Little Big Burger

This is my favorite burger spot in town; it’s nothing like your typical fast food chain! You get real, quality food every time. As a mom, I’m careful about where I take my son, and this is the one place I truly trust because everything is fresh and locally sourced. In a world full of junk, it means so much to have a place where I actually feel good about what we’re eating.

I ordered the Fancy burger and the flavor was excellent it was made to order and fast. The staff members were polite and attentive. I was the only one in the place so I couldn't say how the atmosphere was on a normal day. My issues with the experience were the price and size of the burger. It was $12.75 for a burger the size of a slider and a soda, no fries which for the price definitely should have been included. It wasn't a bad experience just expensive.

For the area, it was a lot more relaxed and laid back than I anticipated. The food is made to order so you don't get the cold fries situation like you do at some other places. The atmosphere was great and everybody who was there was very friendly. My food was excellent. The ketchup was a bit peculiar but aside from that everything was amazing

Little Big Burger never disappoints! The food is always fresh, juicy, and full of flavor. The burgers are the perfect size, the truffle fries are addictive, and everything is served hot and fast. The staff is super friendly and efficient — great vibes all around. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or just craving a quality burger, this place is a solid go-to. Highly recommend

My first try here. I thought this placed served up normal sized burgers considering the price. Just know, that at least the double burger I ordered, was the size of a slider but a bit taller due to the extra patty. Compared to PDX Sliders or Bottos single patty, there’s less weight too. I ordered it with pepper jack cheese and have gotta say, this thing was pretty tasteless. My wife thought the same. I tossed it after two small bites.

Today me and my family went out for dinner and we tried out Little Big Burger for the first time. Which I absolutely love it! The place and the dinning area was organized and coordinated as the tables were clean precisely, including the bathrooms which I was glad about. The staff I recalled was a young woman and man who were helpful to help my family to order our food and they did a great job! As they kept their professional demeanor and nicely manner to us! I ordered the cheeseburger with bacon and the truffle fries along with a Starry for my drink. The burger was very delicious and it wasn’t messy or what you expect from fast food restaurants sometimes, I was surprised of how well the food was put together! And I liked of how it was small, a subtle nod to the restaurant’s name, bravo for that one! The truffle fries were an plenty handful but it was yet filling and I liked the options for the sauces along with ketchup, it was yet very tasty and worth the price, even if it can be slightly pricy. But again I never felt full for hours from eating either burger and fries in a minute as it was a good effort of quality. Definitely would come here again!! 👍

Little burger big disappointment...I was excited to try here after reading the reviews and even walking in the place thought wow this place is very clean. Then, being met by a kiosk to place my own order kind of set the tone for what was a big turn-off. It's kind of weird if not even greeted by a living person. It did take a bit longer than I expected to get just two burgers and two drinks in a rather unpacked restaurant. The burgers looked ok if just a bit oily for some reason. My first bite all I could taste was sweet pickle and had to remove all of them from my burger. The burger was ok if just slightly under done for my liking and had an old oil taste to it. My partner said his burger was good, and he liked his cooked medium and was quite fine with the pink tinge in the middle of the meat. We did decide to order some fries that came drowned in truffle oil and salt to the point i didn't eat mine. The whole meal I felt was underwhelming and overpriced.

This place is fantastic! For the first came here. I love the portion sizes. Burgers were jucy and tasty. I would definitely recommend it for a quick lunch.

Wowzer!!!! What a bargain and what a delicious filling burger!!! Don't let the name or the size fool you it's a lot of burger!! Highly recommend the double with goat cheese and please don't sleep on the truffle fries w/fry sauce!!! Highly recommended and definitely will be back!!!

3 stars due to coming here a few times and no "hi, welcome in", was given. Service is slow the few times I've ordered and it takes them a while to prepare the food. It's a nice clean space. Food i would give a 3.8/5

Stopped here while my partner was at the nearby OHSU office. The first thing I noted was that it was 3.50 for a medium size fountain drink and the fountain is behind the counter so refills, if even available, are hard to get. Because you order everything off a kiosk and not a person. Which I don't have a problem with; I can do it myself. But there's not much of an opportunity to ask any questions of a person, especially since most of the employees were well behind the counter making food. I ordered a double cheeseburger with two cheeses, cheddar and pepper jack, and a side of fries. The whole thing cost me over twenty bucks. The burgers are, as the name says, little but big. A quarter pound each but tall, not wide. They're thick and while the meat is okay, it was dry and very salty. Same with the fries...so salty I couldn't finish the whole thing. The burger was seriously underwhelming, overpriced, very salty, and with the lack of a fountain readily available, combined with the uncomfortable industrial style counter-or-group table seating means that I have no reason to come back here again.

