bright space. easy vibes. zero stress. ordered food, it hit burgers were juicy, sandwiches felt fresh, nothing greasy or sloppy. then the ice cream came in and stole the whole damn show, small-batch, creamy, rich, and actually memorable. great for a chill lunch, even better when you’re craving something sweet after. patio’s nice, service is smooth, and the place just works. one of those spots you don’t overthink, you just come back

Google
Amazing food. Incredible ice cream. Try the Cobb salad! The affogato is insanely good, and the lavender ice cream is WOWWWWWW. Please go eat here and enjoy.

Google
The ice cream was so yummy! 😋 I had the lavander blueberry and the fresh strawberry 🍓 Love the service. the young lady was nice and took her time to give us the samples we wanted to try. While waiting for our order we played some questions game they had on the table.

Google
This is a hidden gem that is an absolutely favorite beyond their amazing ice cream selections. Their burgers are some of the best in the area and everything is fresh, delicious and tasty. I would recommend eating at the restaurant where the staff and service are great - but if you do takeout or delivery - you won’t be disappointed. The Stubborn craft soda machine is a nice touch and family favorite. So if you’re in the area and want great food and some scoops - you must check it out.

Laid back (though often busy) ice cream parlor and cafe. We come back for the excellent, rotating flavors often, and the Taro and honey is a particular pldacorite of mine. Had the chance to try the pesto chicken sandwich with sweet potato wedges recently and it was a fantastic meal. Easily worth the drive from anywhere in Ventura county if you're looking for dessert!

Google
I went to your store to get my daughter her favorite ice cream to celebrate the birth of her baby at Los Robles Hospital. I asked the server, Gabby, if she could package it so it wouldn't turn to soup. Gabby was very helpful and friendly and set up a large paper bag with an ice pack in it. Thanks to Gabby, my daughter and son-in-law enjoyed their treat and it hadn't melted at all. Thank you Gabby; we'll definitely be back!

Google
The food is very good. My hub and I recently placed an online order to pickup because we were in a hurry to get somewhere. We placed our order online via their website, and arrived when the order was promised. The restaurant was not abnormally busy. We waited 10 minutes to get the food, staff didn't seem to be concerned about it being late, and the order was not right. However, I will reiterate - their food is good.

Google
Quaint family centered Cafe with classic ice cream flavors, including some topping options. My friend and I split a Banana Split and a West Coaster burger, which we made into a double and added portobello mushrooms too (great choice!). We did have to ask for the cheese, which seemed to be missing, but overall, the flavors and textures were well made. Note, my picture (usually much better) does not do the burger justice, we just got eager to eat it and the banana split came out first so I forgot to take the picture before we split it and started eating it 😅 The service staff is very young, so it seems like a great place to work as a first job. They were all friendly and helpful, even asked if I wanted to switch out any of the ice cream flavors, which I loved and thought was very thoughtful! The regular fries (they have a sweet potato option), were fresh, soft and crispy, but could use a bit more seasoning. Even as just an option to top them offer myself. I'd suggest garlic, paprika and sea salt...but even other dipping sauces could give this cafe a sweeter edge. Still very enjoyable though. Their soda machine is Subborn brand (not the ginger flavor, but the Pineapple Cream is sweet and soft, nice bubbles and was very cold, the small sample I sipped). The purple Lemonade we sampled was also good. Might be good as a mix. Maybe. I didn't notice any power outlets for work meetings or view the bathroom, so can't comment on that. The Banana Split was a nice change from my usual preference of a gelato in a cup or Waffle cone. In this case, ice cream, definitely NOT gelato, but still soft and creamy. My friend thought the flavors were less intense than we prefer and are used to, probably, because they offer toppings. They're still good, just could use more vanilla beans in that flavor and more cocao to the chocolate, fresh Strawberry chucks would up level the kick to the fresh strawberry. We enjoyed it, just would like to see a bit stronger flavors. The banana was soft, fresh and went very well together. The whipped cream is definitely light and fluffy, probably from a can. Not likely made in house, at least not thick like you can make on your own with heavy whipping cream and honey. Not bad, just something that could elevate the overall quality...especially for a $12.95 dessert! Which considering there are 3 decent sized scoops and toppings compares well to ordering a double and single. PROS Customer Service Decent quality Higher quality soda and Lemonade Ice Cream Cakes and other dessert options available (chocolate chip brownies, rice krispy treats, brownies, mud pie, etc.) Fair serving sizes Pros/Cons Average prices, we paid about $32 for one double burger with fries and a banana split to share between us. CONS Atmosphere is okay, not bad, not spectacular Flavors are great, but could be leveled up a touch Not sure if there are outlets, not ideal for longer visits Bit noisy from all the children (around 7:30pm on a Thursday night in March, 3.7.24)

