Little Bear - Review - Glendale - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"The chef behind now-closed Recess Eatery in Highland Park has a new daytime Italian cafe in Glendale. Little Bear has fresh pasta on display, which you can mix and match with various sauces. There's also a sandwich menu featuring mortadella and soppressata, plus coffee, tea, and desserts such as panna cotta and tiramisu." - Cathy Park

On the Grid : Little Bear

"Go to Traction Ave if you want German beer (see Wurstkuche); go to Industrial Ave if you want Belgian. Little Bear (or The Little Bear, if you must) has an impressive selection of Belgian beers on tap. Just ask the servers or bartender and they'll steer you in the right direction if you're lost. Pair your drink with the truffle-tastic Little Bear burger and side of the slightly sweet balsamic-roasted brussels sprouts, sprinkled with hazelnuts." - verynice

The LA Sports Bar Directory - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"With its mixture of steel and glass architecture and rotating menu of Belgian-style beers, catching the game at Little Bear feels more like you’re in Brussels rather than a warehouse in DTLA. They also have a decent domestic beer menu, as well as late snacks like fried chicken sliders, chimichurri sliders, and Sriracha mac and cheese." - kat hong, james montgomery

The Best Restaurants For Drinking Beer - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Little Bear is a Belgian bar/restaurant in the heart of the Arts District with a beer list that is also 100% Belgian. If your only reference point for Belgian beer is a Chimay someone passed you once at the Hollywood Bowl, know that Little Bear’s beer stock includes saisons, blondes, sours, pal ales, dark ales, and everything in between. As for the food, it’s your typical bar menu stuff, but everything is good, particularly the short rib poutine and Belgian fries. The large industrial space is the perfect big group spot before a night out downtown." - brant cox, brett keating

Little Bear is one of my new favorite places to pick up a quick & fresh-tasting pasta for lunch! Prices are reasonable and the staff is very nice. I’ve tried a few things on the menu + their handmade pasta to take home and everything has been delightful. The chef has even been kind enough to offer me a complimentary dessert to try on a couple occasions. I’ll be back soon!

Newly open eatery. Little Bear is a cute, cozy and comfortable eatery for sandwiches, pasta dishes , pastries, desserts , coffee and other great Italian treats. Stopped in to try some of their pastries and everything was made fresh and delicious. Very helpful and friendly staff. Looking forward to trying some of their sandwiches and pasta dishes. Loved it and will be back.

Google
Got the prosciutto sandwich and they threw in a bread pudding since they just opened I think. The sandwich came with some spicy pickles on the side. Jalapeno, carrot, celery, onion, and cauliflower. Spicy and fresh. Sandwich was put together pretty well, didn't fall apart, wasn't all arugula or all bread. Was a little salty but you get that with the cured meat so not sure how you change that without just using less meat which would be sad. Personally I'd prefer a more 'traditional' bread, this one was softer and got soggy in some spots. That's also just what you get when you make sandwiches ahead and use actual fresh ingredients. Bread pudding was good. The bread itself wasn't a single texture throughout, it actually had layers. It was also fairly dense and didn't feel overly mushy. I thought there was too much icing at first but the bread itself wasn't overly sweet so I think it was the right amount. The pudding had blueberries and chocolate instead of the normal raisins and cinnamon, I'd recommend letting it warm up a bit since they have it chilled. The icing also had a very slight orange flavor.

Google
I got the lasagna for my meal and I got the chocolate mousse for a desert. Both were really tasty. Good size on the portions for the price. It will leave you feeling full but not stuffed. The staff was really friendly to talk to. Looking forward to coming back. (I’ve got my eyes on the rigatoni bolognese for next time!)

Google
I got the Soppressata and a mocha latte and they were awesome together! The vibe is super cool and the service is great. We made friends with the everyone who works here! They just opened!

Google
This place opened recently, and I’m already in love with it! 🌟 The staff is super friendly and welcoming it really feels like home. The food is absolutely delicious, everything is fresh and beautifully served. They even treated us to something for free, which was such a nice surprise! I’ll definitely be coming back ❤️

Google
This place is awesome. We had the lemon cake which was melt in your mouth good (I usually hate lemon desserts), the rigatoni Bolognese which was the the perfect amount and a perfect sauce to noodle ratio and a iced mocha which was very good as well. It feels like a little piece of Europe in the middle of Glendale. The little tables, smaller portions and casual atmosphere really make this place a must try!

Yelp
It says it's open and I went by and it was closed with a man hiding behind the counter looking at his phone and not answering the telephone call or me knocking on the door. I've been here three times and yet I've haven't had anything to eat or drink. The first time I came here there was no parking. Two weeks later I tried again and still no parking. Today was the third time I came on fifth of October weeks later and my review is still one star.