Solid burger, thin crispy fries & fry sauce! Smash burgers are having a moment right now & this is more of a traditional burger, but it's still pretty good! Service is fast so it's a great spot if you're looking for a quick bite.

Great location and friendly service. The food is always delicious here and I wish the burgers were bigger but it's in the name as to why the party is as the young kids say "thicc". I enjoyed it though and hadn't been to a LBB since 2014 actually, so it was long overdue. The Fancy, limited item, was actually pretty tasty. I ate some truffle fries on the side which you can definitely chase the truffle.

New to the area and was craving burgers. I'm used to In N Out but the closest one is 2 hours away. You put in your own order via a tablet and the workers cook your food. I got a hamburger and some truffle fries. I should have taken the name seriously when they say "Little Big Burger". The patty was a thick 4 oz patty but the overall burger was very small. No bigger than the palm of your hand, 4 bites and you're all done. Burger was pink on the inside but somehow was very dry. Actual taste of the patty was quite bland. The sauces provided in the burger did make up for that but I did want to taste more flavor from the actual patty. Truffle fries were what one would expect, not amazing but not bad. $4 fries are definitely pricy, considering that the burger is around $7-8. Overall an ok burger spot that'd I'd return to if I was really hungry, very pricy for what you get.

I LIVE LITTLE BUG BURGER SO MUCH ITS SO FIRE. It's so demure and lovely, the service is emaculant, and the mood is just so beautiful, I could drink a bottle of fry sauce from them and eat 10 pounds of their truffle fries in one sitting and not get tired of them.

I ordered a slider with no vegetables no salad fries and a root beer float to be delivered. I ride in PLEASE knock on the door when you deliver these. I've never had a service not do that until little burger. For the second time since I ordered it from them, they did not notify me when my food was here. They left the lettuce pickles onions tomato on the hamburger slider and of course, the root beer float was melted Again, this is the second time this has happened I've tried to call them, but their phone number doesn't work is the little bigger on bond but I guess that's posted here. I can't get them to answer. I will search for when I have more time right now. I need food. Someone will deliver it.

Stopped in for lunch with my adult daughter at 2:30 pm 12/27 after visit to OHSU, WELL after lunch rush (if there ever is one? First time here) Two employees/cooks/cashiers, maybe 4 tables occupied, the rest not clean. Twenty minute wait ( I was worried my meter would run out!) for 2 burgers without fries. Little burger, big waste, long wait. Need to make several more trips to OHSU but will find somewhere else to eat.

I ordered a cheeseburger in their kiosk. After waiting 15 minutes, I asked for a refund. The staff refused and stated, "It will only be another 15 seconds". Another staffer turned his back to me and made a mocking remark. After a minute, I was served a burger that was barely warm, with pink in the middle. Just do better. SLOW RUDE DANGEROUSLY UNDERCOOKED MEAT

Beyond Burger is atrocious. If I wanted to eat wet cardboard, I'd leave some Amazon boxes in my backyard. Little Big Burger used to be a consistent once-a-month visit for me, but not since they moved away from their unique, delicious veggie burger a few years back. I know that some meat eaters may seem to think it's ok, but I don't know a single vegetarian that likes it. Any way we can get you to offer both?

Hate it. Like the food ok but I was just delivered a cold hamburger and and a melted Root Beer Float. None of this edible. I ask for no salad. I get salad. I ask no onions. Piled high w/onions. Burger cold as I said. Fries ok Root Beer float died a sad death. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN BUT I will call the manager of that site

Quick and easy meal. I love small portion size of the hamburger. It's super yummy and healthy protein.

I like Little Big Burger because they use wonderful Northwest products such as Tillamook etc. Today my burger was cooked perfectly and the toppings were fresh and adequate. They "did" drain the grease off the meat before placing it on the bun so the bun stayed dry. Thanks! Love the truffle fries! With the fry sauce they have it is the perfect dipping combo. Yum! Many do not know but they make a mean root beer float here. Check it out! For people who do not live in the area.... parking is tough and is street parking. There is so much construction going on in the area that some of the street parking has been utilized for construction, therefore there are minimal spaces to park on the street. You can also order off the Little Big Burger app, DoorDash, Postmates etc. if you use their app they do you have a really good rewards program and you know time you could have a free burger or fry. :-)

food is always fresh and delicious. I ordered online and when I arrived, my order was freshly prepared. The fries are made with olive oil which makes them taste great. Great burger shop to have in our neighborhood.

Little Big Burger is yummy, lucious and juicy. The rootbeer floats are delish and the truffle fries too.