Yelp
This place is a delightful ice cream shop!! I came in and tried 6 samples. Vanilla Berry Crisp, Milk and Cookies and Peanut Butter Fudge caught my eye. I went with the Peanut Butter Fudge and Vanilla Berry Crisp. Peanut Butter Fudge is like a light creamy peanut butter cup mixed perfectly with ice cream. I have never tasted something like this before, especially the texture! What sort of sucked is instead of two individual half scoops, it seemed like the two scoops blended together and I can't tell which part was the peanut butter fudge and which was the Vanilla Berry Crisp. I would say I really enjoyed the Vanilla Berry Crisps even though I'm not sure which part was what. Definitely a great ice cream experience!

Yelp
I walked in today and tried asking if they sold coffee. The lady at the front didn't even bat an eye at me and rolled her eyes and walked away. It was my first time here and I wanted to try their coffee and ice cream but to say the least I won't be going back. Update: Spoke to Scott he was very nice and courteous regarding the situation. He spoke to the lady that conducted in this way. I appreciate his help and urgency.

Yelp
I've driven past this place a ton of times but finally took my family here after Toppers. It did not disappoint! Little Calf is much more than an ice cream shop. It's a huge space & a diverse menu. Lots of sweets and baked items, along with some savory foods as well. My kids loved the strawberry ice cream in particular. Not too sweet, a lot of tartness, it was really unique and fantastic. We'll be back! I am eyeing an a la mode mini pie for next time.
google avatar

Yelp
The food looks amazing. The service is friendly and very knowledgeable. The ambience couldn't be more relaxing. The seasonal ice cream I chose was Cal Moo and Berry cream crunch. Highly recommend the ice creams and getting them in the half half scoop is good. A little pricey, but that's what you expect for the area you're in so definitely make it a treat and not a routine ha ha No military/1st responder discounts

Yelp
Was meeting friends for lunch in the area and this little spot came to mind. Saw several folks enjoying ice cream treats which was tempting, however, I stuck with the original thought and chose a salmon sandwich with a side salad. Since I'm one of the few on earth that doesn't like brioche I requested marbled rye instead. Was a gorgeous day do we chose to sit outside . Unfortunately the table we chose wasn't clean so we cleaned ourselves with water and a napkin. This place is cute with plenty of parking.
google avatar

Sophie F.

Yelp
Little Calf has delicious ice cream with many unique flavors! I tried the Honey Lavender ice cream which was really good. I will definitely come back to try the other flavors.
google avatar

Elisa H.

Yelp
Wow another gem in Thousand Oaks. This was one of the best ice creams I've had in a while! I tried the seasonal CalMoo (taro ice cream with honeycomb - WOW) and paired it with cookie dough. HUGE cookie dough pieces and lots of them. If you're a cookie dough fan you'll love it. The seasonal flavor was sooo good. I also tried the berry crumble and had that paired better with the seasonal would have gotten that. The service was fast and so friendly, and lots of space for kids and families. Next time we're in the areas we will definitely be back! Cute little questions on the tables make for fun conversation starters.

Yelp
Great place to go when you've got a sweet tooth! I've been several times and always have a great experience with both the service & the ice cream treats. The scoops are huge. I always forget how big they are and order two and end up taking it home for later. Definitely recommend Little Calf Creamery!
google avatar

Destry H.

Yelp
All I can say is this little gem has some of the most deliciously creamy ice cream ever tasted. Definitely if I'm in the area again, and have a hankering for ice cream, this is the spot!
google avatar

Amber R.

Yelp
Stopped in for a late lunch. Ordered the Turkey Brie Melt and Sweet Potato Wedges. Service was top notch and order was ready quickly. Sandwich was flavorful with perfectly creamy Brie and just the right amount of cranberry. Sweet potato wedges were delicious and portion was large! We also come regularly for the ice cream - Moorpark Road is my favorite. My only wish is for WiFi to work and stay awhile.
google avatar

Jessica H.

