip cookies so he gave me an extra little one. The inside looked like every other deli shop I have been in. I would go back, but skip the egg salad. Go for the meat. They look fantastic.

Food was okay, really expensive for quality of food. Plenty of parking, easy to find and staff is great. But at the end of the day it is mid sandwiches.

Lit'l Pepper catered our company's (very) early morning breakfast and did a great job! The service, quality, and communication were everything we could have asked for! We knew Lit'l Pepper could be trusted to follow through on a challenging order for a 5:30am delivery, because they always come through for our employees. We had 120 employees attend, and they all enjoyed all the varieties of breakfast burritos! They were delicious and the portions were generous. BTW, Lit'l Pepper's fruit platters are works of art! ‍ Chef's kiss!

I have used this spot a couple of times for takeout sandwiches for a meeting and they're always awesome. Food is great and they are totally professional and timely.

Best chicken noodle soup I've ever had from a restaurant. The baguette that I got with it was served warm and was delicious especially dipped in the soup. The service was super polite and I hope to return. This place is hard to spot but if you find it just know it's a hidden gem.

This is my first time and the Service is goood they are welcoming! They were very attentive and patient and understanding. They were very informative and the manager is splendid. I wish him the best and to have nothing but blessings and a good day. He's very kind and their entire staff. They have great choices. I ordered Thai beef and yummmmmmm... I ordered the half and half and it was good because I get the best of both worlds. And their bomb chicken soup! It's filling! They even have chips and cookies and it's clean! Come check them out they're so good! And they're so hospitable this is real service and a real good restaurant that makes you feel good when you go in and when you leave. I was having a horrible day and their kindness helped more than they know. Thank you to the staff! I am now a regular I'll be coming back!

I do not say this lightly but this is the best sandwich shop in San Diego. We have tried several of their sandwiches and they are all really good, but that Jurassic Pork sandwich is possibly the best sandwich I've ever eaten. Tried their Cobb Salad on Friday (yes, it pained me not to get the sandwich but I have been craving a Cobb salad) and the salad was perfect. Bacon stayed crispy, eggs were perfectly cooked and I switched out for the ginger balsamic dressing and it was delicious. Do not hesitate to try this place. You will not be disappointed... and get the Jurassic Pork!