I love your food!!! Order is usually spot on. Just remember to label well for delivery. Had an oops on what belongs to who, got mixed up due to lack of labels on the burgers. Little to none and pretty illegible. Other than that, very tasty!

After trying another location, I wasn't sure about going to the location near my apartment...but I was hungry and wanted a burger. So, I walked over and ordered a big double burger with tillamook cheddar and all the toppings. I also got one with Goat cheese and bacon for my wife. Of course, we had to get some truffle fries with fry sauce too. The food from this location was much better than what I had before. The burgers were a little bit dry and well done, not close to medium. Still, they were good and the toppings extremely fresh. The fries were awesome, especially with the fry sauce. We will be going there again.

Great burger as usual. Love the fries and enough to share! Now if they would only sell wine, it would be perfect!

Can't believe it's been two years since I had visited a place I used to call one of my favorites. I love everything about the concept. The prices seem to have creeped up higher. I was cashing in a reward. Free burger. Purchased the fries. Everything went fine through the order process. Then I got the final bill a service charge ? For what me picking up the burger? Very rude. I won't be using that service again. I see a thread on here and I am just going to add to it. They seem to change managers every year and that means new staff. Probably new procedures and new policies. Well the food then does not come out consistent. One was well done one was pink and one was medium. All were specifically medium. Different visits. Which adds to the inconsistent product. Parking is also a big issue. Be prepared to pay. Don't think you can just run in and get your order and leave. That never seems to happen as smoothly as you would think. Although I have not gotten a ticket I have seen the bicycle police make many rounds attempting to ticket violators. Even one time saw them stop in the park and wait watching for cars to not pay. Could turn into an expensive burger. Just a warning to anyone going to this location

Part of a Portland chain, I was excited when Little Big Burged came to the S Waterfront. Rarely do I eat fast food, but once in awhile you are craving a burger and you don't necessarily want to go to a restaurant or cook one at home. Their menu is simple, basically different burger and cheese combos and fries with different dipping sauces. Burgers are cooked to order so food arrives fresh. Canned beer, hard cider, root beer floats and soda make up the drink menu. This location is quite large and typically empty. That's saying something! With all of the condos and apartments, and the workers and visitors at OHSU, one would expect this place to be busy. IMHO it's the lack of consistency in how they cook their burgers. I prefer mine medium but theirs often come out rare. if you bring it back and point this out, they don't offer to recook one. What? In fact, they argue with you saying it's cooked fine. if you go, up front request how you want your burger! Not sure they will honor your request, but it's worth a try. There is parking on street - use Parking Kitty app as this is a City Street that meters parking. Also close to S Moody Maxx station.

I ordered using the app, quick turnaround. As usual, the burger was perfect. The truffle fries is what I am after. It was cooked perfectly, lots of crunch. The serving size was plenty, but I am not complaining. Yum!

Cleaner, faster, more efficient than many of its brethren, although still a bit bogged down by the colossal influx of DoorDash, GrubHub and online pick-up orders. Still, they manage to churn out a pair of tasty burgers, and a bag of fresh, warm, delicious fries, in a reasonable amount of time. Definitely a great lunch spot on the South Waterfront, particularly if you're in a hurry, or smart enough to plan ahead.

Great burger. I'm not a fan of cheddar, especially on burgers, so initially, I was put off by the lack of american cheese, but it really was tasty. Good vibe, good staff, good burger.... However, I likely won't be returning because $12 for what amounts to a snack (just the burger and a drink. Fries would have been $4 more) isn't really worth it to me. It's about the equivalent of ordering a filet at a steakhouse. Really good, but not a really good value. I was pretty hungry, and knowing I had to spend another $15+ elsewhere had me hangrily walking away. It probably didn't help that it was 1 $ sign on price, and the older pics had a $7 burger, so I had some sticker shock when I got there. But yeah... emphasis on the little in LBB. You can almost wrap your fingers around a double. I'm not sure what I was expecting.

This was our first visit to any LBB. We were in the area and always looking for new burger joints. We were there on a Sunday at lunchtime, and the place was empty when we arrived. Pleasant service, the place seemed clean. We ordered 2 meals: hamburger with fries without truffle oil, and a cheeseburger with the truffle fries. I avoided the truffle oil as I know it can be an acquired taste if not used properly, but I tried one of them and it was pretty good (although I still preferred them without). The food was cooked upon order, came out fresh and hot, as well as perfectly well-done as ordered. As expected, the burgers are small, but the patties are a tad thicker than most. They load you up on fries. I wouldn't say it was either of our favorite burgers on earth, but we were both pleased and full. I recommend the fry sauce...tasty, spicier version of In N Out sauce to me. Overall we enjoyed the meal and will be happy to try them out again sometime.