Yelp
This creamery is such a cute place to go & it brings back memories when I was young and getting ice cream with my mom!! The ingredients were so fresh, and I cannot wait to bring my future kids here one day and make this a family tradition!! The folks working there so kind and helpful with our selection, and the service was so welcoming!
google avatar

Breezyy B.

Yelp
Walked in and walked right out. Unfortunately I was ignored by the staff at this place :( I've been here before so it's a cute place with yummy ice cream but not sure why the service went down.
google avatar

Boj o.

Yelp
Creamiest!!! It's also not so sweet. I'm talking about their roasted coffee flavor. After a good meal from TKS next door, we wanted to gift our pallets. It was perfect at first taste, bite, lick whatever. You know what I mean. Can't wait to try other flavors!
google avatar

Sandra K.

Yelp
Beautiful ice cream cake! I ordered a couple days in advance and it was ready for pick up when they said. It was delicious!
google avatar

Russ S.

Yelp
I stopped in for a burger and chocolate shake. It was a bit pricey, but worth every penny. YUM! The employees are warm and caring. You also can eat out on the covered patio and enjoy the breeze.
google avatar

Devin B.

Yelp
What a fun little space. Part eatery part creamery it's got something for everyone. We stopped in specifically for ice cream and found more than just a scoop. They have mud pie, cookie pie, ice cream cookie sandwiches and more. Order up front and have a seat and everything is brought to your table. I opted for the dairy free chocolate almond milk in a waffle cone. The chocolate was decadent and rich and the fact that it was almond milk was even more satisfying. The waffle cone was crisp and had a slight sweetness that paired well with the almond milk chocolate ice cream. All in all an excellent stop.
google avatar

Denise V.

Yelp
Ordered a single cup with two scoops. One with coffee and salted caramel, and the other with coffee and strawberry. The coffee and fresh strawberry flavors were very creamy and tasty. There is indoor and outdoor seating. They serve food, but only tried the ice cream. Lots of parking in the strip mall. Staff was also very friendly.

Brayden K.

Yelp
The people here serving you are so nice and helpful. The food is very good also and they have a lot of options to choose from. And to finish it up the ice cream is better than words can say it is sooooo good!! Overall just an easy 5 star!!
google avatar

Diana G.

Yelp
Their mud pie is delicious! It's chocolate and layered with chocolate ice cream, which is why I visit the Little Calf Creamery. They have many other options, but I found something great I don't want to walk away from: good customer service. They also have other selections, such as food you can dine in, which I've never taken the time to order, but I will next time!
google avatar

Jennifer A.

Yelp
I got 2 scoops. 1 cookie dough and 1 blueberry lavender. The cookie dough ice cream only had a total of 3 pieces in it and was not worth it. The blueberry lavender was super interesting and cool but I likley wouldn't get it again. Very pricey, for 2 scoops it was $8.50; however, that's the norm these days outside of chains.
google avatar

Bella M.

Yelp
This place is so adorable not only is the mascot a cute little cow. But the food is great. I really like one of their burgers that has mushrooms in it and always hits the spot. My daughter of course loved the ice cream and they're always so sweet when you go. When she was younger I used to take a walk and pick up a scoop of ice cream and then come back home. Everybody is so nice so attentive and those indoor and outdoors are perfect for this beautiful spring and summer days.
google avatar

Enoc H.

Yelp
As soon as you walk in you are greeted not only with the amazing atmosphere but with the delicious smell of all the delicious foods. Although I haven't tried any of their food except for their milkshakes I can say that their burgers look amazing and will be buying one in the future. Their service is warm and welcoming. I also got to meet their mascot!, I was a little nervous but she was also nice! Reminds me of an ex I once had.
google avatar

Barbara W.

Yelp
Not only is the ice cream superb but they make the BEST salads. Highly recommend the Californian salad and the Caesar. Service is excellent. The decor is fun!
google avatar

Victor L.

Yelp
Delicious burgers, creamy ice cream, and friendly service in a relaxed, casual setting. I've been a customer at Little Calf since inception, it's even become a birthday ritual. I've tried every ice cream flavor on the menu, it's hard to pick a favorite because they're all great. A few standouts: * Moorpark Road * Lavender Blueberry * Cookie Dough * Sea Salted Caramel * Milk and Cookies Waffle cone is an exceptional complement to every ice cream flavor. Bleu Onion Burger is my standard, consistently excellent. Bonus tip: Homemade potato chips and sweet potato wedges If you haven't been to Little Calf, you're missing out on a fantastic meal in a comfortable setting, and some of the best house-made ice cream around. Thank you, Little Calf!!!!
google avatar

Jonathan A.