Yelp
This place is adorable. Perfect spot to start your day with a cup of Joe. Great for lunch. They have outdoor seating as well which is a plus to soak up the Cali weather. The sandwiches are simple and fresh. The staff is super friendly. Great addition to this part of town. I wish them the best!

Yelp
I stumbled upon this place by chance one morning while looking for coffee, and they did not disappoint with their delicious lavender latte. The lady at the counter mentioned they were new to the area and shared a little about the place, which made the visit feel even more personal. They offer a variety of fresh, healthy grab-and-go meals, and I love that they make their pasta in-house daily. They even have take-home options like lasagna, which is such a great idea. On top of that, their desserts--like panna cotta and tiramisu--look amazing! Since their coffee was excellent, I do wish they had some baked treats to pair with it, but overall this was such a great find. I'll definitely be back to try more from their menu!

Yelp
Tasty authentic Italian sandwiches, pastas and salads. Yum!! Family owned and friendly staff in a cute converted donut shop. Go support them- you won't be disappointed.

Behrod K.

Yelp
It's amazing how quickly this became one of my favorite places in LA! The place used to be an old donut shop, that they converted into a fast casual Italian restaurant. The place is charming, and you can tell they put a lot of effort to create a cozy cafe. Their pasta is always fresh, delicious and better than some of the highest rated Italian restaurants in LA. My favorite dish is the short-rib pappardelle, but I've been trying different pasta combinations every time I've been there and have never been disappointed. The staff is always friendly, kind and makes you feel welcomed. If you want amazing Italian food at a reasonable price, head on over to little bear! I promise you will have a new favorite place!

Yelp
I think I've been here at least six or seven times now for things ranging from a Matcha latte to tiramisu to salad and the Housemade pasta. In addition to the food just being excellent. The customer service is really ridiculous in a good way every time I go there they're just such gracious hosts and for some reason I always end up with something being given to me for free and it feels like this very like family style culture of how the restaurant is run For example it was my wedding anniversary a few weeks ago and I was picking up tiramisu for my husband because it's his favorite and the young woman behind the counter ended up giving me a extra piece because it was kind of busted looking and not really sellable and I tried to pay for it and she wouldn't let me and they're just overall so nice on top of the food being excellent I would say yes it is a little bit more expensive than other fast casual eateries, but the quality makes it make sense.

Yelp
Tried this place for the first time because I saw it on instagram - it recently opened up on the border of burbank/glendale. The service was quick and friendly. They have cute tables and a clean environment with lots of lighting. I ordered a vanilla latte half sweet with almond milk and they were able to accommodate with no hesitations. They use lavazza coffee which I prefer. They have sandwiches and salads which are perfect lunch options (although we didn't order at this time) Overall the coffee was good, parking was convenient, and service was great. I would definitely go back. They don't have a sign up yet so it's hard to find but I imagine they'll be getting one soon and be up on maps

Yelp
Great little shop! It has a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating. I ordered a latte along with a lasagna and tiramisu, which were delightful. They offer take home pastas and sauces you can prepare at home. I'd like to come back again soon and try one of their sandwiches. Staff were very friendly!

Yelp
Heard about this place and decided to check it out. The workers were friendly and got our orders in a timely manner. We ordered pesto pasta and a lavender matcha which were super delicious! This place has a nice atmosphere and I'd probably visit again and recommend to others if they're looking for new food places to try.

Yelp
Wonderful service and food is good. Portion on the smaller side. It's a cute little place in a strip mall.

Jack K.

Yelp
Great addition to Glendale. I stop by this place twice already and bought fresh pasta to to go along with sauces. Really tasty and definitely not your typical pasta you would buy from stores. Service was excellent both times. My kids new favorite stop. Will try their sandwiches next time. I wish they would also sell some Italian meats like prosciutto and a couple of dried meats so I don't have to go to Italian store just for that and can come here for one stop shop.

Reena L.

Yelp
No notes! The lasagna was life altering and the panna cotta will make you swoon. Fair warning - you will not want to share It sounds like they do catering as well.

Ivan C.

Yelp
Could not recommend this place more! Cozy atmosphere, delicious food and good coffee. The service is fantastic and the workers are so kind. Try the lemon cake and Bolognese!

Sevan A.

Yelp
Everything tastes amazing and it's such a cute place to eat. I even took their Make @ Home pasta to enjoy at home.

Darla A.

Yelp
Food is incredible! I love the pleasant atmosphere and service. I highly recommend trying the soppressata sandwich and the tiramisu.