Management is obviously garbage. Always dirty, food is a mess, employees barely acknowledge customers if you can even get one of them to greet you. You'll walk in and stand by the counter and they will actively avoid making eye contact, while expecting the new employee who is obviously nervous do all of the customer facing interactions when he's clearly overwhelmed and anybody could step in to help him. Trash location and needs to do better. Maybe hire a manager and team who gives a s*** about the customers? Just an idea.

We dropped in on a whim, shortly after 2pm on Friday. This place knocked it out of the park. The burgers were excellent, and despite their size, filling as well. The truffle fries could almost the the stars of the show - they were That Good! The service was outstanding. This will definitely be on our list of favorite places to grab a bite to eat!

This location is worse than others. Fries are frequently stale and not made fresh. Quality is highly dependent on who makes your food.

This place is great. The burger itself is always reliably juicy and delicious, super fresh hot off the grill. The fries are a must-order when here because of that salty truffle goodness and ever so pleasant crispiness. I will deduct one star for this though: this should be called Little Little Burger. I have never eaten one of these burgers and been full. Will definitely need a second for large people.

The Sweet Fire burger was a shock. didn't expect to like it as much as i did. the marion berry habanero jam was soo good with the goat cheese. a nice sweetness with a kick and creamy taste. the truffle fries were also seasoned really good. personal preference to add more salt if i could. prices are a little of a downer for the burgers being so small but i get that's the whole idea of the name of the restaurant

Love Little Big Burger at South Waterfront the people working there are really nice and helpful and everything looks really clean My french fries were perfect.

Pretty good place! Best restaurant in the neighborhood for sure. Really enjoy the burgers and they will even wrap them in lettuce for you. Rewards system is great to, I almost always have a feee burger on the app

We all love their Beyond Burgers and their fries. We liked their fry sauce so much that I backwards engineered it and we now make our own at home. It's a local biz and that's worth our support, particularly now. Staff is friendly, and they execute the orders correctly. During the pandemic, your order is in a paper bag on a side table, with lots of distance, so they have done a good job with the restrictions. Not a ton more to say about a fast food joint. It's an occasional treat. Enjoy.

I was getting irritated after waiting a while for my food. This was after standing at the counter waiting to order, looking at the staff and imploring them with my eyes to come help. They never came. Never acknowledged my presence. Frankly if anything, they seemed bothered by my existence. Then I discovered that I needed to place an order in the kiosk. It would have been nice if someone just shouted towards me " Welcome in! Please place your order at the kiosk when you're ready ". So yeah, I wasn't paying attention to the sign but still...a little "hello!" would have been nice. While I was growing increasingly irritated at this restaurant I decided to read the reviews. I noticed others had a similar experience. I was expecting to be disappointed by the food. Kinda hoping to at this point as it would make my overall review easier. However, when the food finally came it was pretty good. Burger was certainly thick but juicy, cheesy, with a soft bun. Truffle fries were pretty good. They could have hotter. Fry sauce was pretty good too. Overall. Food:8.0, price 7.0, friendliness of staff 1.7. Overall experience 5.5. I will not be back.

Finally! A burger joint that doesn't over cook my burger. Thank you for not ruining my meat and for cooking it to medium and not overdone like most restaurants. The string fries were great as well. The location is perfect for those of us walking from OHSU. One block isn't too far a hike. Great food for only a few bucks. We'll definitely return for more great burgers and fries.

Parking can be fairly difficult around here with a lot of one way streets, so if it's packed, you'll be driving around in circles for quite some time. The ease of ordering online isn't too simple either. I didn't want to wait too long, but the website wasn't working adequately and not getting me to the checkout so I just decided to go in and order there. Once I arrived, I was standing at the register for quite some time. Even though there were two workers, one was working on the food, the other merely glanced at me and walked in the back. Took about 5 minutes of me standing there till someone was able to take my order. Unsure if they were just poorly staffed or what was going on. The ambiance was basically screamo music playing in the background while I waited about 20 minutes to finally get my food. People who arrived after me somehow got their food prior to me although I only ordered a bacon cheeseburger with fries? Seems fairly unorganized & made me more hangry than anything.

I definitely have mixed feelings about our take out experience. It was our first time trying Little Big Burger and ordered a cheeseburger, fries, and a cider. The first hiccup was that the cider was not packed as part of our order. And maybe it was also partly my fault that I didn't check while I was still in the store and didn't realize it until we got home. The cheeseburger was good and beef flavor not overshadowed by sauces, but definitely was little and I'm a bit undecided if it's worth it. The fries were probably the best part, crisp and came with good sauces. I'll probably come back and try them out again and hope for a better experience next time.