Yelp
Cute little icecream shop in Thousand Oaks. It's a great place to walk to on a hot evening because they have tons of seating indoors and outside. While I would like some more flavors on the menu, the service was great and I really enjoyed the chocolate chip cookies in icecream sandwich form.
google avatar

Dennis C.

Yelp
One of my favorite go to spots. The staff is always nice and the food is consistently good. The main thing you come here for though is the ice cream, which does not disappoint. The milk and cookies is for sure their best.
google avatar

Natalie Y.

Yelp
Nice flavors but peculiar texture on the ice cream. It was almost sticky and fluff like and not quite a creamy ice cream texture. The best way to describe it was like an inside of a peep candy but a litter harder. Was not expecting this from the name of the establishment that says creamery. Flavor is there but not quite what I think of when I go get ice cream
google avatar

Eric S.

Yelp
Comfortable and cozy cafe located in Thousand Oaks. They have a nice patio for outside seating. You'll order at the counter and then food is delivered to your table. I tried the meatloaf sandwich with sweet potato fries. This was a hearty sandwich and the BBQ sauce had a nice kick to it. The sweet potato fries were wedges and they were crispy and came with an aioli dipping sauce. They were some of the best sweet potato fries I'd ever tasted. Definitely a nice place for lunch. Save some room for dessert as they have quite a variety of ice cream to enjoy.

Yelp
We had a great experience at Little Calf Creamery! My wife has celiac and ordered a gluten-free salad--when we got home, we were surprised to see bread on top and got concerned. We called, and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. They quickly offered a replacement, no questions asked. When I came to pick it up, they explained that the circular bread was actually gluten-free (we had no idea!)--but they still went above and beyond to make sure we felt taken care of. It's rare to see that level of customer service these days. Big thanks to the team for being so thoughtful and accommodating!

Johnny S.

Yelp
The food was low quality, I have eaten there on multiple occasions, my salmon was bland and was so small it didn't even seem like an actual meal, my burger was rubbery and unseasoned. The service is absolutely terrible, over the past 3 years each employee has always been horrible. They seem like they hate their job and barely do the bare minimum of their job. They never have said hi to me when I walk in, they never smile. The ambiance is kind of depressing with ugly indoor lighting and the outside patio just feels run down.

Randall M.

Yelp
We had a good time with great service having lunch with friends that we we reconnected with from 5 years ago.
google avatar

Matt L.

Yelp
Support unique local businesses. They have an interesting food menu and excellent ice cream. Kids love to come here and get some ice cream and read the questions on the table. I like to go for the affogato. Not a lot of places to get good affogato, so that alone is enough to get five stars from me.
google avatar

Siobhan O.

Yelp
This is a super cute place to take kids! Gotta love an old school ice cream shop. The products are great! Love an ice cream sandwich.
google avatar

Cara C.

Yelp
The food is always great here. The restaurant is very casual and service is friendly. This restaurant has various main entree options and ice cream for dessert. If you're looking for a salad, would recommend the goat cheese and spinach.
google avatar

Stephanie G.

Yelp
So yummy!!! we love everything here! Ice cream is amazing but their new baked goods are also amazing! I love their apple pie and peach cobbler! It's so good! The staff is awesome, they're always helpful and nice. And the ambiance is like nothing else, it feels like your little towns ice cream parlor and that's exactly what it is.

B B.

Yelp
This is a casual place where you order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. It takes about 15 minutes to get your food. At the tables, there are little buckets filled with questions to ask each other. It's a fun little game to pass time while you wait for your food. My husband gets the turkey Brie sandwich. He likes it a lot. I get the veggie burger, and it's pretty good. They have fountain drinks but they aren't your regular name brand varieties. I'd prefer regular branded sodas. The service is ok. Not super friendly but not mean. Cleanliness seems to be ok too.

Diego S.

Yelp
I usually come here and get my food and their is no big deal, and I am not a fan of negative reviews on Yelp because I've worked in the restaurant industry and understand that sometimes people say things that aren't true, but tonight was very weird. The cashier who took my order was really pissed off at something, and it wasn't just with me. He was just in a terrible mood. And then I drive home and open the box and there is a clump of hair in the cheese of the burger, which isn't very ideal. Not really looking for a refund or anything like that. Just wanted someone to know what happened and that they should be using hairnets or something.
google avatar

Rachael F.

Yelp
I have been coming here for years and just love it. I had a terrible migraine this past Wednesday and was still feeling off on Thursday. I always crave salty food after a migraine so I stopped here for dinner and ordered a cheeseburger with bacon and got fries on the side. I hadn't tried their burgers up until then, and it was to die for! Just an all around perfect cheeseburger and it really hit the spot and satisfied my craving perfectly. I am also a huge fan of their turkey and brie sandwich. After my meal I got some strawberry cheesecake ice cream which was delicious, one of their best flavors in my opinion. The servers are always nice and attentive, and it can get busy here but it's not usually too bad!
google avatar

Deja G.

Yelp
Cute little cafe with yummy treats coffee and great quality ice cream I tried the milk and cookies with the coffee ice cream and was a great combo. I also got their Choclate Chip cookies which were super fresh chewy. My friends got a banana split which I wish I took a picture of it as huge ! Definitely would return so I can try some coffee or an affogato

Yelp
This visit was totally unplanned and unexpected. After a trip to the Ronald Regan Library where we got to see the WWII exhibits (which were great btw), we need a light snack so we decided to let Yelp take the wheel. We quickly found this place, which was not far and had great reviews. The place is was located on the side of a little shopping strip and it wasn't terribly busy for a Saturday afternoon. The ice cream selection was overwhelming so we had to get something to eat first and then we sat down to carefully discuss the ice cream menu more easily. The options were quite a bit, I mean you could have a cookie sandwich, a cone, a milk shake, a malt and some other interesting ice cream combinations. Deciding was the hard part but honestly all of the options looked delicious. We ended up with coffee and vanilla, a safe option that turned out to be a tasty treat. We got small options but we definitely made plans to come back with the kids another day.

Samantha E.

Yelp
Delicious food. Everything I have tried is fresh and delicious. Ice cream including dairy free are great.

Gary P.

Yelp
We have been there twice last couple months, great hamburger, with a side salad, and finished off with Ice Cream. Service very good, we sat on the patio nice when weather permits, Inside is nice too. They make the ice cream right there, always have good choices of Ice Cream, we live in Simi, so this place hop skip jump, and as we frequently find ourselves up there, for doctor appointments in the area....its one of our choices for lunch after...Highly recommended it!

Nikki M.

Yelp
I always have the most unpleasant experience at little calf. The owner is so unpleasant. Very detached, never managing a smile. He can barely say thank you. I don't know if anyone else has experienced his behavior. It's awful. There are many other places to buy ice cream . I believe it's time to try a new one.
google avatar

Kimi A.

Yelp
Love meeting friends at Little Calf,! Love the seasonal socks on the calf on display in the restaurant. Food and ice cream are consistently reliable and it's a great location to talk - inside or outside! This time I had a chocolate peanut butter milkshake...out of this world!!! My friend thoroughly enjoyed their huge rice krispie treat!!.

Vida P.

Yelp
The meatloaf sandwich still rocks. Eat 1/2 your sandwich and treat yourself to their ice cream. What a gem this little place is.
google avatar

Christian L.

Yelp
We Visit Little Calf way too often. Best ice cream this side of Utah... Glad to have it so close by!
google avatar

Freddie C.

Yelp
Came here for the first time. During a heat wave. I have to say that the scoops are good size and the ice cream is high quality. It definitely exceeded my expectations.
google avatar

Lianne K.

Yelp
We have a long- time love affair with the Little Calf Creamery part of the business. The ice creams and sorbets are most excellent in texture and flavor. Due to the pandemic we hadn't been back in a while, so it was a special treat to come back today with our Adored Grandson to cap off a great day together. As time marches on, health issues now dictate that I follow a dairy-free diet. Thankfully, Scott and his crew offer four non-dairy options. I just enjoyed the heck out of the Lemon Basil Sorbet. Extremely creamy and bursting with flavor. Can't wait to come back and try the other options! Dear Hubby gave two thumbs up to Pineapple Coconut flavor.
google avatar

Brent O.

Yelp
Always a treat to come here with the fam. Love the chips and burgers. The ice cream is so creamy and different flavors. Always friendly service. Has a family friendly feel to it.
